1281  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2023, Bullish or Bearish? on: March 02, 2023, 07:14:16 PM
We all have thoughts and according to the current market price i think that very soon BTC will bullish.

Observing Bitcoin's journey in previous years stated that this should have been a bullish year, the changing chart from the beginning of the year gives a sign that Bitcoin's increase will recover this year, it's just that we can't predict accurately, experience in following Bitcoin's journey can only predict according to the graph from year to year, the rest we will see the truth at the end of this year.

I don't know where you get that data, but this year, if we assumed the previous pattern, is that we are still in the bear market. And even if we see some signs of bullishness already like a huge pump in January, still though it's not enough to say that the pattern has been broken.

So don't be excited to see this kind of price increase, we are still in March and many things can happen.

The most important thing is that we should accumulate as much as we can and prepare to hold because the block halving is just around the corner.
1282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You trust Tether (USDT) Stablecoin? on: March 02, 2023, 06:58:43 PM
Unlike other stablecoins, usdt is a fairly profitable asset and provides real opportunities for keeping your funds on the blockchain.  I personally use trc20.  It also makes it easier for me to trade with ETS and cash out profitably.

I don't know what you mean by profitable since it is a "stable" coin, which mean it is pegged to 1:1 to the US Dollar. Of course, everything is on the blockchain if that is what you imply for crypto.

Personally, I wouldn't say that a trust Tether (USDT), but it is functioning as designed to yeah I'm using it in some shape or form.

And withdrawals are very quick as well, and again, if you wanted to hedge your crypto against the price going down, stable coins is the way.
1283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 02, 2023, 12:26:58 PM

Media always talk about his name he got a legendary status already and any news about him is a big scope for them since there are so many people following an update regarding on his career path. Maybe he really need to win this fight since recently he encounter those upsetting lose and maybe this win is important to him since he can get back the glory as a champ under his name again if he win this.

The dude is about to retire and having an unforgettable win just before he wears out his gloves, will be one of his happiest moments as a pro boxer. Just like any other boxer after they came from a loss, this one is no different and I'm sure he will gonna be putting everything here to give us the most exciting and entertaining fight to remember. Santiago is also lucky to have him as his opponent for that title and if he can beat him because of some lucky punches or something like that, he will still the show and become one of the most popular boxers overnight.

A good win which could leave him a gokd record will be a sign enough for him to decide about his retirement. Of course, they will not quit and retire after a bad loss because they will surely recover from it and would still ask for a rematch.
Regarding Donaire, I hope he could focus on his training now that he's having some issues with his wife and his dad. He really needs to focus after his previous defeats.

Not good to retire coming from a huge lose so I guess Donaire's camp want to get a good victory before he hang up his gloves and announce his full retirement. But as he's eagerness to get more fight it make me also think that he want more maybe just for the sake of money since getting a match give him a good pay cuts so I guess there's little part of it is for profit since he will never earn that money again if he retire.

Its like grabbing the opportunity while he can able to do it.

I think a lose will just cemented that he has to retire though? Because obviously, if he wins, it's going to be hard to retire.

Just like when Manny lost to Ugas, he says that he is done for the sports, as least professionally. So in this case, I mean we don't want Donaire to lose this fight, but everything happens for a reason and worst is, the lost might be painful but it is what it is. He might have to consider retirement and so he will not damage himself at age 40. As someone pointed out, Father time is hard to defeat.
1284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 02, 2023, 11:37:14 AM
^^ Yes, that's what the rematch says, it's up to Davis to activate it within 30 days after their initial fight. So all rematch is still on his hands, and obviously a win by him we, will not see any rematch as all.

As for the date, crypto sport bookies can just adjust it, at least their handicappers are again on point on putting Davis as the favorite in this fight. Even though both are undefeated and 0 loss, they think that Davis will have the advantage base on his resume alone.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 02, 2023, 11:10:49 AM
KD had a wonderful debut game with the Suns. He was unstoppable and could shoot from anywhere on the floor. With even a little opening, his accuracy is really high. I think the Suns will be a tough team in the playoffs. Even if they're not the favorites to win the championship, I would certainly bet on them if they have attractive odds.

