581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RISKCOIN - Scrypt - NECESSARY FORK AT BLOCK 4500!!! HARD FORK! on: February 25, 2015, 04:37:11 PM
I was going to ask how you're getting such huge staking blocks, I only ever got 0.5 RISK per PoS block at most... then I noticed how big your balance is . xD

Hehe not that big but indeed its staking nicely Smiley

edit: hide the amount for security reasons in image, just to be sure..

Unless you're setting yourself to anonymous on most pools, chances are people can track down your quantities through that anyway...

Easy to do, look at the two high stakes a few blocks ago..
582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RISKCOIN - Scrypt - Trading on 2 exchanges! on: February 24, 2015, 10:29:44 PM
Just fork the coin now Dev!

No need for panic, just be patient for a few hours.

just activate pow at block 3800-3900

if you want to panic sell; sell your coins to me will buy them at 3000 sats

Correct. Give people the time to update their wallets, exchanges there source, mining pools running on the right fork etc. As we don't want to have a situation that one a few people are mining it, take all the coins and dump it on the market. This needs to be STRUCTURED!!! Else keep it how it is. What is the difference? Nothing, just less coins, mining stopped early and that is it. Good for ICO investors as there shares will be worth more , a lot more. Miners had the time to mine, so they don't have to complain.

So FORK, YES, but STRUCTURED, block 4000 or so inform all the mining pools on time, exchanges, and promote the coin on twitter heavily so that hashrate jump back to 10 GH/s - 15 GH/s, if that doesn't happen, then no need for a fork at all.

No matter what happens you are right it needs to be structured but you are making a false assumption of the value of the coin with or with no fork.. Again it's only worth what people will invest and that may not change with or without a fork..
583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RISKCOIN - Scrypt - Trading on 2 exchanges! on: February 24, 2015, 08:00:32 PM
I have moved my miners on another coin, so I will leave the decision to people who still care about it.
I won't vote in the poll as I will no longer support the coin.
4 days of mining even with a small rig was a loss of time.
As soon as I get the coins out of the pool, I will not even bother selling the coins but I will delete the wallet.
This might make it more rare.  Grin

good luck with the coin, though.

Fair enough, understand your perspective.. A basic flaw in the entire coin within days of launch when it's critical to build confidence and momentum can be a killer.. OP needs to step up big and work to right the ship or what's left may fail as well..

Full disclosure, I was one of the largest, if not largest ICO investor and mined right up until both pools crapped out earlier today.. I haven't sold anything so I have a vested interest in the coin but the the screw up is on the OPs shoulders and some things need to happen to spin things positively..

No paypal, no fun.

Using paypal or not is just the question: Who covers the risk... buyer or seller. I will not expose myself to any risk  Tongue

So instead if the miner shows up broken due to a shipping issue you are doing what, leaving a problem which is formally your issue in the hands of the buyer? If not Paypal you should offer escrow..
585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RISKCOIN - Scrypt - Trading on 2 exchanges! on: February 24, 2015, 06:05:25 PM
PoW is effectively over.  There is a bug in GetNextTargetRequired which creates negative targets for PoW blocks which are not allowed in CheckProofOfWork when the block is submitted.  This was triggered by 10 PoS blocks in a row with no PoW blocks.

Code:
    int64 nTargetSpacing = fProofOfStake? nStakeTargetSpacing : min(nTargetSpacingWorkMax, (int64) nStakeTargetSpacing * (1 + pindexLast->nHeight - pindexPrev->nHeight));
    int64 nInterval = nTargetTimespan / nTargetSpacing;
    bnNew *= ((nInterval - 1) * nTargetSpacing + nActualSpacing + nActualSpacing);
    bnNew /= ((nInterval + 1) * nTargetSpacing);

nTargetTimespan is hard coded to be 15 * 40 = 600.
nTargetSpacing is being set to nTargetSpacingWorkMax which is 12 * nStakeTargetSpacing = 720.
nInterval = 600 / 720 = 0 (because it is defined as an int, it is rounded down to 0)
bnNew *= ((0 - 1) * nTargetSpacing + nActualSpacing + nActualSpacing);  <<< From this point on, bnNew is negative because it is multiplied by -1

CreateNewBlock assigns nbits to a negative target.

ProcessBlock will never accept the block because the CheckBlock fails when it calls CheckProofOfWork.
Altering the nbits won't work because ProcessBlock will fail when it calls AcceptBlock and nBits != GetNextTargetRequired.

That stings... What are your thoughts on the recourse, in short is PoW done and that is that, is PoS working properly at least?

586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RISKCOIN - Scrypt - POW block increase soon. on: February 23, 2015, 02:44:46 PM
Is a site already in the works, important to help round out the messaging..

Which site are you talking about?

A website for the coin...

Good point, it is not written in the roadmap, so maybe that is not the highest priority... in fact, i never check websites of a coin Cheesy
I never check either. BCT is the goto place for these coins.

In short to attain some of the roadmap items an amount of legitimacy is required, not to mention continuous outreach.. If the OP is undertaken an advertising campaign like stated (glad to hear) then a site is required as you are appealing to the greater community....

And here we have our first POS block.

http://cryptobe.com/block/2e490afb5f70dc6db8480590a1dc5174c933dac53f4da17835d45260b7cafcdc

Everything is fine and RISKY  Grin

That would be my wallet, very cool..

