44441  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: KNCMiner Neptune 3TH miner $9,995 on: November 26, 2013, 09:44:17 PM
This price sucks! It should be price calculated to deliver same btc/usd as a Jupiter did when they were released. This has no chance, unless btc is going to 3k each in a few months...

crappy... KNC were the leaders in price/performance, now there just cashing in like the rest.  Why is the motto now that only HW manufactures are allowed to make any money in bitcoin mining?

+1

I'm also out.. too expensive. It 'll never going to ROI !

KnC is a capitalist company focused only on profit. It doesn't support open source projects.. They never showed us respect for being "valuable customers" any single time. They have been taking advantage on us with their high marketing skills since the first day.

So a company that shipped its first product less then 30 days late.  and shipped it at 500+ hash not 350+ hashed fucked us over?  what world are you living in?

thanks.  you look competitive .  I am awaiting coins. they come on fri. or sat.   I will see if you have shares left then.
44443  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: KNC Miner [NEPTUNE] GROUP BUY #1 Available shares [32/32] .50 BTC (May Increase) on: November 26, 2013, 07:06:25 PM
okay that make them much closer to the same value if I  comparison shop.  .5btc right now is 425.usd so you sre 4.25 usd a gh right now, but fee free later on.  last question if 20 months of mining pass and you sell the gear off  say for 1600 usd or 50 usd a share

do we get a piece of that sale?
44444  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: KNC Miner [NEPTUNE] GROUP BUY #1 Available shares [32/32] .50 BTC (May Increase) on: November 26, 2013, 07:03:11 PM
yes this is a no fee item?   I ask for a fee reasons Dz miner offers 60 gh for 225 usd   or about   3.75 usd a gh
44445  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Next Generation Miners on: November 26, 2013, 06:57:33 PM
the price on the Neptune is about $10,000.00 for previous customers.
  so 3.33 usd a gh times 3000 gh = 10000 usd

they say 2nd quarter .  well late 1st or second quarter .    so march 20th? to may 1st fits the bill.  a long way off.  still kn has made money for me so I may get me some
44446  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / I ended this sale on: November 26, 2013, 05:45:36 PM
Okay I ended this sale

44451  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY EU] #1 Bitmain Antminer U1 USB Erupter [ANN] on: November 26, 2013, 11:06:07 AM
Did you send them the 0.005 BTC per item price suggestion ? Wink
Cheesy

But serious numbers are  4000 usd divide by 180   =  22.22 usd  a gh

 so 1.6 x 22.22 = 35.55   would be the minimum possible.

I would think they can sell it at 50usd and make money. I would think I can buy them at 85 usd and make money on ebay and mining 50-50 mix.  over 85 I lose interest.

If these work well They sell on ebay at under 200usd more like 140-175.  Very short window at that price. Then a big drop.

so .1btc would be my max price
44452  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Wonder if the High Price of Bitcoins is affecting Manufacturers on: November 26, 2013, 10:37:12 AM
yeah why kill off the goose?

It is simple smart business. and bfl has been a leader at this.  (they still have money from me since jan 2013) .

In a way I do not blame them. Since no one is sure how long this will last. If I mine 100 Jupiters that is 55 th.

So if I sold 2000 of them. That would be 1100th about 20% network jump> So I

delay shipping them until  I test all 2000 100 each day.(55th)  the next diff adjustment stays lower. I keep the adjustment lower for 20 days or so. This just happened last adjustment was under 20% next adjustment is going to be under 20%

I get to mine 55th at a better diff for 21 days. I mine 5% or 100 of them for 1 day. Do this then put them aside. after testing all 2000 units Then ship them call it quality control or good business. The fact fact is that would be legal and a 20 day delay how much coin is 55th for 20 days at 800 usd a coin?  A lot of coins.

I argue they should do this as returns would be reduced bugs found yada yada yada.  It also helps me as I have 250th in hash as I type.
44453  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: WTF is with Miner Prices on Ebay? on: November 26, 2013, 10:19:40 AM
There's a sucker born every minute. Most of the world out there has no idea how to calculate how much money they're (not) going to make with mining hardware. Even the informed people on this forum struggle with it.

much of the confusion involves :
1) BTC to USD(fiat)

2) the lack of  understanding that " if you had purchased BTC and held it you would have made more money". means absolutely nothing in calculations

3)all calculations are  worthless  beyond 3 diff adjustments.

4) you need a basic understanding of your country's tax and accounting laws to determine profit.

