1121  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Presyo ng bitcoin umangat on: June 21, 2023, 11:40:38 PM
dahil napatunayan na natin after every bear the price will go Bull.

Medyo umangat tayo ngayon ah, nasa $28k, kasi nitong mga nakaraang linggo eh parang nasa $25k-$26k or even $27k ang price range natin.

And tanong eh ma maintain ba natin tong pag angat ngayon? mahigit 5.x% in the last 24 hours na tayo.

pa 29k na nga eh as i posts this one , since this week parang nag up and down ang price sa 27-28k ngunit parang now may momentum na , pag na break natin ulit and 30k usd value , then malamang na naka recover na tayo sa issue ng Binance nitong nakaraang linggo.konting oras na lang eh makikita na natin ulit 30k and then  another position ang dapat ma break .

So another 6% increased na naman tayo in the last 24 hours.
1122  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for June on: June 21, 2023, 11:21:37 PM
Locked the poll as I think we have somewhat captured the ruling 'sentiment of the month' of the people who goes in this thread, which at the first couple weeks of the month, I mostly really agree with...

Now I think sentiment will slowly change to bullish the more BTC claws its way higher and slowly fights its way thru 30k - 32k resistance.  If it breaks out, I think we're looking at 36k - 37k resistance next.

Yeah, it was a sudden flipped, but who can tell though? bullish sentiments is back and we have recaptured $30k again, after trading for more than 2 months on a sideways pattern.

So yeah, resistance should be at $30k, but it seems that if we can maintain this price then we can go up to $32k. And we still have a lot of days before the end of June, so most likely this could be another green dildo.
1123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Super Middleweight (September 16) on: June 21, 2023, 11:11:42 PM
Thanks to this, yeah, I posted it here when  it was still a rumor hehehe. So it finally made official now.

And if I'm not mistaken, Jermall Charlo has been calling out Canelo for years now, before his hiatus and inactivity in boxing. Nevertheless it's a good fight for him money wise. But I think he will be too small for Canelo though, he is a good middleweight champion, but going up in weight and inactive in the last years or so might be too much for Charlo. So let's see if Canelo can get back to knocking out his opponent or if he is over the hill now and can't pull the trigger.

1125  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: FBI disrupts 9 crypto exchanges used to facilitate criminal activities on: June 20, 2023, 11:12:57 PM
I wonder how the FBI or exchange users got themselves to these unknown exchanges ,because I expected this to be with larger exchanges were liquidity is not a problem and they have a larger userbase...besides you can't hide behind a small exchange because all users are unique and they know the traits of each user and a person can easily be spotted!

Btw wonder why these guys didn't simply use a mixer or something if they have the skills to do their illegally sh*t, guess not so smart after all Roll Eyes

i'm sure they are all owned by one person, or a group of people all hosted on same server/account/dc.
The FBI is doing a good job and this will help limit these kind of exchanges where stolen funds are used to exchange for other things. This will limit there expansion even the culprits behind the exchange would want to create another exchange to continue there business. This is not the first time this is happening, I have seen similar sites that was shot down by the security for some offense similar to this one. We hope to see the continuous fight against fraudsters and illegal exchanges.

We can commend them, but they barely scratch the surface here in my opinion. There could still be hundreds of fly by night crypto exchanges around just being used by criminals or in the long run, going to scam their customers.

We've seen this in the past and this is going to be a cat and mouse game. And definitely FBI are not going out full force if there is no American involved or at least this criminals are not operating inside the US, hence they might know this exchange for a long time and only makes a moved recently.
1126  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: CZ called Binance Nigeria scam entity on: June 20, 2023, 10:31:49 PM
Is it true that there is a Binance Nigeria Limited company based in Lagos Nigeria? I read where CZ said that it's a scam organization, that they are just aware of it's existence in the country? Nigerians on here can anyone confirm if this is a fact?

It's now I am even thinking about the possibility that scammers can make this happen, a exchange company that's very popular can be run in another location where there was no services from the original exchange and make it look like it's still the same company, I have heard such stories before.

