Has anyone received a password reset email that they hadn't requested?  Also my old password stopped working and had to request a new one and after that it blocked my IP for 900 seconds....

i received it too. will be writing to bitstamp support & investigate.

yeah just in time. looks like the avg time to hit block is working out. happy hour time !

i made it to full 5dn, then i left for abt a day, obviously it will drop back, but wheni'm back, it's supposed to go back up ??

rewards been dropping instead of going up again ? hmmmm

confused Huh

As the pool hash rate goes up, the reward goes down (if you stay at the same hash rate).

that's for sure, well but just wait & see how it goes next day. the red line moves really slow. it does moves up a bit since last 10 hrs.

penalty for going elsewhere, but needed some quick btc for something, well lesson learned, STAY ! hahahaha

but well done, happy to see pool is doing well let's hope the fire keeps burning, 2 a day is NICE.

Wow...

It's a block party!

Sweeeeeeeeeeet...   Grin

i left pool for a day, need some fast btc. now my 5dn dropped, hope it catches back up.

i want xmas party blocks.

125th back in folks. Soon to be 130th when Yoshi returns the RMA. Quick turn around from Yoshi.

NICE .

i'm also waiting for my RMA s7 b5 board(1). Just reached PRC, hope they fix it fast & ship it back.

will be adding some power when more miners arrive. UPS is SLOW ! well i guess they're in x'mas mood.

some x'mas mood for us too ! keep them coming. Pool is slowly growing. hope to see more miners join us.

I think someone with s3 & abt 5 ths hit on cksolo.

mr K,

may i suggest adding server to the pool like cksolo ? Asia, EU & USofA ?

SUPERB !

let's keep the FIRE burning ! Will be adding a tad more POWAH to the pool.

miners are on it's way but it has to be AFTER x'mas. UPS is slow but hope it gets updated & it gets here quick.

keep mr K bz sending payouts.

let's NOT get off track guys. back to the pool.

where is next blockie ? me want chicken !

yeah i also noticed the up & down of 1PH. Most of the time it's at 5PH & sometimes to 6 PH.

would love to see more testing over here.

double payouts received thx mr K

moria, u get paid when pool hits block & after block confirms, i think minimum is 0.01 & for dust, just gotta be patient as it will come when it reaches 0.01 if i'm not mistaken.
590  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: December 19, 2015, 12:22:39 PM

i'd rather have a stable miner with slightly lower hashrate but with minimal HW error & less heat.

Exactly this. The first thing I do with all my antminers is lower the frequency slightly - it brings down the error rate, reduces power consumption making them more efficient, they run more stable & reduces wear, prolonging their usable life span. Bitmain sell their miners tuned to the limit, but I'd rather have a slightly lower hash rate but a longer lasting & more reliable/efficient miner.

Well said, Pug!

Time to sleep everyone.  Have a good day!

btw, those who just bought b8,

you got PAWNED ! price dropped heh Huh
591  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5 PH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: December 19, 2015, 12:11:53 PM
yessss a block.

I have a question...

i'm not in a hurry to be paid...it is just to know:

I earn only dust with my U2
I have now accumulated 15000 satoshi.
When in average do you send to "little miners" their earnings?

Thanks.
None yet. As I answered you 5 days ago ... ... ... Tongue
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.msg13242672#msg13242672

But as I mentioned in that reply, I have worked out a tidy way to do part of that recently.
I can on request as long as I don't get a flood of requests for tiny payouts since it's very much a manual process until I get to doing the second part as I mentioned in that link.

I'll limit it to 0.01 or more though for now since it will be completely manual and 0.01 is only a few dollars of BTC so at the moment no one's gonna starve to death coz they can't get a payout smaller than 0.01 Wink

The minimum I'll (initially) set it to once I have automated most of that process will probably also be around 0.01 to 0.001 anyway.
(certainly no lower than 0.001 initially)

Edit: but yeah I did say at that link
...
One day - in a galaxy far far away Smiley - dust will be distributed.
...
But yeah that's one of the 2 parts to being able to pay dust totals.
... though still not sure when I'll get the other half done of actually accounting in ckdb the outstanding balances.

Ok thanks...
it's a little bit clearer thant the "One day - in a galaxy far far away"
the problem is that to reach 0.001 BTC with my U2 I need at least 200 days...and 0.01 BTc i nead 2000 days...
And so far I have not found "cominers" ...to down this duration (lol)

pool hits more block the time frame shortens !

few more would be AWESOME !

592  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: December 19, 2015, 11:59:27 AM
Any of you that may have a slightly under performing S7 Batch 8 may consider the following:

I noticed I had to go to "Miner Configuration" several times and click "save & apply" several times to get several S7's batch 8 to jump from approximately 1,700 GH/s to at least 4,600 GH/s.  It would also take a while to get to 4,600 GH/s while the HWE's slowly ticked down to reach only 4,600 GH/s.  I under clocked to 693 MHz on those that had high HWE's with 4,550 to 4,630 GH/s maximum hash.

When I under clocked to 693 MHz, my HWE's dropped from upper 0.0300's to 0.0060's [in most cases] and my hash rate went up from 4,550 - 4,630 range to 4,670 - 4,680 range.  You might have to go to  "Miner Configuration" again and click "save & apply" to get it to going above 1,700 GH/s after under clocking but in most cases you will not have to do this multiple times after under clocking.  I found that rebooting multiple times did not get the tedious rigs [With high HWE's and sub par hash rate] above 1,700 GH/s and the "Miner Configuration" with "save & apply" worked much better.  Especially after under clocking.

