1381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dogecoin Dead ? on: January 28, 2023, 02:23:12 PM
Dogecoin is the perhaps one of the most unique & captivating offering in crypto space. As of right now it’s hard to say for certain Wether or not dogecoin is dead. It is almost impossible to predict the future of crypto including doge. But, elon musk recently Said that he shall be working to make dogecoin is use in real world.

It has been considered a meme coin since it's inception, so there is nothing unique about it to be honest.

However, when we have individuals like Elon Musk pumping it, then it become one of the most valuable asset in the last couple of years and then investors jumping on the hype coin. Now for me, this is not a good coin to invest, in my opinion, it might not enjoy the support in the next bull run. Although it will still remain in the crypto space for the next coming years. So everything depends on how Elon Musk will market and used Dogecoin in the future. But for me, I'm done with it.
1382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 28, 2023, 01:49:04 PM

The money is really going to flow in this fight and could be one of the biggest for the year.

That's expected because it's an anticipated fight, I mean, fans are waiting for a fight that are both champions and are almost equal in skills. So this fight is one of those, although Davis is a slight favorite but that does not change the fact that we have divided fans here, which means the fight is really exciting to watch.

Just a correction though, neither holds any belt at 135 lbs as it was being held by Devin Haney who will have a fight with Loma.

So this is just for all the glory and respect and the money for both boxers. They have been calling each other out because they know that this fight is going to be huge, money wise.

A trilogy would be fine though as long it will always result to a close fight.

Yes, even a rematch though, not necessarily a trilogy, this fight should be close enough to declare that a second fight is needed.

If this will happen, offered Jerami Grant his maximum four year, $112 million extension...

Quote
Thave offered Jerami Grant his maximum four year, $112 million extension but the versatile forward is yet to accept the deal, reports Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer. Grant became eligible for the deal earlier this month.

Do you think he is deserving of this huge contract? or will help accept it or decline it?

Hasn't he already rejected? Jerami Grant Rejects Blazers' Four-Year, $112M Offer With Intent On Making More In Free Agency
Pistons did a great job traded him last Summer. I don't think he should get more but I don't know what Blazers management think. He still wants to stay in Portland but with a higher paycheck. Portland's current squad don't promise anything other than a low play-off spot, keeping or releasing him don't really matter.

There's a lot of players rejecting huge offers, like Fred Van Fleet and now Jeremi Grant. All I can say is that hopefully they don't get "Schrodered", Lol. So we don't understand this players now, maybe they just want to see how the other team might offer to them or they don't want to play anymore with their current team that's why the rejected it even if the offer is huge, in my opinion.

As for Booker, same with Ja Morant, too much trash talking but they can't back it up in the playoffs.

So the moral lesson is that stay humble until you win a ring.
1384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: January 28, 2023, 12:45:43 PM
I think that there will be enough time for Donaire if him and his team chooses to weigh down. But if Moloney is already good with the said bout then it's okay for Donaire to take a stop over first and have this match.

And whether he wins or losses then he can proceed to the weighing down and another division that he may want to dominate before he entirely retires for it.

The reason why Donaire considers moving down weight is that no chance at all to take a title shot at the Bantamweight as Inoue is really a monster.

Since Inoue moved up, Donaire shifted gears and accept the mandatory bout for the vacant WBC Bantamweight title as a Rank 2 contender.

Donaire doesn't experience much big trouble in keeping up with the required weight in his entire boxing career. Regardless if he will fight on Super Lightweight or stay in Bantamweight, no problem at all regarding weight.

Yes, he might not have a problem, but it can pose a threat to his body as he is not getting any younger. But it's better for him to stay at 118 lbs, I think this weight is perfect for him. We have seen him knocking out his opponents and even goes to the finals with Inoue at the WBSS tournament. But I do agree that he target 115 lbs because Inoue has beaten him. And now that Inoue moves up, Donaire should be fine with this division again and could be the champion next if ever he beats Moloney.

I made many threads predicting this would be the easiest Australian Open of Novak's career and I was right.

After being deported last year he has come back on a mission and is seeking revenge.

