Thank you, ChartBuddy, for reminding me I'm still in WO...

Oh gawd.. not you too..    Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I recognize that you are probably not referring to me specifically, even though you had an @JJG in your earlier post.. but I should respond to clarify anyhow by saying that you should already somewhat realize my system, and I have posted regarding some of my deviations from my system without trying to give too many details.. but still you likely have some ideas about how I have been rolling with these matters, unless you are worried about my having had not sold enough? and worried about my having had bought too many at too high of prices?

Genuine recommendation overall or gloating or trolling?

You likely already realize that if you transition into a tone that appears to be cheering down, then you are likely going to get some backlash from some of us folks.. whether we are frustrated or not.. but even if I am not personally frustrated, I am still likely going to get mad for the mere sake of it for anyone who seems to be cheering for down.. or even seems to be cheering that down has happened.

Absolutely not cheering for down, brother. I am still majorly bitcoin invested, net worth wise. Probably something like 90% bitcoin, if we want to calculate real estate, stocks, bonds & stuff. I’m just saying what I see it though, it looks like down before up.

OK maybe I’ll secretly enjoy buying cheap coins but it doesn’t change how I think this will play out. The world economy is a mess, we’re going into a deep recession. Everything is going to tank but this is where us smart dudes prosper where idiots fall.

Lower lows, crab market with slight uppity until we hit the halving at $40,000 or something. Bull run starts & we’re well into 6 figures (USD) by end of 2025.

Bearish as this may sound, I believe that's exactly how it's going to play out.

Key words (as always): HoDL and/or BTFD.

OOM is grumpy, and I'm grumpy too.

Earth is one giant meat circus.

Bitcoin stuck @ $20k too. Fuck this shit.  Angry

It's not stuck at $20k anymore.. . so isn't having had been stuck at $20k looking good now?

[...]

Assuming that $20k was the bottom, the only way was up, no?

But it looks like the bottom has not yet been reached. Vegeta is not dead, it seems. Who would've thunk?

IMHO, things will start getting interesting in 2024-25, and well after the MtGox/ETH/POS experiment repercussions. It will probably be the toughest HoDLers' endurance test of all time, with lots of mindrustenings by weak hands along the way.

Two more years of waiting. Easy (but boring AF).

Let's do the math, because dollars make no sense when talking about a metal: $10,000,000,000,000,000,000 dollar and $55,000,000 per tons. That's 182 billion tons.

Now let's see what National Geographic has to say:

Quote
one geoscientist calculated that there are 1.6 quadrillion tons of gold in the core—that’s enough to gild the entire surface of the planet half-a-meter (1.5 feet) thick

Why bother with an asteroid, if the earth's core holds 8800 times more gold?

Probably unimaginable pressures and heat not to mention radiation makes it unobtainable compared to space

I believe they are both practically unobtainable.

I wonder why we need to use asteroids and planet cores as evidence to show that gold sucks compared to Bitcoin... It's rather obvious, no?

[ Edited out ]

tl;dr: Stay away from Ponzi schemes and Fractional Reserve systems. How many Ponzi collapses and mindrustenings will it take for people to get this? Bitcoin is already a miracle to those who can recognize it, and probably the only exception to the "if it's too good to be true..." rule. The recent rise in WO trollery is telling, too.

Keep BTFD and HoDLing, my fellow WOers. GTCTTWW.

OT: watch this 4-part docuseries, if you haven't already:

Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey

It's about the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS).

Now, I admit I don't know much about Utah, and I've never even visited the USA, but I couldn't help but wonder how it is possible, in this day and age, for a cult/sect like FLDS to be able to continue their underage marriages, child sexual abuse and polygamy practices for so long, without the authorities intervening...

Star Walk 2 is reccomended for the more spectacular gfx. Still have it on my phone, but Skyview was the one i purchased in the end.

[...]

