561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why sports betting? on: November 30, 2023, 03:14:54 PM
what are the reasons why you fall in love with sports betting?

Those who like to bet on sports is because they like the sports and have a favorite team.

Let's say there will be a futball match and your favorite team will play. It would be awesome if they win, but is double awesome if they make you win money in the process. That's why a lot of people like to bet in sports, and if you haven't tried it then you should because you will enjoy more a match/game where you are risking money.

The bad side of the sport betting is the long wait, but this is just my point of view, to wait 2 or 3 hours to see the result of our bet is a lot of time for a long gambling session.

https://ciencialatina.org/index.php/cienciala/article/view/7578

Y estamos abiertos a discutir temas relavantes.

Quote
1 kilo de carne = 10.000 litros*.
1 vaso de leche = 200 litros.
1/2 kilo de pollo = 2.000 litros
1/2 kilo de pasta = 500 litros
1 litro de cerveza = 300 litros
1 litro de vino = 900 litros
1 litro de agua embotellada = 3 litros de agua
1 traje de caballero = 5.500 litros
1 par de zapatillas de deporte = 4.400 litros
1 pantalón vaquero = 3.000 litros
1 media de mujer = 1/2 litro
1 huevo de gallina = 450 litros
1 automóvil = 148.000 litros
1 barril de petróleo (refinamiento) = 7.000 litros
1 taperware = 2.000 litros
1 botella de plástico de 1 litro = 80 litros
1 hoja de papel (A4) = 10 litros

564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if Bitcoin shutdown? on: November 30, 2023, 12:41:54 AM
I am just wondering, what will happen if Bitcoin shutdown? Will the market crash? How about the effect of this to altcoins? Can government shutdown Bitcoin? I have a lot of question about this matter, because who knows, right? Also, how about hackers shutdown Bitcoin? What are your thought here? Let's discuss this.

Is hard to think of a way to shutdown Bitcoin because it works with nodes. That means is not a single machine that you can turn off and shut down Bitcoin, taking off all the nodes from the network is an impossible task.

But let's think in that scenario for a moment, let's say bitcoin gets off. That means no one can send transactions and miners are not validating blocks, in that scenario bitcoin would be worth zero because it would be useless. Simple as that. Even if the market's still operating for a day, the price would go in free fall because everyone would want to get rid of those useless coins.
565  Economy / Gambling / Re: I have solved the problem of complexity in provably fair games on: November 29, 2023, 08:03:41 PM
If you created a new and better provably fair engine that's cool, but once a casino hire you to implement it then it will become public because the casino has to explain to the users how it works.

And i don't see the current provably fair engines as complex as you mention, they have logic and they already let the users verify their rolls.

A provably fair engine must have 3 elements:

-Server Seed.
-User Seed.
-Nonce.

If you skip any of those inputs then your engine isn't provably fair, that why it would be nice to know your system to be able to compare it with the current ones the casinos have and decide if it's better or not.

You don’t see it as complex? Are you a developer? How do you verify your bets?
Yes that is correct about what you mention for the 3 elements.

Yes, I'm a developer, the way I verify my bets is almost the same in all the provably fair engines.

1.-You make a string with the SSeed, USeed and the Nonce. then get the sha256 from that string.
2.-take the last 4 digits from the sha256 change from hex to Dec for dice and to binary for plinko.

Those 3 elements are necessary for the next reason:

-Server Seed: To avoid the user predicting the next roll (That's why it comes hashed and user can see it after getting  new seed.)
-User Seed: To avoid the house manipulate the bet result.
-Nonce: To have a different result in the next bet with the same seeds.

So, I'm really curious about your method, if you don't have one of these elements then the bet can be rigged from the user or house side.
566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Request to learn gambling on: November 29, 2023, 02:55:26 PM
Now, there's a simple question that I want to ask: do you guys think I should introduce her to gambling? If yes, what's the easiest game she can stake in and also enjoy while gambling?

First of all, you should explain to her how gambling is not another source of income, for that she needs to find another Job.

You can explain to her how the casinos work, the RTP on slots, the provably fair on house games, and how some games like poker have better odds because is a player vs player game.

And you can teach her how to risk low amounts or money that she can afford to lose.

Fuente: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRnyvbCtz4g

568  Economy / Gambling / Re: Monk.gg - Crypto's Homegrown PvP Casino on: November 28, 2023, 01:53:33 PM
I like your site because you offer some original games, which are probably fair and the user interface is nice. I feel like we need more of this kind of casinos because 95% of the new casinos are the same nowadays, all made with providers and not fair games at all (Slots).

The only think that i don't like at all is the provably fair engine. Users should provide a user seed for the result. The fact that part of the fairness is a block hash makes it fair but is not my favorite method. For mee to feels like it's out of users hands and is pure luck.

