44501  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BIPS Wallet security breach on: November 23, 2013, 01:53:01 AM
no that is not good.  what bips does is transfer from your deposit address  to a second address.  since your monies were moved way before the breach you do not know what happened to them in the holding wallet.  my timing was the .4 btc   was put in about 1 hour to 10 hours before the breach and then moved  3 days after the breach was found it is easy to trace the history.

I need to study the address you gave me.  maybe I can figure the moves made after you put the coins in.
44502  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bank of America employee making comments about Coinbase debits on: November 23, 2013, 12:24:55 AM
heck my bank called my home and asked me why I did business with coinbase. Guy new my full name and me bank account and the two transactions made with coinbase,  wanted to know what I buy from them.  Since I plan to claim all my BTC earnings I simply answered 'coins'.  He said the bank was doing a money laundering check I said okay.  So if you are usa based and use coinbase you will be clocked  and reported as dealing in coins.   pay your taxes boys and girls.  btw this is a very good thing. anyone that remembers the dot com boom can imagine that the gov is getting behind this and wants it to work.   coins could go up and over the 1000 dollar mark.

do you have the driver loaded

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=161155335166

if you go here you can see photos of a correct bfgminer setup on bit minter  so let us say you have the driver loaded.  what version of bfgminer do you use?

btw I had a lot of problems due to my poor coding skills  .  In fact I am doing it in a way that is not quite what others type such as the reply above

but my way does work. I even did the pencil mod today and boosted my numbers from 2.2 to 2.5 gh
44505  Economy / Securities / Re: Cloudhashing ASIC mining contracts, UK LTD company - Now Mining & Paying Bitcoin on: November 22, 2013, 09:23:19 PM
Bad enough that cloudhashing  did not pay all my early coins.

Now all my earnings are going to a frozen account and cloudhashing will not answer my request to unlock my BTC address.  So when I earn my next .1 btc it will move to a frozen wallet.

Well for now I was able to up the transfer from .1 to .2  I am at .04  so  it will take time to go to .2 .

maybe the wallet will be unfrozen by bips.me or maybe CH will fix the in ability to unlock your BTC address since it needs changing.  what a source of annoyance Sad
44506  Economy / Securities / Re: Cloudhashing ASIC mining contracts, UK LTD company - Now Mining & Paying Bitcoin on: November 22, 2013, 09:20:27 PM
It would be nice if you unlock my btc address. I need to change it.

44508  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BIPS Wallet security breach on: November 22, 2013, 08:58:47 PM
I am out about .39 btc  but my money was in the address up to the 20th and was not pulled out until later then the crash.  my money was pulled out at about 23:39 pm the 20th of nov Greenwich time.

https://blockchain.info/address/1AyWHY6kCMi4F221J7aPheiYdAvkDbcdPp

https://blockchain.info/tx/4d6bc489bdb2f32d397eb2aa3844f2e6711b934399af5f62b11c9ded8c84edbf

My guess is the money above was saved by bips  if you look at it the amounts were tiny

the highest was 1.2 btc the lowest was under .1 btc

What annoys me is not the .39   but I have an account with cloudhasher  and they are going to continue to put money into that address over the next 9 months.  I am really fucking annoyed.  But my losses may only be .7 or .8 btc when all is said and done.

Now for someone with 90 coins oh that hurts.  good luck to you ghengis34

How are you able to look this info up?  I have the BIPS address I used to deposit the coins a few days prior to the heist...

go to www.blockchain.info   in the middle of the page is a search engine put your  btc address  and you will see the info.

If the coins were pulled on the 20th like mine you are most likely okay.  if they where pulled on the 16th-18th   you are less likely okay.

Anyone who has done the pencil mod can you be as kind to upload a few pictures of the lines on what parts how thing etc to do the lins. Thx in advance.

Where the white line is where you want to use your pencil on the side of that resistor. Don't waste your time doing it on the top. There is some sort of coating that the graphite wont stick to.

did the pencil mod jumped to 2.62 from 2.29.  my hub has 9 be's and one red fury. i am using a 10 port aitech black all aluminum hub with a 5amp 12 volt brick.  before the mod my k-watt meter was 34.7 watts it is now 35.1 watts. i did 3 pencil rubs with light pressure.  i need to get more sticks.  but .4 watt = .4gh boost not bad.

I went back traced the spot 3 more times now read 2.73/2.62/2.51.  the  power went up some  more and a fan is a must.  but looks like running this at 2.6 is possible with pencil trick.
I did the second mod hot since I am a bit more comfortable with doing it. I am thinking ten of these at will pull around 38 watts  at the plug hashing at 26gh.  pretty good numbers

would you also accept paypal for buying the miner itself?
I'd prefer not to spend my btc right now

well that would be nice if he did. Sending him 2 btc = 1500 usd.  This  is one reason I am a bit hesitant to buy from him.   Frankly I don't want to buy any gear with btc anymore.  Unless I know the seller.

I am fine with Paypal, since I will be easier for me to buy shipping labels (no need to convert BTC to GBP... da di da di da). Do send me all the details for me to identify your order so that I can add you to the order list.

Thanks

good paypal does help me feel better about the ordering process.   let us know the prices.  I am looking for 11 or more if the price is good.  A bad price I would still get one or two.

best mining equipment for $1000 dollars to mine this year any ideas? 10 blue furys? 4 jallas?

You cannot get the best equipment right now. Get contracts from cex.io, For USD 1,000. You will get 13Gh/s for the initial, Or you can just use pokey by proxy for the fun.
why pay that? this is under 600

2 blades are .78 btc  they hash at 21gh

 .78btc is about  575usd

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=313105.0

I vote neither of the above!

well  he would be better off with the blades.  in fact he could buy 3 blades and a psu for just about 1000 usd.

that is 32 gh for 1000 vs 13 gh for 1000 from cex.io.  the price point for cex.io is 1.5- 2x what it should be
