441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Reymart Gaballo WBO Bantamweight Title (May 12) on: February 29, 2024, 11:21:20 AM
A lot are rooting for Gaballo to pull an upset and bring home a title for the country. I for one is also hoping for an upset but I always vote what my mind says. I say Gaballo only has a punchers chance here. Moloney is capable of scoring a knockout too but he also has decent skills while he is already fighting at home and is also the defending champion. Gaballo is used to winning by knockout and is only fighting once a year since suffering his first defeat at the hands of Donaire and he might gassed out in the later rounds if he cannot knockout Moloney in the first half.

It's true, we will support our Filipino boxers no matter what, but if we will decide without emotions, I think some of us here are going to vote or bet on Moloney. Although I think Moloney has been in some crazy wars, I think he might still pull the trigger and will destroy our very own Gaballo. But it's going to be a war, I don't see Gaballo easily giving up his dreams unless it will be a body shot that he can't recover.

So he will be looking for a early knockout, but he should be ready for a grueling 12 round fight if necessary and training to have a lot of gas tank that can last him the full distance. If he faded in the latter rounds after dominating Moloney early, it will be a tough lost for him.

OKC -10... let's keep them rolling.
Pelicans -3..NYK back to back, pelicans fresh pa.
Dallas +4.5
Hawks -2... bad road team ang Jazz.

Galing, lahat yan panalo.

5. Denver -7.5

Sabay parin ako sa swerte mo,

Dallas over Raptors -2.5 @1.79.

^^David Benavidez has move on from chasing Canelo at least for this May or this year. He decided to move up in Light Heavyweight and I think it's a good decision. He is tall and even at 175 lbs, I think he will still be as fast and a more heavier fighter.

And obviously, if he wins this fight, he will be facing the winner of the Beterbiev vs Bivol fight.

So after that unification fight, either one of them will have to face the Mexican Monster next. And Benavidez can go back to 168 lbs if he wants to so he is still open for a Canelo fight, but the decision is beyond his control. WBC PBC can't force Canelo right now to fight him. Obviously, he is out of PBC by now and be fighting a lesser opponent next in Berlanga.
444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 29, 2024, 10:07:33 AM
Someone has to step up in the absence of Joel, we have seen Maxey do that in the early part. But I guess he is not that consistent as well, not enough experience to lead a team. But it's good that he has been given the chance as he will definitely the new face of the franchise in the future.

They are going to face the lead leading Boston Celtics, it's hard to see the Celtics losing this one, just saying. They are almost 6:1 underdog and the initial handicap line is -10.5. So that's how bookies see the Sixers and it means it's going to be very difficult for them to win.
Yes this is true! Maxey is not yet ready to lead a team, he's still 23 years old, but he has a promising future ahead of him. As expected, the Sixers lost to the Celtics, but Maxey had an excellent performance and scored 32 points.
I believe that in the game against the Hornets, the Sixers can win and Maxey can have excellent performance again.

And just like that, the Celtics beat the Sixers, 18 points and again, they are lead by the best 1-2 right now in the NBA, Tatum and Brown who combined for 60 points. Not just the Sixers, but the Celtics are dominating this season and it's really hard to see why Tatum is not in the MVP race or discussion.

They are hard to beat with this kind of game, with KP also playing like a version of his New York Knicks days. On the other hand, and when I say that I'm done with the Bulls they win in OT against, the Cavs.
445  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we see BTC at ATH before the year ends? on: February 28, 2024, 09:25:40 PM
I've watched BTC go from 23k to 52800 currently and with reports stating BTC outflows from exchanges rising to 8months HIGH, do you think BTC will hit ATH this year?
https://coinmarketcap.com/community/articles/65db377c13c6094f48999ba4/
With the way bitcoin performed today, I can honestly say that the chances of bitcoin reaching its previous all time high and crossing above it in a few days from now is very high, this is no longer a matter a of this year ending, like you would agree with me, this year is still very young and bitcoin is already at $60,000 dollars, if the momentum continues like this in the coming days, weeks and months, we may like see bitcoin trading above $70,000 even before half of this year, or possibly before the halving even takes place.
All the same, fingers crossed for exciting times ahead.

Yes, we are above $60k, it was not surprised though, the bulls are back and keep on pushing for a higher price for this year, or at least pre-halving. So our previous all time high are within reach in the next month or so and maybe we will surpassed it.

So exciting time again to all of us. And that's the nature of bitcoin, it's cyclical, we just need to have a lot of patience because we all know that sooner or later we will see this bull run and so that's what is happening right now. So best of luck, six digits will be our ultimate target here.