As for 1000 usd for a little single.

 if I have 90 am sticks I have 30gh
3 am sticks  sell for 125 on ebay
so if I sell 30 of my sticks I get 1250.  90 sticks = 3750 but I want to do this fast so

if I sell the hubs I was using I get 9x 50 if they were 10 port hubs= 450  that is 1700 shipping and fees vary but less then 300  so I net 1400

pay 1000 for the ls   I have 400 in pocket  I burn less power to run the ls
.    I tell myself don't be greedy and sell 3 sticks for 100 I have the best price on ebay by far..  30 sales of 3 will happen in 2 or 3 days.  gross funds are 30 x 100.   after fees of 5 to ship and 7 for paypal/ebay  I net 88 a  sale or 30 x 88 = 2640

and I then sell the 10 hubs for 40 each as used .  that is 400   after fees about 320  2640+ 320 = 2960  buy the LS for 1000 get ebay rebates of at least 40 bucks   so 960  2960-960 = 2000 net!!

same hash power.   and 2 k richer!!     plus the LS uses less wires.  and a little less power.

so for me the owner of a 90 stick usb farm the 1k price makes sense.  and just think if I purchased the sticks at the low of 7 usd each.  those 90 sticks may have been as little as 630 usd.

This is why the game has deep complex moves for money gain and loss.

A 630 usd investment  could have been made and turned into 2k usd and a LS.

For the same reason a 250 red fury makes sense. 6 am sticks and a hub go for about 300 .  I get 2.5gh instead of 2gh some cash in hand and less hubs and sticks to deal with.

this is also good news   since it won't arrive  until nov 30th to dec 2  the next diff increase will not jump so high.

what would be nice is these come the 1st day of the new diff jump.

don't worry they were under .0025  so .00399 is fine….   I have seen them at .0007 for a low  and at .0101 as a high.

44458  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Where to buy USB erupters on: November 25, 2013, 06:05:36 PM
I ma interested in buying ASICminer block erupter usb miner, but they are way too expensive in ebay and even here, can anybody point where to find them for normal price 8-10$ ?
price was as low as .035 btc when btc was 200 bucks .

so they were as low as 7 each  4x btc and the new normal is 28 bucks.   you would be lucky to find them at 28 bucks.

 amazon = 45 usd plus

 ebay = 40 usd plus

I have 6 BE's  left.   I will most likely sell mine when my red furies show up.
44459  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Scammers on Ebay on: November 25, 2013, 04:03:10 PM
I sold a PC on eBay about a yr ago. Did it the right one new parts, bench tested, posted via courier packaged super food.
I get postive feedback and he is thrilled with the item. 2days later apparently it stopped working. He wanted a refund. PayPal froze my account, took back the $1500 he paid for me and basically said I have to prove I'm in the right.

So I got the PC back mind you in pieces! I took photos and tested it all. Sent them to PayPal along with a teat report. Nope I was s having to give him a refund. I took the components back to my supplier. The GPUs where fried, Mobo was dead and the PSU was not the one I sent.

In the end with all my evidence and as well as warranty and replacement documents from my supplier I still had to give the refund and pay PayPal back the $1500.. so Yeh I'm done with them Fkn useless.

yeah I stopped doing my  mac mini upgrades due to this.  a clever buyer can game you.  most of my sales now are under 250 usd.
44460  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: What Beginner Hardware for $1000? on: November 25, 2013, 03:58:00 PM
So, I'm new to BTC mining, I've only been doing it for three days. I've been using my GeForce GTX 560 Ti and I purchased a block erupter off of Amazon. I'm currently hashing at around 420Mh/s and would love more hashing power.

I've got a maximum budget of $1,000 for hardware, and cloud based services aren't an option. Are there any recommendations on hardware that could potentially pay for itself in 1-2 months with a good ROI? All the hardware I've seen is extremely expensive, preorder, etc.

send me a pm  I will sell you a set of 3 block erupters and a good hub at prices that are not stone cold ripoffs.

I will help you setup at bitminter.com or cex.io    and explain a simple reinvestment strategy .

the bottom line for right now is most gear is crazy over priced.

1ghs at cex.io is .085 btc  and that is about 70 usd for 1 ghs.

if you can get 4 am sticks for 80 bucks.  and a good hub for 30 bucks  you are close to the price at cex.io.  most people here will tell you it is all too much money.  buy a coin.

other options are  buy  a share from here

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=335145.0

I would advise a mix.   buy a coin   use half to hold use some for cex.io use some for a little gear at home use some for a share from dz coop
