“At an average price of ~$24,119 per bitcoin”  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
It’s ok I don’t own ~91,064 bitcoins but still my average buy is way better at $9,071 per bitcoin.

Candidate for a poll:

What's your average Bitcoin buy price?

< $1
$1 - $10
$11 - $100
$101 - $1,000
$1,001 - $2,000   <--- I am here.
$2,001 - $5,000
$5,001 - $10,000
$10,001 - $20,000
$20,001 - $50,000
> $50,000
I don't own any.
I mined it all.
I mindrusted it all!

How are you doing WO brothers!

It's been long days and I am alive.

Observing at $49,270!

AA = AlcoHoDLics Anonymous... We're alive too.

Welcome back dear brother.

Yes, $49k. Ant price if you ask me.

Double-k digits have grown to be quite boring IMHO. No fun anymoar. New Carolina excitement should come when we conquer $100k.

I'm selling almost every day (DCA) to pay for our lake.

We started with regular cars, then lambos, now ranches and lakes...soon whole building blocks and/or villages, then islands, maybe asteroids, planets, stars, etc
  Grin

For me, Bitcoin has "bought" me the most important thing in the universe: time, and the peace of mind that I can survive and do anything I ever wanted to do, without having to work for it. My life is already full, no need for Lambos or lakes. I own two wonderful houses, one in the city, another in the countryside, right next to a beautiful beach. My car is 6 years old and in pristine condition. Frankly, sometimes I'm trying to think of what to buy, but I'm out of ideas...

tl;dr: The most important thing that Bitcoin can buy, is TIME! The time one needs to do the things that really matter (and these are almost never material, although most people have been conditioned/brainwashed to think they are).

Thank you, Bitcoin!

coming from a very poor family and I never had any meaningful amount of money way into my 30ies. then bitcoin happened. and one day i was - of all places -strolling through the aisles of a giant home depot store when it dawned on me that prices of things lost their meaning and that i could fill up my cart with what ever i wanted - but -unlike a kids dream in a toys`r us store- the magic was gone. i bought nothing.

I know a guy who won 2 million € on the lottery and in 2 years' time he was up to the neck in debt.

It's not easy to be rich if you don't have brains. You can be super-rich though.

I'd actually like to have a property with a lake too. Then I'd go somewhere in the middle, and depending on how deep it was, throw something overboard and try to look for it. Maybe a box or a bottle with something heavy so it sinks. Or you build something that you can sink underwater and keep there, like an underwater cave or "habitat" or safe or something.

If the place has winter, then whatever you put there is literally in cold storage, frozen.

I like this idea, not just for things, but for people! Maybe Elwar could integrate it with some of his seastead designs. Like, you can live normally above sea-level, but you can also go "down" under the sea, in an all-windowed room, to see everything. That would be awesome.

Indeed. Time and peace of mind are almost as important as health and family (including friends).

Luckily my life is also full and has been for many years. I haven't had a "real job" in 45 years. I have lots of family/friends and my health is pretty good for my age. I haven't really worried for years even when I was poor. Now I have enough Bitcoin to not have to worry about money ever again.

As for the lake, it's just the means to even more peace of mind and a place to enjoy my time in a peaceful healthy environment.

No question, Jimbo, your life and attitude towards Bitcoin is a model case of how it should be done.

I'm sure your new private lake will give you years of enjoyment (is the pic from there?). My Bitcoin stash is nowhere near what's needed to buy a whole lake (!!!), but I was fortunate enough to already own a seaside home, which is more than enough for my needs.

Buying a lake... Wait! When Bitcoin reaches $1M it may even be possible for us little fish too!

Such a great feeling to go out shopping, come back a couple of hours later and realise that while you were out you made 400 times the money you spent shopping.

Man, next time I'll be buying a few more things...

Onwards & upwards!

HoDL.

You must have done some serious shopping, AlcoHoDL.

I was careful enough not to reveal specific amounts, but yeah, shopping takes a whole new meaning for a Bitcoin HoDLer. I just buy what I want. I don't look at prices. I'm not talking about extravagant stuff, but before Bitcoin I used to check the prices to be sure I'm in my budget. Not anymore. The good thing is that I'm not into luxurious (read: expensive) stuff, so anything I need is now well within my reach. That's what I meant by "peace of mind" in my earlier post.

The only thing missing (apart from the pump to $1M) is being able to buy stuff directly with Bitcoin.

WFT? Don't you guys ('n' gal) know nuttin'?

I SOMA-guess an attack on $50k very soon (today?) and a non-ant pump up to $55k and beyond by the end of the coming weekend.

Fuck rain forests. Burn 'em all. We like our cocaine and our hookers alright.
1310  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 02, 2021, 06:10:34 PM
every try to get new the 50k will be disruped by sell of a larger amout of coins. Second time. we were at 49750... and the next moment (no real pattern break visible) 48900 until a little rebounce... Same pattern in Jan and last week. Every time near 50k ...

