441  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at its ATH of 2023 so far on: December 01, 2023, 01:35:38 PM
It’s great to see, we were at $16,000 for quite a few months if I remember correctly, only last year. Bitcoin continues to show how strong & what a great asset it is cycle after cycle. At this point I think you’re generally a moron if you don’t own any Bitcoin. Let’s see how 2024 goes, I predict it’s going to be a very bullish year.

Right, lowest low for this cycle is around $15,500, when the news about the FTX collapse, and with that we are like 120%++ growth already and it's continuing as of this year as we still have one full month before the end of the year. And there are predictions that we will hit at least $45k, but remains to be seen.

But I think the title is somewhat misleading, maybe the better term is the highest for this year.

As usually all time high is reserved during the bull run wherein we reach a new milestone price as compare to the previous bull run of $69k.
442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 01, 2023, 01:17:27 PM
^^ Right, who wouldn't like to see a underdog, specially a Filipino beat the Japanese monster. Before we say that it could be Casimero as he almost got the chance to show us if he can or can't. But now, it's another Filipino, in Marlon Tapales that we will see if he has what it takes to pull that upset.

This is great for Tapales since almost everyone including most of his countrymen doesn't believe in him, he could just use this as fuel to be motivated and have high aspirations to beat Inoue because this is a great madness because I haven't even witnessed such kinds of humiliations where even Filipinos are laughing at him just by picking the fight with Inoue. He should come up with a working plan to beat the monster and it would be the greatest upset of all time in boxing history if ever that happened.

Yes, there are boxers that are good at it, to be motivated because no one believed in them. I do understand why some Filipinos are against him, yeah, read the some comments on some social media, in youtube as well. Saying that they love Tapales as their countrymen but they are going to bet on Inoue.

So if Tapales has the proper mentality here, he used not be discourage but used this to fuel the fire in himself, at least manifest that he can beat Inoue and he should play this in his mind. There was also interview of Conor about this kind of out of box training. In any case, there should be no pressure for Tapales, just do his best and just believed that he will beat Inoue.
443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin story on: November 30, 2023, 09:34:50 PM
I think one of the memorable stories that can serve as introduction of bitcoin to young people expecially children, is to tell them about about the beginning of bitcoin,  how people never believed in it or find it interesting because they knew it is going to be a boon in this modern day. I think a story will put lots of memories in the head of children which they will grow with to later learn bitcoin proper. I feel starting with a dip introduction can be complicated for children to comprehend.

I think introducing bitcoin as a story will be better for children to know about Bitcoin and it will be more interesting for them and they would want to get more details about bitcoin as they grow up.

I really don't understand why we need to introduce bitcoin to our young children? For me as a parent, I'm totally against it. There are a lot of lessons in life that you can tell them, and I don't think that bitcoin should be one of them.

In any case, though, we have a lot of similar topics in the past:

444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Oscar Duarte (December 2) on: November 30, 2023, 03:29:31 PM
Do Ryan and Bernard Hopkins has a beef?

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/6bytr02m4_M

Probably this is a sign that Golden Boy and Ryan Garcia are really not in terms. I don't know what is the terms between Ryan and Golden Boy, but if it seems that this could be his last fight with Oscar's promotion.

Or is this the way that they wanted to promote this fight as everyone knows that as much as Oscar Duarte looks good in paper, this is a total mismatch and so they need to create more hype in this fight?
445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 30, 2023, 11:54:12 AM
However, someone attempted a 3 on the last possession of the Heat, and luckily it just bounce, so woah, big relieved for me.  Grin
I also saw that desperate final shot and we're lucky it didn't go in because it could've been a backdoor cover.

It's tempting to go for the bigger favorites like the Nuggets, Magic, or Lakers but i'm still scarred from what happened the other day. I switched my pick to the Suns since they've been on a good streak and should extend it even further if nothing goes wrong.

I was hoping the Suns winning streak continued but they let us both down tonight. Booker with only 8 points 5 rebounds and 5 assists kinda hurt. KD was the only 1 with a decent game.

I can't believe Booker could only score 8 points. He's a start who always bring at least 20 points per game but this game it looks like he was lock down by the defense of the Raptors. But then, I think it's justifiable though as they were travelling and winning games, possibly the fatigue factor for Booker took a hit on him that game, you can never tell though.