It was different though last year, there was a lot of drama back then.

But yes, it was relatively easy match and path for Djokovic in the finals. Might be interesting if Tsitsipas can finally break and beat Djokovic in AO. Or Djokovic is still too good at this point that another Grand Slam is on his way.

Checking on the odds, Tsitsipas a huge underdog, almost 5:1 against Djokovic.
1386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 27, 2023, 11:57:18 AM
0 point
7 assists
1 rebound
19 minutes played

That was Ben Simmon's stats against the Pistons hehe. It just doesn't make sense for a big PG not to make more shot attempts on a league that mostly favors offense now. It was less than 10 tries per game in their last four or five outings. This guy would be very lucky to have a contract extension that's close to his current salary if he keeps playing like this.

That was just an unexpected loss because Detroit Pistons is currently in the last spot in the eastern conference and many have expected they gonna win easily but the result is the contrary. Too much for Ben Simmons because he thought he doesn't really need to shoot in this game that's why he average 0 points this time. He might be just playing his role as a defender but that wasn't enough to help his team to win this time. Maybe in their next game, he consider shooting the ball because they are not at the alarming spot anyway because they are in the number 4 spot which is really impressive.

Everyone thought, I mean the betting public that the Nets will somewhat win this game because let's admit it, they still have Irving. But he didn't get any support from Ben Simmons, although in his last game against the Nets, he has a good game (maybe he just want to proved something against them).

But here we went scoreless, although he has 7 assists to go. But 0 points is not acceptable in him, everyone in their roster that played had scored 2 points or more, only Cam Thomas who just played 2 minutes put up anything.
1387  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rise described as false bull on: January 27, 2023, 11:02:34 AM
There will always be people that will think that certain price movements are caused by manipulation or whatever theory they could think of, regardless of direction; and it's mostly voiced out by people who missed out on pumps, or bought heavily before dumps.
Or people who think they are experts and can predict the price. Most of these people are not great at what they do and they just shout out random things instead of what is happening. You have got the people who just state the obvious like what is happening now and you got the others that just go and predict something opposite to what is happening now. That is usually the predictions people make without any insight.

TA can help, but I do agree that there are no experts here, if we did then they should be millionaires by now. It's all wild and educated guess and there are just speculators who might hit their predictions right, but for sure there are only a few of them, but still it's not a exact math.

And most of the time if their are a lot who predicted this X price in the coming months, usually the market goes on the opposite direction and that's why prediction is very hard, it will go on the other side when you least expected of it. So this is like a game that is hard to predict and it's going to be a hit or miss to us.
1388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 27, 2023, 10:04:44 AM
Spencer Dinwiddie just had to do it all, without the help of Luka Doncic, I also lost a players props' parlay due to the unfortunate incident, I didn't think much of it at first, honestly It didn't look serious and I felt he would return to the game at most at some point during the 2nd quarter, but I guess they chose to cautious due to nature of the game, and were still able secure the win.

Great game for him, he stepped up when it's necessary. Luka's early exit probably have chance the live betting spread, but it turns out it's just a trap after all as the Mavericks still won a game without Luka. I guess Dinwiddie needs to score at least 20 points per game to help Luka lessen the burden, because as what we've seen, we know he can do it.

Yeah, probably in the beginning, it was a decent 2.0 odds for the Mavs, but as soon as Luka got injured for sure the live betting odds might have gone up, never seen it though.

I do agree, there are some upsets and not expected win by the underdog. But this is NBA, no homecourt advantage right now and no lead is safe. Probably those teams that are under .500 are trying to make it up before the all star break so at least they will have a good record in the first half of the season and then rest and go full throttle in the next half for a playoff spot.
1389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 26, 2023, 09:00:04 PM

Ticket sales on this fight is guaranteed as they are champions and both are popular. We don't see big fight like this all the time, that's why fans are surely willing to spend money just to watch this fight whether in the venue or through PPV. They can continue throwing words against each other now as it will continue increase the value of this fight and that would help to sold out the tickets and PPV subscription.

