1401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: January 21, 2023, 09:04:51 PM
I watched some clips and highlights of Stephen Fulton's previous fights and all I can say is;

"There's still time for him to think twice to withdraw from the fight against Naoya Inoue" Grin

Not degrading the champion here but Inoue will surely beat the champion Fulton here. How can Fulton even able to keep up with Inoue's insane speed while throwing strong punches at the same time? If Inoue will able to crash the defense of Fulton, say hello now to his deadly body blow, and for sure Fulton will feel that pain for the first time in his career.

Same with other opponents he fight he should not downplay Fulton since he's still a champion there are power between on those fist that can knock him off if he think that every opponent is so easy for him. But I believe also that Inoue will win this since he's aiming to get another record which great milestone of his career. But the problem there if Fulton can win against Figueroa since if he lost on this fight maybe there are some changes might happen and camp Inoue might not be interested on this fight anymore.

We never see Inoue downplay his opponents, that is a true trait of great boxers, and definitely not overlooking Fulton because he is a champion. But he wants to challenge the best that's why he went against the champion in his first fight at 122 lbs.

It Figueroa wins the belt then there will be a big change in the plans. Inoue will have to chance Figueroa now because what Inoue wants is to have a belt and unify 122 lbs same as what he did on bantamweight.

That's a good goal, I know he can do that at the right time. Now, he has to take it slowly, fight the champion first, and then if he wins here, he can go for another champion to unify the belt, and probably he will become an undisputed champion. Inoue is lucky that his path goes directly to challenging a champion, that's the benefit of being an undisputed champion in bantamweight division.

I wouldn't say his lucky, he has what it takes to go the champion directly as he held all the major belts at bantamweight. And then he has one of the cunning manager in Bob Arum that can pull strings and make his champion and cash cow fight for the belt in his first fight moving up in division. If I remember it correctly, he has done it with Manny as well, when moving up and facing David Diaz for the belt.

And the fans are demanding this as well to see how Inoue will be in the next weight class against 1 of the 2 champion in this division.
1402  Other / Archival / Re: [POLL]What do you expect from Bitcoin in 2023? on: January 20, 2023, 02:06:54 PM
But my forecast is that this year bitcoin will not find ATH, but will experience a phase of gradual recovery according to market reactions and conditions that allow it and I want the $40,000-$50,000 price to close by the end of the year.

Too optimistic. It is unlikely that Bitcoin will close this year at such high levels. Yes, he can reach them this year, but it is unlikely to keep such a price until the end of the year. Most likely, a more realistic closing of the year will be somewhere in the region of $28,000-35,000.

I'll put it in a stretch of $30k-$40k this year, yeah, nothing big at least it's good enough prior to the bitcoin block halving next year. And if we close this year with that price, it's already like x2 of the lowest lows so I guess that is a huge jump from last year's worst market.

Bitcoin will get a recovery. I just presume the bearish trend is gradually fading away and the trend is gradually taking a new look and a new ATH won't be out of place to expect. So far the new year has given a bright face of recovery pushing price as high as $21,000 from this a possible bull run will happen in 2023.

Even if we reach the price range of $30k, we are still in the bear market. We will only get out of the bear market after the block halving. We all know that this is the catalyst for the bull run and this is going to happen next year, so we will have to wait a bit further.
1403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: January 20, 2023, 11:34:50 AM
Good for him, I don't know much a lot with Stephen but Naoya sure is a monster and is worthy of his alias. On 122 lbs, I'm sure that he'll feel something new with that but he's aware of any changes on that division and since he's the undisputed champion on the past division that he has left, it's becoming more interesting not just on him but also the title match that he has vacated.

I don't also see Inoue having issues on 122 lbs, and I think he can bring his power to this division (I hope others will agree with my observation). What I really like about Fulton is his never say die mentality, against Brandon Figueroa, he shows a lot of heart and win that fight in the judges score card. But I don't think he can last against the power of Inoue. Again even in 122 lbs, he might be even powerful in this division because he doesn't have to weight drain himself just to make the desired weight. Now he can eat without issues and then go to the gym train hard every day. Fulton's tenacity will be tested here.
1404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rejecting odd provider's limit on: January 20, 2023, 09:55:25 AM
Have seen few discussion in this board about odd providers limiting user accounts, I assume they must be tracking user's accounts across multiple casinos by email address, kyc is triggered later.