While it is clear that Canelo at this stage of his career is trying to cherry pick, PBC also has no money and has no network backing capable of guaranteeing a huge purse. And if PBC wanted Mungia, that's a GBP fighter. DAZN is the network of GBP and it has a case to just steal Canelo from PBC and bring him back to the network probably via Matchroom.

For me, the corrupt WBC under the leadership of Mauricio is to be blamed. It's playing games and is trying to convince the casuals that it is reliable. It's simple, just issue a deadline for both Canelo and Benavidez to reach a deal. If there is no deal then issue a date for the purse bid and if Canelo is not participating then simply strip him of the title. End of story.

True, and as this point of Canelo's career, David Benavidez is a bad stylistic match up for Canelo and that's why he and his camp chooses not to fight the bigger and hungrier and has power, not just volume punching like Bivol, but has true power that can break Canelo's chin and that's why they have to avoid him like a plague, hehehe.

So I think the risk free journey for him is Berlanga, Munguia is a Oscar Dela Hoya fighter so there could be issues with the negotiation and so there could a complicated one specially purse split and network offer.
448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 28, 2024, 08:26:21 PM
Just wanted to share something that I find insanely amusing, sad and depressing all rolled in to one.  The Chicago Bulls have the #1 attendance this year (and many others) over all other teams...the Chicago freaking Bulls.  When a team does poorly due to lack of proper ownership...STOP supporting them.  I won't even turn a game on via the TV.  When they have turn outs like they do, make more and more money each year...where's the incentive for the owner to go out and spend money.

I'm also done betting on the Bulls going forward due to this. Only against.  That doesn't change any of the above, but I simply don't want to do anything in favor of the Bulls until they decide to legit build a team.  You guys feel the same way?  Does it effect your gambling habits ?

I think I'm one of those who commented early that I will stop betting on them because they are very inconsistent. There are games that they are playing against a low team and yet they have a difficult time taking the dub or even lost.

That's why I don't bet on them specially handicap, because chances are, they are going to collapse and even lost that game. So it's really hard for bettors to go on that same scenario over and over again and lost betting on the same team like the Bulls. So it's better to stop and bet on other teams.
449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Support, do not criticize. on: February 28, 2024, 08:12:00 PM
If you know anybody trying to stop the addiction of gambling to become better for themselves and their family, try and show them support by not criticizing them. If you observe that they experience some kind of relapse and go back to gamble even when they said they were not going to gamble, try to encourage them to remember why they wanted to stop gambling for the time. It is not an easy decision for some of them to make, and even imagining that they will never gamble again can make it worse for them, most of them need all the support they can get to help them maintain the decision to give gambling some time away. If you criticize and mock them, they may nurse in the heart the mindset that gambling is impossible to stop, or even stop trying to stop gambling because you have already made them feel like they can never do it.

I don't see anyone criticizing a addict trying to stop gambling here. Even in real life when I here someone trying to quit, I will definitely support it. Not just gambling addiction, anything that is bad and that affected that I known, I will be on their side and praying that they can overcome it.

And we all know what is going on behind, if we ourselves have gone on that same path before and we did recover. It's going to be very difficult and they should get the support and not to mock them, but to help them in every way we can.

451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 27, 2024, 12:07:17 PM
I guess it's kind of expected that the Sixers will have a hard time getting those wins because Embiid is out for at least 2 months because of that injury. It's almost the same as the Nets when they had KD and Kyrie a few years ago. At one point, they were at the top, and when both of them got injured, they just got loss after loss until they went down to the bottom 4.

I'm not saying that the Sixers will experience the same, but they relied too much on Embiid in terms of offense that they forgot to shoot already. Too much exaggeration in that sentence, but what I mean is that no one can step on the team offensively. Not even Tobias Harris which is their supposed 2nd option on offense.

The Sixers are 3-7 in their last 10 games, and their next 5 games are kind of easy at least. They will be up against the Nets, Magic, Pistons, Spurs, Grizzlies. I just hope that they can rack up some wins now that Embiid is still out.
The difference that Embiid makes on the team is clear, but I confess that some players for example, Maxey, Oubre Jr., Hield and others has been performing well , but it is not necessary to reduce the difference that the Sixers are having in the last 10 games (3-7).
I confess that I was surprised by the performance of the Philadelphia 76ers playing against the Cavaliers, there were two games and in those games the Sixers beat the Cavs.
I'll be curious to see the Sixers vs Celtics game at TD Garden today.

