I can't figure out which way to go on the lakers/golden state game.  I think I'm just gonna bang the over and the Lakers 1st half -2.  No clue how this ends but Lakers shoukd come out firing at home.

When in doubt, bet on the defending champions. The Warriors have made the adjustments and I think they will still continue with that, going small lineup. So it's time for coach Ham to carve out his own adjustments in game 3. And I like how the Warriors are going to be the underdog here, so even at ML right now is better at 2.3x. And with that, I will go with the Warriors on the road, bigger risks, bigger rewards.  Grin

Best of luck to everyone!!!.

Didn't touch the Knicks game today but I might hit the mid game over.  Knicks can't shoot this bad the entire game...well they can but I'm betting they don't lol.

I also didn't touch this game, Miami Heat though has a huge lead so congrats to those who bet on the Heat and chances are the Heat taking a 2-1 already.

I have never used this platform before and I don't know how they work.
What was the main reason of their closure after 10 years of service, there are several platform that have also lasted enough and closing their operation shows what?
Incapability or what?

So according to them, it's because of crypto-winter, however, they were also cited by the US Treasury Department as one of the operators that traded with Bizlato which is accused of money laundering by US. So the pressure mounted on them, with the market situation + regulatory pressure.
1284  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Green energy Bitcoin Mining ng Bhutan, Meron din kaya sa Pinas? on: May 05, 2023, 10:25:28 PM
Russia rin nag minina o nasa bitcoin mining, Russian government subsidizes crypto mining facility in Siberia.

1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 05, 2023, 10:10:11 PM
It was more or less clear that we would see a more resilient Warriors in game two as the Lakers took the home advantage after the first game they played very well. It was important for the Lakers to get a game, they did it. The second match could have been sacrificed. Now winning their home matches will be enough for them to pass the round. Anthony Davis was great in the first game, but he was like a ghost in the second game. LeBron also played very little in the second half when the gap widened. The bench contribution of players such as Hachimura and Walker is important. The Lakers should score more from the bench. If it's all up to the Davis, LeBron, Russell trio, it's tough. Every player has to contribute to the team. I would love to see the Lakers against the Nuggets in the Conference Finals. They have to win 3 more games and it will not be easy. They must defend in a way that breaks the Warriors' 3-point game plan.

We'll see if GSW can steal at least 1 in the next 2 games in LA. GSW had a bad winning record outside of their home but they must do it, it is the playoffs anyways and the team has too much experience in situations like this.

Yeah, that could be the argument against the Warriors in game 3, the Lakers steal one game home for them, they should return the favor, but can they do it? But if we look at their series against the Kings, yeah, possible for the Warriors specially with their experience to steal one game and get back that one game they lost.

The Lakers however are capable of winning this series after bringing some players just before the trade deadline. The odds of this series remain in favor of GSW although it is close. AD needs to become consistent like Bron if it wants to win games. I am not really sold on to D'Lo, the guy is inconsistent as always over the years. The Lakers though have the depth now but they need to perform.

I agree with the D'Lo observation, inconsistent with his contribution to the team, although the Lakers is obviously improved as they make a lot of trades to acquire players, they still lack the experience, Reaves, Vando, Rui hasn't been in this kind of situation before. Beasley time was diminished. So still up to Bron and AD to become the offense for this team. Specially Lebron, he is just contend of passing the ball and distribute. He needs to at least score 30+ in order for the Lakers to have a good chance to win this series.
1286  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Gazeta impersonator on Telegram on: May 05, 2023, 09:53:49 PM
I am not surprised to see such impersonators to be honest. You have a very recognizable name, plus the merit cycler avatar. Not to mention that you are positively rated member and trusted in the community. You also escrow funds for other people. All those are reasons why someone would try to take advantage of the situation to steal and profit.

True, even Royse777 was impersonated recently, 🛑 Be aware from these type of scammer 🚫 ☠. So this might be trend for this scammers to look for reputable member here, try to impersonate them and then pull a scam.

Everyone should be very careful on who they dealing with as they might be the next victim.

Much better if they can ping their account here in the forum just to verify that they are talking to the real Gazeta or Royse777.

1288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin network fee, worrying sign? on: May 05, 2023, 09:13:00 PM
Sorry for another topic about the recent issue going related to bitcoin network congestion but I really want to know that Bitcoin ordinals so called NFTs is really going to change the fee required for the transaction in the future?

Because I didn't witness such kind of clog since 2017 but by that time there is no segwit, exchanges are clogging the network purposely and so on but later for so many years the fee issue isn't really there but all of a sudden we have to pay over 100 sats for over transaction to get into the block may create a bad image and it will create the FUD and may initiate the price drop.

Who wouldn't worry? I mean it's alarming to see the network again being congested. However, we don't known if Bitcoin ordinals are going to change the network fee. We all know that NFT is hype, just like the rest of what we have seen before. Eventually, it will die down a natural death.

