1181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 07, 2023, 10:43:24 PM
Looking at the poll right now, we can see that the users here are somewhat divided and as of now, both teams are tied by receiving 9 votes each while some are still weighing on which team should they vote and does have a good advantage over the other.

Surely enough, the Finals this year has been pretty much unpredictable and interesting even though we can really say that the Nuggets got a little bit of an advantage because of Jokic and their height difference as a roster as well that literally gave the Heat a struggle in the first game as we can see. But it seems that the Heat already got a plan or two about that as I don't think they will just let the Nuggets and dominate the series.

In the East it was obvious a unpredictable series, having the number 8 in the the conference and then they  goes to the finals? I doubt that anyone see that happening. In the West though, Nuggets is the top seed, so there are no surprises their. They are even the favorites to win the finals now, but the Heat are not going to give up that easily.

Looks like Adam Silver will be announcing a 30-game suspension for Ja Morant as soon as the Finals are over.  Pretty crazy to me.  I understand that the NBA has been trying to distance itself from guns and gun violence for years now.  Remember before the Wizards were the Wizards?  Remember the Gilbert Arenas incident that destroyed his promising career?  Clearly, the NBA has taken a no-nonsense policy when it comes to guns.

However, Ja flashing a gun in the background of someone else's video, so long as it is legal, seems like a bit of an overreach.  Although it wasn't his first incident, so maybe the league made it clear this is what would happen with a second incident.

It's pretty straight forward, he violated NBA rules twice, then he should suffered the consequences. And we all know that in the US there are a lot of gun violence, specially involving young individuals, so the NBA want to set another example again here.

Toy gun? Lol, is that the best defense that the camp of Ja can come up? Why don't they just admit it, man up and then apologized and then Ja surround himself with people that really will take care of him? not those who want to be a rapper/gangster?
1182  Economy / Speculation / Re: SEC Lawsuit Against Binance Is Likely To Hit Bitcoin Price on: June 06, 2023, 10:41:57 PM
Securities and Exchange Commission, popularly known as SEC, recently filled a lawsuit against Binance for violating federal securities laws. This made Bitcoin price declined by almost 5%, one hour after the allegation was filled as at june 5th.

As at this morning, while checking Bitcoin chart, it is currently $25.7K. The funniest part is that lots of Crypto and Non-Crypto experts had all made predictions of a pump in price.

SEC can't just stopping firing at all exchange companies they suspect fishy activities. Don't forget that Coinbase and Coinme are also victims, and there court case is still active.

Do you think SEC's lawsuit case will create more damage to the BTC price ?

Is it possible for all crypto exchange companies in the US to avoid SEC's trouble ?.

Possible, the effects might be just temporary though, and yes, after the news hit the public, it went to $25k'ish, and now it's back to $27,120. So we might conclude that there are no effect whatsoever. Nevertheless, there could be some part of manipulation by the whales here. As if they are giving hope that the news will not have a effect. But then again, maybe after hitting $28k there could be speculators that are going to short BTC.

But if we look at the long picture, at least six months down the line, we might forget about this issues. Maybe Binance can get over the hype, answers everything or move out their Binance.US for good, just like what Coinbase did.
1183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 06, 2023, 10:27:02 PM
Moneyline:
Crawford - 1.83       Spence - 2.34

Does anyone remember the old odds before the sportsbooks have taken them down? I remember it was close, however, Terence Crawford was the underdog. I also remember that much of the people were on Errol Spence except for maybe @Boafeng and 1 or 2 other people. I too was also on Crawford.

I think it's about the same odds as before, maybe just a slight +/- on the side of Crawford.

In any case, I reckon the sportsbooks might be making a mistake on these new odds. Spence is physically stronger and his skills appear to be very much equal with Crawford, I reckon. Similar to Haney vs. Loma, I change my pick again. I am on team Spence!

I don't think that the sports bookies made a mistake in putting Crawford as their favorite, this punters know how to put and who is going to be the favorite as they look on several factors. And even before the announcement of the fight itself, I think majority thinks that Crawford will be the favorite going into this fight and that's what happen right now.

It was a sad day Daniel Nicolas a Filipino Boxer was defeated in a dominating fashion Kenji Fujita was really fast in his feat you can see who is more experience and who is dominating the fight Daniel Nicolas could have given Fujita some punches but what I see is if Nicolas could get 1 punch but Fujita will surely give Nicolas multiple punches in exchange, you can really see the level of the Japanese boxer to the Filipino boxer the fight was very onesided,

I guess the Japanese is really superior and didn't give Daniel Nicolas a chance to win in this fight. Anyhow, probably just one of those fights that it's hard to win for the Filipino as he lacks the tools to defeat the Japanese.

