as a price point  ant miner is selling a non auction right here

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=348747.0

they ask 4.25 BTC for a 180 gh machine.   this is a flat price.   seems to me we could list our 1 for 11 BTC  it would be a bargain compared to the 180 gh x 3 = 12.75  for 540 gh for unproved tech.

while we would be 11 BTC for 550gh proven tech.
44422  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DZ MC: Round 5-6, KnC Jupiters. Please move ?s and discussions here. on: November 27, 2013, 06:42:21 PM
 sell I have 19 share 10 in r5 and 9 in r6 or

maybe 9 in r5 and 10 in r6      but either way I have 19 shares combined.

My 1 condition is I would like to try an auction here with BTC only and a minimum bid  say 8tc which is about 8k. this really stops all charge back issues.   Based on the lack of gear and our coop's rep We should get  8btc easy much more base on this auction

44423  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DZ MC: Round 5-6, KnC Jupiters. Please move ?s and discussions here. on: November 27, 2013, 05:25:37 PM
in thinking more we could auction off both machines set a minimum at 8btc run the model like this auction

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=344948.0    if we got 10btc for each machine  which is possible..

that is about 20btc at 950 usd or 19000.  plus all the dividends.

and bob could still host to the winner of the auction until either the winner came to pick it up had it shipped off or told bob keep hosting.

selling 2 machines at auction on this site could net  us 19.5k     or 97.50 usd a share we paid in 79 usd a share IIRC.

not counting all the btc  we already got plus the btc due to us.  on the 30th of nov.  (about 11btc for the 2 buys and growing)

if the auctions did well we may get 12 or 13 btc for each one  that is 25btc  and 11btc for the dividends = 36btc or near 36000  across both buys comes to 180 usd a share.

plus whatever we got on the oct 15 oct 30 nov 15 payments.

My dad was a compulsive gambler   he bet all he had all the time.  He used to tell me  whenever you have a chance to have a certain winner always do it.

The idea of converting this buy into close to 36000 usd   with the sale of the 2 machines and the upcoming dividends really appeals to me. Quite a bit.
I already cashed all payments as they came so at this point in time for every 100 in I got 102 back.

If the sales above worked I would clear  about 3420 usd. from it.  I have already cashed for 1522 usd

so that would mean all my income on this = 4942   I paid in 1482  .    that is a good deal.
44424  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DZ MC: Round 5-6, KnC Jupiters. Please move ?s and discussions here. on: November 27, 2013, 03:40:47 PM
makes sense .  now if I list it .  we need to figure out a way to prevent charge backs.  I would be honest  to say I love the sell it idea but we may be better off selling it right here on this site.

look at this auction right here.

 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=344948.0

they got 4.75 btc for a 180gh machine..    no one knows if the machine is good.

we have a 550gh working machine

if we got 3x that it would be 14.25btc for a machine  no chargebacks.

the price when that machine sold was 800 usd btc is now 936.

I would think someone would buy this at more then 10 btc in an auction easy.

we could set the first bid at 8 btc  that is break even price .      so we would have paid 0 for the shares.  and all dividends are your profit.
44425  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DZ MC: Round 5-6, KnC Jupiters. Please move ?s and discussions here. on: November 27, 2013, 03:23:33 PM
We now have R19 Neptune set up by request from our co-op.

However, I can't believe the prices that people are actually *still* paying on ebay for these:

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=knc+jupiter&LH_Complete=1&rt=nc

What's the general consensus on this? Even w/ ebay's awful fees, we'd still all stand to gain by selling soon, if that's what our majority want. A sale at this price is likely to be well over what the unit will generate (unless BTC prices continue to skyrocket).

If so: let me know as I need to go get my PayPal acct. out of limited status (they're not happy when you do a CC chargeback on BFL Jallys outside PayPal's 45 day refund window). That or we'll sell it thru Thomas's or Philip's account, if he's game.

Starting a vote. Please vote and tell your friends and tell other R5-6 co-op members to vote if you'd like to influence this vote.

Also: please follow up with a PM or public vote, including your number of share votes. We'll hold voting thru Saturday evening. Hopefully everyone will have stopped by before then.

Please also feel free to discuss the pros vs. cons of this early sale.

Thanks!
Sell it  just the one I have an offer from ebay 50 dollar max in fees.     let me get back with my ebay offer info.