The flow of basketball is very easy with Durant on the floor, which makes them unpredictable. Now, they have Durant and Booker, and of course CP3 can also score.
Classic Kevin Durant. The Phoenix Suns will be one of the teams that is difficult to defeat from now on. Even KD takes a rest, Booker will be there, then they have Warren, CP3, and Ayton. He just need someone who could space the floor more and let him do his isolation game. A very big catch by the Suns here and now they are on the discussions of a championship contender once again.
Brooklyn Nets on the other hand, (where KD came from) is unable to win another game after receiving Bridges and Johnson. 1 win in 7 games. It must be hard for them to create chemistry.

Yeah, it was the old and classic KD, shooting mid range even if someone is in front of him. And then Booker taking over the game and it was CP3 play making, dictating the tempo, Ayton too with another great rebounding night.

As for the Nets, it was always close, but then they really like melting in the 4th quarter. Maybe they got tired or something or their defense is not holding up. Unless Bridges is now on a break out as when he was transferred to the Nets, he has a good scoring average and could be potentially the new face of the Nets together with Spencer Dinwiddie and Cam Thomas.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: February 27, 2023, 01:15:38 AM
Since the only advantage Donaire has is his experience, if that is nullified then Donaire will have trouble winning the fight.

I have to disagree with that. Donaire can even be considered to still have the ability to dominate most of the bantamweights.

Santiago is nowhere near Donaire's current status even though we talked about his age. Donaire is still quick at 38 and 39 and the proof of that is how he dominates his fights at that age with both 4th-round TKO wins against Nordine Oubaali and Reymart Gaballo.

Santiago can't even pass on the Top 5 rankings at those 4 recognized boxing organizations.

I agree, I don't understand how can a boxer can nullified experience though? Every boxer has matured and more fights compared to his opponents has the advantage already no matter what.

Not unless Donaire can't pull the trigger specially his powerful left then maybe we can say that Santiago will win already.

But we have seen him beating young fighters like Gaballo and Oubaali and knocking them out.
1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: February 27, 2023, 12:59:34 AM
Yes, let's just wait if we can watch this fight without having to pay huge price, hehehe. Much better if we can used that money to bet and try to get to watch it for free from some streaming services or those who are willing to share it in social media like Facebook.
That's true. I'm sure we can find one, but we have to be prepared for a possible interruption. If it's detected, the streaming will be stopped, and then we can still look for another streamer. I have no idea how much the cost of PPV is, but if it's over $50, then I think it's too high. We can instead use that amount to bet.

Should be higher than that, probably at least $100 because the PPV price of Davis vs Hector Garcia was $74.99.
reference : https://www.billboard.com/culture/product-recommendations/gervonta-davis-vs-louis-garcia-how-to-stream-the-ppv-boxing-match-online-1235195435/

If we really want to enjoy that fight with no interruption, we need to buy PPV, as it will surely give us the experience we want. This might be the only fight between these two if there's no rematch clause, so let's not waste this opportunity if we can afford to pay.

Yes, usually the average or the most that I have seen is $79.99, so probably around this price as well if they want to reach out greater and other fans to buy their tickets. No need to make it $100.00 that will be too expensive and it could backfire on them.

Anyhow, I already said, not interesting on paying that kind of money although this is big hype fight.

But I have eyes on betting here, specially how Ryan Garcia is the underdog in this fight.
1288  Economy / Speculation / Re: The BTC deep continues for the next SIX Months. on: February 26, 2023, 09:47:22 PM
This saga of BTC price has no hope for the next Six months, the market cap has shown 70% of possibility price deepening continuing without reversing. This is because a good number of BTC has been taken from the system and no further reliable investment coming in to the system.

BTC will continues going down if the major shareholders did not turn up to increase the strength and volume of BTC  , BBC market news shows that the number of people trading bitcoin in 2020-2023 has drastically reduced compared to 2013-2015 figures, that if this continues BTC will suffer insufficient pumps.

If the system continue suffering price creeping, am afraid BTC may end up into another revolution of losses.

It seems to be that this sounds like a pure FUD on the part of the OP.

I mean everything is very happy to see the price, January 40% and higher, February, not so bad at all. And now we hear someone saying that we will go down and that there will be no buyers?

Anyway, others have refuted your logic and it has flaws, one thing I can only say is that if you have been in the market for so long, you won't be affected by this kind of loom and doom prediction here in the community.
1289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 26, 2023, 09:31:24 PM
Makabu, Ilunga - @1.52
Jack, Badou - @2.60
We don't really need a parlay as the odds are still profitable even for the favorites.

The fight is now ongoing between this two, I haven't beat on this fight as co-main event.

