Could the site be having a technical issue, or it's no longer operational?

1202  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to use if…then… for scripting in trading coin? on: April 10, 2023, 03:43:38 PM
It's why proper risk management is very important in trading.

A bad trader is one that only looks at the good side (profits) and doesn't even think about the bad side (losses) should the prediction go wrong. Before approaching any trade, One should ask themselves a few questions
- What is the risk reward ratio?
- How much can I afford to lose should things go bad?

If things don't look favorable, trust your gut and avoid the trade. Keep your account up to trade another day. the market will always be there.
1203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sushiswap hacked on: April 09, 2023, 11:37:32 PM
But on the other hand my question is, how many dex hacks there needs to be until you would accept that current tech isn't even near for wide adoption? As we have all the responsibility of our money, even in cases of DEX hacks, how in the million years this tech would be adopted by anyone else then experimental libertarians?
Because they are not Decentralized Exchanges anyway. They are just bunches of copy-cat smart contract codes running on different centralized chains created to make money off noobs who have no idea what a decentralized exchange is.

A few years from now, no one will even think of using any of them. Remember Etherdelta?
1204  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SushiSwap Contract in Danger - Revoke Fast on: April 09, 2023, 10:54:09 PM
Further Certik tweeted that multiple chains has been hacked and mentioned contract of each network which has been exploited
Quote
Affected contract addresses:
ETH: 0x044b7
BSC: 0xd75f
POLY: 0x5097
AVAX: 0xbace
FTM: 0x3e60
This what happens when chains are just copy-cats of the others, nothing much new in the code or how they operate. Just copy-paste. One chain gets an exploit and all the other will have the same problem.

Another important thing is to always use virgin address when interacting with smart contracts. Only what one wants to trade or exchange should be in the address and not the whole portfolio.

I hope the traders revoke the permissions fast enough before they become the next victims.
1205  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 0.01 BTC loan defaulted by (MakeMoneyBtc) on: April 09, 2023, 09:50:03 PM
I want to update my thread. I have created an accusation for 0.01BTC against MakeMoneyBtc. Today I received 0.002BTC. If I calculate the price of Bitcoin then I have got my money back which I sent to him. But unfortunately, it is not as I can't consider this as sold BTC at that time. In this case, if I waive the interest after the accusation then the remaining amount should be 0.008BTC. So, I am not removing negative trust or not asking anyone to remove the trust.
So his next couple of months would then come 4 years later? Damn, some people can be so shameless.

What I wanted to say is that I'm going to pay my loan back when I will have all the money available, probably sometime in the next couple months.
That money even by today's Bitcoin can be payable if he was serious. In fact, in order to show that he's sorry, he should at least double it to 0.02 BTC
1206  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Btc mining or staking crypto? on: April 07, 2023, 11:53:34 PM
I plan on investing in the crypto space, but for long term. Between mining and staking, which one would be a better option?

Mining is a long term investment and just like any other business, you can never really be too sure about how profitable mining will be in the future.

Staking is more like a Ponzi scheme. Never ever believe those APR/APY's they talk about. They can change, or the staking platform can suddenly stop. If I were you, just buy any of the top solid coins you believe in, store the coins in your hardware wallet, sit back and relax until a certain time when you see a desirable profit.
1207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is crazy on: April 07, 2023, 10:59:01 PM
In all the data you put out there, you forgot that there's something called burning of tokens. The Shib team can decide to burn its excess token tomorrow and that will cause price to frog leap. After all, BNB also did it.
I didn't actually forget about the burning. Even if Half of the supply is burned in this short time, the price will still be unrealistic

OK, I know BNB is a shitcoin but come on, apart from the periodic burns, we all know why BNB is that much worth and the biggest factors are the backing of Binance exchange. Does SHIB have any external backing where it's price can artificially be manipulated?
1208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is crazy on: April 04, 2023, 11:55:00 PM
Don't say never. This industry is highly unpredictable. Nothing is certain in the crypto industry. That was how so many people never believed in Bitcoin when it debuted. None ever imagined that Bitcoin could get to $1k let alone $10k. Today, we all know better.
I said in the next bull run, It's not possible... You can't compare bitcoin to Shiba Inu, no offense.

