562  Economy / Speculation / Re: September didn't follow its bear cycle on: November 26, 2023, 11:00:27 PM
There is something that has pushed the price to rise below $26,000. No one knows what it is and it may appear as purchases in the records of one of the companies when this quarter’s report is issued. But in any case, a 4% rise does not mean that we will witness an upward wave for this month, as we may remain below 30k most likely as there is not enough momentum for this historical resistance level, but before the end of the year we will be between 30k to 40k.

It seems like what you said might not happen, but this is actually a good signal for the market in the future, even though I'm not completely sure that the market will continue to rise. because the halving is still a long time away, and usually experiences a final decline before rising again.
honestly it depends if there's a good news keep appearing one by one, i'm pretty sure decline could be avoided, since the market sentiment is getting good, people are investing left and right believing that bitcoin will be bullish eventually. even though the same as you, i would already expect some correction along the way, since thats what usually happened when the market kept on rising more and more, eventually there needs to be some time for accumulation. but seeing that there are some real good news about ETF, i'm kinda positive that we are definitely gonna get imminent bullish at the right time in the future maybe next year.
the one thing that I know for sure is that, considering altcoin rise this recent months, im kinda positive that altcoin will also come and probably will happen at the same time when bitcoin is rising.
that'd be great scenario if truly occurs.

It's hard to say what will happen next, although the market is growing quite well even as news about CZ is spreading in the market. But we should not be subjective that the market will not decrease anymore. Fomo and optimism people are not enough to maintain the bullish momentum of bitcoin because we are not the ones who decide the trend of bitcoin. Market makers, large institutions... are the ones who decide how bitcoin will move. Don't let the excitement kill us, be alert every time the market goes up while the halving has not yet happened.

Regarding the market situation, I think that once bitcoin goes sideways and ETH surges, we will have an altcoin season.

Not sure though, all road to Bitcoin in my opinion, so every altcoin is going to be affected, but I don't think that if Bitcoin goes down, investors are all automatically going to Altcoin or even Ethereum, it's more to that. Bitcoin is still going to be the one who's going to dictate the market, as obviously every altcoin is being paired to BTC/altcoin.

I will agree that large institutions could be the market maker, but don't underestimate the average joe or retail investors like the majority of us. I think we are the one who is going to move the market into the bull run, not those large institutions as they could have set their stash already and waiting for the block halving and eventual bull run and see how they are going to profits.
563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Many Bets to Know How Good Enough You Are? on: November 26, 2023, 10:42:50 PM
For sports betting? I don't think there is like a set of numbers that you can used as a metrics here. Its because sports betting is not a game that is based on chance. Maybe if this is like a dice game, wherein around x number of spins you might find some variance and see that you are successful or not.

But it's sports betting it's very different, you can have just 1 parlay with 100x and then you win it and say that you are good enough already. However, there could be someone playing for a long time, bet is varied from time to time and still after 1000 bets, he is not winning anything.
564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: David Benavidez Vs Demetrius Andrade Interim WBC Super Middleweight title fight on: November 26, 2023, 10:22:03 PM
I agree with the majority here,

a. Benavidez is real and Canelo should be threaten by now
b. Bigger and younger
c. Power in both hands, will pressure anyone at this division
d. Can go as high as 175 lbs and potential fought the 2 head Russian champions, Dmitri Bivol or Arthur Beterviev

So the question, how long will Canelo Alvarez avoid David Benavidez?

Also Charlo won by a UD against the younger Benavidez, and with his going overweight, it might be good as well to throw his name in the mix for 168 lbs. A good storyline as well for David Benavidez if ever they will consider Charlo as another opponent in the future, avenge his brother's lost.
565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was This Client Kidnapped for Their Coins? on: November 26, 2023, 09:53:30 PM
If I understood your narration very well, I wouldn't be too warried about who the new person is behind the telegram account. I am more concerned about the deposit that has been made to you. Are you going to inform law enforcement agencies and give them the money so that they can carry out an investigation and where possible trace and return the money to the owner since the job was not done? Just block the new person and the problem is solved. Whenever the old person resurfaces, they can always reach via your telegram handle.