At current exchange rate on BTC/US$ i've reached the roi too... Never thought of this high jump in rates exchange of the last weeks...

@philipma1957 sometimes more than one day from their release of btc on the wallet and phisical arrive, probably they are paying very low low fees that why it takes so long.
coins came in a few hours ago.  yeah I agree they pay 0 fees.

BTW with a bull market if the BTC came last night  I would have cashed  at 845 BTC . BTC is now 906  his delay made me about 8 bucks.
44428  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Bitcoin USB Block Eruptors - The Quickest Way to Start Mining? on: November 27, 2013, 06:03:34 AM

If you mine on cex.io with this kit  you would earn  BTC NMC DEV and ITX coins.   BTC the NMC has some value.   You could then add more hash via the cex.io site.

Cex.io has a pool? I thought they were a subscriber mining company where you pay them BTC monthly and they would mine things for you or something.

You can actually add your own mining hardware to their pool and receive 4x coins? What?!

i really don't see how these are fetching the prices on ebay. Do people really jump on a bandwagon without checking?

I bought 4 about before the main BL hardware to test my calculations without wasting money and now they're nearly heading towards being 4x what i paid so bang goes picking up a few more just to fill the usb hub, lol

Should really sell mine but it's not to keep your starter equipment as a souvenir. Smiley

Yeah they're going for $50+ a piece now...  Shocked Here's two that sold for $150, so that's basically $75 for one block erupter: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-Asicminer-Block-Erupter-USB-Bitcoin-ASIC-miner-335-Mh-s-In-Hand-No-Reserve-/231099768863

But really, $9 a week for x1 of them?! That's.... great news.....
yes I mine home miners to the cex.io   pool..

I purchased a small .1 share of ghs for like .008 btc   so I have an account.  I then used bfgminer software (thank you luke Jr.)  and send the few am sticks and redfuries to  the cex.io pool

for usa the address is

stratum+tcp://us1.ghash.io:3333

then my worker is

   {workernamethatIpicked}.ghash

password is blank or what ever.

Still waiting.

assuming it shows up I will have collected a grand total of 1.32 btc..

I use a sell it the day it comes method.   to calculate roi.

I sell it on coin base.

july 4 to july 27 no hashing as promised.  more then 1btc at the time about $100 usd

aug 7-------0.10600  =  96.85 usd  ----------------      10.26 usd  -----------missing hash this three short falls are about 1.5

aug 21------0.17220 = 111.53 usd ----------------        19.20 usd------------missing hash btc or about 180 usd

sept  4------0.21109 = 121.94 usd ----------------        25.74 usd------------missing hash

sept 18------0.29672 =  127.31 usd ---------------        37.77 usd

Oct    2------0.26425 =  127.42 usd ---------------        33.67 usd

Oct   26------0.11149 = 184.35 usd----------------        20.55 usd

Nov  14------0.10087 = 413.24 usd----------------         41.68 usd

Nov  26------0.06246 =  906.10 usd-----------------       56.58  usd

total---------1.32???

my totals are about 239.81 usd on a 734 usd outlay.   make that  245.45 since the payment came so slowly when it came it was worth more!

the amazing thing is  if coins go upward even with so many wrongs this could break out even on a fiat basis.

so if he had been on time and I cashed it as I got it.

I would have about 520 usd not 240 usd.

 this calc has   value

 1ghs = 5 usd a week.

so If I  sold this  kit to you

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=151173097332

for 125 usd  you may lose or make money. My guess is lose.

If I sold this for 99  you would stand a better chance.  I could sell this for 150 on ebay if I had more of them.  The 125 I sold them for  was about 30 less then anyone else on ebay.

I would say  the kit above is worth about  80-90 with current btc price.

If you mine on cex.io with this kit  you would earn  BTC NMC DEV and ITX coins.   BTC the NMC has some value.   You could then add more hash via the cex.io site.

If you are new and find a kit like the above kit. for 80 bucks you should get it.    If you are new this would be a low cost way to get started.    Down the road you could add sticks.

44433  Economy / Securities / Re: Cloudhashing ASIC mining contracts, UK LTD company - Now Mining & Paying Bitcoin on: November 27, 2013, 01:10:55 AM
made roi plus a little more!  cashed out and gonna pay my cc bill. i got my indefinite contracts to 90% rrp. let's see what happens. at this point i dont care anymore. as long as i got my money back, i'm good.

The tricky thing has always been whether we should me measuring ROI in fiat or in BTC.