It's the job of the casino to monitor each and every account on their system. And as far as a I know, they have a fraud department who flag down accounts. And if they find something suspicious, then they are going to require that account to undergo KYC.

My question is, would it be possible to circumvent such imposition by simply using different emails while registering on different casinos?

There is no stopping you from using different emails when registering, casino's are not going to look at your email. It's how you play your account, your history and such that will require them to ask for mandatory KYC. They are looking like game arbitrage or anything that they think you are exploiting their system.
1405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 20, 2023, 09:19:42 AM
I like to think what Doncic did was shake these players on their roster. Boost them up to avoid being traded. Play harder. Be consistent. Because if they do all of those, I doubt he will request something like this again. Who knows, they might just need a little push.

I'm also thinking the same. Never seen Luka asking for a much better teammate but instead just wants them to remain consistent at all times. Even though they were able to bounce back from the Western Conference standing, unfortunately, the whole team is not consistent aside from Luka.

I posted before that if Luka will score below 25 points, the Mavericks are likely to lose that game. That was during, if I remembered correctly, around late December to early January games. Luka is a pure offensive scoring machine and that's what Mavericks have to take advantage of. His teammates should try to give him good support and the most important thing, be consistent as always.

Sooner or later though Luka will have to ask the management for a better team mate, what if he goes to the management and demand for it? They failed on KP + Luka experiment before, it could have been good, but something is off.

So they traded him, still though, looks like the players they got doesn't have that mentality, not the skills because they are good, however, it could be that they are not mentally ready. So most of the times they are just standing and watching Luka and waiting for him to throw a a pass and they will take a jumpshot.
1406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 20, 2023, 08:41:05 AM

Maybe, we all know that Oscar or at least his guy Ryan Garcia wanted to get the attention of the media to create the hype for this fight although we are already waiting for this huge fight to be sign.

So the storylines have been seen, regardless if the fight is April or May, at least they got the contract sign and that is the good news for us.

We will just have to wait for the official date and venue and then bookies opening their lines.

for sure they will create a hype as much as they can to get the attention of the boxing community and to eventually generate good income out of this fight. oscar's camp is grooming garcia to be their cash cow in this sports. but his upcoming fight with tank davis is not a very good looking one. what i mean is, davis may win on this fight. so if garcia loses, what's next for him?

Perhaps right now, they are not thinking of losing in this fight, maybe after the result then they will have to go and settle in and see what will be the next option. Oscar in his prime did lost  a fight and was able to bounce back. So definitely even if he losses it might not be the end. He could go and fight at 140 lbs. Remember that this fight is at a catchweight of 136 lbs, and we have seen Garcia fighting Tagoe above 135 lbs as well. So that could be a good option for Garcia after this fight if ever he losses.
1407  Economy / Speculation / Re: January bitcoin price out look on: January 19, 2023, 12:22:13 PM
We are halfway into January and we are still around 20k Bitcoin price we may have a very slow growth in this period and since we are already above 20k the only time we can expect to end the month at a 25k price of we should be climbing up to around 22k before this week end.
some speculators are already predicting a further pull back since the price have dropped below the 21k within the last 24 hours.

But if tge price of Bitcoin can really recover up to 22k in thos months only then we can expect to see a significant bull come back with a lot of recoveries to do in the coming month if all things keep being equal and on a positive appetite.
The next days are going to be very important as according to some reports Genesis could declare bankruptcy a week from now, and it would be natural for the bears to take advantage of this opportunity to try to make the price to go even lower.

Regardless though, we haven't seen that much impact and dent on the price, although we have some corrections, going to back < $21k. But I think the $20k price is our support for now.

But if the price can sustain itself and does not drop that hard then that would mean there are not many weak hands left on the market and that a stronger recovery is just a matter of time, and while I think this is the most likely scenario, a strong downward movement cannot be discarded completely.

