Very much appreciated. Apologies for the drama. I think it is time for more action and less words.

Btw, I see no Positive trust ratings from anyone on my Trust. Does anyone else see any? What is going on?

This might explain the issue. Maybe you both are banned from trust system? :

Not as effective without jumping ponies. But the subtle lack of suprise porn is nice. I'd say this thread is finally SFW again. FWIW Tongue

Edit: I guess I asked for it. Somehow.. Angry

newbies cant post pic anymore but that wont stop them him!

If you want SFW you might wanna put meyer lansky on ignore. He/she/it is about to turn into a beautiful butterfly.

Yeah; my thoughts exactly. Still; I find his personality amusing, so I'll just let him be for the time being...  Grin

2. Hence, the directives cited below (and their respective sentiments).

Well said; yet we all know how this ended up... Sad There is more to look forward and reconsider when it comes to directives of "fighting the system". I've posted this many times, there's a reason "the system" is there. IMHO, we (as the people) should not act alone (and jeopardize ourselves with being judged as terrorists), but as a collective in order to build a new concept for a better society.

To put it on a perspective; I don't believe we deserve a better world if we don't get better ideas (and put them to test/work). Money is the first one to change. Don't expect ANYTHING to get better with the current system. It's just like renovating and polishing an old house that has rotten foundation. It will never be safe to live in it.

@ion.cash: If I may, here's a nice advice for you. If you don't like someone's behavior, you can build up a story as you see fit in order not to get frustrated (ie: your girlfriend dumps you - you explain it as "you had incompatible personalities"; NOT as "she found someone better"). In any case, since our time here is limited, don't waste your time into meaningful debates and oppressive thoughts.

I usually try to let my actions speak for me. From what I can tell, you're a "DO-er" not just a "Talker". Get your project going and I'm sure whoever has issues with your personality, brains potential, or scientific capabilities, they will get their answer in time...

PS:
Just to make things a bit funnier, here's a nice logo for you. It's my wife's favorite chocolate. Smiley

Anyone who has spent time on this thread knows that ion.cash (tptb_need_war) is an honest and forthright, so maybe we support him with some positive trust.  Wink

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=553295

Left some positive feedback for him. OTOH; Smoothie as "Doubting Thomas"? Do they have a history together? Well; somebody had to play that role I guess... Roll Eyes

Martin Armstrong will be visiting Athens, Greece (among other cities in the EU) on September 29. He will be at the French Institute of Athens and will be answering questions of the public, in an interview that will be broadcasted in 13 countries.

Let's go and bully him for ignoring TPTB!
 Shocked Roll Eyes Grin

LOL. Yeah! Lets!  Grin Cheesy

I inquired a two ticket set and asked if I could meet him (I'm willing to take the 2.5hr drive from here) in order to ask him some questions. I'm not sure if he will answer though. Smiley

Seems he doesn't care much about not being allowed to add his pics. He's still at it:

450  Economy / Speculation / Re: Logarithmic (non-linear) regression - Bitcoin estimated value on: September 09, 2015, 07:39:29 PM
^^
Those predictions have only got a meaning when you actually have witnessed the periodic phenomenon. Log fit curves tend to produce enormous error factors when you attempt to go for a long term prediction. I too believe though we're en route for greater and bolder prices. Smiley
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ion discussion on: September 09, 2015, 04:19:28 PM
Of course there are confirmations but the confirmations are instant and decentralized. The key is to attain global 0-confirmation consensus on local instant confirmations.

Hashing your own transactions gives you local instant confirmation. But once you submit these into a chain of work, the selection rule means you can still get orphans.

You are assuming the design is essentially the same as Bitcoin etc. It should be obvious from the numbered items in the OP (and later comments from ion.cash) that it is not. I suggest waiting for further details rather than pointless debates on the basis of no detailed information about how it claims to achieve those.

More of these to be expected sooner than later. It's in the physis of human beings to question everything a-priori (ie: without first studying it). I'd propose a short synopsis of the project's basic aspects so that there are more participants involved and -hopefully- gain more attention from possible programmers. Of course there's a side-possibility:

Currently unreleased white papers will not be published until this coin is nearer to release to insure these designs are released first in our coin. Thus for the time being I may not be providing more details on how the above features are accomplished.

