But on X.com it is said that the beginning of the airdrop in 2024 may be in conjunction with Shuffle's 1st anniversary, who knows they give surprises to their customers.
-cut-

Well i guess there was no snapshot yet in 1st Feb, as they most likely would have said it.
I would have thought that 12 month would be accurate to day and that this tweet from last year would have been very definition of the "inception" of shuffle.com

It makes me think that they didn't get everything ready in time. Because as one who has done marketing in the past, i would imagine, that it would been high priority to get that out right on birthday. Obviously it's cool if they want think tokenomics trough, as it would be useless with it if burn rate, use cases and inflation being imbalanced.

That seems optimistic and it would be great if we can reach it, but we will need a katalysator of good news before we can reach that number I think. Last month, I thought TheQuin was still in holiday at the beginning of the month so it the bets will be opened soon I suppose.

There doesn't seem to be any significant news soon, which could have a strong impact on the BTC price. However, I think BTC doesn't need any news to reach $50k, as the upcoming halving will gradually push the BTC price up anyway.
As for adding new bets, I think TheQuin is probably too busy to do that. By the way, he was online a week ago, and I wouldn't be surprised if new bets don't appear on the site in the next few days.

Right, I forgot about the upcoming halving. That should give a boost to the price but maybe we will get a drop directly after the event? Similar to what happened with the approval of the bitcoin ETF. The days before, the price kept rising, even goes higher when approved and than pretty quickly after that, the price dropped pretty substantially.
This haven't been an issue in the past. There have been small sell the news events right after, but as you see from the charts, they are merely blimps next to pump what came after. So if we believe that history is bound to rhyme with itself (as traders do), so unless you are trying to long with high leverage, i wouldn't worry about that. And literally everything is pointing to new ATH later on. Only thing left to speculate is how big is this going to be. After all, bitcoin can't just keep on growing to new ath after another forever. Even though value in the world has been growing overall, it's delusional to think it wouldn't stop.

That said, i can't say that stacking sats in freebitcoin, wouldn't have been very valuable for people. And it could be for a long time before the ultimate ath is here.
443  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: February 02, 2024, 10:30:29 PM
Gambling though is a risky game that the chances of winning and losing is in equilibrium but however in other for one to have a possibility of winning, it requires a steady income.

Having a steady and regular income is very important as a gambler because it would enable you to scrap out money you should use for gambling, feeding, taking care of yourself and family and other miscellaneous.

A gambler who has a steady and regular income can have the possibility of winning because his gambling habit can not affect his personal obligations as a man even if he's an addict because being addicted to gambling doesn't actually implies that one will eventually stake all his money on bets but rather someone who plays gambling frequently. By having a steady income, he can take care of other life responsibilities without being affected by his gambling activities and moreover, someone who have a stable income can be aiming to win higher amount in his bets and might be lucky of winning one day and use the money to establish an investment.

Your thoughts on this
For sure, but this is a weird thread. As it isn't really a gambler issue. This is a life-issue. Anyone, not only gambler shoud have steady income. Otherwise how can they plan ahead? How could they provide food and clothes or a rood over their head for their children. Not to mention if you need to gamble. If you don't have steady income, hardcore gambling should be furthest thing from your mind. Focus on getting a job, or any sort of secure income. Plan for the future and get an education.

Only reason i can think of, for someone thinking they wouldn't need steady income is that they still live with their parents and get their food served and clothes bought. So they could play all their pocket allowance money.
444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If a addict lives within, which method would you choose to help them on: February 02, 2024, 10:18:57 PM
Sometimes it is not easy to get out of an addiction problem as it is Believed , or as they say, yes, in part the Person who suffers from the Addiction has to put in his full Effort and will so that his things can see that addiction is a problem that It has to Affect that person and those around them, that one's own will to be cured is essential for that morale to be very high, but in part what must be done is that the people Around them can have a lot to do with it. What they can do for them , forExample a parent who goes to a psychologist can help a person a lot in that sense, not only can sometimes you get out of it, the people who are all the time looking for a way to Overcome this have to have help, sometimes they need someone's push to get out of what they are in , we as People who are intelligent, why should we see the niche of the rpobelma from every point of View , we Know that the will is Something that is must have , but its own to Review Everything that the treatment can generate.

