Scraping seems to be ok now, but Tor Browser is getting 403s on all Bitcointalk images, I'm guessing this is again CF doing something.

Congratulations Hueristic and South Park.

If I'm looking at this right, Corpse is out, and Cows are in. Barbarians are obviously in. And I think I'm playing Cows again next week Grin

LOL Patriots managed to fail more horribly than Raiders. Could have had another chance in OT but no, let's throw some laterals. Brilliant.

HAHAHa stupid Damian Harris! Cheesy

Yeah I was holding on to Harris because he was good for my team last year, but this year he's good only for filling an empty IR slot.

The whole thing is a joke, at this point the only reason she's doing it is to get tapped as Trumps running mate.

I think she definitely deserves a limited edition badly photoshopped running mate NFT.

Speaking of which, if Trump doesn't get nominated / drops out / croaks / etc, what does that mean for the Kraken? It looks like the poor creature waited way too long to rise and Trump has gone mad (well, a bit more mad than usual) while waiting.

I'm a genius, decided to listen to the pundits instead of myself and last second pulled Zay Jones for Higgins and Monty for Bam Knight.

Looks like you still might win your match, albeit with a less crushing score than it could have been.

And whats up with this, make up your mind LOL

And it doesn't hurt that the majority of his base are less than educated morons and buy into any of his nonsense and he (Trump) knows it.
What better way to make $ off your ignorant minions than copy pasta scam jpeg NFTs of a super hero with laser eyes?.... smh
Oh yeah ok, now I get it....he's gotta start thinking about covering astronomical legal fees.
(And finding competent lawyers who are willing to take him on as a client for that matter... no small task)

I have a feeling that a lot of those NFTs were bought up by crypto bros who are now hyping this shit into various "top" lists on OpenSea et al. It'd be great if Trump keeps flooding the market with more of these, kinda reminds me of the good old days of GAW PNGs.

I also doubt your average trumpling would have been able to figure out NFTs and Polygon etc within the ~2 days that it took for the "cards" to sell out.

BTW most of the cards seem to be extremely low effort hacks, same photos over and over on different backgrounds, unlike the few more heavily photoshopped ones they have on their website.

Can't find a complete list of them, but this is my favorite so far:

The funny thing is how surreal this all feels: from president of the United States of America to NFT seller. I can see some die-hard MAGA supporters buying these Nfts.

It not that weird if you remember who he was before the POTUS thing. A flailing real estate developer with a number of failed or outright scammy branding experiments, from Trump steaks to Trump university. So the NFT shit is right on brand. Assuming they sold 45k of those, and he rakes 50% in licensing fees, he got $2 million for a couple of tweets. Plus future royalties. This might end up as one of his more successful scams.
449  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Where would Twitter go after its takeover by Elon Musk ? on: December 16, 2022, 11:29:30 PM
Didn't he say that this was about that guy following his private plane on twitter, which is public data.

Even if it was, he streisanded this shit bigly. Millions of people who never knew or cared about his jet - now might. Not that a real stalker would have needed those @elonjet tweets anyway.

It was unclear what the suspensions had in common

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and make a wild guess that those journalists may have said some less than pleasant things about Elon, Tesla, or something else that really really hurt Elon's feelings, like his jet.

This is beautiful, can't wait for the trumplings to spin it as free speech absolutism.
451  Other / Meta / Re: We can not discuss if 'ChipMixer is a honeypot or not' outside their own thread? on: December 16, 2022, 02:46:15 AM
I have to agree with him on one thing, it would be much better to have protocol based privacy for Bitcoin.

Absolutely. And there are kinda-sorta-usable workarounds like CoinJoin. The point is that I don't get him cheering for centralized mixers to be outlawed... if that happens we're in deep shit because the gubbermint won't just leave us a nice shiny loophole in the protocol.

We can compare this with Monero, but Bitcoin is much bigger and it would be much harder if not impossible to make it illegal at this point.

Just look at this: https://www.warren.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/DAAML%20Act%20of%202022.pdf

Among all sorts of crazy shit, it defines mixers and "privacy coins" (i.e. anything that has protocol-level obfuscation) in the same category, and would basically outlaw it. If a law like that gets passed I don't see how Bitcoin gets an exception. At the very least any part of the Bitcoin ecosystem that provides privacy tools (be it CoinJoin, LN, Taproot, etc) would fall under that. But hey, at least Og would get his petty grudges settled so I'm sure he's rooting for Warren to push this through.
452  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Post Your Favorite Trump Memes Here on: December 16, 2022, 12:26:40 AM
damn. trump out memed us. beat us at own own game.

how embarrassing.

Wait, the trading card thing is real? Not some alternate elonverse?

Edit: ok, I used this new contraption called Google and was told that the answer is yes and no. They call them "cards" but they're actually NFTs, but not really "NF" because some will have multiple copies. Excellent. I mean who wouldn't a hash of a non-ironic cringe meme for $99. And if you spend $4500 you get to have a dinner with the Donald. I hope he can keep up making copy-pasting these "cards" because all the trumplings in this forum alone will buy a few million of these fungible-non-cards just to make liberals cry.

Oh, guess who is back.