I don't think that money is the issue here, it was a upfront payment to the OP, so obviously he did the job and just waiting for the rest of the money for the completion. However, the person that he talks to Telegram suddenly disappear and then resurface as some time with a new name and that's why he is asking if it is still the original person that he talks that deposit $2,500 or a different one.

If it is a different person so when the hell does the original person that contacted him and give him the job and the downpayment?

So it's really hard to give advise here, we can all speculate as to what happen to the original person (I assume the OP thinks that hew as kidnapped?). Or it is still the same person, why he went silent after half a year and it seems that he is not concern with his $2,500 or if the job has been finished as agreed and on time?
566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Oscar Duarte (December 2) on: November 26, 2023, 09:41:46 PM
For this fight, Oscar Duarte looks huge, and his bodybuild for sure for me isis one tough fighter to crack open, Oscar Duarte really is a lightweight, and sure Ryan Garcia is looking for a big fight for his career, and this is it he found an opportunity to start his winning streak again, but for sure because Duarte has the durability I am seeing Garcia will have a hardtime against this guy for sure while Duarter for sure got the power he can surely smash anybody and if Oscar Duarte goes the distance then Duarte will surely make a point in knocking you down for sure,

He is one big physical specimen and probably that is the reason why he has power, because of how he was built in the first place. But we all know that there are boxers that might have a good power, however, if that chin is going to be tested by Ryan Garcia, we will have to see how strong Duarte's chin is.

While Ryan Garcia sure has the advantage on the speed with the power I really don't know if he can easily scare Oscar Duarte with that speed sure the striking output will be on his side and sure hydration clause was the one that has got him and was defeated by Gervonta Davis, but against Duarte, for sure that punching speed of Ryan Garcia, you can say that his speed with the accuracy was very dangerous combination for sure I think I will go with Ryan Garcia in this one,

That's what I'm saying, if Garcia landed a solid punch on Duarte's chin, we will see how he will react. If he can take that power and his chin hold, then it's going to be a problem for Ryan as for sure, Oscar will want to just steamroll on him, not worrying about his power and will likely go toe to toe. But if he felt it, then he might go on his bicycle and avoid those power from Garcia.
567  Economy / Speculation / Re: The volatility volumes of Bitcoin is not the Will of man on: November 25, 2023, 11:31:36 PM
We still have 4 or 5 of these cycles, so it will be similar to either the 2013 or 2017 cycle. In any case, the possibility of 50 thousand before the middle of the year is possible.
middle of next year, the $50K price of bitcoin is quite possible but as for the remaining month to wrap this year up, bitcoin cannot reach $50k. The bitcoin price is still battling to reach and cross the $38k price again. Not to talk of reaching $50k before the end of the year. Where I am speculating for $50k to come to fulfillment is the middle of next year towards the halving season.

CZ News will not effect prices.
I thought CZ news would have a side effect on Bitcoin price but it hasn't yet, rather the market keeps standing strong unshaken. Where I am looking out for the bitcoin price to fall in price, is when CZ tries to pay $4.3 billion charged fees against him through bitcoin. He may likely sell some of the Bitcoin he has on the Binance exchange. That will for sure decline the price of bitcoin. I am patiently waiting for that to happen so that I can accumulate more Bitcoin at a discount price.

Maybe our conservative estimates can be put around $40k-$50k at the end of the year. So we will have to see if $50k is doable or not, still up on how bullish the market will be in the next month.

I do agree though about the CZ news, it's a bit scary, but it didn't put any significant effect on the market. Its a huge news as we all know that CZ and Binance is the top crypto exchange. But then again, maybe we really doesn't care anymore about this kind of news as everyone is very bullish at this point.

And with that, market is up to $37k'ish and could move to $38k in the next couple of days or end of November and then the last month will be exciting for us.
568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subriel Matias vs. S. Ergashev (IBF jr. welterweight title) Nov. 4: Las Vegas on: November 25, 2023, 11:00:02 PM
Here is the official weigh-in for both fighters, both fighters are confident and very eager to face each other, so much is at stake for both fighters not only the title, but the 0 on their record I think both fighters are each other and would be the toughest opponent.
I expect nothing less than a knockout here both fighters have impressive knockout records, especially Matias, whoever wins this match I am sure will make a good impression in the boxing community and will be considered as a promising boxer to fight for more titles in the future.
I will not change my pick I still go for Ergashev here I still he has a better skill between the two.