People who are very Addicted lose their self-esteem , lose their security and Sometimes lose Sense of responsibility by indulging in addiction, who knows who is to blame? Is it the casinos fault? No, it's not the fault of the case or the game, that's primarily the addiction because the person allows it to happen, because they don't know how to stop themselves and put the most important things before their life, nor does a person who needs it have to do so much. your money in a casino, because it is something that is not viable, so in this order of ideas things should not be seen in that sense I was able to say that when we are looking for more ways to overcome things, an addicted Person sometimes needs good advice from a friend, good treatment, for the person to Recover psychologically from what they are suffering from, to get back to it,  his confidence and his way of solving problems.
It's never easy to get out, and we could even ask a question if there's a choice involved. When people are sick and have fever, we rarely blame them for being sick. Addiction is a sickness as well why would we treat them any different? But finding the blame is what humans tend to do, as they see this an issue with someone doing something wrong from their own free will. You are spot on that treatment is necessary, because these people need help. They obviously can't just snap out of it or they would have already done it. Reasoning addict can be very frustrating because they are not following same rules, and often have delusions of grandeur about their own capabilities and future.
445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you invest on this kind of offer? on: February 02, 2024, 10:01:12 PM
I recently read this topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5483853.0 about bankroll and I become curious to know what’s forum member opinion about my wild idea on bankroll investment.

First of all, I really hate loaning for gambling because of the interest and repayment date of the loan so I think about a better way on how to borrow money without paying interest just to fulfill gambling.

Let’s assume that you can’t gamble because you don’t want to move your crypto outside your air gap wallet or your coins is currently on time lock stake.

I’m thinking about offering a bankroll investment. I will let interested user to invest on my bankroll and share profit. The advantage on this offer is I will refund the investment in case my bankroll loss since I will consider this a loan money without any interest. It’s either share profit or refund but the only catch is all investors need to wait for the certain date which I will set before the investment start.

PS: This is not real bankroll offer but just a hypothetical idea just to know if the community will like this kind of offer. This is only possible for user that has good reputation since trust is the main issue here. This method might help someone who regularly loan for gambling to stop paying loan interest in exchange of profit sharing.
What you are asking as a hypothetical idea is a literal definition of loan. You even said that you consider it a loan without any interest. And reason you are lending it for doesn't speak highly of your judgement on finances.
Because it sounds like you want people to fund your gambling habit. Saying you would share winnings requires a lot of trust. Trust for a someone who is lending money for gambling that is. And these people could just gamble their money themselves and keep the winnings. It's way safer for them then trusting someone without any collateral

If you have money on time lock stake, practise patience. They are in time lock probably, because you thought it was a good reason. Old saying that you can't have your cake and eat it too fits here.
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do low fees matter most in choosing crypto platforms, or other factors? on: February 02, 2024, 09:45:09 PM
When choosing a cryptocurrency platform, do you prioritize seeking out those with lower transaction fees, or do other factors such as security, user interface, or available features take precedence in your decision-making? Share your perspective below and let's discuss the key considerations within our community!
I don't understand why only one thing would matter to anyone. Why would anyone care only about the fees? If gui is garbage, there's no security and lack of features. Then who cares what the fees are?

But it's not like fees doesn't matter, or that low fees are poor vs rich issue. Even if rich people wouldn't care about fees and platforms want to attract rich people, it's the common people casinos want to keep happy. As those are advertising the platform and giving ref links. I don't think that rich people care about ref links too much, or getting more people in.