Speaking of disappearances, did we ever get Veleor's take on the "negative offensive" around Kherson or the 100 HIMARSes destroyed by Konashenkov? I don't recall. Veleor usually brings the full digest of Russian propaganda, much better than be.open's lazy channel 1 parrot act.
454  Other / Meta / Re: We can not discuss if 'ChipMixer is a honeypot or not' outside their own thread? on: December 15, 2022, 11:35:40 PM
I'll continue not promoting money laundering and advocating for protocol level fungibility

Protocol-level fungibility can be used to launder money so by your own logic you're promoting money laundering.

not fungibility that depends on a 3rd party breaking the law and users being participants in that choice to break the law by using said third party.

Fungibility on its own is not against the law, at least not where I am, and if it ever is outlawed then it would likely make protocol-level fungibility (or usage thereof) unlawful as well. For example some exchanges delisted Monero etc for "compliance reasons", which is a good indication of how this would play out.

Why are you guys saying its a trap pump? If anything this seems like insiders buying in after hearing some good news which is yet to be revealed.

The news has already been revealed. Inflation slowing down. Stock market is up. Bitcoin is up. Sadly not decoupled from that shit yet. There is no magic here.
456  Economy / Reputation / Re: Neutral tag about my post quality on: December 14, 2022, 01:04:05 AM
I know JG has been criticized for frivolous trust ratings, and deservedly so in some cases, but this ain't it. It's a neutral. Anybody can post a neutral for any reason, and using neutrals to comment on post quality is fine IMO.

Having said that, a sig campaign manager can interpret neutrals (or negatives/positives as well) any way they see fit, and a user can choose to join or not to join a sig campaign if they like/dislike that, so it's a non-issue either way. But it would be better to have such rules (e.g. "no neutral ratings from DT members") posted publicly instead of being applied ad hoc. Informed decisions FTW.

^^^ Actually, I'm rather glad you jokers couldn't figure this out. But I'll tell you anyway. This law suit shows that done properly, anybody - no matter how goofy they might look, or no matter their "status" in life - can push a case all the way to the Supreme Court.

Let's see how you will spin it what lame excuse you'll copy-paste after the hillbilly lawsuit gets tossed by SCOTUS. Being able to do something doesn't mean you should.
458  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The KRAKEN rises, meaning the 2020 election fraud is being corrected. on: December 13, 2022, 09:07:39 PM
The evidence so far is that they are extremely intrigued by the case, and the opening up of authority that it will give SCOTUS.

What is this evidence?

Seems like a ridiculous lawsuit brought by a clown that has a history of having nonsense cases thrown out.  Wasn't even worth the time for the government to respond.

Seeing how BADecker is heavily shilling this "lawsuit" across multiple threads makes me wonder it he's one of the Brunson brothers.

459  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Watch out for this NEW TransferFrom Zero Transfer Scam! on: December 13, 2022, 08:17:01 PM
this is exactly what I mean, I gave you few real live examples when this hard or even not possible to confirm address with the source and you keep persisting this is all user fault, that we are lazy, etc

this is not always possible to get the other party to confirm address, especially if that matter was discussed at start of cooperation and addresses where set in stone, then one checks them in the wallet if there is no other place he save it, not from laziness only because we had to do it at this particular time

I call it laziness because "I don't have 30 seconds to double-and-triple-check a $100k tx" sounds like laziness. Not saving the request for payment to a certain address (essentially part of your contract with the other party) is also asking for trouble for other reasons, e.g. if you get accused of scamming and you have no record of being asked to send money to that address. This is all either a made up story, or you are really so negligent in your dealings, not sure which is worse.

please use final (edited) version of my posts when you quote me, if possible

Not possible if you edit while I'm typing and don't even add a note that you edited something.
460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: December 13, 2022, 07:27:55 PM
Yay, I got a star... or an asterisk or whatever Smiley

Meaning I'm totally definitely in the playoffs.

Jerkers didn't get a star but I'm quite sure there is no plausible way to knock them off - they'd have to lose the last game (possible), three other teams would have to win their games (possible, since none of them are playing each other), and Corpse would have to win against Jerkers AND outscore them by ~170 points (this part seems impossible).

That leaves two playoff spots and three teams fighting for those spots, all with 8-6 win-loss record: Barbarians, Cows, Corpse. I think the scenarios are quite obvious here, and we will definitely need tiebreakers no matter how it turns out.

So again, Corpse being quite low on total points, need a win and some luck, or a lot of luck if they don't win but it's quite difficult to imagine a scenario where they don't win while scoring 90 points more than Cows, so yeah - they need a win and hope for at least one of the other two teams to lose.

  1. All 3 teams lose - three-way tie, the one with lowest total points doesn't get into playoffs.
  2. Two teams lose - two-way tie, the one with lower total points doesn't get into playoffs.
  3. One team loses - that team doesn't get into playoffs, and a tiebreaker needed for positions 3-4.
  4. All 3 teams win - same as #1.

Additional tiebreakers might be needed if Jerkers lose but as mentioned above they have a ton of points so will probably hold on to 2nd place. If Coiners lose, Jerkers would need to win and gain ~60 points to take the #1 spot.
