this buy will remain open for quite a while maybe as late as mid JAN.   The coop will get a lot of these.
44383  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: KNC Jupiter, still profitable NOW? on: November 30, 2013, 11:52:17 AM
I have an opportunity to purchase two KNC Jupiters, basically brand new for $8k each. Do you think the Jupiter is still profitable right now and for the next two months or so?
have you seen what these go for on eBay or even here on bitcointalk?
even if you think they're not going to be profitable mining, they're sure going to be profitable to resell.

if you don't want them I'll have them for 8K each.

yeah he could sell one for 20k on ebay  which would mean the other one cost -4000 well -3000  after fees.

frankly I doubt the price as it approaches the too good to be true concept.

to me any seller that understood enough to buy one at 7k  months ago.  would know that a private sale for BTC only. should get 10btc or 10-11k  not 8btc or 8.8k.   ebay is selling them over 20k.  and with careful writing of your ad on ebay you can get payment in btc. not paypal.

To be clear  I believe the op that he got the offer.  I just am not sure that the person that gave the offer to the op is trustworthy based on the low price.

Hello fellow miners ,
I wonder if any one has a simple way of getting a wallet for namecoin or a video instructional for a windows vista computer ?

I have tried in the past but I could never successfully follow the directions and end up with a place to store the namecoins I am mining here .

This man spiked my interest .http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjN4PA8Zp2M&feature=em-uploademail.

I would convert them into btc for you.   put them in this address

MyQpF1yqNDHH2znc74vifXBWr5xsRKL2oJ

the exchange I use   is giving about .0085 btc for 1 nmc  so 10 nmc are about .085btc  and 100 nmc are about .85btc

https://vircurex.com/welcome/index?referral_id=756-12066

this one is an exchange but they have fees. the link is my referral link I get tossed a few bucks for your joining.

if you goal is cold storage of nmc  in a paperwallet why?    I would rather do that with btc.  but to each their own.

(edit done)

2 knc miners will earn about .8 coins a day for the next  11 days.  that is 8.8 coins.

 a coin sells for 1156 usd on coinbase 8.8 x 1156 = 10172

even if the next jump is 30%  and diff moves from 710 mill to 923 mill  2  machines would earn .59 coins a day for 11 days  that is 6.49 so in 22 days you would have 15.29 coins at 1152 usd each  or 17,614.

i had issues on Osx Mountain Lion with java (could have been something i was doing wrong) i updated to mavericks and it works fine with the bluefury usb. I was using the beta client on a macbook air.

I had issues on OSX ML     the java client would report timeout for a red fury/

this also happened on windows 7.  but pointing  bfgminer I have 3 sticks (red fury)  they all add up to 7.7gh and my big stats page give me 7.7gh.  this is with beta client

Without 100% vote selling cannot proceed , even 80% vote is not enough.

okay not quite sure about the math.  r5 + r6 = 200 shares……. 80 percent of 200 shares is 160.     so if 101 of the 160 shares want to sell.  that makes for 101 out of 200 or 101 to 99.  That would be more then half the shares .

this shot shows the printer = device page.

call that page up.  press your rest button watch the device vanish let go of the reset button watch the device return.

it will help you to be sure that the device works correctly and that you enter your add a device bfgminer command at the right time.

44392  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Blue Fury Support Thread. on: November 30, 2013, 12:19:48 AM
some observations on these sticks :

one) the pencil mod helps

two)  good hub is a must these sticks want power

three) good power brick is a must these sticks want power

four )  hitting reset button may not work there is a timing issue you should call up your windows device and printers window
then press one of your reset buttons you will see the com(#) vanish let go of the reset button the com(#) reappears .  let us say it is my com546 .
my bfg window should  be at   bpm:\\.\com546

press reset   make the com546 vanish from the windows device screen .

let go of rest com546 pops back   your bfg command line is ready for you to hit enter   you have 1-3 seconds   longer f u   too soon f u.   device not found  enter the command in that 1-3 sec zone it will find the device.

a fan helps. I am happy enough to want about 8-20 to run I do have one semi dud running a bit low i have one very good one running a bit high and 1 normal one.