And no matter if you are rich or poor, everyone want feature rich, secure, responsive and trusted site.
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use profits from the crypto market? on: February 02, 2024, 09:27:02 PM
Have you ever been profitable and taken profits in the crypto market?
-cut-
Of course, there's no one on this forum who has never experienced profit and taken profit.
-cut-
Vincom, you can find success stories all over the service formerly known as twitter. And sure, i have taken some out, but if i would be cashing out rich-level profits, i would definitely not say it. And i would suggest that no one else would either, if you don't want to get targeted. And obviously there are several people who are lying about their crypto riches while they are playing with pennies.

MAAManda, There has been so many scams that i am positive we can find several people who have only lost money.

How did you use that profit? Do you use that profit or reinvest it?
Do you think using profits is also important for your investment journey?
I have used them for living. Nothing huge. Well, now that i think of it twice, it actually depends what you are comparing it to.
But why are you investing in the first place if you are never going to usee those profits? That doesn't make any sense. You realize that never sell and hodl are just memes?
448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC likely to approve spot Ethereum ETFs on May 23 on: February 01, 2024, 10:18:16 PM
-cut-
"We expect pending applications for ETH U.S. spot ETFs to be approved on May 23, the final deadline for the first of the ETFs under consideration — the equivalent date to Jan. 10 for BTC ETFs," Geoffrey Kendrick, head of Standard Chartered Bank's forex and digital assets research, wrote in a report on Tuesday. "If ETH prices perform similarly to how BTC prices performed in the lead-up to BTC ETF approval, ETH could trade as high as $4,000 by then."[/i]

This could happen, but eth finances are quite different to bitcoin, so i can't imagine they would immediately accept it. Bitcoin ETF wasn't walk in the park either. And unlike bitcoin, ethereum had ico, which can cause issues with sec.

Not a bad target when it's the final deadline. And not a bad price prediction too when it has already been way above that. The ATH of ETH was almost $5,000. $4,000 will come back of course. When, I don't know, but an approval of an Ethereum spot ETF will most likely provide a big boost to it. And since the players are the same powerful financial institutions, there is a reason to believe that the applications will also be approved.

It's not so bad to keep some ETH in case it flies.
But why it would give boost to eth if it did opposite to bitcoin? Volume doesn't equal price growth. It just means more money for people who get the fees for trading. And those players (powerful financial institutions), you are talking about. Why do you think they buy and hold it, and not short it? I am certain it CAN cause explosive moves on chart, but it can also cause maturity, and less volatility, similar to traditional assets.
449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it okay for Bitcoin Core development to be funded by Banks? on: February 01, 2024, 09:53:23 PM
I just read in two publications that VanEck and BitWise will be funding Core development.

https://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-etf-by-vaneck-benefit-btc-core-developers/
https://www.forbes.com/sites/digital-assets/2024/01/30/the-bitcoin-spot-etf-a-catalyst-for-change-in-bitcoin-first-companies/?sh=13226e9f2827

There is a clear conflict of interest here.  Should this be allowed? Should anyone have this kind of influence over the Core code?

As far as I know Satoshi developed the initial code and accepted no money in return for this very reason.
Why does it even matter? Miners choose what changes they will back up by mining it, and community chooses if they support any fork. So what kind of changes are you afraid of exactly and why and how could anyone enforce them to us?

If radical changes are coming, we see them coming from mile away and can just not accept them. Also funders are not stupid. They don't expect bitcoin to be somehow more centralized or controlled by their funding.
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The outcome of merging traditional finance and decentralised finance. on: February 01, 2024, 09:11:44 PM
Lot to unpack in here so starting from the first:

-cut-
1. Financial Inclusion: It can provide access to financial services for the unbanked and underbanked.
Sure, but this doesn't mean that people can use crypto to escape regulations or economic sanctions. It used to be the case but crypto tracking has become way more sophisticated now

What potential outcomes and difficulties could arise from merging traditional and decentralized finance  using public blockchain technology as the underlying infrastructure?

Here are some of the possible implications or outcome when traditional finance and decentralised finance are merged together.