Look at this
Current circulating supply of SHIB - 589,543,681,764,963. It's 14th with a total market cap of $6,614,625,276 at the price of $0.00001122. If the price ever got to $50
At the current circulating supply, the total market cap would be 29,477,184,088,248,150. Over Twenty-nine quadrillion USD just for shib only! The total market cap is barely 1 Trillion USD.

Do you think this is even realistic at all?
1209  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] | Best Bitcoin Mixer | Low fees | Fully automated on: April 04, 2023, 08:00:13 PM
I wonder what the general reason is that no mainstream mixer really gets into altcoins. Any thoughts from anyone? It seems like it'd be a neat opportunity to differentiate yourself and offer a service to people beyond just the Bitcoin-focused community. And as the altcoin grows in traction, you'd grow with it.

1. Because Bitcoin is fully decentralized
2. Demand! It dictates everything and it happens that the demand to mix bitcoins for privacy reasons is high up there

For Ethereum, Tornado cash tried, but we all know what happened. Also what's the point of an Ethereum mixer if there are smart contract based marketplaces like uniswap.

Besides, there are privacy leaning altcoins like Monero, Dash, Zcash... so there's no point in mixing altcoins if you can access privacy based coins.

For other shitcoins like BNB, SOL etc are centralized. They can even freeze the assets if they want.
1210  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paxful to shutdown! on: April 04, 2023, 07:43:31 PM
I dont know anything about Remitano but Hodl Hodl is pretty much better service. I dont think itself going to shut down. Their business model isn't the same of Paxful.
Obviously, the model is not the same as Paxful, I agree. But so was localcryptos. It's still vulnerable to external pressures since it's not decentralized.

HodlHodl is not censorship resistant to even any degree like Bisq. Government and law enforcement can shut it or force the owners to shut it down anytime they want.
1211  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Paxful to shutdown! on: April 04, 2023, 04:33:22 PM
First it was Localcryptos announcing a shutdown around 21 October last year  - LocalCryptos is shutting down and then Localbitcoins annouces on 9th- Feb 2023 that they as shutting - LocalBitcoins will discontinue its serviceand now paxful!

Which one next? HodlHodl? Remitano?

I think we are now seeing a pattern here.

Btw, does anyone have a clue what kind of regulatory challenges are they all talking about, cause everyone claims the same thing without bothering to go one sentence further?
I think most of them are shutting down before regulators come for their asses, or they might have already received warnings, especially given the fact that they are headquartered in known jurisdictions that can act cocky towards crypto at any time. For example Localcryptos was Australian based, Localcryptos was based in Finland, Paxful is based in Delaware US though some sources claim that they have head quaters in Estonia

1212  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [List] Instant exchanges on: April 04, 2023, 04:05:59 PM
>>snip<<
That makes sense now. I wasn't able to see any TOS as they would even allow me to see the homepage of their platform

What I am curious about is if they still offer the instant exchange feature. The last time I check them, it seems they had changed the way they operate things to just buying and selling crypto for fiat. Is it still the case?
1213  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [List] Instant exchanges on: April 04, 2023, 02:30:09 PM
Not sure what happened to coinswitch but I don't think it deserves to be on the list of instant exchanges anymore. The whole layout is now different. More like regular exchanges where you purchase or Bitcoin for fiat and vice versa. Like how coinbase.com operates.

I don't see the feature to instantly exchange crypto to crypto like it used to be.

That's strange. It does appear that they're no longer offering that service but I can't find any official statements from the team. CoinSwitch Kuber (the fiat exchange) officially launched back in 2020[1] but at the time, the exchange aggregator was still running... I'll remove it from the list, thanks for letting me know.