Yeah the chance to sell a knc at 20K + will not last a long time.   Unless coins go up to the moon.  hash fast  may really come out with gear. ant miner may mass produce. BTC may drop to 200 usd.

fun times for the next few weeks.
44395  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: November 29, 2013, 06:50:59 PM
Yes, I think you are right, ASIC technology will be very valuable and rare if the hyberbolic price continues since it's smarter to mine with it than sell it. All this talk about BTC ROI is just retarded, having a machine that generates a salary is not!

btc roi means nothing.  fiat roi is the goal.

My piece of a knc has returned 342 usd for a 78 usd share .

it has returned .39btc for a .63btc investment.

come tax time the IRS does not give 2 or 3 shits about btc return   but they do care about usd return.
44396  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Black Arrow R9-12 threads, DZ Miners Co-op. Plz move ?s and discussion here. on: November 29, 2013, 05:09:32 PM
it is the 29th  we moved up to about 75.58 btc   so minus the 39.88  paid out we have about  35.7 minus fees we have a bit over 35 btc for payout

so a share would be 35/400 = .0875  with maybe one more set of btc to add to that.    but .0875 at 1100 a btc is around  96.25 usd .

in usd terms we will have our usd back and then some with the next payment.

To Dz Coop keep up the good work!!
44397  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DZ MC: Round 5-6, KnC Jupiters. Please move ?s and discussions here. on: November 29, 2013, 04:55:28 PM
Well, since it's clear that the majority of people who responded to the poll here want to sell, perhaps we should make a new poll asking where to sell, and how many to sell? I'm personally in favor of selling at least one, however I would be OK with selling both of them.

I agree with the above.

First     choice sell one for around 25k and hold the other

Second choice sell both for around 50 k.

And the adjustment has happened.. 707.4 mill up from 609.5  about 15.6%
44398  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] - ADDICTION - KNCMiner - Now hashing at 14+TH! on: November 29, 2013, 03:47:36 PM
hi boss, i heard that jupiters can be sold in market for 25 btc each.  if 1 btc=1k usd, then that's 25k usd.  i dont know if this rumor is true.  but if its true, do you think its a good idea to sell our miners at 25 btc each?

Our group buy is going to sell one of our 2.  read this thread and look at my test probe for a usa ebay price.  Also see that I figured a way to force BTC and not paypal on an ebay sale.  this would mean no chargebacks.

I can help tyrion70 with instructions on an ebay sale that will accept only BTC.

look at this thread  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=334360.0

see this post on the thread.  this is from page 4 post 77.

the offer history.  I am going to be gone for a few days I ended the listing as I feared someone would pay the 32222 asking price is I left it up!

and the ad

44399  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DZ MC: Round 5-6, KnC Jupiters. Please move ?s and discussions here. on: November 29, 2013, 03:30:26 PM
Just got back from a 200 mile round trip to do Turkey Day.  To all USA people happy T Day one day late.  To all none USA people we have a lot to be thankful for if we are in on buys r5-r6

Diff will change in 1 hour  looks to be at 705 mill just under 16%.  so our 550gh knc will earn about .39 btc a day for 11 days.   coin base is at 1100 usd.

so 11 days x .39 =  4.29 coins x 1100 = 4729 usd.   my feelings are this.  we have 2x machines ..   we are really far ahead.  I do not want an all or nothing mentally .

1)sell both = we are really smart if coins drop  and dumb if coins go up    the downside is coins got to 10000usd.  the upside is if coins go to 100usd

2)keep both = we are really smart if coins go up and dumb if coins drop   the downside is coins drop to 100usd.  the upside is if coins go to 10000 usd.

3)sell one  and keep one   ======  I want to do this.    if we get 25k or more  for the one.  we will be half right and half wrong.  but still make a lot of cash.  so this is my pick

I figure  for number  1 if we  sell 2 at 50k  it  sounds good and if coins do 10000 a coin  we lose a chance to make serious money.

I figure for number 2  if we sell none    and coins drop to 100 a coin  we lose close to 50k

I figure for number 3  if we split the baby  we get 25k for sure  and at 100 a coin we do meh  but at 10000 a coin we still have 1 machine.

So I like selling one and keeping one.

I would sell both.

Holding both knc's  smacks of greed  and I really do not want to hold both.  to me holding both is the only way to lose a good score.
