1381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 13, 2023, 10:46:55 PM
I just read a report that Andrew Wiggins is expected to play in game 1 of the Kings vs Warriors matchup. This has got to be great news for Warriors fans. Wiggins is a big reason behind their last playoff run as he became a defensive specialist in the playoffs. Things are seemingly coming together at the right time for the Warriors. I hope Wiggins kept in shape during his absence.
Yeah, saw that news and that's why many Warriors fans are blowing up with the first match against the Kings. It was also exposed why he's been absent for a long time and it's personal to take care of his father.
I missed watching him inside the court and those that have bought tickets that are quite expensive and is historical for this match for game 1 is going to be worth it.

True, that's why when the Warriors announcement that Wiggins is not going to play at the regular season, then we know what it means already. That if they make the playoff then definitely he will go and play. He is still one piece of the equation for the Warriors. So they are back with full strength this playoff, with Curry, Thompson, Looney, Green and Wiggins at starting five. And then they have Poole, DiVincenzo and Payton to come-in. And then the 3rd unit will include Moody, Jerome and JaMychal Green, so that is very deep in rotation for them, healthy 100%. With that, it's going to be a fun and exciting series with the Kings, they don't have the advantage in this series, but they have been in this kind of situation before, they are still one of the most dangerous teams outside despite their sixth position. It's hard to beat that championship DNA with the likes of Steph, Klay and Draymond.
1382  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 13, 2023, 10:23:31 PM
Most are starting to believe the bear market is over and it's time for the bulls.
I'm sure there are also those who don't want this situation to happen because they haven't had the chance to own Bitcoin at a bear time.
But it will not affect the current price support.

What do you mean? they have the chance to own Bitcoin, if and only if they do DCA and bought when when we are less than $20k. There are a lot of opportunities for us to get in around this price. Remember that we have two lowest lows for that year, and the last is around $15,500. But the problem is that there are investors who are likely waiting for the price to hit around $10k-$12k. They are hoping that the price will still go down hard and wait for that opportunity that eventually didn't happen. But who knows, maybe there will be one final crash, but I'm not seeing it going to $10k though.

We need to pay close attention to the second week's closing price. If it gets past $31K then I believe $40K is a good price this April.

The resistance now is $30,500 and if we can break, then another bullish structure will form. And we all know that it takes a couple of times before we can break that resistance, and it's not a one time test. So we will have to wait, just like when majority says that $30k will be broken in March, it takes at least 12 days before we can finally break it and sustain that run.
1383  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bybit P2P Exchange Scam Modus on: April 12, 2023, 07:09:30 AM
I have the same experienced with the OP and I share it in our local boards: {Babala}: Mag-ingat sa P2P trading.

In my case, I didn't get any SMS that I already got the money in my account. But the buyer insisted that she has send it already on my account and as if I'm the own who has problems and pressuring me to released the funds right away. And the thing is that she has the audacity to ask for the support because I didn't released any. But in the end she didn't give any proof that she sent me the funds so my order was cancelled and my funds back to my account in less than 24 hours. So yes, be very very careful dealing with anyone in P2P not just in Bybit, but also in Binance because I know someone who has been victimized as well. And as you can see, the message that you got is almost the same from what I got, maybe the same people?

Might as well be good if you can go to our local boards and post your experienced @OP?

* Another lesson learned is that if the buyer is offering too high, as compare to others, then most likely it's too good to be true.

* Also you can check the history as well to see how many trades that individual has done in the past, if it is less than 10, then the account is fairly new (which happens to me), so most likely going to pull a scam.
1384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: April 11, 2023, 10:13:14 PM
I'm locking this thread, in summary,

- Stevenson won by technical knockout in round six rounds, as the referee stop the fight as Yoshino is not throwing enough puncher
- With this, Shakur has officially arrived at 135 lbs, taking that 0 from Yoshino
- This is a title eliminator, so Shakur will face the winner of Loma vs Haney at least for the WBC belt next

Congrats to those who win their bet on Shakur winning by knockout/technical knockout and rounds under 7.5.

And thanks to those who posted and keep this thread with their predictions.