Isn't it obvious though? And what's scary though is that there could be individuals going to fall for this scam trick. And we all know the history about Nigeria when it comes to scam though, so again, we need to be very careful about it and CZ just trying to protect his brand name here.

So no need from some people from Nigeria to confirmed it.

And this could be just the beginning though, maybe we can see more entities registering Binance name to take advantage of it.
1127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 20, 2023, 10:09:41 PM

I actually think it is enough that this fight is between Crawford and Spence. That banner itself must be more than enough for the boxing fans to watch it live. You can't miss this. We have all been waiting and demanding for this for a long time.

They still need to market the fight if they wanted to get more audience.  For this boxers and promoters, fame is not enough, they still need to sell lots of ticket and PPVs in order to consider the fight as a success.  So they need more pre-fight actions to make more noise.

Although those kinds of gimmicks like the heightened intensity and the controversial speeches that you mentioned, all those pushes and personal attacks, they're a cheap way to sell a fight, but they may be effective to a certain extent. But the ultimate reason for any boxing fan to watch live is the fighter and his skills. Both Crawford and Spence have it.

Indeed the yare cheap way to sell the fight but for most boxer, they are very effective in attracting non-fans attention.  Remember each fans have their own favorite boxer so even if the boxer is so skilled, he will not get all the attention of boxing fans.  So to market the fight, they need to do extra effort in order for those non-fans to be curious.

I have a feeling that this supposed mega fight will only sell around 500k PPV buys. The date might be too early as even both fighters are cutting their camps in order to travel for the promotional tour.

I think Crawford is controlling himself not to trash-talk too much on Spence because he might scare the Texan into making another bunch of excuses to cancel the fight. Spence is a silent guy although he has the backing of the huge Texas population. Crawford however came from an average state with lesser cities.

I even saw someone saying the Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz event might garner more PPV buys than this one. Cheesy It's funny how these ultra casuals are purchasing joke fights rather than watching the real fights.

They are giving each other so much respect in the fight, hehehe. But I do think that the trash talk will come later, as we gets closer to the fight date.

Yeah, that could be the max buys they can get in my opinion. I don't think they can break into the 1 million PPV buys. Unless there are casuals that are willing to buy. Live gates though might be different as it could be sold out already (I haven't check the numbers yet).

I'm not seeing injuries before the night. This is just high stakes so they need to take good care of themselves before the actual fight. They might push themselves in training though, but they know what the limits are to not just sloppy and injured themselves.
1128  Economy / Speculation / Re: How high will Bitcoin rise, or fall, in 2023? on: June 20, 2023, 09:55:31 PM
We will never know what the next Bitcoin low or high will be. But we don't need to panic if the price drops below $20k again, which I think could happen again if there is pressure from many parties who release a lot of negative news about the world. It can make people panic and they will save their money from all kinds of investments.

But I don't think the US currency can hamper Bitcoin, meaning it might be for a while but won't be forever. But we don't have to think about it too seriously and it's better to prepare ourselves for whatever is coming so we can be ready.

And if the Bitcoin price drops again and inflation increases, we can adapt to the situation and survive. And when the price of Bitcoin decreases, we are given the opportunity to buy so we have to use it well.

And just like that, we have a huge jump in the last 24 hours, price hitting $28k already so that is a good sign already. Maybe this is the break out run that we all have been waiting for, or maybe another form of manipulation?

Still Bitcoin could be a good hedge for inflation for us, and I think investors do think that way. sooner or later Bitcoin will proved itself again when the price goes up next year after the block halving.
1129  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price, Where Next on: June 19, 2023, 10:51:01 PM
It has been clear that a lot of funds have to drag the price of Bitcoin to a low against previous months' Bitcoin price,  bitcoin started the year 2023 on a positive note after it recovered from a major market crisis before the FTX and the rest made the entire 2022 a negative price period and also made the price of Bitcoin and another asset to plumb greatly all through to 2023 before the current price of 26k+ which seems to be the lowest base the market liquidity can close on and at the current price.

