Do I need to make KYC to be part of this signature campaign?

I will withdraw my application as I would not like to sign for KYC and use my phone.

505  Other / Meta / Re: Ban GameProtect? on: February 15, 2019, 01:47:10 AM
Anybody with a trust rating like this should be banned, it’s obviousoy justified.

-8192: -13 / +0

Also he left me & everybody else in the bitcasino.io & sportsbet.io sig campaigns this trust feedback -

Promotes the publicly proven bitcasino.io scam for his own financial benefit = criminal offense!

bitcasino.io is operated without a license and in breach of AML and other laws!

He pretends he can help people who’ve been scammed or are owed money by a casino / sports bookie. I can’t be bothered to search for it but I’m pretty sure he has tried to charge people for help claiming he’s a lawyer or knows a lawyer who helps with gaming scams.

Stick him on ignore, the guy is a total loser.

Edit - Found a link incriminating him -

Sent 3 emails within 3 weeks and never received a response!

If offenders think they can get away with ignoring Game Protect, I can inform they are wrong. Wink

What game-protect messaged one of our players (shared with their permission):
Quote
The larger the casino is (for example stake / primedice or bitcasino) , the higher is the chance they will settle Because otherwise they will lose unlike more And as I already informed, the owners like Tim and Miroslav and Stunna likely also committed the criminal offenses of tax evasion in their countries of residence! Or do you really think that they informed the tax office of their home country about the exact amount they collected from players? And if they let it go to legal enforcement, they are at high risk of getting sued for AML laws breach in Curacao and in the country where their physical office is Why would they take all the risk for 30 or for 50 BTC? I mean the money laundering they committed can bring some years in prison as well Money laundering in the height of bitcoins worth $ millions This can bring some years prison time And btw, the managing director and licensor in Curacao is also liable. And 1668/JAZ made uncountable millions And 8048/JAZ as well. These are the 2 big You want to win and risk your bitcoins with - 1% or even more expected value, so you should definitely risk your bitcons with + 50% expected value I already gave you a lot of info, but I know unlike more, so I am almost confident that they will settle and if not latest lose at the court 1668/JAZ was also wrong, but they were stubborn, until they got sentenced

What you are offering is blackmail/racketeering as a service, not only is this highly unethical but I strongly question the legality of what you are doing. You are making the claim that these websites are "probably breaking X law" so you can blackmail them for money back to keep quiet? I have no interest in responding to your emails and you can consider this a written ban from using Primedice/Stake.

3/5 of the sites you feature on your homepage are members of the crypto gambling foundation. One of them that isn't is "betonline" which is very widely known to be a scam site, video evidence exists of them rigging games. If you continue to fill up this thread with your bullshit you can be certain I will make certain no website in this entire industry wants your business. The fact that you aren't banned from this forum is a travesty, you promote known scam sites, you prey on players who are put in a bad position by online casinos and then try to gouge them for an extra 10% of what they were scammed for and best of all you pretend to do so with the most ethical intentions. The worst part of your presence on this forum is legitimate complaints and attempts to rectify issues are flooded out by your non-sense spam which makes it easier for casinos to ignore issues entirely.

He probably has offered those kinds of services for more people. I think theymos has made some changes on the feedback trust page to not let some people use this as game-protect use. Limiting the number of feedback someone could make. He just spams in the trust feedback page.

@ Amrendrapatanjali

For $1,000 I can arrange that Duckdice will receive a lawyer order. They are clearly obligated by the applicable laws to give the illegally taken crypto currencies back, so it is + EV to proceed.

509  Economy / Economics / JP Morgan’s new digital ‘coin’ is not a cryptocurrency, or even a stablecoin on: February 14, 2019, 05:27:39 PM
JP Morgan’s new digital ‘coin’ is not a cryptocurrency, or even a stablecoin

thenextweb

JP Morgan has a new digital asset, JPM Coin. It’s not really a cryptocurrency, and it’s not quite a stablecoin, but it does use a blockchain. It’s mostly referred to as a digital coin.

Still, JPM Coin is set to square off against all the other redeemable bank tokens in the market, eventually.

