1021  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the most significant trading sacrifice you believe you have made? on: May 30, 2023, 07:23:12 PM
No all such "sacrifices" pay off though especially that part of selling off property or trucks in order to trade.

I do have a friend who sold off his good business to get into crypto trading just because he was convinced by a friend that he can make a shit ton of money. Unfortunately he went all in on Terra Luna shortly before the crash and kept the coins in an external wallet. I think you guess is as good as mine on what happened next. Stressed and depressed, his life has never been the same again.

1022  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is Happyminer real? on: May 30, 2023, 03:53:30 PM
Just to top on my and other members' earlier findings, A new discovery shows that Happyminer.us were initially claiming to sell mining hardware according to the web archives - https://web.archive.org/web/20180902214512/https://happyminer.us/

So what happened to their Hardware mining equipment shops? Why did they decide to now turn ponzi style?

Even the address changed  Grin

1023  Other / Archival / Re: Sinbad.io Mixer - secure, fast and easy to use on: May 30, 2023, 03:37:35 PM
Is it true Sinbad is operated by the same person that created Blender? Crypto tracing company "Elliptic" have stated with conviction that the evidence is very strong.

After Chipmixer, Is Sinbad.io Next To Be Shutdown?
Should we also discuss about the sanctioning of tornado.cash, the timely emergence of whirlwind.money and how the whirlwind.money website design closely resembles got inspiration Tornado.cash's or that's a topic for another day?

In fact I was surprised to see you wearing a signature of yet another mixing service especially after the opinions you had about mixers following the seizure of Chipmixer.
Whether the mixer is going to be the next to shutdown or not. To you, what makes Whirlwind.money different from Chipmixer, Sinabad or any other mixer in the eyes of law enforcement?
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MINING WITH SOLAR POWER | WHAT WOULD YOU DO IN MY CASE? on: May 29, 2023, 11:56:49 PM
500 watts for 1 hour is 500 Watt hours. Watt is power = energy / time.
Yeah, Watt hours. That's what I mixed up. My bad.

Maybe OP should specify what the actual capacity of his batteries is in watt-hours. The storage capacity will be the limiting factor since he is looking at the gear well within the 500 watt limit.
1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MINING WITH SOLAR POWER | WHAT WOULD YOU DO IN MY CASE? on: May 29, 2023, 02:55:15 PM
no you got it wrong..lets not make it complicated . for simplicity lets say i have free 500w for 24/7 365
would it mine with it or take the profit by selling it back ?
I haven't complicated anything. if a machine is rated 500 watts. That means, if it runs for an hour, it will consume 500 watts. So that will be it for you for a day. 1 hour of mining with all other factors constant.

I hope you have understood me. Though not so much, but I have some experience with solar power usage.
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MINING WITH SOLAR POWER | WHAT WOULD YOU DO IN MY CASE? on: May 29, 2023, 02:42:45 PM
i dont have any equipment but a rig with 2 powerful GPUS consume about 500w
That would mean your solar batteries would sustain the GPUs for not more than an hour before they run out of juice if running in times when there is no sun like at night. Also during the day there will be fluctuations of light intensity from the sun due to weather changes so, you won't be able to run the equipment on that solar power constantly.

You would need a solar power system with capacity way more than 500w for it to handle the two running GPUs day and night.

Do you think it's worth it? Personally, I don't think so. IMO solar system is just good for backup.

>>snip<<

As a person who left you a temporary feedback till you responded, it's my obligation to keep track of this case. What I have observed is that the accuser just decided to lock up the scam accusation thread he had opened up. Furthermore, he has deleted most of the posts he has made in this thread instead of responding to the new developments which means there are some things he could have falsely stated

For that matter, I am removing my negative feedback. I can't help someone who can't even bring up genuine claim.
1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MINING WITH SOLAR POWER | WHAT WOULD YOU DO IN MY CASE? on: May 29, 2023, 01:35:22 PM
500watts (0.5Kw) isn't that much mate.

Remember mining gear has to always run day and night if you are to go anywhere close to the daily profit target. I don't know what kind of mining equipment you have but you can't even run some GPUs on power of 500 watts
1029  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is Happyminer real? on: May 29, 2023, 01:12:09 PM
Classic ponzi scheme pretending to be a cloudmining site. Stay away from it at all costs.

Some Redditor asked them a question about their hash power and what he discovered is pretty interesting

Here's one of the answers from their support bot:

"As ASIC are the most energy-efficient miners, we use them since they dominate the market. Our hash power can reach 471700 GH/s, making us one of the leading providers. Furthermore, our mining farms are equipped with state-of-the-art supercomputers and cooling systems that are extremely efficient."

So their entire mining operation is a measly 471.7 th/s and yet they offer physically impossible returns? (For those who are unfamiliar, the profit from mining bitcoin at 471 th/s without even subtracting any power or maintenance costs is currently about 35 bucks a day, that's something someone would have in their garage as a hobby)

Ofc email support never answered to explain to me how this math works for them.

You can use this calculator to see how much their hashrate which makes them the "leading providers" bring them per day even at zero power costs - https://minerstat.com/coin/BTC  Grin

1030  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Tornado cash still up and usable? on: May 28, 2023, 10:54:48 PM
@Bitcoin_Arena. It might be, however, where will the attackers mix and launder their stolen coins if they kill Tornado Cash hehehe.
They will try to use the AMM exchanges perhaps?
I am also seeing some forks of tornado cash and on different chains though I am not sure which one is legit and which one is not.