So what next are we going to witness a low price movement or more recovery that will place us on the verge of a market break out against the next year's Bitcoin halving and anticipated bull run which can come before the halving or after the halving with both having the percentage possibilities.

The last quarter will be interesting though, so short term for me, yeah could boring, but when we enter on what we call the "ber" months, fro September-December, we might see some growth along the way and it could push the price to highs of like $35k-$40k or even higher. And we all know that there will be a lot of FOMO at the end of the year, as we all know that bitcoin halving is 2024. And that's what the mindset of some, it's just like beating the red light and buying at a high price instead of doing DCA and buy at the current price that we have as it is still cheap.
1130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 19, 2023, 10:11:57 PM
It seems that GBP and Ryan is going to be a disputed legal battle, Golden Boy Promotions Files Lawsuit Against Ryan Garcia, Lupe Valencia To Enforce Contract.

We know that this could be brewing for years now, but after Ryan lost to Tank Davis, it seems that his camp is putting the blame to everyone, even firing his training and now are looking to severe his ties with GBP and get out of his contract with Oscar.

Not siding on this one, I will just wait and wait will be the judges decision on this one. But for sure, if there are still fights in Ryan contract, he will have to finished it and then get out os GBP for sure.
1131  Economy / Economics / Re: Lucky you do not sell to blackrock on: June 18, 2023, 05:19:46 PM
I didn't sell anything, and I believe that most of the forum members didn't sell anything significant these days - in fact, I think that many took advantage of the dip and bought BTC.
Exactly mate!
The majority of the people in the market now are strong hands and I don't think that anyone who understands the bitcoin market will be selling at this time. What actually I'm looking for is slight opportunity to top up and I saw it at 24k.

You're right, I'm not saying that I'm a strong hands or something, needless to say though, that we are not bothered as to what is going on behind. All we want to do is to continue to accumulate.

If ever those who have big capital was able to buy, then good for them. The best opportunity for us is during the bottom last year of $15k. But in any case we see $20k-$24k for this year then that is still a big opportunity, in my opinion. The name of the of game right now is long term.
1132  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: SEC vs Coinbase 06.06.2023 on: June 18, 2023, 01:42:11 PM
https://news.yahoo.com/binance-us-hires-former-sec-181258086.html
"Binance.US added four lawyers from Milbank LLP, including a former co-director of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s enforcement division, George Canellos, as the beleaguered crypto platform prepares its defense against US allegations of operating an illegal securities exchange."

It is a matter of time before Binance leaves the US market. Litigation procedures take a long time, and customers will not be able to wait until the procedures are over, they will be allowed to withdraw their money in exchange for stopping work.

I think this article is different from the title of the thread (SEC vs Coinbase.) If you are excited about the SEC news, you can quote my topic and I will lock it and you update it with all SEC updates. I just don't have the time to track and analyze that news.

List: Crypto exchanges under SEC’s Radar!

You can change the title from list to discussion.
I think that in such a historical moment, any news is important. Binance can agree to a fine and leave the US market without lengthy lawsuits. And Coinbase, on the contrary, is trying to put pressure on the SEC in various ways.

What do you think is the reason for the SEC to close the biggest crypto exchanges in the US?

It's probably because of this,

https://cointelegraph.com/news/us-democrats-backing-sec-s-crypto-authority-community-responds

Quote
The United States Democratic Party has expressed its intent to back the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) total authority over crypto in a memo circulated among committee members before a hearing. The documents were shared on social media, causing backlash from crypto community members.

On May 10, the documents were shared on Twitter, highlighting key messages for the Democrats to support the SEC’s authority on crypto regulation. This includes its argument that nearly all digital assets constitute securities.

So it is political by now, US Democratic Party is hell bent on putting pressures on everything related to crypto, exchanges, deemed as securities and it might be even includes mining in general.

They are sending the message and I doubt that Coinbase could put pressure on SEC, on the contrary, all crypto exchanges operating in the US are now in trouble.
1133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 18, 2023, 12:54:16 PM
Ok there is a rumor circulating around that Canelo's next fight won't be Bivol and not against Benavidez as well.