2. Efficiency and Transparency: Blockchain enables faster transactions and reduces fraud through transparent records.
3. Regulatory Challenges: Balancing decentralized finance with existing regulations requires collaboration between stakeholders and regulators.
4. Scalability and Performance: Addressing limitations in public blockchains is necessary to handle increased transaction volume.
5. Security and Privacy: Robust security measures are needed to protect funds and data while finding a balance between transparency and privacy.
Transparency doesn't necessarily mean public blockchains like we see today. It's all about auditability. And stakeholders aren't having a vote here. It's about regulations. You can't have a stake in some company for example without complying with regulations. That's not collaboration, that's just following rules. Also there's no system ready for meaningful decentralized systems that would allow you to use tokens as company shares.

6. Interoperability and Standardization: Common standards are required for seamless integration across different platforms and systems.
7. Education and Adoption: Educating users, institutions, and regulators is crucial for successful implementation.

The above mentioned are some of the possible outcomes I could think of but for this to be achieved, I believe that institutional grade products must be created and by institutional- grade, I mean products that are built with security and transparency as it's major principle and not limited to being regulatory compliant.  Are there any projects currently championing this cause?
Standardisation isn't really a problem. It's pretty much inevitable. Of course there will be alternative methods as not everyone ever use same standards with everything.
But what comes to scalability, i find it funny that people are speculating with tokenomics like coins would be worth more so much that it makes the whole network too expensive to use. I find it similar to people valuing gasoline to so expensive that no one could afford to drive with cars.

Btw, Dusk is pretty much trying to everything you were talking about. But i am not sure how many obstacles they still have to overcome.
451  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is skill key to success! on: February 01, 2024, 12:30:12 PM
Skills and success complement each other. Although the opposite situation can be observed in the case of somewhere. Skill is the undoubtedly crucial component to success. It enables individual to perform tasks effectively. However success often required a combination of various factors like determination, perseverance, opportunity, and somewhere luck. Skill lays the foundation. it's not always the sole determinant of success.

Most of the person getting unskilled but they are staying better position in a society or organization. By using muscle power, money and corruption, many people have settled in the important position of the country.

I think it is also a skill what do you call it ? It's a combination of various attributes that often leads to success. Maybe its depend on their faith. But you have to keep trying for success.
Everyone has their own definition for success. It might be financial freedom, being richer than the next guy, for some it's power over other people, or being accepted, getting a job, being able to keep up daily routines, or writing a book, being famous, having a loving family. having a trophy wife, or for some it might be maintaining your spiritual values, being proud of what you do.

But let's say that in this case success means performing good at your work:

It's a combination of various skills. You can be best on something very specific, but if you lack something else, like unability to work in a group, or if you have a narcissistic personality disorder, it can make a workplace too toxic for you to fit in.

You can have insanely high IQ, but at the same time you aren't really functional, because you have serious byproducts from disorders, like severe version of ADHD and autism. In where high IQ just helps you keep you not drowning and maintaining a lifestyle where you are able to.

It might even not be because of you. You are skillful and it's your toxic workplace that's the problem. Others might put you down, steal credit from your work etc.

But you definitely need skills to be able to go anywhere as, anything you do in life requires skills.

Asking out of interest, has some else company gave you bigger wins before? (as you didn't get anything big from Pragmatic before). Pragmatic games has been go to slots me for a long time and they have served me well with big wins in the past, but now i have been experiencing a long dry patch with them. So i am looking for other slots to explore. But so far any of the ones i've tried haven't gave me anything either. I know it's just bad luck, but not winning anything worth while isn't giving me reasons to play other slots. If every time i am only getting a fraction of my bets back, it's maybe time to hit the sports betting again.
453  Other / Politics & Society / Re: DeSantis Vows to Abolish IRS, Advocates Flat Tax in Presidential Bid Amidst Stif on: January 31, 2024, 05:36:37 PM
https://news.bitcoin.com/desantis-vows-to-abolish-irs-advocates-flat-tax-in-presidential-bid-amidst-stiff-gop-competition/

On Jan. 4, 2024, Florida Governor and presidential candidate Ron DeSantis articulated his desire to abolish the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS). He advocated for the adoption of a uniform rate flat tax for all U.S. residents. DeSantis declared to CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on Thursday, “I would eliminate the IRS, have a single rate, and just do a flat tax.”

