521  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Market Could Hit $1 Trillion This Year on: August 04, 2018, 03:26:07 PM
I still can't believe that a company, just one company that sells stuff, like apple worths 1 trillion dollars and yet bitcoin and all other crypto currencies combined can't worth as much as apple. Like how hard it is for hundreds of huge crypto currencies to just worth as much as one company.

I understand apple is the biggest company in the world and in between their mobile phones and laptops and machines and what not they do sell a lot and their products are really wanted a lot by everyone in the world however we are comparing a company and a whole economy market of global currency movement. This fact only makes me feel like we are going to go so much bigger one day, crypto will definitely be bigger than apple and it is only logical for that  to happen, we just need to wait out until whales have their fun.
522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: How to Invest TIME & Earn CRYPTO on: August 04, 2018, 01:46:26 PM
That is called "work", people have been doing it for centuries, even millenniums, as long as 2000-3000 years. Investing "time" is when you put in your work and provide people with your skill set like what I do and offer them a business and they will pay you for your skills and your work, that way you "earn" crypto. This can be coding, graphics, content, bounties, signature campaigns or whatever else you can find, just do what you have proper skills for and you can earn some coins, some skills like coding earns a lot more than some stuff like signature campaigns however they both require TIME and they both EARNs you crypto.
523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to learn day trading? on: August 04, 2018, 09:34:32 AM
Day trading involves a lot of risks and you need a decent portfolio to start with, with the small capital you can't easily make huge profits plus the market is really unpredictable right now so it's better to do swing trade or only if you are completely comfortable with day trading. There are many youtube videos and telegram channels which provide good trading news, tech analysis and signals.
Basically you can just test it out before you get in. You can use bitmex trading, you can use fake money trading, you can train on fake forex exchange deals and you can do your research on the coins you want to day trade and that way you will have everything you need.

A way to know bitcoin day trading, a way to learn the charts from forex, a way to use fake money to make sure you know what you are doing and a way to know what you are trading. All of these combined together really gives you a chance of "making sure" you are ready, this is not how to learn trading daily but this is just a formula of following before going in to make sure you are ready.
524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Patience is a virtue but how much patience do you have? on: August 04, 2018, 07:59:38 AM
yes you are right that panic selling will only lead you to lose some coin value. here, being patience is a very important to have. It is virtue and we must have full patience, not half or moreover quarter. But, patience is not enough. We need to be smarter and more careful in considering the right time to sell, buy, and hold.
I really figured this one out. It really doesn't depend on how further down it goes, it just depends on the time it stays down. Now for example something can be 100 dollars and go down as much as 25 dollars or whatever in a week and I will be fine with it, however if it goes back up to 70 dollars (which is more than double so great) yet I can't have it back to 100 dollars for months than on about 6th month or so I start to get really sick of it.

Now, its only gone 30% from the initial entry point and it has seen 75% going down as well yet I draw the line only at around 6th month of no profit and not how further down it goes. It can worth 1 dollar all I care as long as it goes back to my prices in less than 6 months I will be fine but when it doesn't than I start to lose patience with it.
525  Economy / Economics / Re: Bullish Sentiment Still High for Cryptocurrency Investors According to Survey on: August 03, 2018, 04:57:04 PM
I just ask why are we even surprised about this at all? If I ask anyone around here what would they think the bitcoin price will be in 10 years almost all of them will say it will be higher than today's price, we don't know what it will be tomorrow but we all know that it will be higher in 10 years for sure, the problem is not what it will be in 10 years or 5 years but what it will be tomorrow.