Please correct me if I am wrong
Even in today's modern world, except for a few people in Europe-America, the general public of the entire world does not have a proper understanding of Bitcoin. Sad Sad Except European-American, anyone who have a little idea about Bitcoin also have misconceptions. Due to this problem, many people are unable to invest in a great platform like Bitcoin even if they want to. This problem may not seem like a big deal to many, but think about third world countries. A sad reality is, in my country 80-90% of the population are not familiar with Bitcoin.
Is there any way to solve this problem?
[/quote]

But I don't think that is a draw back though, for sure some of us here in the beginning don't have a clue on what Bitcoin is, at least in my case. I've known or cross path about it years ago, but didn't take the full time to learn it until 2017. I'm not sure what misconceptions you are talking about illicit activities, this is just one report from Europol,

Quote
The use of cryptocurrency as part of criminal schemes is increasing and the uptake of this payment medium accelerating. However, the overall number and value of cryptocurrency transactions related to criminal activities still represents only a limited share of the criminal economy when compared to cash and other forms of transactions.

https://www.europol.europa.eu/cms/sites/default/files/documents/Europol%20Spotlight%20-%20Cryptocurrencies%20-%20Tracing%20the%20evolution%20of%20criminal%20finances.pdf

On the contrary, if we are talking about 3rd world countries, I may have to disagree with you, as you can see in another report, The 2022 Global Crypto Adoption Index Top 20, most of them are either developing or underdeveloped countries.

There are a couple of threads about this topic:

1387  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How to close a crypto exchange easily on: April 11, 2023, 06:37:34 PM
1 charge and the exchange is closed. Small exchanges do not have the opportunity and money for litigation. All exchanges have the same violations, keeping money on any exchange is a risk, especially on a small exchange.

Small to mid-tier exchange, yeah, it seems that they doesn't have any chance against this government institutions and the first move was to shut down it's business. That's why it's not good to leave our assets in some obscure exchanges.

@all - what do you think about the SEC vs Coinbase, their is a potential litigation as SEC already send a "Wells notice" against Coinbase. So obviously they are the next exchange that they are going after, and it's a big fish. I'm not seeing Coinbase though going without a fight here like Beaxy Digital Ltd. Chances are, they will go to court and drag this case.

https://www.coinbase.com/blog/we-asked-the-sec-for-reasonable-crypto-rules-for-americans-we-got-legal
1388  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase vs SEC on: April 10, 2023, 11:30:11 PM
Only an agreement between the two parties is the best outcome. Because if the SEC loses, they will also find other reasons to continue attacking exchanges or even the entire crypto industry. Even if XRP wins, Coinbase or Binance win, they will all continue to be in trouble in the future, the SEC and CFTC will certainly not ignore it.

Not only the US government but other governments will also soon do the same because what they are aiming for is money. All recent allegations are civil lawsuits, and as long as the exchanges agree and strictly comply with the fine payment, everything will be over.

It's not only about money, but it's also about control. The US government will continue to tighten regulations just to put crypto under control. They don't want it to replace the US Dollar after all. I have no problem with regulations as long as they don't limit the growth of the crypto/Blockchain industry. Too much regulations will only scare away crypto companies, startups, and even exchanges in the long run.

Yeah, but just the same, if you have money then you have control, and that's what the US government is trying to prevent from happening. Because this exchanges are growing big by the day, meaning fiat is flowing on exchanges, so they have to stop because they want people to put their money on banks, in which the government has control.

Let's hope the US government and the crypto industry work together for the benefit of all. Maybe there's light at the end of the tunnel? Just my opinion Smiley

I don't think there will be like some consensus or middle ground between US government and crypto. It's either they let it flow normally, or not. The problem is that they are selectively targeting exchanges now, Binance, Coinbase and even Kraken.

And so this lawsuit might set a precedence, gonna be a uphill battle for those exchanges, but if they win (chances are slim), it's going to be big for crypto industry.
1389  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin breaking the biggest limit since match price push on: April 10, 2023, 11:15:31 PM
$29600 as of writing now.

While there were some positive actions that can be seen to bitcoin and the push that has been made just now. I still see some of those predictions from outside the forum that they're still waiting for $10k.

