Umpiring has been questionable in this season but in the post-match analysis, it did look like Shai Hope didn't touch the rope. Having said that when Umpires take ample time to check wides etc then they should also check such incidents from different angles. You simply can't rush your decisions and create unnecessary controversy.
It was pretty obvious that Hope didn't touch the rope since you could literally see the shadow properly which is why this isn't a controversy at all and Samson should have walked off instead of questioning the umpires in this case.
Fan's judgment could be clouded and depend on loyalties. At first look, It was a tight one and could've gone either way but it's only up to umpires if they want to give the benefit of the doubt to the fielder or batter.

Conclusive evidence helps, unfortunately, the 3rd Umpire didn't use all the resources. It only implies how poorly they are trained in all the tech stuff.

2 consecutive losses to RR so it feels like RR finally decided to choke in the last phase of the season.
This is what I thought too. RR choking in this manner right before the playoffs is a bad sign for them. Momentum is on KKR's side.
Hope, they didn't peak too early lol.

There is going to be a lot of controversy after this match. The main reason why Rajasthan Royals won this match was due to the fact that Sanju Samson was given out when he was caught by Shai Hope near the boundary line. For me, it looked as if Hope's foot was touching the boundary rope. Samson was quite upset and he had an argument with the on-field umpires. After he got out, wickets fell like a peck of cards, and in the end Rajasthan fell short by 21 runs. Samson fans are going to be mad at Michael Gough, the TV umpire.

Adidas did the design but the final nod came from BCCI.

Rajasthan is famous for the Pink City (Jaipur) so IMO they opting for pink makes complete sense. A couple of teams like MI and RCB got decent ones. SRH messed up big times though.

Adidas could have shown a better design to MR Shah. Now, RR jersey makes sense still pink colour is not for men. SRH is owned by a lady I guess those puzzle maze design on it make sense  Cheesy
Just to add something interesting here since you mentioned " Owned by lady, I suppose you meant to say RR" Her( Shilpa Shetty) husband was involved in pornography and if not wrong sex racket as well, he served some time.

Anyway, wtf is going on with Delhi? lol

Okay, these new mugshots are not looking that bad and bring some normalcy. The first look of the leaked shot looked quite horrible tbh

Artistic creativity is not a forte of BCCI so I don't expect any sort of creativity from Baniya BCCI, they are just good at printing money and sucking out blood from fans, that's it.

I am not sure but I think the design of Jersey is being done by Adidas and approved by BCCI. Still being one of the richest cricketing board in the planet they should have added colours which complement the base blue color. I like the way MI jersey has been designed it looks rich and pleasent at the same time whenever players come tonthe field. The worst according to me is the jersey of RR as I don't understand the concept of using pink color for men jersey.

... And this how players look wearing this new Jersey. https://talkimg.com/image/rgWSa

Opinion: I would call it average too, IMO they should have continued with darker blue shade, it looks much more pleasing, orange doesn't look ugly here either: https://talkimg.com/image/rgq9T

We'll have a dog fight from now on. For obvious reasons, Kolkata and Rajasthan will fight for the top spot, a guaranteed place for the Finals.

CSK, SRH, and Lucknow will depend on other results and their performances. SRH seems fixed for play off because they are playing their last 3 matches at home. Backbenchers can only play party pooper roles.

~snip~

Great! You took it to the uncle's and auntie's level 😆. This is nothing but Jay Shah trying to get some political gain and satisfying the orthodox vote bank. I am confident  that we will now see shit debates on those shit Hindi media houses who have already created a mockery of themselves with thier shit reporting.

This is not about hiring the best designers, this is all about saffron colour. I don't dare nor I care where this political gimmick is going to get with discrimination, what I cared was my team wearing a Jersey that signifies being blue and bleed blue.
There is virtually no need to go that route, don't forget our flag has saffron in it and there was no Jay Shah or BJP at that moment.

Even the 2007 T-20 and 2011 WC winning teams had Saffron on their jerseys and again there was no BJP at that time. BCCI is just incompetent and dumb when it comes to these sorts of things.

SRH vs MI incoming! Am expecting SRH to win this one despite so many sites weirdly calling them underdogs thanks to their morale boosting win against RR in their last match while MI is on the downtrend.

Their whole experiment with making Hardik the captain flopped horribly. Wonder which dumdum thought it would be a good idea by sidelining Rohit. Greed screwed Pandya over big-time.
Considering Rohit's T-20Is career, it wasn't a bad decision. We shouldn't forget that Hardik was supposed to take the T-20 team captaincy for good so it did play some part.

The problem is MI's management didn't go with a smooth transition, overall it was in bad taste and backfired royally. Had they taken Rohit in confidence or at least had an honest discussion, the situation could've been different.

MI will play for pride and they have nothing to lose so I'll go with them.

Leaked picture of Indian jersey for the T20 World Cup

If this is the actual Jersey then it is one of the worst Jersey that I have seen. What were the designers smoking while thinking about the colour combination. What do you guys think about this Jersey?
Billions of dollars in the piggy bank but these fucks can't hire decent designers for literally anything.

With this color combination, those white stripe on the shoulder looks absolutely hideous. It reminds me of a group of uncles/aunties who play badminton and practice yoga in the morning.

I don't understand why they are not trying short ball tactics against Iyer. He didn't run away with runs atm but still, he got a bad game against short balls and the pitch has okayish carry.