Bitcoin is a risky investment and people do not invest in stuff that is risky because of the swings and you may need money all of a sudden and if you need it right when bitcoin is down than you will have hard time recovering from that loss, however if anyone that has some money set aside that they will not need will buy bitcoin for long term investment for sure, its not an unbelievable surprise.
526  Economy / Economics / Re: Why spend time in bitcoins? on: August 03, 2018, 04:00:59 PM
We all experience being financially challenged and we cannot deny that money makes us revolve around it. When we find ways to alleviate our financial suffering, we stand our ground and spend so much effort just to see the result and of course, benefit from it. Do you think that spending time and effort to gain bitcoins is a rational idea? Do you think that you could've been wasting your time? Let me know about your thoughts.
I think the best part is the time spent in learning so many things that we can consider this as a business AND a hobby.
I met new people here and I met with important celebrity people as well, I have learned new technology that even some tech savy people did not heard of.

I have researched and read so many things, I have done some quite unusual things tanks to btc as well. I mean being in crypto space is basically allowed me to have a hobby and a business at the same time, I don't know what I would do without bitcoin because I have so much free time as it is already, wouldn't know what I would do without it as well.
527  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nobody is using crypto's to pay anymore on: August 03, 2018, 02:38:58 PM
Talk for themselves.
I get paid on crypto all the time, means people are paying me to do my job in crypto for two years now. I doubt that could ever change and I doubt it will ever change.

Maybe "less" people are paying with crypto but that doesn't really mean "nobody" does it, there are still a lot of people in the world that uses crypto for many purposes and we just lost a lot of our dollar value on this bear market that people are holding their crypto currencies until they go back before they use it because if they use it it will not worth a lot and they will have "realized loss" and instead they keep it until it goes up so they currently have "unrealized loss".
528  Economy / Speculation / Re: the icos are the cause of the fall of bitcoin? on: August 03, 2018, 12:36:18 PM
every day new ICOS arise and 8 out of 10 ICOS are a scam, many people are losing their money and because of these scams they no longer invest in cryptocurrencies, and because of all this the bitcoin ends up losing confidence. So the ICOS is the quasante of the fall of bitcoin? What do you think?
I doubt it, people did really lost a lot of money to shady scam coins that started out their "funding" through ICO's however comparatively speaking people still have billions of dollars invested in the big coins (aka the top 25 coins) so even if there was a lot of money involved and invested during the ICO craze of gold rush, it was still not as much as the rest of the market to be honest and you can clearly see that market is the one that is down initially which causes all of this.

Yes, losing a lot of money on ICO did cost people to get out but mainly it was the so sudden spike at price that was unsustainable that caused all of this bear market.
529  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to buy btc. on: August 03, 2018, 12:04:55 PM
Hello there, its been a while since i made my last trade, over a year ago! Im thinking about going back into the game, however i dont know where i can buy bitcoin with a debit card. Previously, i used virwox and a bit of mining to obtain my bitcoin, however i do not want to pay extra fees. I would prefer to purchase bitcoin over a trusted site rather than private user. Im still a minor, thus wire transfer and interact payments are not feasible. Sorry if this is a repeated topic. Thanks in advance!
I prefer my local bitcoin website for my country. It is honestly best way to send my own countries fiat currency and just get bitcoin, otherwise there are levels of hurdles you need to overcome from sending fiat currency to some exchange that works with a bank that is overseas and I need to follow proper stuff and it basically takes ages and than I need to do the same thing for withdrawing my cash as well.

I just use my local bitcoin website and they have my fiat and bitcoin which allows me to send bitcoins there and cash out in fiat currency whenever I want with absolutely no trouble at all. Ease of use is the most important part of buying bitcoins.
530  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the best exchange ? on: August 03, 2018, 10:51:10 AM
In my opinion, the best exchange is Binance.

Programmers care about security.
However, most importantly, there are much bigger movements there - perfect for daily trading.

Remember not to keep all your money on one stock exchange.
I too really like binance but I also kinda like my own local one as well. What is it that you want from an exchange, if you want to have a lot of coins and affiliate program and some sort of ways to trade in between many coins to create some arbitrage chances and ways to get your money more valuable to trade and what not than your best bet is binance.