If you measure it in fiat, you are kidding yourself a bit, because you would have done better if you just bought BTC.  = wrong logic it is same as thinking if my grandma had balls she would be my grand dad.

On the other hand, we all pay our living expenses in fiat... so it is important to us. Personally I try to measure ROI in BTC, but if I don't make ROI, I still feel ok about the investment unless I lose on a fiat basis.

if you roi in fiat your government will call that a profit.  btc roi is meaningless …   fiat roi is all that matters.   if you want an investment strategy   invest in btc and a cloud farm. along with a little in hand miner.

as an aside my btc left ch and is on the way to my  changed address.  lets see how long it takes to show up.
44434  Economy / Securities / Re: Cloudhashing ASIC mining contracts, UK LTD company - Now Mining & Paying Bitcoin on: November 27, 2013, 01:01:52 AM
I also changed my thresh hold level and should see a payment in 24 hours or less.  my guess is cloud hashing may have some th on cex.io     ..

any one with gear  in hand  can direct a miner to cloud hashing or to cex.io

you know really annoys me to be fair to cloudhashing.  I may eventually pull my don't trust rating against him.

his service to me has been far better then bfl or bips.me .

he still screwed me early hash power but  part of the reason was fucking bfl. I will wait for a bit as I still feel all early adopters did not get correct fix for the lack of hash.
44435  Economy / Securities / Re: Cloudhashing ASIC mining contracts, UK LTD company - Now Mining & Paying Bitcoin on: November 27, 2013, 12:58:13 AM
cloudhashing has allowed me to change address. so the next payment will be at my correct address.

I think we are going to pass on this one.. KNC are some sneaky ones, but playing the game very well.

well only paying them in btc is a bit nerve wracking.  but   using 18% a diff adjustment works well

http://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator   this gives a starting diff of 3189m on the 26th of march  your numbers start us at about 11000m.

most likely the real number is in the middle of those 2  estimates.

After running my remaining 12 BFs for some weeks fine with 1.900 to 2.800 GH, I have trouble since about a week. They are hashing for about 5 to 10 Minutes and then they are Zombies. I already bought other PSUs and Hubs and am running a fresh and clean git pulled Minepeon 0.2.4. It doesn't matter if there is 1 or 5 in a Hub (each Hub with at least 3A PSU, No Hub with more than 5 Units). I even changed the Multi socket (is it called so?) where the PSUs are plugged in.
Does any only have an idea? I can't believe they are all faulty...

I am getting some more red furies on fri.

mine work great on windows 7 and with bfg.  if you want to lend me a bad stick I could run it on my system see if I get better results. I am in New Jersey.

I would try putting 1 of them on real pc use bfg use cg even use bit minters java code. compare results.

remember a pi is basically a toss away piece of gear.  at least try 2 or more mining clients. on your gear.

a clever buyer can game you.

So what is the solution?  I mean to get the exposure of eBay without the risk of getting "had"?  Take BTC only?
[/quote]

pick up only after you are paid in btc.  meet in a public place like a mall food court etc.

on big items I still do this. cash  is not quite as safe.   I altered my entire sales patterns on ebay due to bad buyers.

I try to find an item for low cost and flat rate box.  if you study my sales on ebay you will see lots of usb stick in small flat rate boxes  3 pack set 4  pack set  5 pack set.   the incentive is less for a clever dishonest buyer. when the money to be made is under 30 or 50 usd.

44440  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY EU] #1 Bitmain Antminer U1 USB Erupter [ANN] on: November 26, 2013, 09:47:37 PM
HI all, we now focus most our energy on increase the production. Though I am a PR in this team, I packaged lots of miners myself in the last few days. We are hiring people and rent larger facilities. My time and attention on this forum were mostly put on the auction threads, which will send out tens of S1 miners into the community to help Antminer build solid trust in the community.

The mass produced PCB for the U1 has arrived this afternoon, and we need two or three days to make the the first batch of USB miner and another 2~3 days to test\package\ship it.

For distributors, we want to establish and go into business relationship when we know more sure what we can commit and what we cannot.

cxboyminer has been contacted with us before we announced the products. We will guarantee that he will get enough USB miners for this group buy, but no more than 10k miners, IF cxboyminer think the price is OK. Yes, the price has not been determined.

so 10k usb sticks max  to cxboyminer? sweet now please sell it at a good price.