Another round number psychological hurdle. As much as traders like to claim they operate on logic they seem mostly to operate on something else. We'll be fighting for every 10k milestone until 100k probably.

I think $50k and $100k will be the hardest, followed by $200k, $500k, and $1M.

These are the so called "powers", "halves" and "doubles". $100k is a power, $50k is a half, $200k is a double. Same with $1M (a power) and $500k (a half). These tend to be the most difficult to permanently cross, mainly for psychological reasons. Adding a bit of math & science to the mix, the sequence {..., 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000, ...} is fairly evenly spaced on a log scale, which fits nicely with the price progressions on most price prediction models for Bitcoin.

The above sequence is also being used for voltage/time selection in oscilloscopes, and in most other instruments.

tl;dr: When we cross $50k for good, the rise to $100k could be faster that expected, but will not be easy to permanently cross. Brace yourselves, and never forget: HoDL.

Just imagine an Elon pump happening right now, taking us to $60k. Wouldn't that be something?

But maybe the way of the ants is healthier...

I fully agree with you on this. Merit should be given based on post content, not just to help someone level up.
In fact, my post was an unambiguous appeal for someone with some added merit to spend a little time checking the message history of those in question.

It's very nice of you to think of me, but please, don't waste any merits on me just to make me level up.
I have been here since 2013 and I have no merit ego to feed, I'm quite happy where I am, and also, Legendary accounts are more prone to hacking/hijacking, give the merits to some deserving n00b that needs to level up instead.
You correctly noted that you have been here since 2013, which is why you, like no one else, deserve a legendary rank. Although I don’t know you at all, it’s quite obvious to me that you realized the value of bitcoin before others, including me. And regarding the security of your account, I think you exaggerated your concerns a little, since your account can be attractive to hack even at the rank of the hero. But all this does not change the fact that it is time for you to advance in rank, after all, you may well send some of the merit you received to those inexperienced users you are talking about.

p.s. I've been quoted 11 times, but Arriemoller is still not legendary.

Don't worry man. He'll be Legendary tomorrow. Because Legendaries don't need help to become Legendaries. They just are.

I remember back in the old days, I used to be a cracker in an IRC channel (cracking pr0n sites for the lulz). Users made requests for specific sites, and we crackers used wordlists and proxy servers to crack the sites for them and supplying them with a working password. I used to specifically ask the users to thank me ONLY if the password I supplied worked. Thanking me for a non-working password (just for the effort) was pointless to me.

Same with merits. No need to force it...

JayJuanGee, LFC_Bitcoin, philipma1957, fillippone, xhomerx10 ... Friends, if someone has a couple of extra merits, please read the history of messages below the presented persons, as they are on the verge of a new rank. and, if your generosity knows no bounds, feel free to send merit to El duderino_, as the 5,000 merit threshold is no joke.
Let me know if I forgot to mention anyone.

Watching $48,500. If we go over that decisively, it seems the correction is over.

but but muh maths and sciences.. im not done panic buying yet!

Don't worry about math & science. They've been taken care of by the Proud Honey.
1317  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 01, 2021, 01:26:30 PM
My calculations show that the correction from 58 400 to 43 000 is 26.3%. This doesn't even qualify for a significant 30%+ correction! And the claim that this is the end of the bull cycle is too premature and quite bearish. The support down to 40K looks pretty solid compared to the sell pressure, if we look at the depth charts of the main exchanges (even Bitstamp). So most probably we are going sideways for some time before resuming the bull run. My bullish expectations are 150-168K at the end of June and 333K-400K at the end of the year. The worst I can imagine for this year is half of the latter prices, i.e. 84K in June and 168K at the end of the year. However, we are on the track for the first scenario, and these 2 little corrections only improve the chances for that. #provenbymathandscience

I hope you are wrong dude, I pray to god that bitcoin goes back to 10 thousand and can buy more.

No, you won't. If it ever goes back to $10k (which it won't), you will shout "Bitcoin dead" and will not buy. Or, you will wait for it to go to $1k, then to $100, ad infinitum.

It has been said before, and I'll say it one more time: Best time to buy: NOW!

When it reaches $1M, you'll be wishing it drops to $100k to buy cheaply.

Smarten up. Buy now.

Having lived in Thailand all I can say is:

bum gun

Makes sense, although I've never used one. I have a bidet at home, but not the spray variety. It's one that you can fill with water, or let water continuously flow in it, and sit on it and use your hands to clean yourself. I always thought it was more of a woman's kind of thing TBH.

Terrible memory of the last TP shortage crisis at the inception of our corona friend. Scarred for life.

Actually yeah, I remember I zapped a full 12-pack 4-ply TP in a few days due to diarrhea when I had COVID-19. More liquid was coming out than was going in! My anus felt like I had been spanked by a drummer, followed by a full-length rusty pipe treatment. I always thought I was anal retentive, not so sure after this.

Bitcoin is expected to reach $400k THIS year, and you're talking about TP savings?

Sure, bears shit too, and they shit tons, I hear...

The Jap Bidet I can understand, but TP?  Shocked