Because, it has been paid by people to exist so people that actually use the trading platform had some inside input on it to fix it and it had to face a lot of hacks and always came out very strong and never lost a single penny from their customers even tho all other platforms actually had a lot of shady customer practices so far. Local just gives you fiat for your bitcoin, simple yet effective.
531  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will you trade Bitcoin to buy Altcoins? on: August 03, 2018, 08:03:08 AM
I usually trade ETH to buy altcoin, because ETH is now much more popular than BTC, most altcoin or tokens that accept payment by ETH, that's an extremely popular penny nowadays.

In this recent market trading bitcoin to buy some altcoins are not profitable because bitcoin price was diminishing and some altcoins turns into shitcoins also. But if you want to buy altcoin try ethereum as this alts is potentially increasing in value due to its big adaptation.
Yeah this difference makes problem sometimes. The interdependency of bitcoin and altcoin now becomes an integral part. This must be taken into account by development teams and they must think over this issue. We need to make bitcoin and altcoin two different entities that are totally separate and can’t be jointed for any reason. Because this disturbs the performance factor.
But I totally would, I trade bitcoin and buy coins all the time, I have been buying so many different coins so far that I can't even count them (I actually can, I have 82 different coins) so that is my way of putting up some money aside and see how it would do. The inter dependency has nothing to do here as we are spending bitcoin to buy altcoins, nothing more and nothing less.

Unfortunately lately they are all worthless to me but I am hoping they will go up in value in the future so I can sell some of them and buy even more coins. I am planning on selling the excess of some coins and buy more coins to increase the coin count.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: August 02, 2018, 05:09:22 PM
Rockets and celtics has the best shot at beating the warriors but it is still very very difficult to achieve, specially with cousins back (depends on how he comes back). Cousins can really put warriors to a level that is untouchable, kevin durant actually put them at that level first but warriors are not playing with that fire they played for the first year, they won 3 rings and kd had 2 rings with them and 2 finals mvp as well, there is really no point on playing with some motivation because everyone knows if they play they win.

Moreover, cousins didn't win anything yet and he really wants to on his one year with warriors which I believe he will leave soon, so he will want to win now. Celtics has a great young core and actually had a shot without kyrie and hayward. Rockets almost won and they didn't even had chris paul for the last games, they basically lost because they went zero from twenty seven threes. It is almost impossible to miss that many threes IN A ROW.

Hence, either cousins will lit a fire under warriors and they will win quite easily or rockets/celtics will try to overcome something realy difficult and win over warriors.
533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some of the best movies based on gambling? on: August 02, 2018, 12:22:06 PM
There is also rounders which is a great movie based on poker games. Edward Norton is playing and he is great in it as a person who got out of jail because of some shady poker things he did before, however the main character is Matt Damon and he has a great arc and he plays poker not for just making money but to get the respect he desires and I think by the end of it he realizes he doesn't need the respect but he needs that self respect to himself not by others.

At the end there is no plot twist, you get what you expect Matt Damons character wins in a big poker game and leaves the movie on a high note.
534  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you addicted to trading? This is for you on: August 02, 2018, 11:51:35 AM
this is kinda funny, people thinking people are "addicted" to trading.
I doubt anyone is actually addicted to trading at all, its just a way of making money and if you are losing money doing it you can simply quit, no one gets addicted, when you have no money left you simply stop by force without your intentions at the worst case.

If you are getting into trading with the money you do not have luxury of losing and you are selling stuff to actually try to trade and make up the difference like this is some sort of gambling than it is just Darwinian way of telling you do not deserve to have your money and you are very well off without it because someone else with a better understanding of it now has your money.
535  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading or mining? on: August 02, 2018, 10:52:59 AM

Just had a chat with my friend on setting up mining in my farm house. He advised and suggested more to invest in crypto currencies then investing and spending time in mining. What you guys would suggest me of. Or shall i start with small investment on mining from house with rigs attached to system i have in my house and start a farm house once experienced or do not get into mining? Suggest me dudes.
Trading is a lot safer option of the two because mining requires a capital that you will spend on some mining equipment that will not come back and you will make that back some how from mining however than those machines gets old and some of the brokes and you will eventually need more and newer versions of those machines which will eat into your income and if you select trading you will just have to wait and in the long term the money will make itself.