Likes of Yash Thakur should remember that as everyone bounced Iyer in the Ranji, it became a big talk in domestic so you must exploit his weakness.

At least no major jump in the run rate but it's more than enough to get ahead of other contenders like Sunrisers and Lucknow. When Punjabis were struggling at 90/8, I thought here we go with a +1 net run rate for CSK.

Considering the tight contest among the top 5 teams, I'm not sure if CSK has enough gas to reach the finals this season but they do have a Champion mindset and you can't rule them out
72  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 05, 2024, 06:49:52 AM
2 interesting matches coming up people. Firstly, we have Punjab vs Chennai where CSK will look to take revenge after getting defeated comfortably by Punjab recently which is what I am expecting to happen.

Secondly, we have LSG vs KKR which is far more interesting because both these teams are very close to qualifying for the playoffs. Am expecting KKR to win this one.
The play-off race would become much tighter and juicer if Lucknow and Punjab managed to win their respective matches.

A fair amount of neutral fans especially Delhites and RCBions will surely cheer for Punjab, these 2 teams will benefit if Punjab comes victorious and this contest should attract some eyeballs.

Lmao!! What kind of shithousery is going with RCB?

RCBions were happy as they were bossing the game but out of nowhere, within 26 runs 6 wickets fell. Too bad the target is too low now, otherwise, there was a tight finish on the card.

74  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 04, 2024, 03:39:34 PM

One trade and mighty have fallen. Hardik's trade to Mumbai snatched a GT's skipper who was looking good and MI transferred Cameron Green to RCB because of Hardik's comeback.

Damn, I miss Pandya. Hate to see this miserable condition of GT.

They are still a good team, but Gujjus deserves it because they didn't make any noise when this trade went through, so now it's all lol and giggles. Grin

Jeez! We have some of the worst commentators shitting all over on the comms. Batter targets a cow corner and Anjum Chopra proceeds with "They got safety there" and the fielder wasn't even in the frame, including wide angle.
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 04, 2024, 01:42:48 PM
Mumbai Indians! They have fallen so far. Tough to believe that they couldn't chase down such a small target on their home ground against a side that hasn't really been known for its bowling in this season.

KKR almost qualified for the playoffs with this clinical win. Coming to RCB vs GT, I am expecting Gujarat to win this one on Bangalore's turf.

Now, these 3 teams are fighting for the top 3 spots from the bottom. Tonight's result won't change their fortune but hope, it's a good contest or possibly a thriller.

SKY was looking dangerous but he's gone, now Mumbai needs a Tim David's special otherwise they are out of the race.

Starc has 2 overs left and possibly 1 from Vaibhav Arora. Tim David needs a match up with one of them, if he gets lucky then there might be some chance for Mumbai.

KKR vs MI underway! Am expecting MI to win this one since they are really, really good at bouncing back in their home stadium even though they lost their last match pretty comfortably against LSG.

If they can restrict KKR under 220, I feel that the match will go to MI. Anything above 220 could screw them in the do or die encounter.
Quite a generous term of do or die encounter IMO and it unintentionally implies that they have a chance of qualifying for the playoffs  Tongue.

For this, they must win their remaining 4 matches with a good margin to up their RR game against top rankers.

Considering Cummins's reputation in the T-20 format (which is not that good), he's doing an exceptional job IMO. I was skeptical and making fun when SRH bought him in the auction but he's turning out to be an excellent trade for the SRH.
Agreed. He still doesn't justify that huge amount, but he is at the very least performing a whole lot better than someone like Starc who is hilariously the highest paid player in IPL history so far.

It's crazy that bowlers like Natarajan, Sandeep Sharma etc are not a part of the T20 World Cup lineup. What else can you expect from dumdums who didn't add Rinku to the main squad?
If he manages to take SRH into finals then I believe it's worth it. I don't feel bad for Starc tho, even he doesn't feel bad for himself but for different reasons lol

This "dumdums" jibe is justified for various reasons but IMO being a selector is a tough and thankless job, when the talent pool is big then you are bound to miss some names in the squad and it pisses off some sections. Overall, you can't keep everyone happy or when the team wins no one gives you credit.
79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 03, 2024, 02:56:26 AM
Holy moly! Wow! I did not see this coming. SRH actually managed to win by a single run which reminded me of how Malinga helped MI secure the trophy several years ago by bowling out Thakur.

Natarajan reversed the momentum completely which Cummins and Bhuvi maintained successfully. RR messed up royally towards the end. SRH are one step closer to the playoffs.

Natarajan has been exceptional for Sunrisers Hyderabad in this season. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Pat Cummins were inconsistent, but they did a good job in this match. Only Marco Jansen and Jaydev Unadkat were out of form (and in case of latter, I can't see any improvement recently). BTW, Riyan Parag scored another half-century and it is just a matter of time before he gets included in the national squad. Anyway, for Rajasthan Royals, this was only their second defeat in ten matches. And that too was by a tiny margin of just one run.

Parag matured a lot in this season but don't forget the new guy Nitish Reddy as well, i mentioned his name when we were discussing upcoming seam allrounders. With the ball, he's still a work in progress but Reddy the batter looks quite impressive to me, plus he's only 20 yo and already showing maturity when batting.

Kinda funny to watch a majority of players from the WC squad getting spanked after the announcement lol

Rohit, SKY, Even Dube, Hardik, Jadeja, Arshdeep, Siraj and tonight Chahal lol, he was doing alright but got humiliated on a slow pitch, fingers crossed for the WC.  Grin