Does that answer the question about PoS or is there more to do?

I don't find a question from you. What is your question?

You had said you didn't contact bittrex yet because you were waiting to confirm PoS worked, just wondering if that was what you were waiting on or if there is more to do?

My friend, there is a lot to do. Just getting Risk on a exchange doesn't mean that people will buy or sell RISK. I'm currently in process to make some great banners, banners that will be displayed on sites with a lot of crazy people that love money, that like to make money, etc. So there will be some big promotion coming soon.

I've contact BTCPOOL if he is ok with using his name in a part of the promotion.

Wasn't trying to imply there isn't, I invest big for a reason as I like where you are going with things...

I admit when I hit BTC Pool I was surprised that the entire exchange volume is like 0.14 BTC per day, in short if that is indeed accurate (self reported stats from exchange) it's not much of a claim to say any coin is on that exchange...

Disappointed in not seeing any commentary from the dev, important to keep things alive...
593  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: BTC-Flow.com ★ Business Ponzi Game ★ 300%+ Return ★ Invest BTC ★ Referral on: February 22, 2015, 03:46:53 PM
I'd of thought this game would of lasted longer,  If everyone had put smaller amounts on it would still be running!! Pure Greed......

I suspect the OPs double and triple payout bug caused some unexpected balance shifts, coupled with what was most likely a pause in payouts results in a backlog that was unsustainable.. Question at this point is does the OP just call it and take what is left, or allow some payouts to go through reinforcing that teh game is still alive and use that to try and encourage some upgrades..
594  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: BTC-Flow.com ★ Business Ponzi Game ★ 300%+ Return ★ Invest BTC ★ Referral on: February 22, 2015, 02:56:46 PM
This is fucking BULLSHIT!  God dammit.  All I've seem to do the past year is lose over 20+ BTC to fucking scam after scam after scam, no wonder why BTC has dropped over 25% in the past year.  FUCK ALL OF YOU!  BTC WAS MADE SO  OUR GOVERNMENT CAN'T FUCK US OVER WITH MONEY AND YOU LYING ASSHOLES JUST RUIN IT AND FUCK EACH OTHER!

It's just money, you can buy shit with it, but you will never have a soul.  Enjoy the temporary happiness at the expense of others while it lasts because when you are burning in hell you won't be laughing anymore!

I think Bittrex should be next in ToDo list~~  Cool

You know, 28 different ICO investors, so if all those 28 people are sending a message to Bittrex then it will be listed tomorrow. Work as a team and achieve something big. Expect DEV to do everything and you will achieve nothing.

You're right~~ How to request coin in Bittrex? I will send a message to Bittrex too..  Smiley

Just read the support document and the suggested process seems to be to fund them 3.0 BTC to spotlight your coin and get it on the market.. In reading the article it sounds like a good use of ICO funds..

NOTE: This Owner is also running this scam: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=963460.msg10538175#msg10538175

This is the biggest scam in the bitcoin community...they say they "cracked the bitcoin core" and they can turn 0.05 into 5 BTC in 24 hours!  Roll Eyes

Not a good sign for this BTC flow site.

WARNING

This BTC Flow admin is also running a well known scam (at the above thread link).

when you go to that scam site, it uses the same cloudflare security and it says "checking your browser before accessing btc-flow"  Angry

Then it takes you to a well known scam that says "send 0.05 bitcoin today, get 5 BTC tomorrow  because we found a way to multiply bitcoin by cracking the bitcoin core"   Roll Eyes

can't happen and they are flat out stealing bitcoin!

Proof: Go to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=963460 ... that scam site, it uses the same cloudflare security and it says "checking your browser before accessing btc-flow"  Angry

Do not use any of the sites because they are both scams.

BOOO This Admin. You do nothing but hurt the bitcoin community.

How did you figure that out? Cloud Fare has a massive customer base so please don't tell me that is your "proof"
597  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: [+500 Payouts] Pay 0.05 BTC today, get 5 BTC tomorrow (CloudFlare security) on: February 21, 2015, 09:37:17 PM

NOTE:

This guy is the owner of the BTC-flow ponzi/faucet scam - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=950011.msg10538438#msg10538438

Now we know the true colors of this guy.

users beware.

I'm confused here. Is it 70 GH/S network hashrate???

"networkhashps" : 7113011769,

or 7 GH/S?

coin-miners alone is showing 11Gh
599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RISKCOIN - Scrypt - Only 250,000 COINS - LAUNCHED!!!! on: February 21, 2015, 07:30:46 PM
Any reason the two working pools are only reporting their hashrate as the network hashrate?
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] RISKCOIN - Scrypt - Only 250,000 COINS - LAUNCHED!!!! on: February 21, 2015, 07:16:58 PM
So no premine but right at the open the pool is on block 66, sounds like no premine wasn't quite accurate?
Hmm somebody mustve had the source early.

Check https://risk.coin-miners.info/

then you will see that the pool already find blocks at around block 25.

PS: Please note that there are always a lot of solo miners in the beginning. A block explorer will be available soon and then you can clarify yourself that only 2 blocks were premine.

Looking forward to the block explorer, thanks for the quick response as well...

Now looking forward to the ICO distribution