Yes, and again, it's the homecourt advantage of the Raptors here that's why they played very good against the Suns. There are a lot of good defender from the Raptors that can shut down Booker, plus as you have said they are very tired from traveling so fatigue is definitely a big factor from their lost.

We bet on the Lakers though? They make a good comeback win against a low team in Pistons. But at least they will have to get this W to bring back their confidence. D'Lo broke for 35 points and almost got a double double with 9 assists.
446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: David Benavidez Vs Demetrius Andrade Interim WBC Super Middleweight title fight on: November 30, 2023, 10:24:06 AM
^^ Of course their first choice is Canelo, but it seems that Canelo has the same reason why they don't want to fight David Morrell. So it will just go round in circles. So unless Canelo bring his oath of not fighting another Mexican, or think that David Benavidez deserves it with 2 great wins against Caleb Plant and Andrade, then it will be a go.

So still everything is in the hands of Canelo right now and it looks like he is not going to make his decision any time soon. Most likely he will go on and enjoy the holidays with his family and maybe January will be the time frame to see which fighters will he chooses to fight.
447  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginner vs. fast starter on: November 29, 2023, 09:15:05 PM
Everyone of us here started as a beginner, so yeah, we don't open that much thread and just prefer to read topics over topics to sharpen our knowledge. And with that, once we gain some understand, then that is the time we open threads and asks questions or share some that it very interesting.

I don't think there is such thing as fast learner, everyone started here at 0 knowledge. Maybe they just have a lot of time compare to others to browse the community and play around and gain that knowledge.

My tip as well is to bookmark those threads that you read and then comeback to really understand it.

In this way, you won't forget about certain topics that you want to discuss or what subject interest you.
448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if Bitcoin shutdown? on: November 29, 2023, 08:31:59 PM
I am just wondering, what will happen if Bitcoin shutdown? Will the market crash? How about the effect of this to altcoins? Can government shutdown Bitcoin? I have a lot of question about this matter, because who knows, right? Also, how about hackers shutdown Bitcoin? What are your thought here? Let's discuss this.

What do you mean, hackers can also get into our wallet, if you are talking about the 51%, it has been discussed many times already.

I will linked you to some discussions and see if for your self:

So Bitcoin can't be shutdown per se, and Blockchain's uptime is 99%.

Welcome to the forum.

First of all I did not find your thread interesting in this forum Ann, you should design the thread nicely. Because the more beautiful your announcement thread is and the more gamblers will be attracted to your casino. First impression is always important to make a project successful. So I think you should think about designing your announcement thread. I have visited your casino and I found your casino design quite good. Hope gamblers like your casino.

And I think is, after opening their account here and giving us their websites, they suddenly disappear. Although I see them being online 2 days ago. And that is the problem of some of the new casinos that has been announce here.

As least they should have answers all the queries and make their Ann thread a good design so that it's going to attract more gamblers from our community. That is one of the first thing that we look for, an very appealing Ann thread for everyone.

In any case, goodluck to this new casinos, hopefully you can come back and answers all the questions being raised to you.
450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: November 29, 2023, 08:04:45 PM
I don't care about this promotional video, so it's no big deal what's in it.

What matters is that this fight will happen as scheduled. In reality, this fight doesn't need much effort to market because people will certainly watch it. More marketing might be necessary if the fight were held in neutral territory, but given that it's in Japan where Inoue is currently the best boxer, this isn't needed. People will watch and support him regardless.

And that's why promotional videos are made, because there is already a scheduled fight. If there is no promotion or marketing of this fight, we will not known about it. However, since this is going to happen again in Inoue's backyard, definitely, it won't get any from the US soil specially that he is fighting a non-US fighter.

Only hard core boxing fans are going to watch it from the States. And so it's really betting for Inoue to get out of his comfort zone and go to US as we have been saying.

So promotions are needed even if the fight is going to be in Japan just saying, boxing fans are everyone involved knows that it's needed.

And that's why there are fight that have storyline and hype to make money and let the fans knows that.
451  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most liquid companies in the gambling industry on: November 29, 2023, 10:48:55 AM
From there individual point of view, there is no need to make accounts on many gambling sites in order to fulfil gambling desires. Since gambling needs only luck to be successful, the luck does not change with the change of the gambling sites. Some people believe that they are more lucky playing at certain sites while unlucky at others, well it is just superstitious thoughts and in reality, a change of sites won't have any impact on your luck.

