666 Terahash, what the carp?  ... ... ...  Wink
Satanic hashrate.

When the speedo hit 666 I did a screen capture, then went to open paintnet, to paste it and Machine blew up !
No smoke, just several hours of bluescreen fixing, Block from hell - Yup.

So I did not save the screen it vanished....

However, because it's proportional, there really needs to be stats on a per block basis - manually reset is a step closer but still annoying. The idea is to be able to see your actual shares / block to verify the reward.

I think I misunderstood what you meant. What you are talking about will of course be implemented. What I have in mind is that you would click on a block from the block list and come to another page showing how the earnings were split between users. It could show username, number of shares, and BTC paid. Once I get voluntary donations implemented it could show that as well. And also transaction fees and rounding errors. In short, a page to show where every little amount of the bitcoins we earned went.

This may seem like a breach of privacy to some users. But I think it is important for users to be able to see everything that is happening - how else can they trust the pool? What do you think?

I don't believe it would be a breach of privacy if it's a public pool I.E. anyone can join. just like when you step out of your house into the public domain you have no right to the expectation of privacy

So just how many days is possible at the current difficulty and hash rate?

Also Could this be a dodgy block? I mean someone found the solution but withheld it?

I noticed the chat bots are gone, how can we check !round status? There were only 3 idlers in chat. Also, 3 days no blocks at 650-700 THPS? Is that statistically even possible?

I noticed the chat bots are gone, how can we check !round status? There were only 3 idlers in chat.

That's a net split (IRC lingo). The bot and everyone else were still there, but they couldn't see you 3, and you 3 couldn't see them. Happens on IRC sometimes. People are talking in the same channel, but they are separated into different islands that cannot communicate.

Also, 3 days no blocks at 650-700 THPS? Is that statistically even possible?

It's not really about 3 days. It's about the amount of work and the difficulty. You can sum that up with CDF. The CDF is currently 99.77% which is very bad luck - but we have seen worse in the past.

It is statistically possible that the biggest pool never finds another block ever again. But it's extremely unlikely.

what's funny is that NMC block are still found. Should not they go always together with BTC? I do not know the real mechanics, but iI see in the history of ALL blocks that they always come in pairs.
Edited: I guess I understand. BTC hash should be more "difficult", hence if we find a hash fit for BTC, it's good also for NMC, however the inverse is not true. :-/

I'm starting to feel like I  might have broke the pool with that last block... Smiley

when will it end!!!  Cry

----

so as for my unseating, well I have a bunch of miners on order, but more importantly im trying to build up my datacenter, right now I have only 25 tons of aircon and im also trying to build out a 10-20Mw substation to feed it depending on what the power company will allow..

I wont be pulling ahead of Koi anytime soon, but this fall will be interesting.

Friends,

when I mine with my amazing 1GHS rig, how much should I set the difficulty of my worker and should I activate the easy mining perk?

Friends,

when I mine with my amazing 1GHS rig, how much should I set the difficulty of my worker and should I activate the easy mining perk?

Setting a higher minimum difficulty or using the easy mining perk to reduce difficulty is only useful at very high hashrates. At 1 GH/s you can just leave it at the default.