I agree, this is a make or break fight for either fighter, Matias is the odd man out at the 140 lbs division, what I mean is that he is the only champion not recognized or unknown to some boxing fans as he is the IBF champion.

We have Prograis - WBC, Teo Lopez - WBO, Rolly Romero - WBA.

So anyone who's going to win can either face those champions for unification and cemented their names in this weight class.

Gonna be a great weekend for us and hopefully we can find free streams for the scheduled fights,  Grin
569  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most liquid companies in the gambling industry on: November 25, 2023, 10:43:00 PM
I have only heard of a few of the company names, such as Draftkings, Las Vegas Sands, and MGM Resorts. But I don't know how the company is and how good the company is. Maybe it's because these companies are offline casino companies so I don't know much about each company. But I am sure that each company will want to expand its business to other countries, especially to countries that support gambling. I was only interested in investing in those companies but then, I thought that it would require a lot of money to become one of the shareholders. So I don't intend to continue because I don't have much money. I'd rather just be a bitcoin investor Grin

It's because majority of them are really offline casinos and not crypto based. And I thought that I will see like Stake or other casinos that are early in the game or at least established in the pandemic in the last 3 years and doing billion dollar that's why they are illiquidated.

But if you are a regular player in traditional based casino, some of them will  ring a bell. And if you are a sport bettors, Draftkings could be one of those name that you will recognized. In any case, it's a good exposure that majority of them might not be familiar to us, but if you do your research you will understand why this companies are illiquid in the first place.
570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 25, 2023, 10:32:09 PM
No Kevin Durant tonight or Bradley Beal for the Phoenix Suns but they still managed to blow out the Grizzlies by 21 points. Devon Booker stepped up and scored 40 to get it done. You love to see it. I hope they get a chance to get a couple dozen games in with KD and Beal to go with Booker before the playoffs so they can get their game together.

The Grizzlies are the clear underdogs in this regular season, considering they are currently near the bottom of the standings. In other words, I think the Grizzlies can be called an easy opponent for almost any team in the NBA. Honestly, it would have been strange and even embarrassing for the Suns if they had lost to the Grizzlies, whether Durant and Beal performed or not.
Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr. couldn't lead the Grizzlies to win against the Suns and other previous games. Without Ja Morant all season long because of suspension, the team lost momentum showing how important Morant is for their performance. If Morant had played the Grizzlies this season might have had a better season overall.

So true, he is the leader of the team, without him, Grizzlies doesn't have that push to win. Although Bane as times trying to be their best player, it's going to be difficult for him and obviously he is not Ja Morant.

I think they've lost their swagger this year, trading Brooks and then the issue with Ja Morant still persisting. They might have to change somethings in the future if they want to be very competitive as they used to be in the West.
571  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Laging mag Screenshot ng Parlay. on: November 25, 2023, 09:58:10 PM

572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Holders Hesitant to Sell Despite Price Surge on: November 24, 2023, 11:17:08 PM
I wouldn't say that they are hesitant or what, perhaps majority of us has really mature, specially coming from the pandemic wherein Bitcoin stands out as one of the best assets to hold and be hedge against this kind of events.

So it only make sense for us to really hold and not sell anything and look for the long run. We are less than a year from halving, the catalyst for a bull run. So what's better to do is just to stay strong and focus and prepared for a new all time high in the future.

And there's a lot of time to accumulate, bull run is 2024-2025, so along the way you still make profits.
573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 24, 2023, 11:00:11 PM
Also for sure at the end of his current contract he might break more record so for sure we can see more greatness and we should enjoy it since once this guy retires we might don't see a same like him. Lebron might get that 42k-43k point miles stone but above 40k is already fine since this is already hard to break by any current player .

Given that Kareem's record stood for almost 39 years, LeBron's record is unlikely to be broken by anyone after his retirement. By the way, Durant currently has 27,3k points and is ranked second on the all-time scoring list among current players. Even if we assume that Durant performs until the end of his career as well as he is performing now, he still won't be able to catch up to LeBron.
For other players, that record would obviously be out of reach.

