1161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Iron Fish rises to become the most profitable PoW coin to mine with your GPU! on: April 22, 2023, 10:58:30 PM
LOL $13 get the fuck outta here
This exchange claims that it's worth $13. Never heard of the exchange before, it's my first time hearing about it today, so I don't think I can even trust it  Cheesy
https://safe.trade/trading/ironusdt

Worse still, the chart looks weird. 5 minute chart shows that the coin was worth $100+ at some point today and a low of $1 on the same day. Manipulation?

1162  Economy / Service Discussion / Is Tornado cash still up and usable? on: April 22, 2023, 10:35:43 PM
I have come across a tornado cash looking site, but I am not sure if it's real or a phishing site?

https://ipfs.io/ipns/tornadocash.eth/

We know the original site was blacklisted (https://tornado.cash)

I am seeing another alternative on the Wikipedia page, but they don't look similar to the one above (https://beacon.cash)
This is what I got from the wiki

After the sanctions on Tornado Cash, numerous attempts were made to create new mixers. One of the major privacy concerns with Ethereum staking is the potential exposure of personal information and counterparty risks. To address these issues, a new mixer called Beacon.Cash has been developed using Tornado Cash core contracts. The protocol was created by Alexey Pertsev, who also developed Tornado Cash. While it is primarily used as a way to tumble crypto, it may also face sanctions for its potential use in staking.
1163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: April 21, 2023, 11:58:11 PM

I still can't use it, can you please confirm if you indeed used Digital GOLD Marketplace last hours?
My bad  Tongue

I actually just checked it, but wasn't keen enough to see that the option to swap the coins has been removed. How long has this issue been going on?

I don't see the pair in the remaining exchange as well.
1164  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Why Coinmarketcap and Coingecko help scammers ? on: April 21, 2023, 11:32:28 PM
Coin ranking sites (coinmarketcap and coingecko) don't care much about the legitimacy of a project or exchange. What they mostly care about is traffic so that they can earn money from adverts and referral links

If you don't do due diligence yourself, and get scammed. Then you are to blame.

I made this post about 4 years ago about how investors and traders are getting fucked left, right and center... but at that time it was mostly about ICOs, but the narrative hasn't changed

Current situation, how investors/traders are enriching these three.
1165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Current situation, how investors/traders are enriching these three. on: April 21, 2023, 11:19:08 PM
would appreciate 2023 version
Replace ICOs with DeFi's, NFTs, or what shitcoins we have had this time round, and you will have the same narrative

Each bull run, it's always the same scenario. Just different token names.
1166  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Welcome to XGo - The Crypto Platform for Everyone on: April 21, 2023, 10:50:09 PM
I don't ask myself a question, but I ask a question to the topic creator.
P.S. If you have vision problems, see your doctor.
Do you think we are stupid here?

You have no idea how much I hate shill accounts that are just created to bump threads and build fake buzz. In fact, I totally doubt the credibility of service that go down the path of using shill accounts

For that case, when I get time, I am going to leave feedback on all your shill accounts. In fact, I was trying to be lenient. Well, not anymore.
1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: April 20, 2023, 11:49:00 PM
I haven't experienced any problems when i was exchanging GOLD token to ETH just after Digital GOLD Marketplace was open again,
also wait to buy more GOLD tokens before gold price will go up even higher
So wwzsocki is the last man standing  Grin

Glad to see that the project I promoted some years back is still up and running (Very few make it past 1–2 years without rugging users). Marketplace seems fine.

This makes me believe that the Digital GOLD team has always had good intentions. Keep the fire burning, folks!
1168  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Welcome to XGo - The Crypto Platform for Everyone on: April 18, 2023, 11:59:51 PM
WARNING

This Exchange is using shill accounts to bump the thread and create a fake hype. The exchange is suspicious and is a most likely scam, please refer to this thread for more details about their shady behavior  - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5448660.0

Got it, thanks for the reply.
Do you plan to add your site to Coincap?
Hey shill account, why are you asking yourself a question?

Your accounts were connected here

Not just that.

Including OP, who just woke up to post about the mysterious exchange. Notice the similarity in their activity patterns

1. n0tailbg Woke up 4/13/2023 10:27:39 AM
2. aria.newman Woke up 4/14/2023 10:12:39 AM

Also, more shills in the other thread

4. .cryptokiller Woke up 4/13/2023 7:34:12 AM
5.  frank07a Woke up 4/14/2023 10:02:26 AM

This clearly shows that this exchange should not be trusted at all.

1169  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OrangeWebsite.com is a SCAM Iceland web hosting OrangeWebsite is a SCAM BEWARE! on: April 18, 2023, 11:52:50 PM
So how are we going to judge if orangewebsite.com is a scam or not without any proof to show how you were scammed.

You might want to move this post to Scam accusations board and use a better scam report format like this one

1170  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Kucoin Futures - Trade Easier, Profit More! on: April 18, 2023, 11:35:48 PM
I have been thinking of sharing this for a long time but was confused whether sharing it with you will get anything good or not.
There's an official telegram group- Kucoin Bangladesh.
I was surprised to see they were using automated translator to post the update despite the fact that they have moderators from Bangladesh. I haven't responded there since it may hurt them. You can check out the updates in Bengali and they are weird to read because of automated translation.
I don't know why some exchanges do this yet there are people who know the native language who would be more than willing to do the job including some members in this forum. There's a certain exchange where I contacted their live chat support using English and guess what?  Grin

The person responding to me was using a translator of sorts. In fact, below the text, the word "translated" was in the brackets. I stopped the inquiries there and then.
1171  Economy / Lending / Re: $10 BNB Loan Req, Payback $15 April 19th on: April 18, 2023, 11:26:30 PM
Can somebody please help me with $10 worth of BNB on the Binance Smart Chain?