But so far it's very close in my opinion as of 6 although Makabu was down already in the 4th round.

Could be fitting win for Badou if he wins this fight in this comeback, and say that "he has that chance to become the first Muslim to win a title in Saudi". So let's see how the fight goes.
1290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 26, 2023, 11:58:22 AM
Denver Nuggets lost in a blowout at Memphis. Looks like the long rest affected them and they cannot find their outside shots. 0/4 3-pts for KCP which is rare considering he is 45 percent on downtown shots.
Jamal Murray also not doing well with 3/13 FG.
Tillman defended Jokic pretty well which will stop the offensive plays of the Nuggets, good work for him stepping up his game while Adams is out.
No, this is their second game already after the All-Star break. Their first game was against the Cavaliers on the road, and they won that game.

Let us not overreact. Memphis is not a bad team, so it's no surprise that they won via a dominant performance. They can even dominate on the road, so how much more when they are at home. This team is good, but it's not as consistent as the Denver Nuggets, so let's give them credit for their performance in this game. They deserve it.

It's just a bad night for the Nuggets and they were not able to bounce back after the first quarter. Interesting numbers is that they average 31 points in the first quarter alone, but against Memphis, they just scored 20.

So give credit to the Memphis team for their good defense, not just on Murray but held Jokic as well to 15 points and just 3 assist.

This is just one game though for the Nuggets, they are the top team in the West, they can surely bounce back.
1291  Economy / Economics / Re: Methods to cut food costs on: February 25, 2023, 03:26:48 PM
We don't have that kind of coupons here, so this is a big no-no for us. And i think the best is to just buy raw, everything and cook it by yourself. Or unless you have some farm, organic vegetables that you can just get and cook.

Of course sardines and bread could be cheaper though, but there could be more alternatives. Maybe you can buy poultry from time to time. You can't just eat the same food over and over again. And those sardines might not be good for our health in the long run. It should be balance though, vegetables, we need that and maybe just small portion of chicken and beef.
1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: February 25, 2023, 03:00:40 PM
^^ Yeah, should be in Vegas for that week and it will be huge for the city again as gamblers are going to flock on the city and probably there will be whales along the way to put a bet on this fight and play on casinos as well.

Davis still the huge favorite here, as I have initially, imagine what will be store for us if this two finally do their weigh in and face off. For sure as their is animosity between this two, there will be a lot of bad mouthing and hearing expletive words in the press conference.

I think the OP has to change the date on the thread title. Instead of May, they should put April 2023, as that's the official month when this fight is going to happen. Since this is a big fight, there will surely be a huge limit on it, and both whales and typical bettors will certainly watch this fight. However, since I cannot go, I will just buy the PPV and bet live. I will still be entertained, I guess.

Oh ok, I initially thought that April-May is not feasible but I guess both camps are really eager to make this fight as early as April. And yes, gambling capital is the best bet for this fight to take place, win win for both Ryan and Tank as both of their fans can travel to watch the fight.

Definitely, if you buy the PPV for sure you will enjoy it, there could be under cards that is great to watch. Upcoming fighters that wanted to make a name for themselves. So change in the odds, Davis still the betting favorite.

If you want to do some free streaming, there are certainly plenty of illegal options, but they might not provide the best experience. So, it's okay to spend a bit on PPV. Watch it with your friends and family, and don't forget to place a bet on this specific fight. As for the undercards, I don't know who will be fighting, but they add value to the event, and I will certainly still watch them.

To be honest, I wouldn't pay to watch this fight, I think you can get this fight for "free".

Yes, we really haven't heard about the undercard, but for sure if could include GBP and PBC boxers, those that are about to break boundaries in their career. And to make this fight exciting, for sure, everyone of us here, boxing enthusiast will bet on this fight.

Davis the big favorite, but not going to be an easy fight as Garcia is fast and long and powerful as him specially the left hook.
1293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 25, 2023, 12:44:41 PM
Westbrook though, he got a pretty decent stats in the game today even if he's still adjusting to the team. He got 17 points with a 53.8% FG and 1/4 3PA which is 25% beyond the arc. Like as expected, he's just there to open up a spot for the main guys but he's not really restricted to shoot the ball whenever he got an opening.

Overall, he did a great job. The problem with the Clippers is their defense. Imagine, they allowed the Kings to score 176 points in double overtime. I mean, if there was good defense, no way a team would reach even 150 points in two overtimes. I guess they need to carefully look at their defense as that has been their problem so far, in my opinion.