This fight is three years in the making but for one reason to another it never happen, but now that the two fighters show eagerness
that they want to clash this year, and both promoters agreed to make this fight happen, it could not happen if Gervonta did not get out of Mayweather's promotion, because Mayweather clearly stated that they want all his fighters to fight in the house or under the same promotion, so they can protect his cash cow and make money.
Everything on Mayweather promotions are all about making money not for legacy.

For sure, I reckon that the PPV tickets could be in the $79.99 range and then the live gates, ohh, could be well in the thousands if you want to get a better look at the fight. Nevertheless, even if we are in the worst economy, for sure boxing fans are going to shell out huge money for this fight, just to witness to young lions in the ring with so much hate against each other.

And probably either is guaranteed a purse of 8 digit figures minimum + PPV sales and live gates.
1390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: We lose on the long run through return percentage on: January 26, 2023, 08:45:25 PM
Of course, that's how a casino is built, its for those suckers who want to lose their money (including myself), so we all play without thinking the numbers and the house edge. And then we complain later after we all lost to that casino.  Grin

So we should be wise as well, if we think that we have won already, no need to be greedy or something. You can't take the house and win every time.

And that's why there are also games that include skills and that's where our chances are good like Poker and sports betting and not those luck base games like slot machines.

Nice to see Anthony Davis back on the floor for the Lakers. Granted the Spurs aren’t a good measuring stick, but a win is a win. The new guy Hachimura had a good game and AD put up 21 & 12. Only a couple more weeks until LeBron breaks Kareem’s scoring record. It looks like maybe the Lakers might be firing on all cylinders by then as they look to secure a playoff spot in the second half of the season.
21-12 for AD which is a pretty good stat after him being gone for weeks because of that injury again. Well, I'm not saying "I hope he will not get injured again" blah blah because after all, it will not change the fact that AD is an all-star caliber player, but he's very fragile and injury prone player. Nevertheless, it's good to see him back like you said.

12 points in 21 minutes for Hachimura and a near triple double for Lebron James. 158 points to go until he surpasses Kareem. Westbrook didn't play that good tonight, but it's my first time to see Beverley scoring for 18 this season. I mean we know him as a great defender and not a scorer, but he stepped up and got the victory.

Having Anthony Davis on the team is obviously great. Even in today's match, it was great for the Lakers. Anthony Davis gives the team a lot of depth that they need and his performance is obviously appreciated.

Remember the game before this in which LeBron James scored 46 points? He did not have any help from the team, to be honest.

So, even after he scored 46, the team was unable to win. But in this game with the help of Anthony Davis, the team has performed a lot better, as a team actually. And they got the win against Spurs. Westbrook and Beverley also cheap in with some important points.

It's probably the quality of their opponents as well, that's why even if Lebron scored 46 points, they are still losing. But here, they are facing a low team like the Spurs, who still give them a good fight. But in the end, I believed that it was Davis presence that is the key in their victory here. Westbrook and Pat already settled in with the Lakers, they already know their role here.

I'm not sure what exciting match to watch for tonight, but I'm looking at the Mavs vs Suns. Mavs is on a losing streak and probably wanted to break into winning form against Phoenix.

Haven't seen any news on XVG in ages, does anyone know what's in store for 2023 for their platform?

Wondering with all the pressure from legislators to regulate further if Privacy coins are the future... Huh

What does the community think?

Probably this is one coin that is good in the last bull run. We have seen this kind of cycles in the past as well, that there are a lot of projects in 2017, even touted to be the ETH killer, but suddenly in the bear market, majority of them barely survived, and some has died already.

So this might be the case here, 2021 might be a good year for this project.

But after that, it will be a challenge for $XVG to stay afloat in the market because there will be new one so investors might be looking for something new to invest their money.
1393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 25, 2023, 05:27:26 PM
I am still hesitant whether Inoue will dominate the 122 lbs unless he beats Casimero.  You can win the belt but unless you beat all the possible contender, there is no way to say that a boxer dominates that weight category since there is still 1 what if that is left which cause doubt in the mind of the boxing fans.