Just my 20c

Being back home I followed your recent activity of the last 5 days. I say that no matter what name this coin has, it has some pretty heavy momentum to make it already a winner. I voted "yes" for Ion (it's a Physics term anyways, so how couldn't I dig it? Wink).

My best wishes and good luck!

TPTB_need_war:

I just pm'd you (I'm so beat up from the lab work that I accidentally posted that thing here). *sigh*

Things have taken a nice turn during my absence the last 4 days.

Due to abuse, newbie-posted embedded images are now disabled on these pages:
- Topic display
- Recent posts / patrol
- Previews
They're not currently hidden in PMs or on some other pages (like a user's "show posts" page), though I might change that later if it seems necessary.

Disabled images get transformed into links automatically. When the poster becomes a Jr member, the images that he tried to post previously will automatically be re-enabled (though there might be a few minutes of delay).

This extends to all past posts as well as future ones.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1172918.new#new

I really hope this will cut down the rhythm of sockpuppets and their posts; and I wouldn't mind if this thread is rendered useless...
455  Other / Meta / Re: Images in posts disabled for newbies on: September 07, 2015, 12:46:05 PM
Thank you very much Theymos! It was getting out of hand for the last 3 months. Speculation threads were never better to read!
456  Economy / Economics / Re: Martin Armstrong Discussion on: September 05, 2015, 11:59:55 AM
Depends on how actively bonded the two currencies will be during the storm. There's a rumor about artificially tampering with the EUR/USD in order to collectively create a unique inter atlantic market that will be able to absorb the turbulence the upcoming economic disaster is bringing.

PS:
Expect low activity from me for the next week or so, for I'm pretty busy at the lab. I'm closely monitoring the thread though via mobile.
457  Other / Meta / Re: Do not post off-topic replies on: September 03, 2015, 09:17:13 PM
Trolls are becoming a huge problem throughout the forum for unknown reasons to me so far; maybe we're just sitting ducks. I'd propose the newbie jail v.2.0 where 3 older members could bring someone out by voting. If the new member has 0 posts, he won't be allowed into the main forum. If he's a troll we will know it sooner than he posts japanese naked men and homo pictures into a 14000 long page thread.

Can't go anywhere, but I'd just love to see it rolling... Smiley

A federal judge who called NSA’s surveillance practices “almost Orwellian,” says that he found a way to revive a constitutional challenge to the controversial program after a federal court lifted his 2013 injunction blocking the program.
In 2013 Richard J. Leon ruled that the NSA’s bulk snooping was likely unconstitutional. At the time he put his ruling on hold pending review by an appeals court.

Nietzsche's point that the highest ideal of Christianity is the destruction of most of mankind  - -

- - only shows how mistaken he is regarding Christianity.

The highest ideal of Christianity is that God became man to make man God.

+1

@generalizethis: First, let me repeat that we are very much in the same boat with you regarding our beliefs. I find it particularly funny though, that your nickname represents what you're prompting here as a rule. Generalizing everything might work in many cases, but fails to others. Let me explain:

Let's suppose we have the perfect society, where everybody is decent, everybody respects the others, nobody's stealing, nobody fucks the other man's wife, nobody's killing anybody, etc. Does a society like this needs religion? I once met an orthodox scholar that told me this: "Religion represents a formality for the people to get along in societies". That's the essence of it all. Here it is then: No need for religions in a perfect world.

The fact that we have religions that treat women like goats, eulogize the decapitation of human beings in front of cameras and forcing whole countries to move to other continents is no religion in my way of thinking. It's an enforced act of fascism in its worse form. It has nothing to do with God, it has nothing to do with society, and most probably it's being funded to achieve certain goals behind a black hooded face and a machete.

This world is far from perfect. It's being governed by totalitarianism practices that are enforced to the masses either directly or indirectly. Certain "religions" are just practicing this. This is just unethical and bizarre; and must be banned ASAP. Together with the men that practicing it.