Lately though, there are a lot of good women's boxing, like Claressa here, who keep all her belt and intact for now.

Not sure though why it is being hated for now, maybe boxing pundits is really into men trying to out box each other and wanted to see a knockout unlike in women's boxing as we seldom see a knockout.
The Japanese are really proving themselves out here now, with all these young talents cementing their names as one of the best Japanese boxers to wear the gloves. We've also seen a massive decline in the performance of Filipino Boxers lately, Nonito Donaire for example losing out on one of his most important fights which in my opinion he has no business of losing since he's still pretty much got much fight in him.

Just a setback for Filipino boxers, but there was a time that we have a lot of champions led by Manny Pacquiao, Nonito Donaire, Donnie Nietes, Brian Villoria and others. But it seems that the golden era of Filipino boxing has somewhat on the back track now as Manny has retired and so are the other great champions. And now the Japanese is taking over from us. Nevertheless, let this be a challenge for Filipino boxers, to really fight hard specially it the title is on the line. Currently we only have Marlon Tapales as our champion.

As for women's boxing, a lot of boxing fans are just not into it because of the fact that there are less action, and it's more about just landing shots and playing for time instead of massive punches being thrown left and right, basically picture every boxer in the men's division playing like Floyd Mayweather, but with less speed and less finesse. That's how women's boxing looks like to people who grew up watching regular boxing.

I don't think that women's boxing will got the lion share as far as fanbase goes. No offense to them, the women has taking a lot of stride in the last 10 years or so, just like womens MMA. But boxing fans want more action I guess and unless there will be a women boxer who came along knocking everyone out, or at least not a boring fights then maybe we will take more womens boxing very often as we should.

Here is one English reports about this case, Missouri doctor John Forsyth last seen getting into mystery car before being found dead in lake: brother.

The article didn't mentioned about his involvement in crypto, specially in BTC. So it's hard to conclude initially if this is homicide is related to it. And as per the news report:

Quote
Richard Forsyth said that his brother has previously been involved in dangerous situations and that he was kidnapped and released in February 2022.

So I guess we will have to wait and see, maybe the said doctor might have been involved himself which gang or any dangerous criminals.

It will be really bad if we won't be seeing the rematch between Canelo and Bivol. I think Canelo should be looking for legacy fights as this point of his career, he needs to get back at Bivol and if he wins then maybe David Benavidez next for him.

And if there's no Canelo fight for Bivol, then Beterbiev as they also wanted to chase this fight for a long time.

For David Benavidez though, Sampson said that it could be David Morell in October for his prize fighter if they can't get Canelo Alvarez.
1189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 03, 2023, 10:38:03 PM
Denver seems really strong, and with Jokic on this level i dont think Miami can have any chance.

But in the first game we dont see Butler playing at high level, lets see in the next one, what happen.

Yes, we've seen how good Jokic is all around, he involved his teams and then he take the offense as well. He had another triple double, second player behind Jason Kidd to accomplished that in their first finals appearance, so that is something for Jokic and the rest of NBA history to cherished.

But the fight is still not over, it's just game 1, again, battle of adjustments, we will see how coach Spo will respond in the next game. And I don't think that Jimmy will just sit it out. He will have to motivate himself and his team again just like what they did in game 7 against the Celtics. For sure they are going to look at how bad they shot the ball, so that could be one area that they are going to improved in game 2.
1190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining difficulty at an all time high on: June 03, 2023, 10:15:45 PM
Mining difficulty as the name implies shows how difficult it is to mine a block. This usually arise as a result of an increase in the number of miners and may ending adjustment showed an all time high surpassing the 50 trillion mark. This means that mining a block has never been harder but also shows that Bitcoin popularity has really made it far. Why is the increase happening now, is this because of the hypes of ordinals( which I saw have crossed 10 million inscriptions)? Or the increase in transaction fee is enticing for people to consider mining?

As long as the miners is still making money, then regardless of how it will be difficult they are going to continue, with or without the hype on the ordinals.