Bantamweight and SuperBantamweight don't really have much of a big difference. Inoue has a big chance of dominating the 122 lbs.

But John Riel Casimero as a basis for it? That was a pure non-sense argument. I like our own Casimero to face Inoue in the future and will support him obviously but for him to consider a big threat to Inoue seems not appropriate. Blame their camp because Casimero wasn't able to get the chance of facing Inoue in the Bantamweight.

As I mentioned, for that Casimero to be included in the discussion again, he just needs to keep on winnings until being recognized and moved up the rankings. There are lots of tough boxers in the 122 lbs aside from Inoue and those current champions.

Precisely! there are champions from this division they are the threat to be consider once Inoue start challenging them to have that chance to unify all the belts from this division, I don't see Casimero yet as he don't have that title and his ranking is far from anyone, he can fight and there's no doubt but to earn that respect and to move his way up, he needs to fight and win more.

For now, it will be depends on who will be the camp that Bob Arum will negotiate to challenge the current belt holder.

In short, Inoue already proved himself because he managed to defeat most of the boxers at 118 lbs that's why he is not campaigning at 122 lbs to see if his prowess can still keep up with the heavy names in the stated division. But for Casimero, aside from he is starting at the bottom this time, he should get himself recognize by winning more fights before we can say that he is indeed one of the threats in the division that a champion needs to face before he will be considered as the undisputed.

Inoue clean up that division, won the world bantamweight super series, so he has nothing to proved at 118 lbs, beat everyone has all the belts. And I think in recent years, one of the best accomplished by a fighter in his own division.

Casimero is different case though, yes he become a champion but hasn't proved that much as compare to Inoue so it's going to be a different path for him in 122 lbs that he is now campaigning. He can't just go and ask any boxing bodies that he wants to fight their champion.  He had to take the different route unline Inoue.
1394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cheat the Lottery Winner on: January 25, 2023, 05:05:33 PM
Another example of why we should not trust even our blood relative when it comes to dealing with financial matters.
Money is something which can turn a brother against brother. This is why I tend to handle all my money related matters myself.
It can be anything but we should practice to do all things by ourselves.

Maybe in this case, the person really turn greedy, maybe he/she has a problem financially and thought that this is the chance to get out. But just come to think of it, that's huge money to begin with and why you should trust anyone with that kind of amount just because you wanted to remain anonymous? So I would agree that we should tend and handle all our money related, whether it's an issue that we need to settle or in this case a big lottery winner. I used to ask family members as well to withdraw money in my behalf, but the good thing is that they didn't cheat on me. But in this case, this is a bad example of family members turn bad.
1395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 23, 2023, 03:31:24 AM
Sacramento Kings are 3rd in Western Conference! Just let it sink in guys because this is a real achievement from a small team that have been working hard in silence for all this years and finally they are having a great season. This small club really deserves more as we see people are back in the court when team is playing and if we take a look 2 years ago on Sacramento games , we will have saw empty seats over empty seats but it's not the case anymore.

Even if they lost last night , they still scored 127 points without having a great defense game because hey , no one is playing defense anymore this season ...
Aside from the Pelicans which I think will be the "Dark Horse" of the league, the Kings are the ones who I didn't thought that will surprise me.

The Kings-Pacers trade that involved Sabonis and Haliburton is the first time that I see both teams benefitted from it. I mean often times, we always see trades where one team is obviously winning while the other one is losing. On this one, both teams benefitted and they are performing better than they was last season. Haliburton is leading the league right now in assists with 10.2 APG while on the other hand, Sabonis is the one who is leading in rebounds with 12.6 RPG. Both teams benefitted from the trade and now Sabonis and Haliburton are playing on their best season currently.

The Kings finally after the playoff drought has the change to enter the playoffs this season. With them at the 3rd spot, there is a high chance that they will enter. I just hope that they will perform the same or even better when the all-star game ends because I already saw some teams who played very well before the all-star game and ended up badly and performed awful after.

It's different story though when they step into the playoffs, how many of them have experience playoff atmosphere? None. so that will be a big question for the young team, how Sabonis and Fox can mixed it up facing a team in a series because as we all know it's very different.