You should get rid of your paid signature with one advertising your site.

Sound as a good plan, but i could use the money from the signature to pay a google or facebook campaign, that would be a nice bump too.

But the main reason that i didn't use my signature to promote this project is that i have multiple projects and not only this one. I have a Digital Marketing business with a partner and bigger projects on the way. So, maybe in the future i will design a signature to promote all of them, but not now.

Hi!  Looks great.  are you based in the US?  how and where will you market the site?  i have started an online store selling coffee that can only be purchased with cryptocurrency.  would be interested in submitting articles and some form of advertising if you are accepting things like this.

crypto4coffee.store

You are the second one who ask for something like this, and I'm up to support the community, send me the article on telegram with an image and i will post it.  Wink
571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Altcoins on: November 26, 2023, 05:10:32 PM
When talking about investing in altcoins, ETH might be the safest option but I don't think BNB is still a safe and secure option for us. I think you also know about the recent news of CZ, you should reconsider choosing BNB as the altcoin you will buy.

Additionally, investing in altcoins is not as bad as many people are saying. If we are careful in our research and selection, finding hidden gems is not too difficult . As I see it, too many people are adopting the outdated mindset of only investing in bitcoin and staying away from altcoins . Meanwhile, altcoins are bringing good profits in the market.

A lot of people thinks like you and look for the safe way to go with altcoins, and as you mentioned, ETH is one of those good options. But i like more the high-risk options, those shitcoins who can bump 1000% in 24h. Is hard to chase them but if you ride the right wave then you will find a fast way to multiply your cryptos. But remember, high risk can make us lose big too. So, play it smart.

573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you want to play on casinos without KYC requirements? on: November 23, 2023, 10:38:11 PM
KYC is sensitive data, and we don't know how the casino manages that information and how strong is the security on it, and the big risk about KYC is when hackers get access to those databases. No one wants their sensitive information like Mail, real name, phone number and address to be in the wrong hands.

For me this is my personal point of view and why i don't like the KYC process unless i really trust the site.
574  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎰 FlukyOne.com | The Ulimitate Online Casino Experience on: November 23, 2023, 07:08:45 PM

...

Mandatory KYC but they are still implementing 3x wager of deposit before players can withdraw?
They need to have a meeting with all the management to think about their terms if they want to be competitive casinos.
The mandatory KYC will not attract small players while the withdrawal limit will not attract highrollers, so who are their main target?

x3 wagering requirement
for all deposits is/can be a problem for small and big players. Except for keeping the players on the site as much as possible, I don't see other reasons. Anyway, they should focus on the site itself and make a good place where players would want to stay and always come back, but instead of that they decided to make some strange rules...

Let me explain the main problem with the x3 wager requirement.

If i want to make 1 sport bet, let's say it's a UFC night and i only want to risk my money in 1 fight. If i win that bet i should be able to walk away from the casino with my profit, i mean, i made a dapo, wager 100% of it and should be able to take the money. Most casinos let you do this, but if i have to place 2 more bets to be able to walk away with the money, then it will be a losing game for the users.

So, the casino chooses the rules, but users can decide if some of those rules are abusive, and that will make the site lose customers.

Hey mate, I like the look of the website. I am a founder of Trading Digits, a crypto analytics platform: https://www.tradingdigits.io/

Will you be interested in a collaboration? Thanks in advance and keep up the good work!

I'm open to collaborations, but it would be nice to know what you have in mind. If we can find a win-win situation for both then it should work.

Is important to mention some of the terms and conditions on the site:

Quote
4. The minimum deposit per account is 10€ or its equivalent in any other currency.

5. All deposits must be wagered at least 3 times before a withdrawal can be requested.

7. Maximum withdrawal amount is 3.000 Euro /Usd per day.

Why there is a minimum amount on the depo? if the min bet is $0.1 why users can't depo $5 and have fun?

The x3 rollover on the deposit is just cruel, i understand a x1 wager to avoid money laundering, but an x3 is an excuse to make the users risk their money. Not cool.

And the max withdrawal of $3k/day is a limit that will scare the high rollers.

Quote
9. All customers must always ensure that: - That they provide their true home address - That they register in their own name - That they provide their true email address - That they are providing their true home telephone and mobile telephone numbers - That they are not acting on behalf of or for the account of another person - That they will not deposit money derived from criminal activity - That they are not using their account to 'launder' money

Looks like all users need to do KYC, which again, is not attractive for new users.  Undecided

Betnomi Refund Plan
...

This is some great news for the community, thanks for the honesty and for explaining the full situation.

I understand it was a complex event and you had to proceed carefully with the investigation and the legal process. But is good to know that things are moving forward and the Refund Plan is in action.

I will miss Betnomi, it used to be a great community and their poker engine was awesome, we will not forget that Bitcointalk Poker Tournament.