Announced today via a flurry of reports, JPM Coin’s drawcards are listed as each token being redeemable for fiat, and that its powered by a “blockchain,” specifically Quorum, a distributed ledger platform developed by JP Morgan and some of its partners.

The network powering JPM Coin will be entirely permissioned (private, or if you prefer: centralized), controlled by the bank itself. It will reportedly be available only to its institutional customers that pass JP Morgan‘s Know-Your-Customer measures.

That’s really about it. It is backed by the bank‘s “strong balance sheet,” it’s attention to cybersecurity, and supposedly robust regulatory oversight. It says this should assure institutional players.

But it’s only really specific institutional players that will get access to this… thing. They can use it to send money between thick bank accounts.

Ultimately, Jamie Dimon isn’t necessarily trying to pull the wool over your eyes. It’s quite honest this product is probably not for you, and if you are looking for cryptocurrency, you might want to check out something like Bitcoin or Ethereum.

Please do not let them turn any virtual currency into a cryptocurrency. There are some basic features that distinguish Bitcoin from all other projects already invented.

especially with some of the latest and greatest of trust list jockeying that seems to be going on.
This got me thinking of another improvement: I now highlights weekly changes:
NEW
Removed

Great addition. This ends up leaving some actions of other users in evidence and it is very curious. For example, the list of Distrusts from theymos is small, yet he just added a user who only participates in the French section of the forum. And it has few interactions with the trust list. Why did he add that person on his distrusts list? Cheesy

Edit: I realize this was because of this topic and his behavior tagging newbie users

Eles divulgaram alguma novidade? Está surgindo empresas de arbitragem e traders automáticos pra todos os lados. Acho que em breve a maioria começará a ter sérios problemas.

515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / new tool built on Ethereum to protect video from deepfakes on: February 13, 2019, 07:25:16 PM
Amber Authenticate is a new tool built on Ethereum that generates hashes of a video and records them on a public blockchain to protect it from deepfakes

WIRED

VIDEO HAS BECOME an increasingly crucial tool for law enforcement, whether it comes from security cameras, police-worn body cameras, a bystander's smartphone, or another source. But a combination of "deepfake" video manipulation technology and security issues that plague so many connected devices has made it difficult to confirm the integrity of that footage. A new project suggests the answer lies in cryptographic authentication.

Called Amber Authenticate, the tool is meant to run in the background on a device as it captures video. At regular, user-determined intervals, the platform generates "hashes"—cryptographically scrambled representations of the data—that then get indelibly recorded on a public blockchain. If you run that same snippet of video footage through the algorithm again, the hashes will be different if anything has changed in the file's audio or video data—tipping you off to possible manipulation.

Users need to set the interval to balance system constraints on devices with what a camera may be filming. Creating hashes every 30 seconds on a police body camera might allow quick and subtle, but still potentially impactful, manipulations to slip through. Setting the interval to every second on a small business' surveillance camera might be overkill.

"There's a systemic risk with police body cameras across many manufacturers and models," says Amber CEO Shamir Allibhai. "What we’re worried about is that, when you couple that with deep fakes, you can not only add or delete evidence but what happens when you can manipulate it? Once it’s entered into evidence it’s really hard to say what's a fake. Detection is always one step behind. With this approach it’s binary: Either the hash matches or it doesn’t, and it's all publicly verifiable."

This would be a very interesting and unique use for blockchains. Of course, it would potentially be quite expensive. But the risks involved could justify this cost.
516  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have Payoneer (PP), Want BTC or ETH = up to 300USD 1:1 ; With Escrow on: February 13, 2019, 05:39:24 PM
I have 300USD on my Payoneer account. I would like to exchange for BTC using Preev.com 1:1.

Payoneer is not reversible as Paypal. But I could use the Escrow service from Darkstar_ if you prefer. I have talked to him and we could make a deal that is good for everyone. Including the possibility of him holding the BTC for more than 45 days.

With a legit buyer I do not think you will need to go though with holding it for 45 days. Your activities should be enough for it besides $300 is not much I think however using escrow is safe though.