I find it unlikely that Durant will surpass LeBron. Durant has the ability to generate at least 30 points per game, showing his greatness as a true scorer. However, his past injury issues have significantly impacted his production. If I recall correctly, he was sidelined for the entire first season with the Nets, and there were subsequent instances of prolonged absences due to injuries. While I'm currently pleased to see Durant playing at his old level, there's an underlying concern that he might face injuries again, potentially causing problems for the Suns.

I also don't think that Durant can do it, if I'm not mistaken, he is in the top 10 already in scoring, but I doubt that he can still play at high level basketball just to chase that record of Lebron. And as you have said, there are seasons wherein he missed a lot of games in the Nets uniform after his injury from the Warriors.

On the other hand, LeBron has demonstrated the ability to care for his body. Perhaps luck has also been on his side, as he hasn't encountered significant problems with injuries. This factor makes it challenging for Durant to surpass LeBron in terms of sustained production.

Genetics and then he put it up one notch by taking care of his money, and investing on them with millions every year just to be in this shape even at his age. So yeah, that record will not be touch again for decades.
574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: David Benavidez Vs Demetrius Andrade Interim WBC Super Middleweight title fight on: November 24, 2023, 10:41:07 PM
Both David Benavidez and Demetrius Andrade make the desired weight,

Benavidez at 167 pounds
Andrade at 167.6 pounds

However, Charlo came in overweight, 3.4 pounds against Benavidez Jr. This fight is at a catchweight of 163 pounds, and yet Charlo came in still close to the super middleweight at 166.4 pounds.

Not sure if this fight is going to continue, but there are talks that Charlo will have to pay Benavidez as penalty for going over the catchweight so that they can just proceed with the fight.

It is also reported that the weigh in was done behind close doors with no media around.
575  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Fee Observer Thread in USD(sat/vB) on: November 24, 2023, 10:21:31 PM

Code:
No Priority | Low Priority | Medium Priority | High Priority
22 sat/vB       44 sat/vB       49 sat/vB          51 sat/vB
$1.16           $2.32            $2.59               $2.69

source: https://mempool.space/

Bahagyang bumaba pa tayo,

Code:
No Priority | Low Priority | Medium Priority | High Priority
22 sat/vB       32 sat/vB       33 sat/vB          33 sat/vB
$1.16           $1.69            $1.74              $1.74

576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 17th FEBRUARY 2024 on: November 24, 2023, 09:36:38 PM
As per the latest odds:

Fury: 1.62
Usyk - 2.21

The odds I saw in box.live have a significant difference from those you've given. Where did you get those odds? Are those taken from a betting platform? In box.live the odds were 1.53 for Fury and 2.5 for Usyk. In Sportsbet, it's the same for Fury at 1.53 although lower for Usyk at 2.28. I'm for Fury in this fight. If I can find better odds for Fury like those that you've posted, I'd be interested to bet an outright. I really am not expecting an upset on this one.

Sorry for the late reply, but I have taken it from Stake. But yeah, it seems that there's mad swing as far the betting odds as I have check just now and the odds are:

Fury: 1.57
Usyk: 2.30

Maybe some whales decided to throw early money on Fury and thinking to take advantage of that good odds in the beginning. Sometimes this kind of swing odds happen very early or very late in the fight, like days before the actual fight, some entities will suddenly also do the same and bet large amount.
577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you bet on when your league is in break? on: November 23, 2023, 11:33:50 PM
It is best to only bet on leagues, sports, teams, and players with whom we are mostly familiar. So in case your favorite league taking a break and you aren't familiar with the other leagues and sports then maybe stick to doing other stuff than betting. Or at least explore other leagues and sports that you are also interested in so you can start betting with decent chances of winning.

As for me, I am a sports lover so I am not short of it really. But since we only have limited time to watch and analyze our bets I only stick to the ones I am interested in most. At the moment I am mostly into NBA (basketball), boxing, DOTA 2 (esports), and UFC (mixed martial arts).

Yep, and it's good that all year round we have boxing matches, some of them well known fights, and others as some other entertaining fight for us but it's going to be a gauge whether this fighter can be the next superstar or there will be hype around them.

I also do bet on UFC and even local basketball, so that's basically what I bet.