There is also word that Tornado cash Governance control is about to be restored.

in also other news, it's said that a Wallet drainer moved funds to Tornado Cash, which translated it to still being functional
1031  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: nftonspin.com looks like a scam on: May 28, 2023, 10:31:14 PM
I have left them a negative on their profile, of-course reversible if they respond positively but I have some doubts if they will do this. A trust flag will also be applied if nothing happens in the next few days.

Both of you aren't regular in the gambling board. As a result, both of you aren't aware of them. NFTonSPIN has an ANN thread in the gambling board:
Thanks for the info.
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Need TRX Coin I can pay using my verified Paypal Email | USDT $400 In Wallet on: May 27, 2023, 11:53:27 PM
Yes bro am 100% sure its real as its my affiliate money I got and the app am using is downloaded from IOS app store directly and its called Trust Wallet which is a part of binance

I would really love to help out, but I don't know how to go about this whole situation. Had you had a little bit of reputation here or a good enough activity. I would have sent you the TRX without having any doubts that you would refund it.
1033  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: nftonspin.com looks like a scam on: May 27, 2023, 11:48:17 PM
How did you come across this site?

Feels like a confirmed scam if they refused to make payments and respond to your messages

1034  Economy / Lending / Re: I would like to borrow 0.0054 BTC on: May 26, 2023, 11:54:48 PM
You have to leave something of high liquidity for the lender so that he can sell it off to recover the money in case you default the loan. Just like you would go to the bank and ask for a loan, you have to provide collateral.

I am sure you know how the internet is filled with scammers so, no-collateral loans for a user without even reputation is a no-go zone for the lenders
1035  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ✅ [ANN] Bettercallraul.it No KYC Crypto Exchange | LOW FEES & Private | CLI ✅ on: May 26, 2023, 11:28:06 PM
Bettercallraul is not accessible anymore he pull the plug because he knows that he is being tracked its good that Royse is implementing new measures to prevent a similar occurrence, it's hard for bounty managers to experience something like this, only experienced managers can come out with this bad experience, this is one of the risks of being a campaign manager, an inexperienced manager will just run away.
One wonders where they got the funding from to run a signature campaign for some good number of weeks.

Could they have been past scammers coming in to pull off another scam but then failed when the exchange failed to gain traction and now look for an alternative scam service to introduce to the forum in the near future?
1036  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ✅ [ANN] Bettercallraul.it No KYC Crypto Exchange | LOW FEES & Private | CLI ✅ on: May 25, 2023, 11:57:47 PM
Maybe not many people are use exch.cx, I didn't even heard of this exchange.
probably because it's fairly new, about 10-11 months old and they also haven't bothered to advertise themselves.

But they are ranked highly on kycnot.me, with a score of 9/10

Did anyone from bitcointalk forum used this scam exchange and lost any money?
Apart from the unpaid campaign participants, I doubt if there is any member here who was scammed otherwise we would have seen a number of scam accusation

Total ripoff.
Sadly nobody spent time doing plagiarism checking for them, and I think this must be done when there are campaigns in forum.
We usually have very sharp forum detectives who just need an hour or so to detect such anomalies but i guess they were destructed by other service events at that time
1037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Selling Altcoins for BTC on: May 23, 2023, 11:35:08 PM
I would suggest you head over to Tradingview and first have a look at the ETH/BTC chart so that you can make an informed decision on when you would want to sell the ETH for BTC
Look at the higher time frames. Bitcoin usually does better at the beginning of the bull run before ETH takes over later.

I would like to know, in which platform is your ETH staked?
1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Need TRX Coin I can pay using my verified Paypal Email | USDT $400 In Wallet on: May 23, 2023, 11:13:59 PM
I dont have enough TRX to do the transaction bro as $400 USDT is stuck in Trust Wallet
Are you sure you legitimately acquired the USDT?

If someone "gifted" or sent you private keys of a wallet containing the USDT out of no where then be careful. Once you send the TRX to transfer the USDT out of the wallet. The TRX will be stolen and won't even be able to move out the USDT.
1039  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ✅ [ANN] Bettercallraul.it No KYC Crypto Exchange | LOW FEES & Private | CLI ✅ on: May 23, 2023, 10:34:10 PM
Reading through the first comments member made in this thread. I realized that the service had quite a number of red flags but perhaps the chaos surrounding the chipmixer seizure made people not to pay proper attention or be critical to the new service

Any member here who has used BettercallRaul before?

Please confirm to me that the service was not a complete rip-off from https://exch.cx (which seem to be older and legit)

There terms of service... Lol, How could we not see this?

1040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Tornado.Cash Sanctioned by the US on: May 23, 2023, 09:57:47 PM
Well some more bad news for crypto mixer Tornado cash. It was hacked and hacker has made a proposal to undo his attack. The hacker wants the governance and decisions to be made by token holders. But there is some mixed views about this.

https://bitcoinist.com/hackers-exploit-sanctioned-mixer-tornado-cash/
But he already dumped some of the tokens on the market... right?

So where does he get the authority to make a proposal?