They did score huge though,  but WB fouled out in the game and they let the Kings escape this one at their homecourt. Internet though exploded again as blaming WB for the lost and for them the Clippers is doom and cursed.  Grin

But this is not WB's team, it's Kawhi and Paul George and they are the one going to carry this team.

WB is just one piece of the puzzle that should fit in perfectly in their rotation.
1294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: February 25, 2023, 12:10:35 PM
Unfortunately you might not heard of Mike Tyson upset to Buster Douglas. Later on we found out that Tyson didn't do his training very well, he didn't take it seriously and Buster Douglas was like 40:1 underdog during that fight.

So that is big lessons for boxers after that fight, that even the great Mike Tyson will fall for that kind of mentality against a inferior boxer.

https://www.marca.com/en/boxing/2021/02/18/602ed45fe2704e93638b4623.html

Quote
"All I was interested in then was partying and having sex.

"I didn't consider Douglas as a great challenge. I didn't even bother to watch his fights. I had easily beaten everyone who had knocked him out.

"Besides having sex with the maids, I was seeing this young Japanese woman with whom I had had sex the last time I went to Japan.

"The day before the fight I had sex with two maids at the same time. Then two more girls the night before the fight. I think I lost most of the weight by having sex with Japanese women."

But Donaire is different. He doesn't have the personality of Mike Tyson, who was into drugs. The way I see Donaire, he is a serious man who puts a lot of hard work into his passion. So, if he loses this fight, it won't be because he didn't train hard. It will be because Santiago came out as the better fighter on the fight night.

Discipline and hard work, that makes Donaire one of the best of his generation. Remember that he has a brother as well but it turns out to be very different for Glen.

But for Nonito, for sure he has to work very hard in his career specially during his prime as he beat a lot of great boxers in that era and become a champion and up to know still fighting at age 40. So we can say that he is a work or art.
1295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad feeling like a bomb is gonna go off on: February 24, 2023, 09:48:03 PM
We do have an idea when the price of bitcoin might increase and that's after the halving. And as we approach to the next halving by 2024, that's giving the idea of what everyone must do and that's the usual thought we say for everyone is to accumulate.
Sometimes our feelings are invalid but many times if you think that it's valid, follow the idea and thoughts that you might encounter as you decide whether to just watch the market, buy or even sell.
The market will not wait until the halving and we will see some positive movements pretty soon. Let bitcoin cross the resistance at $25k and show a strong hold on to it and then we will see it rallying toward $30k pretty soon after it. But for that, it will need to go over $25k and hold its position.

I'm afraid if it drops below $22k, we might also see it dropping way below $20k as well and then it will be more difficult for it and will take some time to gain momentum again to go across the hurdles it has in the way.

Right now it's just above $23,100, not sure what news really negated all our bullish signs when we touch $25k this month. It's seems though that is the barrier that we need to break and unfortunately, we didn't get to that point in February.

But still we have several days, maybe at the start of the week we can regain back what we have lost and stay above in the highs of $24k.

So yeah, nothing to be afraid of this suddenly price drop, maybe just another correction.
1296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: February 24, 2023, 09:32:24 PM
Reinstated by the WBC, Conor Benn immediately goes after Errol Spence Jr

His future with Errol Spence is not yet in the horizon as the latter already a fight that would likely happen in April, no date yet as of now, but both camps already got themselves a fight because this is a mandatory defense fight for Spence. But the twist is, he got his own way make Al Haymon influence the governing body to make the fight happen at 154 where he got no belts at all yet it's still labeled as mandatory defense.

If there is someone that Conor Benn should target, it's be his domestic rival Eubank Jr. They supposedly to fight, until Benn was supposedly caught with PEDs. And so that fight is cancelled and they look for Liam Smith as a replacement. Unfortunately, Smith knockout Eubank.

Conor Benn is a decent boxer with nice record while having a 60+ percent KO ratio. But his campaign to make a fight with Errol Spence might not come into fruition as it's already widely speculated that sooner, he will vacate his belts at 147.

Benn is a 154 lbs, unless Spence will really stick to this division, they might fight in the future.

Or maybe Spence will still be at 147 lbs because he has unfinished business there.
1297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 24, 2023, 09:16:55 PM
Maybe it's time for that Westbrook "thing-y" to move on I guess?
I just want to ask a question regarding the Westbrook's previous team, the Lakers.