Although the casino is considered a loser when it pays out the winnings of the winners, in reality it makes no difference to the casino because it will always pay from the money that the gamblers lose, which is always more than what the casino has to pay, or in the most extreme cases they use the money deposited at the house edge.

Changing the casino will provide psychological comfort to the gambler who has no luck on a particular platform, but this does not mean at all that luck will necessarily be on his side. The whole process may become useless if he has to complete the registration procedures on the new platform, unless he already has accounts at different casinos.

I think as individuals, we sometimes look for psychological comfort, or at least try no one so that we won't be that guy that just play on one casino and become loyal to them. So yeah, why not try other reputable casinos along the way.

Who knows, maybe your luck will change for the better if you are willing to risk and deposit money to a new casinos. So for me, I don't see wrong with creating on many gambling sites. Yes, there could be superstitions, as gamblers is known to be like that, however, for me, there is that beginners luck that you might experience if you try new sites.
452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What lies ahead for Bitcoin in the coming days? on: November 28, 2023, 09:36:47 PM
No one can be absolutely sure about Bitcoin. What is going to happen next? However, this can be said with certainty. That Bitcoin and the people associated with it have a bright future.
However, experts predict the future on the basis of maps, graphs and their deep study and experience. And their predictions are quite effective and accurate. Now, however, 2023 is drawing to a close, and 2024 is pretty much what most people think. That this is a good year for people related to bitcoin and crypto.
IMO we all almost agree that no one will know what bitcoin will be like in the near future but are still very confident that bitcoin will continue to develop in a better direction in the future if we see the progress that has happened to bitcoin. So that in any case there will definitely be some things that happen but to bitcoin but we don't have to be confused by that because if our confidence in bitcoin is still very big for the future I don't think we need to be too bothered for now considering our goals remain for the future so all we need to do is keep the portopolio well and hold the assets we have, if necessary invest again with several methods such as DCA which has been done by most bitcoin investors.

Looking at it's past historical logs, yeah, most likely we will have a bright future. In the next months or so, we will experience block halving again, and from what we know this is a catalyst for a massive bull run and with that, we should be ready by it.

We can prepare ourselves by continuing to accumulate as much bitcoin as we can, it might not be 1 bitcoin, but at least stack sats before the halving time because we will see another all time high around 2025 and obviously our portfolio will grow and it could be a big return for us. We can't stress enough how to accumulate to DCA and there are many websites that can help us with that.
453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: David Benavidez Vs Demetrius Andrade Interim WBC Super Middleweight title fight on: November 28, 2023, 09:05:47 PM
^^ Yes mate, and I do agree with what Porter says, his analysis is spot on and I think majority of the members here see that one. It's the youth of DB that really give problems to Canelo. And then you have to think about the power and the stamina being young to be able to go toe to toe with a not so prime Canelo at this point.

When Canelo moved up, Dmitrii Bivol was the champion, making it challenging to expect the same domination as in his previous division. I believe Canelo might not make a similar decision again and will likely stay in the current division, facing opponents like David Benavidez, who has showcased power and secured impressive wins against Demetrius Andrade.

However, if you're suggesting that Canelo is already out of his prime, or 'not so prime' as you stated, I disagree. I believe he is still in his prime. While his loss in the new division was acceptable given the circumstances, if he remains in a division where he is comfortable, we need to observe further before concluding that he is 'not so prime' anymore.

We can only judge a boxer from their last fight and it seems that Canelo still have the pop in his punches against Charlo and that he won that fight, let's put it that way. But maybe if he will fight a legit 168 lbs, like David Benavidez, not like a Charlo who hasn't been in this division, although he can make weight, but still he hasn't fight in this weight class and he is a super welterweight unified champion.

So that is a big discrepancy already. So we will see him being tested if he is prime not against a young fighter, who is very hungry, wanted to proved that he will be the next king of the MW division and that is Benavidez. We can also hope that Canelo wanted to fight him next, Mexican vs Mexican brawl.
454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will transaction fees affect Bitcoin in the future? on: November 27, 2023, 09:29:25 PM
A couple of times the mempool has been congested resulting in high transaction fees which is mostly not too healthy for the network as most users who do not have that much to spare for fees tend to cease transactions till the fee rate subsides. Also owing to the fact that Bitcoin has become more adopted over time, users have also increased too therefore logically, as the Bitcoin adoption rate increases, so does the price of Bitcoin however it has also partially led to increase in Bitcoin fees over time. Here is a chart which shows Bitcoin Avg. Transaction Fee.Relatively
fees have increased over Time and even exponentially during periods of congestion of the network.Yes topics concerning fees have been raised over time however aside from the implementation of the layer 2 what other possible ways would help keep Bitcoin transaction fees as low as possible.
Here also is a chart from  Blockchain.com that shows
Fees Per Transaction.
What is your opinion about this?

