I brought up the same question about my reported best shares being much higher than the pool status page bestshare, yet was told to 'Not worry about it'... So who knows.  Best share stats are reset upon a restart of the server ... your miner can report 1 Trillions Best Share value, and after the reboot you'll only see the best share since the restart. Otherwise, I never saw my best share not matching the one from the stats. |

As a noob, I was initially oh so concerned about the consistent blocks\payouts and 22-23 hour blocks scared me. I wish i would have found kano earlier, long term profitability means so much more to me than a bunch of tiny payouts. Tis the cost of education.
I'm still new to all this myself, but am very happy with the decision to mine at Kano. Why? * transparency of operations * low pool fees * distribution of transaction fees to miners * active and direct participation and dialogue with Kano and CK on pool operations and related issues in this forum * helpful pool participants who participate in this forum * active pool management by Kano that results in good luck over time * my desire to foster network diversity and health (which seems also to be aligned with pool philosophy) I also was initially put off by the lack of a slick interface and also by concerns about time between blocks, but no longer. Thanks very much for the great service and community here - looking forward to a long and profitable relationship. Welcome aboard ! |

Through some kind of stupid confusion I missed out on an email from the hosting provider saying they were moving the hardware with some pretty serious downtime. Abusing people at the provider right now but it will still be a little while before it's up again. Sorry about the inconvenience. de is still online but there's no point changing to that for now since master will be up again soon.

the F1 version with one fan was a bad idea. Unless, you throw them nice fresh air, they overheat.
They need 2 fans to be safe.
It really works flawless though. I have one and had 0 issues with it, if something goes wrong it should shutdown at 80 c. I do have a second fan but never did attach it to it as it is working good. It is summer and hot for many and I don't see S7-F1's burning up.... so seems to work fine. But I do agree it takes away some safety with redundancy of having two fan's even though we have not been seeing them burn up. I also have some decent sized fan's blowing air through my mining area to. So guess that is part of why I'm not to worried. Well it's the summer for sure here in NA ... the two fans versions just don't care about it and keep mining at default freq. The F1 version suffers tho. I downclocked them until I received my second fans. |