With only 23 games remaining, and with their better roster now compare to where it was before trade deadline, do you think that the Lakers will clinch the playoffs this regular season? What is the ceiling for this new Lakers roster this season?

I mean they have a chance. They are on the 13th seed right now, but the are only 5 games behind the 4th seeded Clippers. That's how tight the Western Conference right now. This is the tightest competition that I've ever seen in the Western Conference.  For me, I see them clinching to a play-in spot and the highest that they might probably get is the 8th seed.

I hope the Lakers can improve their place in the standings before the end of the regular season. At the least, they still have time to get into the play-in tournament because they have the same number of wins as the Thunder, who are currently in 11th place in the Western Conference standings. The only thing I'm worried about is Russell's injury. It will be a fiasco for the Lakers if he misses a lot of games due to injury.

Yeah, I am hoping too that they could win 80% of their remaining games to secure a spot in the play-in or better yet in the playoffs. They were actually playing pretty good, they've got consistency with their offense and defense, it was definitely an upgrade for the Lakers seeing their last 3 games.
Russell's injury wasn't that bad (that's what I've seen in an article posted in the social media) so he'll be back in the next couple of games.

Oh so Russell got injured in this game? I wasn't able to watch the full game but some highlights and I saw him give someone a lob pass and it was perfect. But suddenly got confused on the minutes he played and the points he scored.

But I do agree, it was a huge upgrade, everyone is contributing whether in defense and offense.

The game that caught my attention though is the Jazz vs Thunder games, crazy ending. Utah winning in OT.
1298  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Btc get to $12k or $10k on: February 24, 2023, 01:57:18 PM
All the callers, saying Bitcoin will get to $12k $10k or below, we haven't see $14k so far, is $15.4k the last bottom for btc or we are still going to see more dump??

this should be a mini pump
because Btc is resting at a critical supply zone. If it breaks and close above it, we may not see 12k. If not 12k here we come
You know that we have a lot of speculations going around, someone will come up now and portray it's observation or feelings over Bitcoin increments without any proof, right now i can say that Bitcoin will get to twelve thousand (12k) without no evidence or below twelve thousand and many people will believe me. so therefore speculation is something that is taking over Bitcoin price, and it's obvious that almost all the speculations have no fact. So nothing all prediction you will believe.

Yes, we can all form our speculation, but it seems the consensus is like $12k be the lowest, but we don't know when it's going to happen or if it will actually happen this year.

But nevertheless, we keep that speculation on our mind, if we hit that price then obviously, it's the best opportunity again to buy cheap bitcoins. If it didn't happen, then good for us. The lesson here though is that to continue to accumulate, regardless of what will be the price.
1299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy BNB now? on: February 23, 2023, 09:27:42 PM
Hi guys, Is it too late now to buy BNB? Or can we expect huge price drop in this year?

It has the potential, but we don't know how big the price in the future or will still be dropping this year so that we can continue to accumulate. Although technically we are still in the bear market, so if you really wanted to invest on BNB then why not?

DCA is the best thing to do, we still have a year before the bitcoin halving (an event that triggers bull run), so maybe in that span of 12 months, you can accumulate and be ready for the next bull run and new all time high. So best of luck!!.
1300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: February 23, 2023, 03:49:03 PM
For the latest odds, Caleb Plant is the underdog,

And so it seems that Benavidez power is the overwhelming reasons why he is big favorite, as for Caleb 3:1 underdog good already for a ML bet. I will agree with the odds maker, gonna be hard for Caleb to score a win against a hard hitting David Benavidez who has one mission, to have a fight with Canelo Alvarez in the future.

Plant might win some rounds in the beginning because of his experience hehe. However yes, very much similar to Canelo, it will be Benavidez's strength and his physical presence that will cause him to win this fight. It can also be argued that Benavidez has more strength and physical presence than Canelo.

True, David Benavidez is the bigger and way more stronger that Caleb Plant. There is an interview on one of Benavidez sparring partner and his prediction is that the fight will be a 5 rounder. I forget the name of the kid, he is still young though and has been David's main sparring partner for the last 4 or 5 fights of his according to Sr.

In any case it appears that much of the voters have the correct vote. Benavidez by technical knockout or knockout. What round does everyone predict for the knockout?

So if we are going to listen to his sparring partner, the fight is not going to last for full 12 rounds. And the under 10.5 is 1.76 as per Sportsbet.io. It might not be good odds though for some of us.