I am not into selling my Bitcoin or I would make the trade. Anyway, good luck bud.

Cheers :-)

Payoneer can be reversed only if not approved. And it can be approved within 5 minutes to 72 hours. So, there is no need to hold your fund for 45 days. Because if within 3days approve then it will never be reversed. I am using Payoneer from 2012 and I have faced a few reversed also I got few reverse payments. Usually, it happens if there is something wrong on the sender/receiver account. Payoneer ask to verify if the person can't verify the account then Payoneer refund it instead of approving.

Tkss

I had contacted Darkstar_ when I was thinking of sending from Payoneer to Paypal, since few people have a payoneer account. And then it would be safer using the 45 day Escrow. It would be more expensive to use PayPal for the fees that are charged, so I'd rather use Payoneer directly. Either way, if the person feels more secure, I can still use the Escrow service for the payoneer.

Thanks for the testimonials. I've never had problems with Payoneer and these testimonials can help other people feel more secure using their service.
517  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why aren't the world's richest people on the rich list? on: February 13, 2019, 04:20:25 AM
The rich list is only a list of people who have a good part of their assets easily auditable. Generally, this assets is in the form of public companies and other public investments. It is difficult to calculate the wealth of people who do not have a direct stake in listed companies.

How will you calculate the heritage of people who practically own a Country? Or people who are the owners of historical assets of almost incalculable value? Drug traffickers, people who own jewelry and objects of gear acquired after theft, etc. You can not figure it out. And a journalist has a duty to just pass on information that he can prove by facts.

519  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance Charity used blockchain tech to deliver services to Bududa victims on: February 13, 2019, 03:09:04 AM
Ok, so I read the story from here:
https://www.binance.com/en/blog/299480887055900672/Binance-Charity-in-Action-Empowering-Bududa-Through-Blockchain

I must be missing something but this kind of usage of the blockchain is like a bureaucracy parody from Asterix and Obelix.

So:
- a team of inspectors went there and identified the victims in need of help
- then somebody from binance performed a second verification to link them to an account
- then they trained them to create and use a wallet in which they would receive donations
- with those donations, under supervision, they could use it to buy essential stuff from a predefined list
- the help was then delivered to them and distributed using their IDs

Seriously, why use the blockchain for it when an excel table could have solved all this in minutes?

Yes, it was good at donation for the cause, this I won't deny, but the redistribution process was so complicated that if it were more than 72 households probably it would have taken years to complete.

Much of these necessary steps are due to the fact that we still do not have a world where cryptos are widely used. So one of the goals of this charity would be to prove useful to them. But for this to occur, it was first necessary to demonstrate how it would be used. It's a great marketing case for the Exchange and for cryptos, using a charity to cover... Another issue is the lack of transparency. Cryptos are more transparent processes than excel.

Most charitable organizations have major issues of organization, corruption and lack of transparency in their accounting. It's like paving a street that is not yet being used. Just creating the street could already be enough for that moment, but paving it could speed up the whole process that would otherwise take many more years.

I think Binance's big mistake was to use computers. Smartphones are much simpler and more practical to use. And they are already widely used even in very poor regions.

According to this report, more than 50% of the population has a cell phone. And 16% have a smatphone. I can not understand why companies related to cryptos still focus so much on computers at the expense of smartphones.
520  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are Legendary Member Earning Too Much ? on: February 13, 2019, 02:26:23 AM
Legendary members always have higher reward rates than new members in signature campaigns, which is well worth the effort they spend. Because to get high rankings like legends they contributed a lot to the forum, so projects always rated them higher than new members. Please contribute positively to the forum and you will also receive rewards commensurate with that contribution

There are plenty of legendaries who've earned little to no merit. They're not going to get anywhere in terms of campaigns. The managers of decent campaigns aren't going to take on a shitposter no matter what their rank.

Now it's been over a year I think it's time to remove all airdropped merit. If you've been here for all that time and are legendary with a piddling amount of merit to show for it then it's time for a demotion all the way back to the start. They serve no purpose.

It would be great if some members could lose their legendary status. It is like some people who hold noble titles, without there being royalty in the country. It simply does not make sense.