If he can get rid of the IRS does that mean people wouldn't need to pay taxes on Crypto? Who would hold them accountable? Shocked But these politicians always say BS like this but they never actually do it once they get into office. Hope this guy is different. I would vote for him if he's serious!

I mean doing just one of those two things would be an accomplishment but both? that's like too good to be true...
Maybe he thinks his voters are so stupid that they think he can pull that off. And yeah, that would mean, people could hide their money from government more efficiently. Some people might think that's a good idea, until that tax money is needed for public infrastructure and there's not enough of it. It also would ensure more corrupted politics.

I am thinking he wants to throw in impossible promises now just to get people talking about him, as he knows he stands no change, so he is getting every attention he can get.
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will still be my choice this year. on: January 31, 2024, 05:29:38 PM
Ethereum is a good choice to keep on holding and accumulating when possible. I don't think a lot of investors would be making good profit unless they have be holding it from 2011 or they have invested in it before 2021. If not then there are other coins like Ethereum that are showing positive sign in the market. Like you said BNB which is backed by the biggest exchange in the world. Recently Solana started doing good and it is still a cheap if compared to Ethereum and BNB in price and the team is doing great with its development and marketing. I would be focusing on these three crypto before the bull run as they have the potential to explode.
elevates: FFT was backed by big exchange as well, so that's not really only a positive sign. When you are holding BNB you are putting your faith in very centralized exchange, and the fact they should stay alive and not get jailed. While i trust binance, i don't think it isn't a good idea to compare it to something that's based on decentralization.

Zanab247: you are speaking in a future tense, that eth will be a king among the altcoins. What do you think the king is now, if not the altcoin with most developers, highest marketcap, most users and most activity?
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Cryptocurrencies with Good utility smart investment for the long haul? on: January 31, 2024, 05:05:44 PM
It is a no brainer. But needs to be sure the token has good demand from its ecosystem. I know some project with good utility but the token is only there to raise money, not much used in their ecosystem. In the end i dont know where they are now

I can't agree any less. I had an argument with a friend admitting that a good utility is not enough to make a token price to fly. And you just confirmed my stands. It's demand that drives the market and it's real users finding the project useable that makes the deference.
There used to be this idea among no-coiners that they support blockchain but not the incentives people are trading and getting. Some people still think this way. Depending on the use case and utility, having incentives that are worth it are often inseparable part of the tokenomics. So what you want is a logical and sustainable game theory on tokenomics that ensures there's a need for token and reason for token existing in the first place.

Many of these tokens might have an use case and need for them, but as those tokens are already overvalued, and any need for them won't be affecting the price, as using those tokens should be dirt cheap to get adopted or even make sense in the first place.

Like ARB for example. It worked fine without the token so how come token has so high marketcap? Using them for voting might keep the price up to ensure that major share won't end up for one entity, and if it would the whole point of the token would be meaningless and it would make arbitrum centralized and sole future of the development would be in mercy of that one major share holder. And i don't understand why it would rise in value from this point. Other than for delivering random airdrops and speculation, but those are really artificial reason, and have nothing to do with value it brings to users now.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bullish 2024 ! on: January 31, 2024, 04:40:42 PM
Currently many new projects with large funding raised are listed and it can be said that they are big projects because after listing some of them entered the top 50 of CMC. examples include APTOS ARBITRUM and SUI.
I mean, does the emergence of many new projects like this indicate that bullish is getting closer? What do you think ?
Sure, it's what commonly happens when altcoin total marketcap is bullish already, but what are you waiting for exactly? As we have been in altcoinseason for a while. Joining in after ATH is for average folk, newbs and former no-coiners that fomo in as they hear it from maistream news and panic enter. This retrace isn't going far. I wouldn't long it with leverage but i would predict that we definitely are heading for new ATHs.