Someone has to step up in the absence of Joel, we have seen Maxey do that in the early part. But I guess he is not that consistent as well, not enough experience to lead a team. But it's good that he has been given the chance as he will definitely the new face of the franchise in the future.

What started as a rumor is now being confirmed by ESPN. Canelo is leaving PBC. Canelo was insisting on fighting Jermall Charlo but PBC wanted a better quality opponent. It is likely Canelo will go back to DAZN, where he will be safe from Benavidez and fight softer opposition like Munguia and Berlanga.

And here's the news,

https://twitter.com/MikeCoppinger/status/1762137052517200225

And that's what we thought, he went to TV Azteca in Mexico and everyone is glued to their TV waiting for announcement as who is his next opponent. So no Mexican for him, hehehe, so Munguia and Benavidez is not in the sweepstakes. So it just leave Charlo for Canelo, good money, have some storyline, but we fans are not sold to it. And perhaps PBC is pressuring Canelo to fight Benavidez, but then again, huge risk and partly because I think Canelo doesn't want Benavidez to be the next Mexican superstar.

Ako naman, 2 out of 3, sumablay ako sa Suns, same pala tayo ng pick. As usual, bawi bawi nalang naman yan, kaya bawi tayo bukas. 3 games lang, mas mabuti konte lang iisipin.

Kosei Tanaka vs. Christian Bacasegua Rangel for the WBO super flyweight title next.

Interesting development,

https://twitter.com/RyanGarcia/status/1761166060751929635

Ryan says that his fight should be in Vegas and obviously he is against the fight going into Barclays center. Hmm, I smell something here, does it mean that he is going to pull from the fight because the venue doesn't suit him the best?

But I do agree though, there is no tax in Vegas as far as I know and it's all about the gambling and the money that it can generate because of this said fight.
457  Other / Off-topic / Re: Before you start gambling, do some research first on: February 23, 2024, 09:12:35 PM
For your friend to be still working and have nothing to show for it, is that not enough lesson for him to learn? What other lesson would he learn, if not to reason and ask himself the question of what ''has he achieved from gambling" and what has he been using his hard job money for, that makes him unable to afford certain things for himself that he is supposed to, as someone who works?

As humans, there are questions someone would ask you, and you will begin to rethink your whole situation of why you haven't been progressing in life.

Your friend shouldn't be like, there is nothing to be done about his situation. He is supposed to feel pained and work towards finding means to save himself from addiction to gambling. Someone can't identify his or her problem and let it slide without fighting to overcome it by all means available to them.

Of course when a gambler does not research a casino first there is often a problem in the end that the gambler does not know he has the problem. That's what often happens to complaining gamblers, then when the casino management investigates it will be discovered that the problem lies with the casino gamblers.

Because they don't know the policy in gambling casinos first and it's important to know that first so that just in case there's a problem, there's something to hold on to.

For online casinos, yeah, definitely we will have to make a research, or even just look for the advise of the community as to what online based crypto platform we are going to used so that we will not be scammed. But for traditional based, I don't think that there will be research needed. I mean majority of them that are competing are already established casinos already.

And as far as our budget and money management, definitely just play the money that you can afford to lose. Prioritized things in your life before getting your hand in gambling and just enjoy and don't be emotional so that you won't fall for the addiction.
458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis - Frank Martin WBA Lightweight Title Date to be announce on: February 23, 2024, 08:54:28 PM
Yes, I did mentioned this fight in this thread. I'm also seeing Tank Davis will be the favorite here and beating Frank Martin by knockout.

He was probably advise not to fight Shakur that time and wait for this bigger fight and obviously the paycheck that will come with it. Tank Davis though is taking the time to clean up this division, he is part of the supposedly 4 kings of this division, however 3 of them have gone up already to 140 lbs and 2 of  them have become a champion already. So Tank needs to aggressively fight the best hear and unify the belt and not just protect his record.

Fight fans, here are the official weigh-in video for this fight,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAWSjmCFqSY

Although it seems that Ancajas has a problem making weight as he needs to strip naked.

I don't know what to take though base on their body language, Inoue looks weight drain by sharp but Ancajas has still some body fats but still make the weight.

Santiago vs Nakatani though might be a good fight as well to watch here.

I think that's good enough for Ancajas, before when he is in a weigh-in, you can clearly see his jaw, meaning he doesn't have enough water in his body or that he really drained himself just to make that weight.

Same could be said here, but at least he was able to make the weight and his body is not that drained as compared to Inoue. And then have a full day to rehydrate everything. I still will put my money on Jerwin Ancajas here and I'm going to take a risk with no less than a knockout victory. Odds is 6.0 for that and fight not going to distance at 4.x.