Nevertheless, if you wish to do both of them, you can just focus on getting investments on masternode coins, that way you can both get coins and without even mining you will get more coins just from masternode yields.
536  Economy / Economics / Re: China is turning against cryptocurrencies?? on: August 02, 2018, 10:08:16 AM
After bans on exchanges and initial coin offerings, bitcoin miners fear they are next
I am guess just like all the websites that china copies and makes one for themselves, china one day will have their own national cryptocurrency, it will not be bitcoin and it will have a weird looking name but in the end it will be their own cryptocurrency that we can easily exchange and that will put a lot of money into the crypto world because there are a lot of rich people in china looking at the government trying to figure out what kind of approach china will have against the cyrpto currencies.

As soon as china creates a new coin and makes it legal to use those coins and creates a space where you can even buy and spend it, we will see a lot of money pouring into the crypto space.
537  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is the New Economy, we are only at the very beginning on: August 01, 2018, 04:14:21 PM
Lets hold our horses for now. Yes bitcoin is going to be very big compared to what it is right now.
Yes, bitcoin will be big enough that you will have 10$ bitcoin cards at around your corner stores that everyone can get just like some apple itunes card or playstation psn cards which will make it a lot bigger and a lot down to regular people.

Moreover, calling bitcoin the new economy is a bit a too stretch and we need to make sure we are not going ahead of ourselves. New economy suggests that bitcoin will be a global currency that everyone uses just like euro for European countries but bitcoin for every country, which will not happen, not a chance.
538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you get your cryptocurrency news? on: August 01, 2018, 12:41:56 PM
Other than Bitcointalk could you recommend me your favorite sources of cryptocurrency news? I mean news sites, blogs, twitter accounts, subreddits and those kinds of places.
I usually follow bitcointalk, reddit subreddits like bitcoin and cryptocurrency, cointelegraph and my telegram channels.
There some twitter accounts I also check but mainly not for news but for seeing their comments on the news to be honest.

Those are enough for me, I can get enough news from those sources, however I check a lot more places if I am doing a research on some new coin, I have followed reddit for news about Nano and look where it is now, so I stopped just following the coin shillers and start to check more places to see the both sides of the coin before I join in.
539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Bitcoin? Will it become a mainstream of currency. on: August 01, 2018, 12:03:43 PM
Future of online currency will be a mainstream or it's popularity will wane?
Bitcoin was once started out as a currency and wanted to be a mainstream currency considering all other currencies lose value yet bitcoin gains value, however with the ETF route bitcoin is taking unless we have a sudden change in the use of bitcoin with more places accepting it and more people using it on daily basis, bitcoin will become some sort of commodity and not currency.

It is used as if its gold, silver, stocks, bonds and so forth, it is used as a middleman to make more fiat currency and not used as a currency itself. Hope that changes one day because that would make it a lot better for all of us. Probably governments has been cheating us for hundreds of years with their fiat system which may get regulated in coming years just due to bitcoins.
540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what causes the price of altcoin down? on: August 01, 2018, 10:51:46 AM
Many altcoins are paired with Bitcoin on almost all the exchange sites, hence a significant fall in price of BTC causes the paired altcoins to fall as well. Also, in situations where there is panic, holders of a coin begin to lose trust and sell the coin for very cheap prices.
Yes, altcoins are not exactly down at this moment. I mean they are down against the bitcoin price that is true but they are not down against the dollar value. Which means they are not not losing value, bitcoin gained value against them, this is a lot different than losing value, its a bull market and bitcoin price is gaining value but altcoins are not losing value at all.

Hence, I believe that altcoin prices are down because bitcoin gained value against the dollar. Wait a bit more and alts will go back to their bitcoin prices but this time they will gain value against the dollar value as well.