If they continue to wait, then they are going to lost their battle, because the chances are slim for bitcoin to hit $10k, in my opinion. We may have seen the lowest low for all we know for this bear cycle. And we have been trading sideways for the last 10 days, and now there is a big uptick in the price, and we might see $30k for this month or even higher if this bullish sentiments and FOMO continue.

As for the CPI report, speculators are hinting that the Fed will end it's series of interest rate hike.

If this is the case, the most likely, Bitcoin and the rest of traditional market is going to really because of this positive news.
1390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in times of danger. on: April 10, 2023, 12:47:28 PM
I had been hoarding some bitcoins for a long time. But today I was forced to sell that bitcoin for family needs.

You made the right decision, I have been in that situation already and I don't regret selling my bitcoin because a family member need money for his hospital bills. We are still a year from the bitcoin bull run, so you still have a lot of time to start from scratch again. If you have done it before, then definitely you can do it again.

Tried a lot but could not manage the required money. Maybe nearing a bull market I sold my bitcoins. I am having a lot of trouble selling this bitcoin I have built up over the years. I am grateful to this bitcoin forum because if it wasn't for this bitcoin forum today I might not have found a solution to my need.

Again, as I said, you don't need to feel bad about it, just think of it as another lesson. And bitcoin investment is a journey and there are times that you need to sell them. The most important thing is that you help your family from the bitcoin that you have sold. It's difficult to make that decision, however, that is the right thing to do so don't feel remorseful.

In other news, Rudy Gobert punched a teammate in a timeout today. I wonder what will happen now since they have their important game against the Lakers for the number 7 spot. In a normal situation he would be suspended for sure but now I’m not sure they will do it with such a big game coming up.

Yeah, here is the video of the scuffle,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrmi1D6qTvU

I don't know, it seems that everyone is frustrated in this game, and with Rudy's performance? emotions are going to run high, and everyone is going to point out fingers amongst this players. And he was sent home in the middle of the game and the management said that they are going to deal with this issues privately. So it might be the Rudy will get suspended, although it was also reported that Rudy already apologizes to the team in their group chat. And that as grown men, they should move on and then just think of the team. He will be very important against the Lakers in their play-in, so I speculate that he will still going to play.
1393  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your take on the price? on: April 09, 2023, 11:45:25 PM
In the world of crypto, it occasionally occurs that you acquire bitcoin at a high price and afterward wish you hadn't.

Such an occurrence has happened to me before. investing in an altcoin, not bitcoin. I hurriedly invested since I believed the altcoin I had in mind will skyrocket in value soon and I didn't want to miss it before it happened. I invested in it, and in the coming weeks, its price significantly dropped. I felt horrible about it, but I have to be decent and act normal because the bull run is coming.

Bitcoin investment works in this way; you can never predict when it will be cheap enough to invest in. The best and only thing you can do is invest money you can afford to lose and wait patiently for your investment to pay off.

Yeah, just like when we don't have the opportunity to accumulate when the price is less than $1k. I was here already when I see the price in the $700-$900 six years ago prior to the all time high of $19k++ in 2017. And then we have another opportunity in 2020, when it goes down hard because of the pandemic news and all of it's Covid-19 scare, at $3k++.

So that will be the norm, or will have the same kind of fate last year, it was sub $20k, and hopefully there are investors who jump on that opportunity to accumulate because that price might not be available to us again. And with that, we should prepare, at least the price of today at $28k could still be in the middle grounds as a good price to enter. Again this kind of opportunity will not present itself and we can only look back at those opportunities that we didn't take advantage of because we think that the price is too expensive to us.
1394  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: sinbad-mixer.io is this a clone site? on: April 09, 2023, 11:24:31 PM
I try to look at this homoglyph or typo squatting, the first attack is this website:

Code:
https://simbad.io

So if by chance, you go to your web browsers type and made the mistake or entering "m" instead of "n" you will be redirected to this fake website.

Code:

So yes, this is very dangerous as anyone can fall for this trick if they are not careful enough to check the links or make the big mistake will searching for it in Google.
1395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Take good care of yourselves on: April 09, 2023, 11:04:04 PM
Lol, having many Bitcoin and still being unhealthy is a very ridiculous act from anybody.you should make sure you are healthy don't forget  ''Good health is better than riches" how would it sound if you make all the money in this life and die before even having a taste of it???  Yea that sounds very stupid of a person.