We have seen Phoenix Sun last year, but they didn't fare well in the playoffs after becoming a 60+ game winning.

And we didn't expect that Warriors will win, in all honesty.
1396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: January 23, 2023, 02:48:18 AM
Fulton may look like a strong contender against Naoya with his sterling record, but he will still be devoured alive by the monster in his own backyard. Although this is another weight division, this move is nothing too much for Naoya.

And since Fulton is not a knockout artist, he will either be strong enough to withstand Naoya's powerful punches or dance around to last the whole fight making points. Or he will give in and fall.

Naoya is definitely the heavy favorite in this match.

Yeah, we can say that way that he is the heavy favorite with along that line of 1.40.

And I guess the rest of us here will agree that even though Fulton is tough, it's a different fighter in Inoue that he will be facing and this could not end very well with Fulton as he might face the canvass in his career and lost via knockout. He almost goes down to Brandon Figueroa's punches with no power. But with Inoue, just a single power punch or even that stiff jab could make Fulton stumble.
1397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: January 22, 2023, 04:55:52 PM

No doubt, I would still take Inoue to win. Most of the fights Inoue does not end in 12 rounds, so if you believe that Inoue will be able to use his power effectively, then most likely this fight will end early. However, we should not be too confident as Fulton is a champion and undefeated, he would not achieve that success if he is not good enough.

That's all because of his past performance and they're taking it from there as a result of his continued dominance over his past opponents, they give him a huge advantage for his upcoming fight and this will gonna be the hardest fight for the champion because he is in need of super training that would gonna be surpassed Inoue's expectation. He needs to take this underestimation as fuel for his training and do everything to prove them wrong. Also, this is his chance to be known because he will gonna automatically snatch Inoue's popularity in their current weight division.

Of course, we should give credit to Stephen Fulton, and has been the champion for the last 2 years, so no doubt that he has what it takes to be the 122 lbs champion. However, he hasn't face a boxer like Inoue, the power and the speed and the accuracy. He even has a chin that hasn't been cracked before.

So very difficult on how Fulton style and tools can upset Inoue as this point. He need to have a good strategy and not to get tag by the power of Inoue. The thing is that Inoue has power in both hands so it's hard to defend that and you can't just run because sooner or later he will be tag by either left or right.
1398  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did you sell off during the 21k price breach. on: January 22, 2023, 04:27:49 PM
And if someone sold, then it's already a lost to them. I see someone says to rebuy when the price goes down, but you have to wait for it, and for all we know we might not see the price below $20k again.

Again for those who push the sell button, it's now $22k and even reaches $23k in the last 24 hours. So it's really not good to sell in this sort of mini bull run, the price is still going up. Or better yet, just hold and be a long term investor and shorting for me is not advisable in this kind of market movement.
1399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where institution store there money to pump whole crypto market more than 5% on: January 22, 2023, 04:11:43 PM
You have to understand that crypto market is open 24x7, so regarding your question as to where they store? it's everywhere. Maybe in banks and then they are just going to withdraw and put in into crypto market for as long as they. So the money comes from everywhere as well, from wall streets, to other investors, retail and whales.

And regarding this pump, we are still very far from the bull run, we are still in the bear market so don't expect huge money to go in. Although its good to see the price going above $1 trillion marketcap now but we still have a long way to go.

Well, unforeseen things happen, and in fact that's what happened with the Jazz vs Nets game.
I confess I wasn't expecting this result... But Kyrie Irving was on fire, and practically carried the Nets to victory!

Indeed mate, I even bet in favor of the Utah Jazz because somehow I know they are much more consistent and will take advantage of the Brooklyn Nets while they are still undermanned. Unfortunately, Kyrie gave an unexpected performance and just like you've said, he practically carried the team towards a W.

I guess majority here didn't see Irving will have a good game against the Jazz, we have been waiting for him to explode in the absence of Durant, but so far none of that happen until last night, so we are all wrong.

What can you say about Tatum not playing today against the Raptors?

Will this be a trap? Although Celtics is still the favorite in this game.