As I have said, still holding and we didn't go below $20k, so maybe those who are selling are just small fraction, and investors are continuing to take advantage of the cheap price and loading as much bitcoin as they can at $20k price. What we should look is the price action throughout this month not just the end of the week as I have a feeling that we are going to sustain above $20k this month which is a good sign.
1408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 19, 2023, 11:39:51 AM

Also, Donaire is more suited in the bantamweight division rather than looking for a title at 115 pounds as I'm inclined that his career might end sooner that what he expected. Having a fight against Moloney for the vacant title is already a good opportunity for Donaire to display his prowess again in this division that he was once a champion, it will be a perfect bout for him to test if he can still do few more fights or it's time for him to hang up his gloves.

It's such a waste to go on retirement soon when he still feeling it and he still can punch to knock out his opponent. since this boxing industry gathers huge money, it's really hard for those like Donaire to turn away from offers while he still can box and can give the fans excited when he fights in the ring. I think he will stop when he will gonna suffers the same loss again when he will gonna be knockout out cold or can no longer take some punches like how he used to be in his prime. right now, his speed is not the same anymore, and when he retires he will be soon fighting celebrity boxers if he still wants to make money from boxing.

Whether we like it or not, Donaire will be retiring soon, he is already 40 years old and that's already old in boxing now. He suffer many losses already, one was against Inoue which was his recent loss, but of course, he has a chance to be a champion again as Inoue has already moved up in weight. So it's nice if he will just retire as a champion in case he'll be a champ again.

It only make sense for Donaire to retire because admit it or not, father time has catch up with him, have you notice that thin hair line now? just like what we have seen in Lebron James, signs that they are getting old.

So this is his last chance, we don't want him to get knockout cold, if he lost for the belt against Moloney then that should be it.

It's time to admit that he can no longer box.

There's only a limit for a certain thing and Nonito Donaire should already accept the reality if it turns out that he cannot have a title in this division anymore, there's no need to look in the lower division too because there's nothing to prove anymore. He's been known to be "The Flash" but lately, he's not that flashy or fast anymore as his opponent are already catching up with him.

I think him going to 115 lbs as his plan in the beginning is obviously to get another belt under his waist, that's why he is looking for Juan Francisco Estrada as his best ticket for that.

But as we all know, Inoue no longer wants to fight at 118 lbs, so all the plans of Donaire were scratch.

Now he is back at 118 lbs and looking for at least one belt against Moloney, but seems there is a hindrance for that one.
1409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 19, 2023, 11:07:24 AM
The Mavericks are building a team around him so he has the power to demand the whole management to be active in trades. He's like Le-GM Version 2.0 now. Kidding Cheesy.

He will eventually become like LeBron who will have a huge influence inside the management.
I think it's too early for that for his career to bring a demand like that, he has not proven anything yet, like carrying his team to the finals, like what LeBron did in 07, until he realized he's not getting any help from the Cavs management.
The Mavs are in a better spot right now. Luka just need to make his teammates getting involved more offensively.

Here's to hoping that Luka won't end up demanding a lot from the management and getting all the attention get up to his head. He's still getting better each time, and we haven't seen prime Luka Doncic yet. Hopefully the Mavs management take advantage of their current position while Luca is still happy with the current setup and build the team around him with better teammates that has the offensive power and can make plays for him as well. The man also needs to be more active in terms of leadership in order to have his team motivated to play instead of just relying on himself to win games for the team.

Not sure if he is happy or not, he is still very young and probably not demanding any at this point. But there will be a time that he might ask Cuban to surround him with better role players, who can really help and contribute not just playing just for the sake of being in the team.

He already shows that he can carry the team, but it's not always that he will have to do that because his body can only take so much in the grueling 82 games and then we have the playoff.

Finally, the last obstruction to make this happen is cleared as Dela Hoya posted on social media the contract of the Ryan - Davis fight, so glad that they did not make this another Spence - Crawford scenario, this is the biggest fight coming in April I'm eager to see their press conference and their face off and what they are going to say to each other.

Tank Davis vs Ryan Garcia deal appears done, De La Hoya shows off contract

I am very skeptical hehe. I speculate that Oscar dela Hoya knew already that the contract will be signed he and only created some headlines to give the fight more attention from the sportsnews media. It worked, I reckon. Everyone started to talk about Tank, King Ry and similar to me, people were creating storylines of which boxer really does not want to fight on May hehehehe.

