comment reported as troll comment.  Kindly take the time to make a useful point, rather than just spit out the first thing that comes into your vapid skull.

I don't know what Viceroy's deal is. I've supported POT from day 1, and held a megaton of pot at one point until I sold off to pay some bills. I continue to stick around. Myself and others have asked Viceroy what his problem is. He accuses folks of dealing illegally, but admits to setting up the largest distribution center. He's contradicting himself left and right, and all he's doing is pointing fingers at people and making threats.

Above is something he just sent me in PM, because I challenged what he said, asking why he has an issue with potcoin.

Food for thought moderators. This guy is out of control and has been put on ignore by several folks in this thread.

edit: Member is now on ignore.

More like never.. haha. If that's the situation, 3-4 months until system building and testing (of low quality/variance chips), that's horrible. If that is the situation.

Maybe someone with business credentials could email Drexel and offer money to buy out the design, especially if AT can't make payment, Drexel probably wouldn't mind doing it. Which would prove where AT's situation lies.

Maybe I should make some calls to friends haha.

Potcoin is a loser of a coin.  It has no direction and nobody seems to give a rats ass that it's being supported and endorsed by unregulated criminal cartels.

You sure seem to care.

And why does it matter to you?

Also, bitcoin is being used for _all sorts_ of things. Why aren't you blowing up BCT about it?

You sound like a washed-up narc honestly.
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POT] PotCoin Launches Today 01/21 @ 4:20 on: July 07, 2014, 06:29:55 PM
I've just looked into few of these shop accepting potcoin and wtf is that m.o.m. website, isn't it illegal to ship marijuana by mail?

Exactly what I saw.  Look at the contact info for the site.  If they were in any way legitimate they'd have a physical address.  They, like most on the page who "accept potcoin" are lawbreakers.

Fuse, take a valium, Cannabis is illegal everywhere... even Canada because Canada signed the opium treaty like everyone else.

There is a big difference, though, between people like me who express my state constitutional right and a drug dealing cartel.  Apparently potcoin doesn't mind being mixed in with criminal cartels?

>What does it matter?
Are you f-in kidding?  You want to be associated with criminals?  That's what this coin is about?Huh

I thought this coin was legitimate.  That list of vendors is abominable.

Haha, oh man. This guy. I don't need the comedy channel, I can just tune into ViceRoy's messages.

Letme setup an RSS feed.

Yes, thank you for underscoring the point..
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POT] PotCoin Launches Today 01/21 @ 4:20 on: July 07, 2014, 02:09:28 PM
Still promoting illegal cannabis seed sales and other questionable merchandise I see...

I'm surprised nobody else seems to care about the illegal, unregulated and crappy stuff being promoted by this coin's dev team.

I guess the devs ultimate aim is become silk road 2.0.  Good luck with that!

Considering pot is illegal in the majority of the country, what does it matter? They're establishing a framework. It just sounds like your panties are in a bunch for some reason. And what if they wanted to be silk road 3.0 (2 already exists), so what?

Yes it looks like a funeral indeed.

Why is it so hard to answer the questions.
If A-T don't have the chip just say no we don't have it. Undecided  simple like that

Look I know this is not want you want to hear, but there will be an update soon, that's all I can really tell you right now.

We're into the second week of July and all Fiaz is saying is "soon". They said they would be receiving their chips "soon" in their 22 May email for payments six weeks ago. Soon seems to have a different meaning to the folks at Alpha Technology. I suppose they could deliver their Vipers soon, but by their measure that could be any time between now and Christmas.

Maybe they are working on the Apostle's version of "soon". The Apostles in the Christian scriptures said that the final end was going to be soon. It's been 2,000 years.

(And yes, the FDA and all that is America is the "boomdiggity" those who disagree are simply jealous neysayers/foreigners).

That alone is all a sensible person needs to see in order to ignore everything else.

Roll Eyes

Ok, Viceroy.

I see some folks have been having issues. I'll toss my 2cents in, my confirmed reward has dropped twice in the past week. What's the deal? I'm now lower than I was a week ago. May as well not even be on the pool.

The pool's avg. hashrate is higher now than a couple weeks ago plus with the recent difficulty increase, unless you keep adding more Gh/s, your rewards will eventually dwindle down to nothing.

Yes, that I understand, but confirmed is what has been locked in place. I've lost 25% of my confirmed reward in a week. That doesn't add up.

Reality Check for some:

* America is not the world's Golden Standard for everything.

* The FDA is not the Golden Standard in the Westernized world, in fact most countries disagree sharply on several points of American medicine and medical views, especially their psychology

* The FDA has been known to approve known carcinogenic ingredients, and many EU standards are much more refined and safer than FDA's

* The FDA allows self-certification and only requires up to 90 days of statistical testing for most products which is, scientifically, very poor to determine long-term side effects (most consider 18-36 months better)

* Anyone believing the FDA is the bombdiggity is definitely smoking some good stuff

* Medicine =/= Herbal Remedy

* No 2 whiskies are the same, ergo 2 shots of whiskey =/= medicine in use (sidenote, is whiskey in the medicine manual?)

* Synthesized marijuana =/= marijuana

* 2 joints can be made within a tight yield, using scientific methods of growing and measuring the control groups. So if you really wanted to be anal, you could say 2 joints can be dosed the same.