2017 is different though, as far as I can remember there were network spams early that year and then the congestion was due to the bull run itself. And most likely there are a lot of us here who are newbie that time and we don't know what's happening. So we will see how we are going to adapt in the next bull run if Ordinals are still are thing that time.
1289  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: FBI disrupts 9 crypto exchanges used to facilitate criminal activities on: May 03, 2023, 10:58:41 PM
I've never heard of any of these exchanges before. Are they Ukraine exchange that serve US customers or something? Seems like some of their servers are hosted in the US, which is why the FBI is seizing them, CMIIW. Calling them small is probably an understatement if we look at their social media. I've checked the 24xbtc and their Instagram doesn't even reach 1 thousand followers. I wonder how they can do the alleged laundering activities if they don't have a large number of users.

exchanges that were sized seem small, but this opens the way for all platforms that do not require verification of identity that they will be next on that list.
Some exchanges will probably block US customers if they want to keep their no-KYC policy available. Although I'm not sure if that is a good move from a business standpoint. People should look for decentralized solutions to avoid being locked out of their accounts before their exchange starts to demand KYC.

Yeah, seems to be just a fly by night crypto exchanges and they are just create or build for that purposes, to be used by bad actors. Perhaps this could be promoted in some places in the web that is nested by this kind of criminals, and then market it as the place they can launder their money. So the operators we can say are smart enough to be under the radar for many years until someone from the US might have reported it, or some whistle blower tell it to the authorities.

And it might be that they are serving US customers that's why FBi has to step up again. We all know how long their hands of the law is, specially if it involves US citizens whether users or victims here.

And if we look at the chart, they have similar projections or maybe we can say that Bitcoin might be adopted faster. In the beginning we don't have any idea what Internet is, however, when we realized the big potential, companies started to build the backbone (similar to what we are seeing, exchanges, and other services related to Bitcoin) and then government adopted it (El Salvador and others). And now the impact is being felt globally, again the same why as Internet is in the mid-90s to early 2000's. Maybe your theory though is similar to Metcalfe's law.
When people were adopting the Internet in its early days, they were actually using it, spending many hours per month, and the benefits of Internet were clear to see.

But with Bitcoin and altcoins, most users are just people who want to make some quick money from speculative trading. Most users are not adopting crypto to pay with it in stores or online. Adoption for speculative trading is not sustainable, it creates a bubble that will pop when there will be too few newcomers to sustain the growth.
It's because Bitcoin has become a speculative assets, and there are no online stores willing to take the risk to accept bitcoin as payment system. Perhaps in the beginning there were a couple of them and we're glad to have that, but with Bitcoin's volatility it's not sustainable. So we can't blame Bitcoin for that one, it's just evolved very quickly. Now we have exchanges, and 3rd party before we can used it.

But at least the numbers keep growing just like what the Internet did. At first it was just a couple of countries who had the privilege to used it. Then slowly governments around the world work to build the infrastructure because they know what this technology can bring.

    1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 02, 2023, 11:10:52 PM
I already bet on the Warriors at -4.5 as well, I like their chances in game 1 specially at their home court. They lost a game here against the Kings, but I doubt that they can go 2 home game lost specially in the playoff. Curry has taken over and he is putting performances like he was trying to proved his doubters wrong. Lakers has the advantage of having a rest, but they could have ring rust, while the Warriors have the momentum right now. Lot's of game match up, inside with Looney and Draymond against a healthy Anthony Davis.

I'm skipping the Knicks vs Heat game, I'll just have to watch this one, (or maybe if I have the itch to bet live game, I will do it).
But the initial odds of -/+10.5 could be a trap, (Randle playing or Butler missing the game??/)
1293  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for May on: May 02, 2023, 10:54:46 PM
Of course the market doesn't always continue in the same manner, even if it has done so for 4 months already, but unless there is a significant change in direction in the coming weeks then I still think price has more room to the upside (even if less than February/April months). I also think price may well re-test $25K before reaching $32K, in order to create a bullish wick on Monthly time-frame.

That's also the scenario that I personally wanted to see, I mean I'm not bearish on the market, but it seems that in the first 4 months, the price is going on the upside. We need to take a breather and need to see something for the price to retest some kind of levels. Which means going down to $25k and then those who are waiting for a good price will take that opportunity.

And then the price going on the and reaching $32K. That's some pattern that we have seen before, going down and then climbing up more than the previous high. So let's see this kind of scenario and hopefully the market will react positively in the long run or at this the next 20+ days of this month.
1294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: May 01, 2023, 11:34:25 PM
Its his last fight with Goosen though, as Garcia is parting ways with the fame training,

    Quote
BoxingScene.com has confirmed that Garcia has parted ways with veteran trainer Joe Goossen. The split comes a little more than a year after the two joined forces in early 2022, working just three fights together and which ended with Garcia’s lone career defeat when he was stopped by unbeaten star Gervonta Davis in the seventh round of their April 22 super fight at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

    https://www.boxingscene.com/ryan-garcia-parts-ways-with-joe-goossen-following-knockout-defeat-gervonta-davis--174277

    So from Reynoso->Goosen->Huh?