I will repay $15 tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow morning ain't far, is it?

Just wait it out. You won't die  Wink

I need the funds to attempt to get an airdrop.
if you are being asked for money in order to receive an airdrop, it's probably scam

Quote
Absolute worst case scenario you lose $10 which wouldn't hurt too much.
Nice try. Even if I had 10 million dollars seated in an account. I would rather donate the $10 to someone who genuinely needs it rather than an internet stranger seeking for an "airdrop"

if I'm just some shoddy scammer. I can even send you a picture of me holding my Canadian Photo ID if that will make you more comfortable.
Not necessary

-->> Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ

33. Posting plagiarized content is not allowed.[e]

33. This includes both copying parts or the entirety of other users' posts or threads and copying content from external sources (e.g. other websites) and passing it as your own.

If your brain is functioning well, and you are sober enough, you should be able to understand everything right up there

You have been in that forum for almost a year and still ask questions like someone who just joined yesterday. Do you know how to use the forum search button?
1173  Other / Meta / Re: offordscott - ban appeal on: April 18, 2023, 10:29:51 PM
I, for one, was shocked when I noticed that offordscott had been banned. He doesn't come off as a person who would plagiarize text for financial gain, but the account getting hacked and the person behind the hack posting malicious links might be true, as I have seen some victims in the past.

offordscott has been offering his service and has tried to build his reputation over time. He is one of the few trust members who sell mining gear in the forum. Out there, we have all sorts of scammers

I would like the Mods and admins to look into this and maybe unban his account if their findings prove that OP might be innocent. They could also look at the IP logs to determine if the account change hands at the point the malicious links were posted or not.

1175  Other / Meta / Re: Can a permanently banned account recieve a PM? on: April 18, 2023, 12:06:33 AM
But to be sure, a mod needs to ban you permanently, you check how it words and then report it with your temporary alt account (meta only) then the mod unban you again 🤣
No, thank you  Grin

Btw why do you asked @op?
There's some member who sells some mining gear who was banned, and I wanted to contact him via PM, but I wasn't sure if my message would get to him.

Anyway, thanks all for the inputs.
1176  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Bitcoin in 1 Minute charts on: April 17, 2023, 11:56:12 PM
I'm brand new here, I just wondered if many people trade Crypto in the 1 Minute time zone? what is the preferred time zone, for most traders?
Most suitable for traders practicing scalp trading strategies, but very tiring and requires a lot of screen time. If one is using a trading bot to automate the scalping technique, then well and good

However, 1-minute time frames are not good for technical analysis because the candle patterns are very unpredictable as compared to longer time frames. Most traders I have seen prefer longer time frames for technical analysis and to make informed decisions before opening positions.
1177  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Essential one to new traders in Crypto currency on: April 17, 2023, 11:47:24 PM
1.Crypto currency is not a stock market trading, you need to wait longer period as compared to the stock market. In stock, you can earn 5% in short period, but in crypto it take short or longer based on the market flow.
I think you are mistaken here. If there is anything true, it's actually the opposite. Cryptocurrency markets are more volatile and therefore one can make a higher ROI in a short period of time as compared to stocks where they may have to wait longer.

For example, Bitcoin moved from $16K later last year to about 31K recently, and it's not even a bull run. How many stocks can make such a move in just a few months?
1178  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Bucksoftware101 is a fake Bitcoin generator software seller! on: April 17, 2023, 11:31:56 PM
There are two things that Bucksoftware101 is probably trying to do;
Either;
1. He is selling to people air there by scamming them off their money
2. He is selling people scripts that are actually malicious. Once the user installs or runs the scripts, their devices get infected

I am leaning more to the latter.

Here is the YouTube channel of the fake script - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tYPkqXW0GY
1179  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Where to fix your Asic miners. on: April 17, 2023, 10:39:37 PM
How did you know he was banned? He never mentioned anything to me so I am not aware, is it possible that he copied something from his own website and was a victim to one of the "bots" that screen the forum for plagiarism? I also doubt he would copy-paste something for the sake of posting, I'll see whats up with him and if he wants to come back and is willing to go through the process of appealing.
I saw the ban tag with the help of the Bpip extension

and the profile information - https://bpip.org/Profile?id=1449095

I wanted to send him a PM asking him whether he was open to the idea of making an appeal if he felt he still wanted to be part of the forum and the ban was unfair, but I wasn't sure yet if a permanently banned account can receive PMs a well.

If you have already communicated to him, then it's all good. I won't send a PM.
1180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: how fast do you earn ETH by staking? on: April 17, 2023, 10:29:55 PM
If you are pitch black in this, then consider mining. If you have expensive electricity, then buying equipment for mining the CHIA coin will give you a profit of more than 10 per year. And a small farm will not bother you with noise and require maintenance.
I don't think this is good advice for OP, though. Spending money to buying HDDs in order to mine very few CHIA coins as reward does not make sense at all. Worse still, as far as I remember, the storage disk drives get messed up in the long run. OP will have nowhere to sell them off, except maybe as scrap.

I would rather advise OP is buy coins he feels bullish about with that money, transfer them to a hardware wallet and wait for the bull run in order to cash out some profits.