In any case, is the fight on April or May? I have read a few articles where it was mentioned to be on May. Newer articles mention it will be on April.

1411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is investing in ethereum safe? on: January 18, 2023, 10:55:15 PM
The only drawback for Ethereum is that it become so very centralized now that it will not sit well with some of us. There are even reports that there are a million validators, so imagine that, everyone has control and maybe there could be one validator who has the majority.

But if you are ok with this kind of setup for Vitalik's project then why not, there are predictions that it might hit 5 digits in the future.

So if Bitcoin goes to $100k, Ethereum might see $10k.

What are they thinking? is this their way to keep everything balanced?  Cheesy Grin

~
Ja Morant is surely one of a kind and the fans are always looking forward to seeing him dunk on someone every time he plays. Thankfully he always has been negative and we can see more of his amazing dunks in the future. Though they are different from Vince Carter, I'm glad I'm seeing in the NBA who can actually dunk without hesitation whenever he got the chance. He really needs to do more of this because he will miss it when he gets old as Vince does.
When you are doing the unnatural, you will be tested. Didn't we see that right after Donovan Mitchell posted 71 points against the Chicago Bulls?
The next day they tested him and he even tweeted about it. The funny thing is, the NBA said the drug testing will only be done 4 times per season.
1 pre-season, 2 regular, 1 final. Ain't this too much testing Ja Morant? I mean, his leaps are extraordinary but considering how fit he is, that should be normal and we have seen it a lot of times already, so it won't be a question anymore. He can jump, no doubt.
It makes you wonder how many players will have to go thru this whenever they feel like they want to jump higher.  Grin

Not the first time that we have seen this kind of spectacular dunk by Ja Morant though, and maybe last season he was also tested by the NBA and all is clean. So we shouldn't be surprised if players are tested and pass because some of them are gifted athletically like Morant or even the Giannis.

And he is still in his prime though, so no question about it.

Well if he is like in his 30's and not in his top shape then suddenly dunking again, that will raise an alarm. But right now, it's normal, just like what we have seen in Vince Carter when he was in his prime.
1414  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did you sell off during the 21k price breach. on: January 18, 2023, 12:21:42 PM
It's tempting, but no dice for me, it's too early to sell as the price is still very low. Even if you bought at $15,500 the margin of profit is still not huge as compare to selling your stash in a bull run.
(....)
But if you are not looking forward to a bull run this year, you gonna sell even if you bought at the $15,000 level. For me, I have some Bitcoin that bought around $17,000 and just sold when Bitcoin broke the $20,000 level a few days ago because I believe, there are still a lot of opportunities to accumulate more Bitcoin before this year ends.

There are a lot of opportunities to accumulate, but who knows, maybe it will not present itself like when the price is $15k-$17k. So maybe it's best to keep it and hold for a while.

And I'm surprised though to hear from you saying that people are not looking for a bull run? Because that's what we are looking at right?

You saying that you are not looking forward in 2024/25 ATH and will just keep on selling as long as you are making profits?
1415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 18, 2023, 12:04:57 PM
Before rebuilding they can taste another play-off run with Bron, maybe one last time.

That's what the Lakers fans want to see even though the chances are kind of slim at the moment. But who knows as long as the Lakers are trying their best to remain alive in getting this year's playoff spot regardless if they will play on the play-in or not.

LeBron James' possibly achieving one of the toughest records in the league which is becoming the number 1 in NBA All-time Scoring leaders + Lakers competing in the playoffs will be a sweet achievement for the Lakers this season.

Anthony Davis might come back with a few games before the All-Star or early February as far as some rumor about his status is concerned.

Maybe when Davis comes back, there chances are going to skyrocket to make the playoffs. Hopefully when Davis goes back, it will not be too late for him. Although they are losing games, it's very close one and it could go either way. And it seems that the whole Lakers is somewhat getting their second wind as they are playing very high level with James and Westbrook and some of their role players.