Who's next for Ryan? and can we blame him for leaving Goosen as his trainer? They are very close as Goosen has trained Ryan in the amateurs and it was reported that the Garcia's are close to Goosen. But obviously, with the way he lost against Tank, I guess Ryan might not be satisfied on how him and Goosen put up their strategy. Anyways, we will see which one his going to pick next as he wanted to go and move up to 140 lbs.
    1295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 01, 2023, 11:03:50 PM
Sacramento played well the first half, but then they got stuck. They had the disadvantage of being a young and inexperienced team. There was no player who stood out when they had difficulty in scoring on offense. The lack of leadership was felt in the team. The Warriors, on the other hand, played a very comfortable second half and won the match with their stars. It's been a good experience for the Kings, they can fight better if they make the playoffs next year.
Like what every NBA analyst already said before Game 7 even started, this is the test of who the star player is or will be. I didn't see that with Fox. True, he is inexperienced, and this is his first playoff run, but I really like to see the same energy as he did in the last 6 games of the series. This is the first and the last that he didn't score above 20 points in the whole series against the Golden State Warriors which made me think that Shaq was right, the pressure was on them.

It's difficult to suppress the comparison that happened.
    Steph Curry's last 7 games points: 30,28,36,32,31,29,50
    DeAaron Fox's last 7 games points: 38,24,26,38,24,26,16

Fox was supposed to lead the Kings on their way to the 2nd round but it seems the pressure got the better of him. I hope he learned a good lesson here.
Steph was right, they ain't ready for this yet.

It's really the pressure on the shoulder of Fox and the whole team itself, and if a team as young as Sacramento faces a DNA championship caliber like the Warriors, it will be the experience of the team that will prevail. And when the Kings is having pressure to close this series after leading 2-0, the Warriors on the other hand, remain calm as Curry said. And no excuses, Fox to be fair with him has injured his finger in game 5. And obviously, the Kings failed to stop Curry, those bodies that they throw on him wasn't enough to disrupt his shots, Fox, Murray, Monk, Barnes Davis, Mitchell is not effective. And on the contrary, we've seen Curry took 38 field goal attempts in game 7 and that is a lot. And then we have Looney outrebounding Sabonis, and the numbers doesn't line, Warriors won the game when Looney was dominating the boards with 20+ rebounds.

    Looney's numbers - game 3- 20, game 5 - 22 and game 7 - 21.
1296  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do u think that the body governing need to re-strategize ? on: May 01, 2023, 10:47:20 PM
It is no longer news that cryptocurrency is not supported/accepted by governments of all countries. I want to believe that the body regulating these coins needs to re-strategize for better acceptance. I will like to have your views.

It's not going to be easy for any government to accept crypto, it will still be based on those who are in the power and sitting at the office. For example, Bukele of El Salvador he is the President for now and seems to be Bitcoin friendly, so what happens next election if he losses? technically, he is not allowed to have 2 consecutive terms if I'm not mistaken, however, their Supreme court discarding that rule,

So in any case, he wins that El Salvador will still become a Bitcoin friendly and still accepted as Legal tender. But there are chances that in other countries, the new government might make a U-Turn. No need to re-strategized for government or those financial bodies, they already made some decisions to go anti or pro Bitcoin/crypto so it will remain until they themselves change courses for whatever reasons.

It is a good thing to have faith in our investments especially when we have done thorough research about it.  I am also one of those people that believe Bitcoin is here to stay but have the reserve in mind that everything will eventually come to an end except if they keep on evolving to cater to the needs of the masses.

It is a good point to compare Bitcoin to the development of computers but have you thought of the fact that these old computers are obsolete and are not in circulation anymore, nor is any demand for them?  And these new batches of computers can be associated with different cryptocurrency that has the latest technology. I think the case can happen to Bitcoin.  If Bitcoin failed to develop and update itself to compete in the market, it might be overtaken by the latest technology of alternative cryptocurrency.  Remember, there is no permanent in this world but change, there is no wrong in believing about the possible achievement of Bitcoin and the profits that lie ahead in the future but we must keep ourselves vigilant and updated about the cryptocurrency market.  It doesn't hurt to have some reservations and cautiousness in dealing with Bitcoin investments, after all, it is our money we put into the Bitcoin investment and obviously we have to protect it against any kind of losses.
I got your points mate, practically i am not comparing bitcoin with those computer but rather looking at how long it took them to have these developments from 1 to 5 and above, it didn't just end there but today we have lots of AI developed that even makes our computer works more better and smarter. What i was only referencing was the time it took to process the computer from 1 to 5 can also be seen and liken for bitcoin to gradually develop and have a better stands without us being in a haste to let out of the whole market pump happened immediately without us excising patient for gradual developments and increase in price.
For one to have patient they may use the progression of computer as a case study.

What a game by the Warriors in the road, Steph putting up 50 points in a elimination series, it was very close till the end of the second half. But we all know that Warriors is a third quarter team and so Curry pour everything he can in that quarter and it's was easy and smooth in the fourth.

So in the West, #2,#3 was knockout in the first round.

And now it will be Lakers vs Warriors. So familiar foe indeed, James against Steph but Lebron with a different team. Good season for the Kings though, it was really though but for sure, this is a big lessons for them to go against the Warriors and lost the series.

Worth to mentioned Looney's 20+ rebounds again.

Pero ganun pa man meron pa ding risk both party Forex man yan o Cryptocurrency.