So, in summery, under clock one level down from 700 MHz to 693 MHz for better results with the batch 8's you have with higher HWE's and sub par hash rate.  This will make your hash rate better, your HWE's lower and your rig run a little cooler.

David
+1

not only that & to those who can adjust their voltage, might be worth to give it a try to up the voltages in very small steps.

just back to basic oc'ing techniques.

more processing power = more power needed (volt) but also = more heat = more errors = shorter lifespan

so it is up to individual to decide how much to add.

of course the lower the hw error, the higher the hashrate, the least heat is always the best result.

take it 1 step at a time BUT remember warranty is gone !

if no options (adjusting voltage) then lowering will definitely help.

i'd rather have a stable miner with slightly lower hashrate but with minimal HW error & less heat.

i would suggest not using the online one, but the link flikflak posted is the source code..
you do have to patch it for newer amd cards.. nasty has a txt at about page 100 or so that has the patch..

it takes about 2-3 days to get a nice 6 letter vanity address.

Depends on video card, I have a Nvidia Geforce 660 Ti (a couple years old).
I ran it for 1 hour and found 4 addresses matching this prefix 1ZZZZZ
So average of 1 every 15 minutes.

i did mine case sensitive.. took forever but its just luck.. same as solo mining..

i never had luck using amd cards for vanity gen ... grrrr

aaron u got pm

btw, looks like it's time for block to come this way hopefully before the next diff jump in couple of hours.

i'm very close to 5dn waiting to reap the rewards.

miner will beep if it detects only 1 fan (sense wire *RPM*) be it fan #1 or fan #2

anyone else noticed this ?

I underclocked batch 8, to about 400Mhz and took exhaust fan away for mod, miner beeped and inlet fan run 51xx rpm.

I think it didn't beep after reboot but I'm not shure 5100 rpm fan was quit loud.

5100rpm? took fast for that fan me thinks.

it does beep after few mins from reboot.

if fan #1 then there's a possibility that it won't beep but if I'm not mistaken it does.

do keep us updated pls.
596  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5 PH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: December 18, 2015, 07:11:29 AM
at current pool hashrate abt 5 ph

we need to hit *roughly* 1.5 blocks per 24 hrs to break even ? if my lousy math is correct.

including upcoming diff change. +17.xx% pending

if below that then it would be losing BTC even compared to high 4% fee for PPS ?

yes, long term might earn more (according to past history) but currently short term (present) need the BTC quick at current prices to pay some bills & to trade trying to cover for bad luck or *if* lucky to a little more.

just saying, maybe no blocks makes me go cukcooooooooooooo

where the chicken ? someone gimme chicken ! (future)

I received 2 Batch 8 miners and within 24 hours they both had 1 dead board.  Sad

At least I can still get 3.1TH/s with them while I was for a response from Bitmain...  Hopefully that doesn't take forever.

How can they deliver such bad units?hoow?this is not acceptable.they are supposed to test them before shipping right?

yeah we can see that shiny QC Passed sticker ? on the miner & outside the box too.

it's defo been "tested"

Latest Update & if anyone "noticed"

this WILL void warranty as per BMT. if possible i would connect all 3 pcie to each hashboard.

Alcheminer-like scrypt miners are equipped with only one PCI-E power connector at each hashing board. The boards run more or less OK with ~300 Wt per board. From this point of view 2 PCI-E connectors for each S7's hashing board should be more than enough.

Sure the more connectors are plugged the better S7 will work.  Wink

i am NOT going to re-phrase it AGAIN & AGAIN.

even 1 pcie will work

but again LAST time ! from BMT themselves :

There are 3 PCI-e connectors for +12V DC input on each hashing board and all 3 are required.

of course it is up to each owners choice & risk as :

A 90-day warranty is provided starting from the shipping date.

just saying, there MUST be a reason why there are 3 & NOT 2 or 1, if they can make lesser & lower the cost etc why didn't they make it ?

Other miners are other miners, this is S7 itself.

I may sound harsh or rude, but it is for each & everyone's sake.

miner breaksdown *hopefully* not then starts crying, waiting, complaining, sendig defective pasrts to bmt, etc . . . by that time, TOO LATE to say uh-oh

S7 Pros.  I have the following question

My 240V outlets won't be ready until next week but I have the S7 today with the 120V EVGA G2 1300W PSU with plenty of extra dual Ported PCI-E cables from other purchases. The EVGA G2 only have 6 VGA connections for PCI-E but with the Dual ports it will be more than sufficient to meet the 10 PCI-E requirement.  That being said, will it work with my EVGA G2 PSU running at 120V and what is the best way to connect it to unit?
The 1300G2 will work fine with an S7, but you have to manage the current flow in the PCIe connectors. The 1300G2 has 6 PCIe connectors. Use 5x single PCIe cables, and 1x double PCIe cable. Connect 2 cables to each blade of the S7 (the S7 does not need all 3 blade connectors to be populated; it runs fine with just 2 connectors per blade). One output of the double connector goes into an S7 blade; the other output goes into the S7 controller. This works because the controller requires very little power. So you end up with 6 cables from the 1300G2 going into 7 S7 connectors.

Each of the 3 S7 blades uses about 400 watts (~1200W total for an S7). Splitting that between 2 PCIe cables means 200W per cable. This is well within spec for the 16-gauge wires that the 1300G2 comes with. Note that each S7 blade has 3 PCIe connectors, but only 2 are required.

this WILL void warranty as per BMT. if possible i would connect all 3 pcie to each hashboard.