Again, this is just a rumor, it is said that it will be Canelo va Jermall Charlo. Jermall last fight though is 2019, so not sure why Canelo and his camp are picking a inactive fighter and not even a true 168 super middle weight boxer.

Sure Jermall is a middle champion, but he will have to go up in weight and fight Canelo at his best weight.

And it seems that Canelo is really cherry picking his fight now or someone in his team did. So let's see if this fight is going to be developed and will actually going to happen late this year. This fight though might hit Canelo's legacy as he duck Benavidez and then his rematch with Bivol.

So far, there are two things that might explain why Canelo picked Jermall Charlo instead of picking some bad boy in the same division as him or at least active.

1. They chose Charlo to keep Canelo warmed up until they can establish a negotiating position with Bivol because as of now, Bivol shows no interest in Canelo because of the terms being given to them even after upsetting Canelo in their first clash.

2. Canelo's career is in sundown already and what they are doing right now is just taking advantage of Canelo's fame while he can still sell a fight while picking a much safer boxer that will match the equation. I mean, that fight with John Ryder might be a tune-up but that also revealed Canelo's current situation and most probably revealed the likelihood if he will fight heavy named boxers.

This is weird. Because what I am hearing is that Canelo is 90% close to making a deal against WBC cruiserweight champion Badou Jack. Not an easy fight for Canelo despite Jack at 39 years old. But should Canelo lose again, he remains undisputed at 168 while he's got the chance to become a 5-division world champion if he beats Jack.

Anyways, should the rumor of Jermall-Canelo is the one to be made, I wonder if the WBC elevates Benavidez as its champion since he is the interim champ and even fought for an unnecessary eliminator.

And this is actually the dream fight Jermall is wishing for years already. He's been avoiding the real fights, including his supposed mandatory against Mungia (WBC got paid or scared to force the mandatory?), and would rather stay inactive to preserve his virgin record for the Canelo lottery.

The Badou Jack fight is not going to happen,

https://twitter.com/BadouJack/status/1670174720149291012

And so it looks like the Canelo camp is trying to weight drain Badou hehehe. Not really sure what's up with the Canelo camp, but it seems they wanted to have to have a big advantage on this fight by draining Badou and then have rehydration clause inserted.

So the only option in which the rumor that I posted is Jermall Charlo for Canelo.  Grin
1134  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for June on: June 17, 2023, 10:50:45 PM
HELLO JUNE OF WONDERS!

June isn't obeying anyone's predictions. I see no moon in June, I see no side movement in June. All I see I digging and digging down the well. June want to reach 20k and it is so determined. What will stop it from happening. Indeed, cryptocurrency is unpredictable.
With the beautiful performance of last two months,  I really thought bitcoin will do more and hit 30k this month. Bit it seems the dream is dashed.

Nah, it is still going sideways and that's what the majority has voted as well. But I do agree that we are not going to see moon this June. And if you look at June historical logs, it's didn't look good at all so the pattern continues.

It's interesting to see where our support line is, and currently it is still $25k, we have retested that line and yet it covered nicely and it did bounce to $26k++. So we recovered from that critical level. And I think we are still going to be very bullish in the long term.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 17, 2023, 10:37:14 PM
It’s looking like Phoenix really wants to be the first team to make a big move in the offseason. They were trying to deal Ayton for the #2 pick and that seemed to fall through. Now it looks like they’re going after Bradley Beal. I’m not sure who will be the center for the Suns next year, but I’m pretty sure it won’t be Ayton. I think Beal would be a great pickup.

That's interesting if the Suns are going after Beal, they already have Booker and Durant, who where will Beal fit on their system?

For Ayton, yeah, they will have to deal him though, it really looks like he is not happy with the Suns anymore and you can see it in his performance. At least though they will have to find a good center replacement for him to compliment Booker and Durant and be the key if the Suns wanted to make another run or at least run the finals just like what they did before. But it's going to be hard as they will no longer have the services of CP3 as they also looking to ship him at the start of the season. But they have a lot of guard/small forwards so I guess it will easy for them. And they have played with CP3 in the playoffs so they could have adjusted already.
1136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BlackRock Bitcoin ETF to Partners with Coinbase on: June 17, 2023, 10:00:29 PM
As others have said, I'm smelling rejection from a far, there is going to be a big resistance from Gensler himself.