Not sure if you have been in 2017, if I remember correctly, in the last quarter, specially November-December, the fees also increased that big. Although you can say that it's very different right now because we have the BRC-20 that congesting the mempool, and the incoming bull run, perhaps we won't see the fees going back to it' normal, or least 10 sat/vB bare minimum.

In any case, we will see how we will adapt, Bitcoin is resilient though, perhaps this is just temporary after the hype or BRC-20. Or will it continue and then we evolved, layer solution could be underway to try to fix this one.
455  Economy / Gambling / Re: Monk.gg - Crypto's Homegrown PvP Casino on: November 26, 2023, 11:32:23 PM
Welcome to the community, recently we have another established platform who made a PvP game as well. And I think this is just the beginning for PvP, although this kind of games have been existing for the last couple of years. But I think it will have it's time and probably this will be this year or beyond.

most pvp gambling platforms have hard time sustaining and surviving this business. so don't know what are the plans here for them to attract players and sustain their presence. though it is too early to tell, but you can't see much of pvp platforms because they couldn't stay long.
in terms of kyc, as a new player, better not be strict for now. we can understand they have license but to attract players, they should not be very strict for now. considering that pvp concept alone is hard to sustain.

It's too early to say though that this kind of business will not survived. Maybe it was not that popular, but if casinos specially big ones will carry this one then I do believed that it will also take the gaming industry by storm.

Just like what we have seen in crash games, before nobody wanted to play it, but in 2-4 years, many platform as carry it and I will say one of the favorite games because of the rush that you can get out it.
456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: David Benavidez Vs Demetrius Andrade Interim WBC Super Middleweight title fight on: November 26, 2023, 09:26:26 PM
Fight is underway here is a live feed of the fight hopefully it will not be taken down and we will finish the whole fight

https://www.facebook.com/watch/live/?ref=search&v=318256367806536

The latest update was the corner of Andrade stopped the fight, Andrade took a lot of beating and there was a warning coming from the referee that he would stop the fight if Andrade couldn't defend himself, now we are finally going to see a Benavidez - Canelo fight for an all Mexican great fight
Have not watched the live fight but indeed that the fight isn't that exciting and enjoying because of how Andrade perform in this one .

Now I think this is the best waiting , to wait for Canelo  fighting Benavidez , this is also the time to create another thread for the upcoming fight .

Congrats Benavidez , this is your fight and all angles pointing to you winning the bout.

I watched the highlight of the fight, and as expected Benavidez exploited the weakness of Andrade.  Benavidez was not fazed by the signature volume punching of Andrade since he has a solid defense and has a quick enough reaction to counter and land devastating punches.  As a result Andrade got stunned many times and even got KD.  Instead of adjusting Andrade keep on doing the same thing that resulted to more injuries that make Andrade and his corner request to stop the fight during the break after the 6th round.

He really imposed his will in the beginning and not allow Andrade to established his. And as what others seen, he was relentless and pressure fighter, reminds me of when Margarito is at his prime fighting Miguel Cotto, prior to Margarito's being caught with plaster of paris.

So with that kind of no nonsense attack and really at your face all the time, Andrade was broken by Benavidez slowly every round. And you can see the expression on the face of Andrade that he is not responding to his corner giving him what to do. Benavidez is too big and too strong for him.

We will have to wait though before we can see if Canelo is going to fight Benavidez, make it official before someone creates a thread.
457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 26, 2023, 01:32:55 PM
Sixers won against the OKC, and Joel just bully himself against the young Chet in the paint in the very first possession of the game and it shows that they are going to capitalized on it and that's what they did. But the kid can't be deny, he is really playing very good basketball and so him and Wemby are going to fight it hard for the ROY award.
Currently I consider Chet Holmgren as the Rookie of the Year. The hype around Wemby is just that hype. Chet is consistently performing well and significantly contributing to the Thunder. When comparing the performance of their respective teams the Thunder with Chet Holmgrem is outperforming Wembenyama's team. The stats speak for themselves; at this moment Chet Holmgren is far different to Wembenyama.

