461  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The latest binance p2p scam and how to avoid them on: December 10, 2023, 11:52:33 PM
Just wondering... How will the scammer extract my email address linked to the exchange if I gave him non?
I think traders also need to be very vigilant with the sensitive information, such as an email address.

P2P trading 101: Do you share trading information or use another channel of communication rather than the chat channel provided by the escrow service/exchange platform. Most exchanges also have a provision for phishing codes, so such a fake email address can be so easy to identify.
462  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Secure on holding my btc on electrum on: December 10, 2023, 11:38:27 PM
Is it good to store for a long term ?
It's all good so long as the device in which the wallet software is installed is secure, airgapped, and you have good seed phrase back up practices like avoiding copying and pasting the seed, avoiding cloud storage etc. You won't even see the need to buy a hardware wallet.
463  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why Binance charge me $2K more than the current BTC price? on: December 10, 2023, 11:29:43 PM
The price difference when you are logged out could be a technical error from Binance's side, but still you have to log in in order to make a purchase, so it doesn't really matter. Contact their support to correct the error

The price difference when logged in could be due to a number of factors, from spread, to other purchasing fees. Obviously, Binance will have to charge you a premium for the "convenience". Several exchanges do this if you are making an express trade.
If you can a more reasonable price, try looking at offers on their c2c platform (or what they call p2p on the app)
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: IceRiver Europe - NEW BATCH OF KS0 PROs! on: December 10, 2023, 10:56:04 PM
It is necessary to at least disable the ability to create self-moderated topics for beginners and users without reputation. It is not difficult to do, but there are many benefits. Scammers are currently removing malware warnings from their threads. Additionally, you cannot add a warning flag for self-moderated topics. The moderator is not always available and takes time to consider the complaint. Thus, the scammer has a greater chance that his virus will be downloaded by inexperienced users if there is no way to warn them in the comments, because the scammer has the ability to delete such comments.
That has been suggested several times, but the admin has considered not to be too strict on newbies since some of them are genuine. This will lead to a natural death of the forum.

About posting malware, as soon as you see any user post that, just report it to the mods or post it in a dedicated thread in meta. The mods will immediately ban the user. They have zero tolerance on malware. What they don't moderate is scam.
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is FLOWCOIN vs FLOW COIN. on: December 10, 2023, 10:40:40 PM
When exactly did the airdrop or airdrop announcement happen, OP? Was it last year?
It will make it easier to figure out which coin you are holding in your address. You could also actually see the date of airdrop from a blockchain explorer.

I see so many flow coin "airdrops" on doing a small search. Gotta be careful to avoid getting scammed.
466  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading on: December 10, 2023, 10:10:04 PM
Who came up with these figures or percentages?

I believe the biggest percentage should be risk management. Without proper risk management, your account will blow up in no time, and you won't be able to trade anymore.
If someone automated their good working strategy, what would the 80% Psychology be for?
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: IceRiver Europe - NEW BATCH OF KS0 PROs! on: December 09, 2023, 02:57:55 PM
Why hasn't the author of the topic been banned yet? Hes created several topics with fake links.
Original website is only iceriver.io
Unfortunately, the forum moderation policy states that scam or scam accusations are not in their scope of moderation, as it will take a lot of time and work for the moderators to determine if a service is a scam or not. It will also cause a lot of disputes which the forum admins are not ready to moderate.

The good thing is that DT members can tag and flag profiles that promote scam. Anybody who cares to do some due diligence will be able to see the warnings.
468  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help me to calculate my trading profit on: December 09, 2023, 02:37:39 PM
Somebody told me about power of compound on spot Market taking altcoin and buying in when btc is monthly low
it's not a guarantee, mate, compounding looks awesome if the market is on an uptrend every other week but in trading expect some loses to due to the downtrend. What if Bitcoin decides to drop back to 15K from today and stay in that range for 6 months, will your startegy still work?

Also think about the trading fees

use this tool for results that are close to realistic - winrate.io
469  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: UI/UX Design for Crypto and Web3 Projects on: December 09, 2023, 02:14:14 PM
You made your service announcement in the wrong board. You should probably move it to;
Services or Service Announcements if you accept payments in Bitcoin
Service Announcements (Altcoins) if you accept payments in altcoins
470  Other / Meta / Re: (Any Guesses?) Are there many real (unpaid) people still posting here at BCT? on: December 05, 2023, 10:45:50 PM
Why not?

Perhaps you are watching the wrong boards? Like gambling discussion?
I would say a post is real if they were not wearing a paid signature, and unreal if otherwise. Also know lots of members who wear signatures are their contributions are "real" and those who don't and they are just a nuisance. So it all depends on how you look at it and which boards you are always viewing.

can you help me out
Just sit this one out, mate. If it's not so urgent because;
1. No free service will be able to accelerate for you a transaction that size
2. Paid service will charge you so much fees (well they can even shamelessly ask for $1000 worth of fees for that transaction) that you wouldn't be left with much
3. bumping the transaction fee would also mean you will spend allot in transaction fees because of the so many inputs you have in the transaction as already pointed out by some members.