* Medicinal dosage is typically based on weight, age and other factors, which is why it's prescribed by a doctor

* This is a Potcoin thread, if you have an issue with a vendor take it to PM
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypto Rush - Crypto to Crypto exchange on: July 05, 2014, 05:44:42 PM
1200btc is not impossible at all.
When people start getting their money back, volume will increase and it's just a matter of time until fully repaid, It can go fast or it can take years.

Lets hope the new trade engine works as good as mintpals

You don't understand basic math, do you? Sure, it's a matter of time. A lifetime. At 0.15% trade fee (mintpal example), it would take over 800,000 BTC volume to recoup 1,200. Do you think they're going to operate for free that whole time? No, they have bills to pay. So then presume 0.05% to go back to their repayment pool. Now it takes 2,400,000 BTC volume to fix that.

And how much BTC is being traded in 24 hours globally? Not that much! If CryptoRush had all of the trade volume globally, it would take over 100 days. Realistically, it'll take a lifetime.

This doesn't account for the tens of thousands of other coins which 'went missing' also.

The original day 0 terms specified July 2014 for delivery, and specified they'd have working prototypes prior to that. Since then, their design has changed almost 75%, and they haven't met any of their projected milestones. Intent plays a role, and you likely couldn't prove malicious intent, but you could prove negligence. It's how BFL has been sued. So you could bring them to court on negligence in the US, not sure if the UK has similar laws.

I can't speak to the new preorders, but GAW has successfully provided great products.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: July 04, 2014, 04:08:49 PM
Another thought which came across was, I wonder if their company is insured? If not, that could be disastrous for folks.

Pure speculation: They get their equipment together finally, and because they're in a less-than-savory neighborhood, something happens and all of the equipment is "stolen". They're left without a product. Without insurance, they can't pay anyone back. And their doors close.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: July 04, 2014, 04:04:36 PM
Searing, BFL has been successfully sued numerous times, 25 or more. There's a couple of threads on here which contain the links to the court cases. It's just not well published because BFL does a good job with avoiding the blacklight, and lots of people don't dig deep enough. The Neptunes finally shipped, but you have to admit that despite needing specific power supplies (which was a known factor prior to pre-ordering), they run well. And they run faster than spec. The Titans I'm sure will be similar.

As to the T&C, in few cultured civilizations is it legal to have a term which says the OEM is free from neglect or products outside of spec. I forget the actual legal clause, but you can't tie someone's hands like that. It's not legal in the US, and the UK's consumer laws are even tighter than the US's. Further, imports and customs requirements dictate that the product fall in line with the country's laws in which it's being imported. This is why a new OEM setting up for global shipping is under a lot of scrutiny to get things right. It's another reason why AT has come under such focus, because a lot of folks are going "yeah, that won't pass".

That's part of why the CE process is so vital, it shows that yes, this product is within spec. They didn't even talk about certification until weeks after it was brought up.

I don't believe they opened with malicious intentions, but they became overwhelmed because they were poorly prepared. Then again, who knows with how shifty they've become lately.

I wanna get back all my coins.
God is with you in this but admin of site is not with you for this  Cheesy

They got hacked like all the other places, stop blaming the admins you stupid sheeps.

If they were involved, yes god will make sure they brake a leg and many of us might wanna help with that
but give cryptorush a chance to payback the losses from the hack?

Beta of rewritten code of site is open for the community (go to #cryptorush on freenode and message KingDragon for beta key), it's moving forward, they didnt run away.

They can't pay back the losses, how would that be possible? And this has been covered before, there's no evidence of a hack, only evidence of staff moving coins manually, and then disappearing. That's why there's so much fuss to begin with.
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: July 03, 2014, 12:27:40 PM
The market cap of LTC isnt a good determination of if new equipment is a good idea or not. Folks were mining BTC with GPU's and CPU's when it wasn't worth anything. It may impact ROI, but that's just a may which is short-term, and even then the gold-strikers have to risk something.

True, but the times were different. We have new alts (e.g. anonymous ones in DRK, XMR, etc.) that are taking market share and not to mention it has become a downward moving market. That said, this area is still just getting started and I wouldn't be shocked to see LTC go back down to .0035-.007 or so and then recover later. At that point though and with a high difficulty, mining would make little sense, but buying would. I would probably get back in some down there.

I think the price is very artificial right now, and there have been some unusual dumps too. It can be taken any which way, but my gut says people are trying to keep it low right now to buy it up. Because fairly soon, the difficulty is going to go up a notch. And then when KNC delivers it's going to blow off the charts.

Fiaz will you be making an update some time today?

Fiaz on July 01, 2014, 05:49:20 PM
Not today no but we will be releasing one soon and I believe with images to show.

------------------

This is fckng crazy !!!!

At this moment... images on alpha-t website are 1 rack-unit renders... when they told us vipers will be 5 rack-units

It is so hard to show an updated render?

When I looked earlier this week, they had put a 5U render on the site. But you know what gets me, their power design requires an external PSU. So in addition to the unit of the machine, now you have to deal with rack displacement for PSU's nearby the systems.

At least it's not like they've changed 4/5ths of the design they originally sold people, after taking money from people.

Oh wait.