And I do agree that we should also play and bet on sports that we are familiar, we can copy other bet, but I don't think that it is going to be healthy in the long run as for me, we should do other own analysis in any of the sports that we are going to bet.
578  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Illiquid Supply Hits An All-Time High on: November 23, 2023, 11:18:46 PM
The accumulation of 70% of Bitcoin remaining stationary for over a year is a significant milestone. Just think despite Bitcoin's rise from $15,700 to around $37,000 in the last 12 months, a vast majority hasn't budged. I vividly recall the November 2022 FTX crisis when Bitcoin's price plummeted, critics predicted its demise, and the media celebrated prematurely.

Those who celebrated during the crash are those who are anti-bitcoin, on the other hand, smart investors took advantage of that collapse to fatten their wallet. And as I have said previously, we are now 100% in profit in just 12 months. So other assets can give us that huge profit for just holding and buying at that lowest low.

Yet, none of this affected Bitcoin holders. They held firm and even increased their holdings over the next year. Despite complexities like geopolitics or Fed policy, the basics remain: supply and demand. With stagnant supply and increasing demand, the price is bound to rise. This aligns with Satoshi Nakamoto's insights, buying a scarce asset only drives its price higher.

Those who hold was here for the long run and obviously will not budge even for an inch during that time. And it's good that you mentioned geopolitics because it doesn't have any effect at all to us.

The lesson is clear
Conviction matters. Accumulating and holding onto a scarce asset, regardless of volatility, can yield rewards. Looking ahead, with factors like the halving, potential policy changes, and a potential Bitcoin ETF approval, the next 18-24 months promise excitement. The world is slowly realizing the power of a dedicated group accumulating a scarce asset. it's an intriguing time for Bitcoin. Cheers to what lies ahead.  Cheesy

Yes, not just conviction, that is already a given fact, but we have that kind of mental patience, hard, gritty every week doing DCA and not be tempted to sell any at this point because we are just about to hit the bull run next year.
579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Something you don't have to forget on: November 23, 2023, 10:53:43 PM
Most people never knew Bitcoin will be this huge and important because I wish they do everyone would've at least have 10 of it but again there are people who have this Bitcoin but because the value then was not encouraging most people lost their wallet password,  am saying this because I know most people do actually lost their wallet password before they heard Bitcoin is now a great coin.
However,  what am saying in essence is that whatsoever coin you have or you are mining please keep it safe and don't forget your password very important because you can't and will never recover the password.  I believed within a short time most of these coin will have a great value,  a value that one of it will change your story.

However, there is still time though to accumulate, it might not be as huge as what we plan because everyone is late or the timing is bad, but you need to be very positive and look for the long term, at least 5 years will be good to see and gauge if you really make it here.

Of course, you need conscious effort to accomplished it, like slowly accumulating and then holding and protecting all your assets be it bitcoin or any other altcoin if you are into it. So don't be discourage, and just look at bitcoin, one year ago we are at our lowest low, but check the price right now, we have gain more than 100%.

And I think investors in the last couple of years are getting smart and knows how to safely secure their private keys or mnemonic phrase.
580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 23, 2023, 10:41:35 PM
Congrats LeBron for 39k points. It's always nice to witness this kind of record. I'm sure we'll see 40k points before he retires.

LeBron's current contract ends after the 24/25 season, and this is most likely the last contract of his career. In other words, LeBron will play in the NBA for at least two more seasons, including the current regular season, which means he's going to break the 40k point mark anyway. Personally, I expect LeBron will have 42-43k points by the time he decides to end his career.

If things will not go according to his plan and he get injuries then maybe he would think about retirement. But if he's plan will come together and still he can dominate in the floor then maybe that contract will be extended especially if he can play with his kid since this is speculated to happen by LBJ fans.

Also for sure at the end of his current contract he might break more record so for sure we can see more greatness and we should enjoy it since once this guy retires we might don't see a same like him. Lebron might get that 42k-43k point miles stone but above 40k is already fine since this is already hard to break by any current player .

I think two years minimum, that's how long James can still play competitively and just waiting for Bronny to come in the NBA before he retires, so yeah, most likely a season wherein he can score at least 2000 points then he will be on his way to have 42k-$43k points in his entire career and I don't think that anyone can break that record.

And we all know how James is also a freak, a genetic anomaly that he was able to stay this long in the NBA and still have that kind of bounce and competitiveness in him to score or average more than 20 points a game, can still run and chase down blocks and hammer that ball hard.