On the other hand, why not just those wealthy directly invest on Bitcoin itself, just simply buy a hardware wallet and put their investment simply as that. I guess this is one reason why old and traditional investors are into into Bitcoin because of too much technicalities involved. And the same reason why BlackRock created this Shares Bitcoin Trust, so that their customers wouldn't go on the intricacies that I have mentioned.
1137  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance leaves Netherlands on: June 17, 2023, 09:44:39 PM
Isn't it EToro and Bybit operates in Netherlands? And they even have their own local exchanges which is Bitvavo?

So I'm just wondering if other exchanges local or foreign can operate inside the Netherlands then why there is a issue on giving Binance the regulatory approval? I'm not pro-Binance, but I'm just curious as who's fault it is? Or just the government of Dutch is really hard bent on giving Binance the thumbs up? Or it is about CZ not wanting to go because he doesn't like what he is seeing on papers regarding regulations?

https://twitter.com/EleanorTerrett/status/1656362002577772544

Balita: Binance to Quit Netherlands After Failing to Acquire License

1139  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [warning] Fake Private-note -- pirvnota.com on: June 16, 2023, 11:14:49 PM
But really, does anyone use an online service to send sensitive data? This data can be viewed by the service provider a.k.a site owner and then may be modified.
The data is not hashed to ensure that it is not modified, and therefore even the legal site cannot be trusted.
I guess it depends on what sensitive data is being shared. If we are talking about passwords and stuff like that, maybe most of them won't use this self-destruct note. Maybe they will share secret links or screenshot with someone else, things that you don't want other people to know but need to be shared with your partner for your purpose. People can also use it to send their BTC address to somebody else if they're doing a trade that requires secrecy (although I doubt this is the best choice for that), which I guess is why scammers are publishing websites like this. I would not be surprised if some of these websites also replace credit card numbers, and stuff like that. CMIIW.

Right, but I believed that there are still some crypto enthusiast that thinks using this kind of self destructive note is safe from the prying eyes of hackers and online criminals.

Thanks to the OP for giving us the warning, although this is not the first time that we have heard this kind of attack vector. And I think it is still very effective method for criminals that's why they keep on recycling and creating this kind of websites and even using Google to trap and victimized us.
1140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 16, 2023, 11:00:31 PM

Well, it's official.

Ja Morant has be suspended for 25 games: https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/37863825/sources-grizzlies-ja-morant-suspended-25-games-nba

In my opinion, he got lucky. Many outlets spoke of a much higher punishment, even up to 1 season. The number which circulated the most was 30 games. So now it's "just" 25 games, seems like a good deal for him.

If he will learn something from the whole situation is a different story, der Grizzlies can only hope he does.
This will definitely harm Memphis to play without him in the first 30% of the season, at least they don't have to pay him for that time I guess.  Grin
Adam Silver has soft hands when it comes to Ja Morant. Punish him wild so that he may learn but I think his worries are not there. It's the money that will be missing for a season if he maximizes the punishment.
Indeed a good deal for Ja, if this is another player, let's say a bench player, then he is gone. But Morant is a star and one of the reasons why Memphis is watching the Grizzlies' game. Ka-ching!
Businessmen won't burn their own assets.

I do agree, this is just like a slap in the wrist to Ja Morant. I personally believed that he should be suspended longer, but it seems that Adam Silver doesn't want to imposed that and still like trying to baby-sit Ja and hope that he will change next season. 25 games ain't nothing for Morant, sure he will missed millions, but what the NBA commissioner should be sending is that they are not going to tolerate anyone not even a superstar. NBA is really becoming "soft". I'm hinting that when Morant makes a comeback it will be prime time for NBA and could set it up again the defending champion.