"Health comes first", and with that even if you have all the money in the world, and if you become sick because of your lifestyle, not even BTC can save you. I think what the OP is trying to point out is that it's good to save and have bitcoin and make profits out of it, but we all should understand priorities in life. That there is more important things that we need to take care of like our health, or help someone in our families financially if they are suffering from health issues.

If you have to spend your Bitcoin to stay alive, do spend it, you will get another.

Yeah, still doing since since day 1, used my bitcoin on whichever way I want, pay my bills, from credit card to internet. Exchange it to cash most of the time if I needed to buy some stuff. And then obviously, I used my crypto to gamble.

If you have to spend your Bitcoin to save a life, do it, this is not the end.

I think I have mentioned it before here, my sister was hospitalized 2 years ago and diagnosed with cancer. She died last year peacefully, and thanks to Bitcoin, I have converted some of my stash, to help her pay the hospital bills and then funeral.
1396  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why only a Bitcoin trading pair is the best thing? on: April 09, 2023, 10:43:20 PM
I think one of the reasons why Bitcoin trading is the best and the best is that when one trades only Bitcoin, his profit will be less than other coins or tokens and vice versa the chances of losing from other coins or tokens will be much less. I personally think that Bitcoin can be the only product for long-term trade management or long-term planning.

Do you think there could be anything other than Bitcoin in terms of long-term planning?

You mean the returns of our investment is Bitcoin is less than altcoins? yeah, that's true, but the thing is that Bitcoin is less likely to fall from pump and dump and manipulation as compare to altcoins. So for long term, it is advisable to stick with bitcoin. Just remember that we talking long term investment, it could be subjective, but the best approach will be like a full cycle of holding, bear->bull. Meaning you buy when the price is down in bear market, accumulate and then hold till the bull market and at least time when we are about to peak, all time high and sell and make that profits.

If you are going for a prime mover altcoin, the best bet could be Ethereum, in my opinion. There could be others like BNB, ADA or those in the top 10. But there we still need to be very cautious and not put huge amount of them.

[quote author=blockman link=topic=5447987.msg62055102#msg62055102 date=1680935951]

[quote author=Johnyz link=topic=5447987.msg62056824#msg62056824 date=1680963746]
Eto siguro yung mga bumibili ng account para makapangloko, good thing hinde mo nerelease hanggat walang proof na binibigay.
Kahit PC naman ang gamit you can still send the screenshot and confirmation, mag iingat talaga tayo sa P2P and make sure na legit seller ang pipiliin naten, mas risky ito kapag ikaw ang unang magsesend kaya double check if tama ang details ng binance account at ng bank account nila, their trust rating also matters.
[/quote]

Good news for Filipino boxing fans, because we have a new champion in Marlon Tapales who beat and shocks Murodjon Akhmadaliev to wrestle his two belts with a majority decision with, 115-113 for Tapales and then one judge score it a lopsided 118-110 for Akhmadaliev (maybe he is on the payroll, hehehe). Both started slow but it was more of Tapales outworking him the middle to the later rounds and Akhmadaliev have signs of ring rust. And Marlon showing his shoulder roll

And now we have a new champion at 122 lbs, and Tapales or at least the winner of the Fulton and Inoue will be all go out for a super bantamweight unification fight later or early next year.

Try and message their representative on this forum, it has been some days ago that he was last active on this form, but you can message him, likely he may see the PM.

PM him: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3067300

You can also post this on their announcement thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5326640.0

I am sure that their representatives will read everything anyway. Moreover, I sent them a link to the topic in the chat. I am simply surprised by their indifferent attitude and how they communicate with customers. Such companies that have the slightest respect for customers should not be in the top.

Why not give it a try though?

I mean they represent the company here, and they have been in this community for so long that they know that they need to respond to everyone's complains, issues and accusations. It's a cutthroat business though, so they might be busy at times and may not attend to their customers in a flash. For sure you have experience that in real life as well.
