Masturbate-a-thonThe Masturbate-a-thon is an event in which participants masturbate to raise money for charity and increase the public awareness and dispel the shame and taboos that exist about this form of sexual activity. During the past six years, the Masturbate-a-thon has raised over $25,000 for women’s health initiatives and HIV prevention, education and treatment organizations, and has contributed to debates about safer sex and alternative safe methods of sexual expression. The event awards several honors for those who raise the most money as well as for multiple orgasms and endurance. Looks to me like a challenge for...wait for it...TMI BTCITW.

And once the first collateral site is up and running, Matthew, Atlas and I are going to team up and start collateralvalidation.com to centralize all Bitcoin collateral sites.

What has been the typical setup on bitcointalk for charity bitcoin addresses? My youngest sister is with a missions group that got to the Philippines prior to the typhoon and is still there. I know them and the whole country could use a lot of help.
You are encouraged to donate via the official websites, since it is too easy for a noob to create a new account and post a bitcoin address for "donations'". I don't think there are "official" ways to donate to victims via bitcoin. It is a lofty goal still. I haven't seen any Philippines related Bitcoin charity donation addresses. But I do agree someone trusted in the community should set something like that up and even better if they have a local connection with a group like my sister's who can post photo updates to the threads, stories, etc. Those are my favorite types of donating, to actual mission groups on the ground. Yeah. It may be a lofty goal, but I'm trying to be the first. It ain't no loftier than this: Typhoon Haiyan Relief Fund (.org, et al. registered to raise $1M USD)Domain names purchased: Check. Website in the works: Check. Founded by a trustworthy Bitcoiner: Check. Has donated to the cause: Check. Doesn't have access to a single satoshi: Check. ~TMI BTCITW Thanks for the link, that does look like the best option I see. Dabs did have a headstart on me, only because I was waiting to have the vanity address hashed prior to implementing.

It has taken 575 days to reach 10,000. So at this rate the thread won't reach 21 million for another 3,300 years!
Care to recalculate if the daily post count is boosted to 400 and I farm out the prime numbered posts to an independent subcontractor? Based on the prime number theorem (Ref: http://primes.utm.edu/howmany.shtml), there are approximately 1.2 million primes between 10,000 and 21 million. So if you subcontract out the primes then: (21e6 - 10e3 - 1.2e6)/400 = 50000 days = 135 years Disclaimer: I am an engineer so my calculations are likely to be out by a factor of at least 10. If that's binary, then you'll be off by a factor of 2.

Reposting from PM Hello, Esquina Tango Cultural Society of Austin now accepts Bitcoin donations. Please visit the website www.EsquinaTangoAustin.com and look at the lower right corner for the "bitcoin accepted here" button. The integration of the Bitcoin donations with Joomla (the CMS used by the non-profit) definitely has room for improvement but maybe that's something that can be done with the Bitcoin100 donation. Thanks! Phinn, please verify Looks good, Rassah. Maybe they'll tweet about their endowment, since having active Twitter and FB accounts.

Do people owning ten dollar bills look for things that cost exactly ten dollars, or do they know as a fact that they can purchase something cheaper and receive change. If they believe bitcoins work like the former, then it's ONLY purpose is to buy and sell them, having no other uses. There is no way in hell that they should be thinking otherwise if they know that things can be purchased with bitcoins, hence change, read less than a whole bitcoin, is returned if the purchase price is less than a full bitcoin.

My 1997 resolution is to stop fucking goats. This shit is gettin outta hand. I can't get enough goat pussy, ass and yes--dick. Seriously, I'm going to quit for sure this year... WTF (just made that up and means What The Fuck)! I've never noticed the other end of the goat. Maybe 1998 if what I have in mind works out.
Tony J. Glotz (my real name)
PS: Don't worry about putting stuff on the internet because nobody will even read it and it's not saved very long. Damn, that goat's got a purdy mouth. I will BRB (be right back) in a couple hours after I download a Prince song. Ain't it amazing that the internet is getting faster and faster each year?

H81 Pro BTCYour Bitcoin mining machine. Join the gold rush now! You do realize that there's people out there thinking that if they buy two, they're earn twice as much bitcoins. Hell, there's probably some guy in Kentucky, let's say, that's now convincing his family and friends into doing a group buy for a couple dozen, knowing where he can get free electricity... Strike that... Electricity cost won't even come into the equation, dismissing it as not being that much. If I'm not mistaken, these aren't pre-orders, but devices ready to go from a reputable outfit. They're in like flint, read the sellers and what the buyers are thinking.