Here are some stats to look at,

Quote
Latest Stats

    Bitcoin Average Mining Costs
    2023-06-02
    26,757
    32,770

    Bitcoin/USD
    2023-06-03
    27,003
    27,250

https://en.macromicro.me/charts/29435/bitcoin-production-total-cost

Miners could have just been in the break even numbers though, as far as mining cost vs the price of bitcoin right now. So sooner or later they might have to dump some to cover the cost of their operations.

Miami Heat -8.5 @ 2.01 vs Denver Nuggets .. Good luck sa inyo!

Caleb Martin and Max Strus combining only for 3 points, laking factor nyan kung bakit sila nilamangan ng double digits all through-out the ball game.

1192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 02, 2023, 11:07:33 PM
From what I noticed on Miami Heat's Game 1 performance, they allowed the Nuggets to have several clear shots "from the inside".

What does this mean? The Miami Heat's defense is focused on the perimeter area whereas the Nuggets are also deadly but with that, they lessen their rim protection. It's noticeable from the start of the game that there are lots of unexpected easy dishes from Nikola Jokic to his teammates on the paint for an easy bucket. Heat players are mostly on the perimeter area not realizing that Nuggets won't have to push for outside shooting where they can even attack the rim.

Aaron Gordon was also muscling his way to the rim, even against anyone. If they can't stop Gordon inside the rim, what's more against Jokic and aside from that, thinking of how to stop those Nuggets perimeter shooters. I have noticed too in some part of the game that Lowry even try to guard Jokic lol.

Miami Heat knows the adjustment they will have to do next game but the problem is how they will able to properly execute it.

Yep, that's how the first game ended, Aaron Gordon has all the mismatch in that game and it seems he is enjoying every bit of it against his smaller defender. Not only Lowry but even Jimmy Butler try to guard Jokic, and the double team was kinda late as Jokic using his court vision was able to spot the open man for a good 3 point shot percentage.

That's why it's a total shock for the Heat in game 1, they didn't expect this kind of game from the Nuggets. Maybe because they are used on the East kind of play. But Denver has so many offensive weapons in this game that it seems the Heat lost the game in the first 3 quarters already. So hopefully knowing how good coach Spo on making adjustments, we will see what is their game plan next.
1193  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2024 halving less than 1 year away on: June 02, 2023, 10:30:25 PM
The potential for Bull Run and makes a new ATH very large in 2024 when Halving occurs, as we know that Halving will make many people panic to buy because the mining amount is reduced by 50%, this will make an increase in demand and automatically increase in significant price increases .

Lol, what do you mean panic to buy, if we are looking for the bull run or at least the catalyst for it, it will be the block halving. However, to maximized this activity, you should have been buying Bitcoin since the bear market, that's where you should start accumulating. I know it's a long process and it takes a lot of mental toughness to do that, but that's how investors become rich here.

And so that they won't panic buying when we are about in a bull run. You should start as I have said, in the bear market.

Still not late though, we have a year before the block halving, so that is 12 months of hard grind weekly or monthly saving of bitcoin in your wallet done through DCA.
1194  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: P2P Scams : Where does the government stand on: June 02, 2023, 10:06:15 PM
These days there are a lot of P2P scams on Binance and other platforms. The P2P platforms are not be blamed but the scammers are coming up with new ways to scam people who are new to the crypto world.

Recently Binance did a P2P scam awareness session with our local community which was very informative.

The recording can be watched here   https://www.binance.com/en/live/video?roomId=2138115

Now my question is that in my country, crypto is not legalized, so in case if anyone is scammed through P2P, we can't take up this matter in the legal court because the country does not recognize the transactions of crypto in the first place.

Does this gives a free hand to scammers as they know that they cannot be punished by a court of law  Huh

It's all over Binance now, I recently experience this P2P scams, but it's Bybit platform, here is the thread, {Babala}: Mag-ingat sa P2P trading.

I think the only one that can do something right now is the exchanges themselves, I don't think that the government can go after this scammers, I mean it will take a lot of time and effort to track all of them.

The best thing for us to do is to report it right away to the platform and the best effort is to suspend or removed the account and try to mark it so that they can't open another account with them.
1195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 02, 2023, 09:48:06 PM
And as expected by everyone, the Nuggets takes game 1 very easy if I may say that. And as I have said in my prediction, it's a blow out win, double digit lead advantage. Aaron Gordon was the X-factor in this first game and it seems he is enjoying the matchup whether defense or offense that the Heat is putting up on him. The last time the Nuggets lost, it takes a combine Booker and Durant to have a perfect night and beat them. I don't see anyone on Heat's caliber though, although it might take like Butler and Bam to really contribute big in their offense to offset the Nuggets in this series.