So let's wait when is AD going to be back and hopefully he will be healthy throughout after the All Star break. He is one key figure with the Lakers, and he will have to play the second half of the regular season to stay alive their hopes of getting into another playoff together.
1416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: January 16, 2023, 06:22:50 AM
There is no official announcement yet of this fight, but the two are still going at it at their social media accounts which lead me to believed that this fight is going to happen. They are talking about the March date, so maybe the 2nd or 3rd week of that month.

However, it can still push thru if they haven't settled down small things like the size of the ring, and weight of the gloves and others. Hopefully we can hear it officially before the end of this month.

maybe, they are talking so the interest won't die down among boxing fans. they need to earn from this fight so they should make sure there's hype for this match. sometimes the delay is owed to purse split if both camps don't agree with their share. but in any case, if they feel they are ready to rumble, their promoters will publish the date.

I agree, they really need to sit down and talk about this fight, the hype has been building for years for this two to square in the ring. And then with a spectacular knockout of the year from Caleb Plant.

They need to settle in the middle if those small things are to be settled.

Most probably Caleb Plant is playing mind games with David and his team regarding his request of a bigger size arena so that he can run from David's power punches. But then when the fight happen, Caleb will have a different game plan.

Dame is proud of his loyalty with the Trail Blazers, so I don't think we will see him in another team.

Lillard's statement here;

Damian Lillard Is Proud Of Loyalty To Trail Blazers, Says That Winning A Championship With Another Team Wouldn't Be As "Fulfilling"

Damian Lillard expresses to the Blazers before that if the team won't work out properly to improve the team, he might break that loyalty thing.

But several seasons have passed now and looks like Dame already accepts that Blazers won't do their very best to sign a Superstar level to join him.

What's the reason? For me, it's because the Blazers have nothing to offer such a huge contract to other Superstars as they go all-in for Dame.
Inspired by the late Kobe, Jerry West, Larry Bird and Dirk? Maybe that's the reason why Dame is very vocal right now regarding him staying with the Blazers and be loyal instead of him going out and find another team. If he really is genuine into what he is saying then we might see him staying with the Blazers.

Right now, they are at the bottom spot again of the standings but they've got a promising player in Simons. Having better players alongside Lillard and Simons might change the whole team. On the other hand, their chances of winning a title so far is close to zero. I mean we don't see any reasons for the team to win a title right. Cheesy. Maybe lets just hope that they will enter at least the playoffs or the play-ins this season.

Those name won championship that's why they remain loyal to the franchise. Dame has not proved anything yet so we shouldn't compare his name with those great players.

Yes, Simons is good but I don't think it will be enough help for Dame. It's just CJ 2.0, and we all know that their partnership didn't end well, not even close to bring the team into the WCF.
1418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: January 16, 2023, 05:34:20 AM
Artur will surely win in this fight , Yarde is good but not enough to defeat a monster like Beterbiev , just watch the past fight of him and the answer is already given,

Perhaps the right term is that his chances are high, because he has a immaculate record and has been knocking down his opponents lately, so he possesses a power in this division that no one can take, even Anthony Yarde. But just like any boxing fans, Yarde chance is very slim and maybe what we call a miracle can make his win this fight. That one punch that will chance the outcome. But we will see, both seems to be very confident of their talent to win here.
1419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: betting against the Public, is this strategy working? on: January 16, 2023, 05:08:02 AM
Probably this is just one strategy made up by someone who bet on games that he didn't know and won some money and later he know that what he bet is against the public.

So yes this could make or break for some gamblers. I mean the strategy is just to simply that you just have to look at what the public is betting on public like going to Vegas and see how the betting is going on several games and then choose the opposite. If you win then good for you.

Here's my bet, Sacramento vs Spurs,  I will go wit the Kings -6.5 @1.95.

And then with Nets vs OKC, OKC (underdog), ML @2.55 and 4.5 @1.94.

It seems that you got this 2 bets already, Just imagine though if you have parlay the underdog OKC with the Sacramento handicap that is going to be huge odds. But still I understand that it's a single bet as lately parlays are getting destroyed. So good win for you mate.

Lakers vs Sixers, again, I like the underdog Lakers, ML @2.25.

Very close game so far, Lakers still at the middle of the game against the Sixers. Last 4 minutes of the game and the Sixers just lead by 1.