So i would say that if you have money, and you are not in yet, you might start to enter the markets, as things will only get more volatile from here.

457  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was Bitcoin ETF really a good thing for growth of crypto and Bitcoin prices? on: January 29, 2024, 05:57:34 PM
I see a lot of threads here saying that now that Bitcoin ETFs are approved, it will boost the Bitcoin prices. However, that has not happened in last few days.

I researched more about it and came to know about this new point of view regarding this Bitcoin ETF. According to this point of view, Bitcoin  ETF has made Bitcoin mainstream. It has become something like regulated and as a result the premium effect is gone. Because of this, there will not be that much volatility in prices now and thus the returns it gave in past are now not possible. Do you agree with this point to view?

Here is a link discussing the same thing
https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/wire-news/crypto-is-going-mainstream-which-means-its-over-12135721.html/amp
It gets more volume, but nothing is saying it should go up immediately. There are rich people shorting it and I am guessing that they must have learned something about gamestock, so they wont short it to the ground.

I personally am doubtful about the whole etf. This just makes it even more price centric and more dependable on financial institutions and regulators.

So let's discuss. Do you think a Litecoin ETF has a chance? Are there companies that are applying for a LTC ETF (Grayscale, according to the Reddit thread, seems to have announced interest)?
Question is that is there enough interest for it? Because when it comes to fundamentals, and things SEC would be interested on, it's very similar to bitcoin. It didn't have ico. Founder even sold his coins, so there's even less confusion compared to Satoshi and his coins.

So it really comes to the question if there's even need for etf. Legally speaking i can't find any reason why it would get a pass. Other then is everyone getting etf then? Even those numerous bitcoin forks? Where they would draw a line if to not pointless coins that aren't really innovations but variations of each other.
459  Economy / Economics / Re: China's economy is very sick. What to prepare for? on: January 29, 2024, 03:25:31 PM
It's no secret that after the Kovid pandemic, China's economy has been hit pretty hard. Further problems were a continuation of the economic confrontation with the U.S., which was not a smart move on China's part, as overestimating its strength is the biggest mistake.
Then there was (and now the problem continues) Evergrande and in general the real estate market and related sectors of the economy....

And the day before yesterday the news came out: China is considering the option of withdrawing 2 trillion yuan ($278 billion) from offshore accounts of state-owned companies to save the record falling stock market. Bloomberg writes about it.
According to people familiar with the matter, Chinese authorities are considering a package of measures to stabilize the falling stock market after previous attempts to restore investor confidence failed and prompted Prime Minister Li Keqiang to call for "forceful" steps.

On the one hand, it seems to be the world's second economy, "the world's factory", nominally "the second pole of the bipolar world", on the other hand, it is no longer possible to hide the problems and it is necessary to take such measures.  The question is: since the situation with the Chinese economy is no longer manageable, and we have to take tough and prompt actions to save the economy - how do you think this will affect the global economy, the crypto market, and what to prepare for?
Topic is quite miselading so let's take a step back here. Hitting hard is pretty subjective as they are close to ATH going for new ATH soon. Just becuase projection didn't met expecations because of corona, it isn't dying. Far from it. In fact their forecast for their gdp growth projection looks pretty damn good.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/263770/gross-domestic-product-gdp-of-china/

Personally i don't wish that china would do so well compared to rest of the world, as i don't approve their invasive surveillance tactics, and when they own parts of essential web infrastructure, it's just danger to future of freedom of speech.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. It means a lot to MetaWin Family.

We accept BTC, ETH, and SOL at the moment. But we have LTC and other major altcoins in mind and they are going to be implemented soon.

We are also working on an exclusive giveaway for the Bitcointalk Member.
I am newbie with sol and i have only used phantom browser addon for loggin into sol web3 sites. And maybe i don't just see it, but i can't see any way to connect with sol, so i am assuming that we are we supposed to use  sol that's wrapped to erc20? Or are there any plans to include arbitrum or polygon layers to reduce fees?