I highly recommend Star Walk 2. Just recently, I visited my cousin and showed the app to my nephew, by mirroring my phone screen on their 75-inch TV (BTW, they bought this TV with BTC... Soon to be the most expensive 75-inch TV in the world!). Anyway, my nephew was TRULY AWED by the graphics and the ability to go forward/backward in time and watch the celestial bodies' trajectories as they move in the sky. Also, the ability to zoom in and discover faint, distant objects that don't even show up in the standard zoom, which are also clickable, with descriptions, images and info. It also uses the phone's gyroscope/compass, together with GPS, to show you the exact part of the sky the phone is oriented to, in your location, and the viewpoint moves in real-time as you move the phone. Just awesome.

It may not be scientific-grade s/w, but it's 100% worth buying by anyone even remotely interested in astronomy, and certainly those who have kids in the family.

472 days? We had an ATH less than a year ago.

What an idiot.

Umm... perhaps the guy meant the first top for some reason? I'm not sure though need to count. Also not sure why he disregards the ATH?  Cool

How long is a piece of string?

Watched Attraction 2: Invasion...

[...]

Thanks for the film pointer. Never heard of either of them -- Attraction (2017), Invasion (2020). IMDb ratings look promising, they should both be worth watching.

who of you made use of this service back then? Wink
this site has somehow passed me by at that time... Tongue

There were many faucets back in the day but you only got very little (for that period) and needed to watch ads or wait a certain period of time.

You got 5 bitcoins from that faucet when it first started, and you didn't need to watch ads or wait. However 5 bitcoins was probably worth less than half a cent back then.

On June 23, 2010 Gavin added a CAPTCHA. He discusses it in this post.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=206.msg1711#msg1711

back in 2011 when i started my interest in btc and before i started to gpu mine and receive actual btc i wanted to test my core wallet to make sure i knew how to receive btc and could create an address and play with how the wallet worked. so i remember getting some btc once from a faucet, maybe gavins as there were hardly any at that time. wish i could remember which one and how much.. thought it was less that 1 btc though.

but heres the thing. im still running and actively using the core wallet i created in june 2011. and i cannot find that transaction. should of been the 1st transaction in the wallet.

now before i started mining to i do remember creating a few early test wallets as i want sure if i was doing it right, plus my internet sucked so bad i may of not waited for full sync, figured i did it wrong, and just ignored the early test wallets and created new ones. ergo that 1st transaction from an early faucet (gavins?) to my one of the early test wallet is likely lost.

however since i almost never delete anything i still wonder if i still have the early test wallets, as i have many early wallet.dats on my old backups. and im pretty anal about backups. so, one day, all those old early wallets copies will get plugged in and run against the blockchain. who knows maybe i will finally find out what happened to that early faucet transaction lol.

Nice story. You should definitely check those wallet.dats, you may be very pleasantly surprised...

Elon Musk sell-off,
Had no casualties, they said.
Luna? Celsius?

It worked out alright.
Price slowly recovering,
Without those fuckers.

So, stack sats and HoDL.
And if you still don't get it,
I offer no hope...

Oh no! Not again...

He should change his nick to PlanC.

I loved his S2F model back when it fitted the data, was hoping for $100k by end of 2021, and still wish it to somehow become valid again. Will it?

Thanks for this link. Very interesting case. As much as most people hate the secret services, FBI, CIA, etc., I must give praise to the investigative work of the FBI in this and other similar cases.

realise just how important those little chips are...

I can picture AlcoHoDL roaming around the office for the next 6 months..  maybe taking some of the OPsec outfit measures from the earlier post....

"Here little chip."
"Here little chip."
"Here little chip."

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Not office, laboratory.

Haha, yeah, they are sooooo cute. Those chips are like little Mona Lisas, true works of art. The ARM architecture is one of the most elegant designs out there. You've got to be into this line of work to appreciate it though, unlike the true Mona Lisa (which, I've got to admit, didn't impress me much when I saw it in that glass enclosure in the Louvre). But that ARM chip... Beautiful!

The Biggest Bitcoin Whale just sold 15,500 BTC today.

https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/address/1P5ZEDWTKTFGxQjZphgWPQUpe554WKDfHQ

Seems like a stupid move to sell at such low prices. Either they are short of fiat cash, or they know something we don't.

In any case, I can't even imagine myself selling a single sat right now. If anything, I'd buy more if I could (bank is currently blocking my transfers to Kraken).