[1] https://medium.com/coinswitch/coinswitch-kuber-is-officially-live-e4dbfc7d1d33

You forgot to remove coinswitch from the list mate  Wink

Now they are even geo-blocking users. Is anyone else able to access it or does anyone know from which particular jurisdiction they are accepting clients?

1214  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Deflation in signature campaigns on: April 04, 2023, 02:18:29 PM
It's a pity it was a joke. I think many of us believed the joke because it was the right time to make it. After the CM campaign ended, many of us expected other campaigns to push the rates up to get the best posters, which has started to happen with the whirlwind.money campaign.

We will have to see how things develop in the coming months, now that we have no fools days in sight.
Yeah, I fell for it too  Grin

Maybe because we have different time zones, so by the time I saw the announcements, I thought It was way beyond the time for April 1st jokes.
But still credit to him for bringing in a number of signature campaigns. The number of active signature campaigns is so good, actually. It doesn't even feel like it's a bear market.

If anyone remembers the period in the bear market between 2018-2019. It was bad! There were barely any good signature campaigns and their rates were low.
1215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Ledger hacked, 30 BTC stolen on 04/02/2023 on: April 03, 2023, 11:52:55 PM
You rendered your hardware wallet useless as soon as you stored the seeds on a text file on a PC which is probably infected.

30 BTC is really huge and devastating to lose. I don't know if I would be in the right mental state for some days, maybe weeks, if this kind of thing happened to me. The hacker will most likely move the Bitcoins through a bitcoin mixer before cashing out, so maybe you could try to make use of blockchain analytic companies as suggested, but it will be at a fee.

If the Bitcoins ended up in an exchange address that is traceable, again you are going to have to get a lawyer, involve law enforcement and the court to try and get information from an exchange about the owner of the account

But just know, chances are super slim that you could get back even a satoshi.
1216  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: We are here to help you grow your social media on: April 03, 2023, 11:31:35 PM
how exactly do you grow social media?

by adding fake followers, likes, retweets and such?
it's obvious, isn't it?

No organic followers, Likes and retweets. In the long run, it doesn't make sense if one is going to have their profile get followed by only bots. At one point, the bots will definitely get purged as well.
1217  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did I can make platform without KYC verification on: April 03, 2023, 11:21:29 PM
You can have it on Remitano and that Peer-to-Peer marketplace provides you wallets for Bitcoin, some cryptocurrencies as well as for fiat currencies.

You have multiple modes to trade on Remitano: Buy / Sell, Swap, etc.
https://remitano.com/
Are you aware that remitano need KYC verification?

Also, I don't Remitano is anything close to being a peer to peer marketplace because Remitano still acts as a third party.
It's just another poor man's version of local bitcoins

The only truly well-known p2p decentralized exchange is bisq.
1218  Other / Archival / Re: [banned mixer] - The best Mixer for the best percentage ! on: April 03, 2023, 11:08:47 PM
Everything in the bot is in English, except for the description of the bot profile. Yes it is also a mixer.
Also, thanks for the typo.
I am just curious.

The idea could be good, but why the telegram bot, though?

Don't you think this can put you and the user privacy in great danger, knowing that telegram can submit whatever information they are required to any law enforcement folks?
1219  Economy / Services / Re: Looking to buy Udemy courses with Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies? on: April 03, 2023, 09:46:16 PM
I know you have got to start off from somewhere, but how exactly are we expected to trust a service a month old with non-reversible Bitcoin transactions?

The other issue would be what is going to stop Udemy from getting your website put off for legal reasons?
1220  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Spammer Blacklist] The Shitlist on: April 03, 2023, 09:27:38 PM
More than 15 months almost passed and i am still waiting for list to be update. I request Actmyname to please check list again and if someone deserve to be removed from the list then it will be better to remove him.
I sort of understand why you came back to this thread... The fact that you have tried to apply for many signature campaigns, and you haven't been accepted yet. I suggest you try to improve your posting style.

A campaign manager will enroll you regardless of the neutral on your profile because they actually check your post history after you apply.