Learn how to consolidate your small inputs whenever the fee rates drop.
472  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Swap btc to usdt deal on: December 05, 2023, 09:50:56 PM
Who the hell holds $5M worth of crypto to just trade off in the forum which could be risky when dealing with partners with no past trust and tedious, yet exchanges are there?
If you hate KYC, checkout these exchanges that my handle your BTC/USDT deals (https://kycnot.me/?type=exchange) that is if you even have that amount lying around your accounts not actually looking for someone to scam.
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: karlsencoin(KLS) mining on: December 05, 2023, 09:28:23 PM
It is impossible to enter coins into my account due to an error in creating an address for the coin.
Where are you getting this error from? Tradeogre or somewhere else?
On TrageOgre, I didn't get any problem generating the address for the coin. If this mini bull pump continues, the coin might also perform well.

>>snip<<
Or maybe there's no “dirty” or “clean” bitcoin at all. Bitcoin is just Bitcoin but law enforcement and these centralized exchanges are trying so hard to make us think that our Bitcoin have to be “clean” if the source is anonymous, then they are not clean. Also, they are trying to force us into abandoning to use Bitcoins for daily activities for the fear of the bitcoins you own being tagged as “dirty”
Let's be honest, have you ever had anything like Clean dollars and dirty dollars? Should we say that the USD has never been used for Money Laundering or Financing terrorism?
475  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: December 05, 2023, 01:59:09 PM
Its true that they (US + Netherlands) briefly took over Hansa market after AlphaBay was shut down - perhaps the most famous of all bitcoin/darknet "honeypots" - but they only used evidence gathered to prosecute vendors on the market who were already active..
I have seen this happen when it made rounds on the news that an IRS agent had posed a crypto vendor on the Localcryptos marketplace just to collect evidence from some guy they had been tracking down for some time. It was an interesting case.  Cheesy
476  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] kycnot.me | Open-source list of non-kyc services on: December 05, 2023, 01:25:48 PM
At your landing page[1], at the bottom, there are links to TOR, I2P, Mastodon, Nostr. At the About page [2], there is information for social media with some social media accounts but I see one is missing.

It's Bitcointalk account and announcement thread.
[1] https://kycnot.me/
[2] https://kycnot.me/about#social-media

May you think to attach information about Bitcointalk account and this announcement thread on kycnot.me, please?
Looks like Pluja no longer comes back to this thread

I also don't understand why the request to fix is inactive (https://kycnot.me/request/fix). Could be an easier place to report such issues.

The other option is to report the issue on Gitlab (https://gitlab.com/kycnot/kycnot.me/-/issues)

I don't think their official onion link is working correctly right now, at least not for me.
First I thought there was something wrong with my Tor browsers, so I tried the same link in Brave-Tor browser with same results.
I can't find anything on their gitlab page, so maybe they shut it down.
It doesn't work for me too
477  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 100$ scam in Binane 3rd part services on: December 04, 2023, 11:51:45 PM
How do this third party services get listed on Binance marketplace? Do they take time to vet the services before listing them, or anyone just goes on to list their service there?
I have so far see 2 different card services in the marketplace. The cryptocard game is another really very slippery slope where one can easily end off getting scammed.

And when testing such services for the first time, one should deposit smaller amounts like 10–20 bucks
478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BTC sent by mistake to localbitcoins wallet. How to recover? on: December 04, 2023, 11:16:24 PM
>>snip<<
That's very sad to know. Losing that amount of Bitcoins very well, knowing the bull market might be around the corner, is terrifying. I just hope the Local bitcoins team gets their faces off their asses, stop acting like robot and help you out like normal humans who know that people can make mistakes. You might start trying to engage with the actual founds on social media platforms if they have accounts there.
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Tornado Cash: A Privacy Mixer on Ethereum? on: December 04, 2023, 10:55:26 PM
https://cointelegraph.com/news/tornado-cash-token-falls-binance-announces-delisting
"Tornado Cash is a cryptocurrency mixing protocol, and TORN is used to vote on proposals for upgrading the protocol. From Nov. 26 to 27, the token took a nosedive, falling from $3.90 to just $1.66 — a decline of 57%. The price decline happened as the world’s largest crypto exchange by volume, Binance, announced that it would stop accepting deposits of TORN on Dec. 8 and no longer process withdrawals after March 7, 2024."
https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/tornado-cash
That day they delisted a number of other tokens that also dumped so hard. The coins including waltonchain, Bitshares, PERL. I am not sure if the delisting comes at a time when Binance is under fire from the regulators, or this is just their routine.

I am actually surprised that TORN was still trading on the exchange after all this time.
480  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I have 64 Fantom Bitcoin for sale , as of now market value is less on swaps on: December 04, 2023, 09:56:06 PM
Hasn't even offered a payment method that is to be exchanged for the Fantom Wrapped bitcoin sale. Made the announcement on Bitcointalk but wants the deal to be done over telegram. This is rather unserious and fishy to me.

Would you mind sharing your fantom-wrapped Bitcoin address?
I will be damned if he does that.