Yeah, if we look at the numbers and how Chet contributed to the OKC team, he could already be the rookie of the year. But we still have a lot of games in our hands and maybe Wemby will have to do something about it to be in the discussion, otherwise, there's no competition as Chet will be the runaway winner specially if the OKC team goes to the playoffs.

I wouldn't say that Wemby is hype though, maybe he is still very raw and perhaps coach Pop can't find the correct chemistry and the missing links so that the Spurs can snap that losing streak, the longest for this season if I'm not mistaken.
458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subriel Matias vs. S. Ergashev (IBF jr. welterweight title) Nov. 4: Las Vegas on: November 26, 2023, 07:10:52 AM
It's a surprising turn of events, Ergashev is doing great and I thought Ergashev was going to knock out Matias in the first round and will dictate the tempo of he fight but what happens is Matias took over after round 2 sensing that Ergashev couldn't hurt him.
You may be a hard puncher but if you cannot take a punch you will be in trouble, Matias can take Ergashev's punches but unfortunately, Ergashev couldn't take Matias's punches.

Subriel proves himself a more systematic fighter, breaking down Ergashev until he can't take it anymore, with this win Matias has proven that he can be a nig name in a division where there are big names ruling from other organizations

Good observation, he was able to take the best punches of Ergashev, but after a couple of rounds, he figure him out and that he can take his power. And so he takes over, systematically breaking Ergashev in every round. Although Subriel is Puerto Rican, he trains in Mexico and probably adopted that style as well that's why he is very tough.

I like him to go with the champions in this division, he has the belt so now sure who among the current bred are willing to face a tough champion like him. Maybe Teo will be open for a unification, but not sure though, maybe the risk is too high for them and could demand more money just to avoid for Subriel.
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin purchase using proceeds of a sold asset on: November 26, 2023, 05:30:29 AM
I had a discuss with someone about how people become successful through the Bitcoin space with  a case study of CZ, Binance's ex CEO. It was recorded that he had to do away with his house and invested the money into Bitcoin and today he has resources to afford more than enough houses anywhere in the world.

I suggested to him to pay deaf ears to what people will say if he wanted to invest in anything as it was his life and his money. He, however stated his concerns, that his property has his parents inhabiting it and that they would not agree for him to dispose it and also he considers it the only chance he has at investing in Bitcoin since he was just venturing into that space newly.

I know the parents must have gottent some negative reports about the crypto space and have held onto that as a reason for refusing to allow him sell it off.

Share your thoughts on this as to what you consider a wise counsel...

It's really hard to give advise as far as finance or money goes, I mean it can go either way for the person. If his parents is not agreeing to him then he can't do anything about it, simply as that. Maybe if he has a job or something, then he can used that money to invest slowly just like what the majority of us here are doing. It's a slow and steady grind, but at least you have total control of everything.

So I guess don't go extreme and to far to sell all his properties just saying. Just invest what he can afford to lose and then see how it goes for him. We still have less than a year to do that before the block halving, so it's not to late for him to go and put some money on Bitcoin.
460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The most important thing in a betting site on: November 25, 2023, 08:50:48 PM
Most of the casino sites have a reputation but before that I think the most important thing in betting sites is to check the previous performance of the casinos before betting. It can be impossible to win when you play on a rogue and unfair gambling site. But you can ensure your online safety by choosing a casino licensed by a well-respected gambling company. Also always check the game certification from the organizations to make sure the games are free and fair and most importantly make sure that the games on offer are prone to risky bets. And above all, prepare a gambling bankroll and bets using regulated and licensed online casinos. Many gamblers forget from the excitement of betting if you want to stay safe you need to be calmer and more conscious in making any decisions.

And for gamblers, it's really hard to understand how they can play on some rogue casinos or at least try some with a bad reputation, and then when they have issues they will come back here and then we notice that this casino has some scam accusations that has been unsettled before and so it has precedence already.

All we do is just research on that casino and you will be good because you will see a lot of good casinos around here that has been either been promoted by gamblers or we have put all good reviews as per our experience and this includes a lot: the design and UI, total experience, how active they are in the community, support, deposit and withdrawal process, and other things that we look for a trusted casinos.