Butler and Bam were trying to lift the team, but it was the off-night shooting performances of the rest of the team.

they've been outscored by the Nuggets, that tight defense really bring that big impact to the outcome of the game, Nuggets fans
surely enjoy what they've seen from all the players who step inside the court. They provide what the team needs and give enough
rest for the core players and continue that great performances.

As far as I can tell about what happened in Game 1, only Bam have tried to lift the team because I don't know what happened with Butler. He seems to be tired about the recent series they've finished because instead of being the one who always try to penetrate the paint, I didn't see that much of Butler and his stats are actually much lower compared to his last 10 games. Fatigue might be a factor but who knows.

Yes, just one of those off nights perhaps, and surprisingly Bam has success early but it wasn't sustainable though as the Nuggets is pouring everything on the Heat's team. And then bad shooting night, Max Strus - 0 point, Caleb Martin - 3 points, same with Duncan Robinson. Those two are very important part of the team and yet they shoot poorly as compare to their game 7 win on the road against the Celtics.

So there are too many intangibles, lost my bet on this game 1 as I laid the line on the Heat to win.

Anyways, we will see what kind of adjustments coach Spo will give us in game 2, while they continue to rely on their outside shooting to offset the solid defense by the Nuggets inside? Or play deliberate and used the zone?

How about this news?

https://twitter.com/MichaelBensonn/status/1664287862911807490

Will Canelo bite on this one? or will he clearly duck Benavidez at this stage because he is focus on a rematch with Bivol at 175 lbs.

Offer might not be big for Canelo though, but I think the Benavidez is chasing him because they know that Canelo is slowly losing a step or two as what we hae seen in the Ryder fight recently.
1197  Economy / Speculation / Re: Correction from $30K: Reason to worry? on: June 01, 2023, 10:48:40 PM
correction is an opportunity so why worry if the Bitcoin price corrects from $ 30k?,
the halving is still 1 year away, to be precise, maybe in Q2 2024,
so it's better to focus on adding to the portfolio because we are still in the accumulation zone of Bitcoin price action.
Exactly, we have nothing to worry about the current market conditions, we are planning a DCA strategy of adding assets because the market is very volatile at the moment but it is likely to correct below 25k, but I really hope bitcoin never returns to 20k because of the bad impact on the bitcoin price before halving, there's no telling what the next low will be as bitcoin has been holding on to lows for the last 2 years.

I think if you're going to look at the thread itself, the beginning assessment is that $28k will be our biggest support. But obviously it has been invalidated already when we had this problems with ordinals clogging the mempool and so the market goes down hard. And as we can see the price is just barely making it to $27k, so again, we are in a complete trend now as everything has change a lot since the OP has started this thread.

But as far as doing stacking sats yeah, DCA is the best strategy, big investors and even average joe are into this strategy, because it a foul proof and it's going to work in the long run.

Think of when you hit a jackpot, and some cool cash slide into your pocket, you feels better and step up some pride and involved arrogance, you feel like you can buy the world with your peanuts lol, bro, I little shopping out of it can makes you look like a poor man again. There is this oil dealer guy in my community who happen to be hot market pro in the oil industry, he owns an oil well but this guy it gets to his head and start contesting for political power which he has lose twice now and the worst of it now is that the oil well is dried because suck the money into politics, loss everything. This money is never really enough, no wonder even the President of nations still fights to get money after office.

Of course, that is the biggest lessons for everyone here, even though you could have all the money in the world, still though there might be a time that it will dried up because of your wrong decisions in life. And probably this is what happen to this guy, he thought that he could go on forever with his oil dealership and that the money will continue to flow. And so with wrong mindset to begin with, it's just a matter of time before God will take that everything from you if you began to be greedy, in his case, he wanted political power. And with that, this is just a lessons for everyone, you should learn how to invest as well for the future because you don't know that one of your source of income will suddenly be taken away from you.

Not really sure about this though, yeah maybe he is a good author after all, but it's totally different when you are hired in a government office.

Again, we support Bukele's here as being a Bitcoin advocate, but I'm thinking that the office created for Dr. Saifedean Ammous might be just for PR stunt as he needs someone to bring the face of Bitcoin in his side. And again, he could be a well gifted author, but being a economic advisor is two different things.

na need mo gamitin or syempre yung value nun.

from my btc wallet->Gcrypto wallet->convert to PHP->papunta Gcash.
