61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to surprise a friend on: February 20, 2023, 04:23:14 PM
Is Bitcoin a perfect birthday present for a 25 years old college student? I want to surprise a friend, he is facing a lot of challenges due to his studies and he likes Bitcoin but can't afford investing money because of his studies since he is sponsoring himself, we've been together since 2011 and his birthday is on 27th of this month, do you think 0.03BTC is a cool present 🎁 for a birthday.

Would you love to accept Bitcoin as a Birthday Gift?
If as you said, he likes Bitcoin but has not been able to invest because of funds constraints. This would mean that he already knows what is needed in terms of securing his gift, then I believe he would be most delighted to receive Bitcoin as a Gift.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of Delisted Alts from KuCoin!!! on: February 12, 2023, 02:26:04 PM
The below assets have been delisted from KuCoin which means any moment from now withdrwal will be closed as well. Anyone who is holding any of these assets in KuCoin should act quickly before it is too late.
I would say this type of situation is reason why some alts are not good for long term investment because as new potential projects keeps coming up, some existing ones are fading out slowly because they are not able to keep up with the speed at which things operate in the crypto world.
I must say among all these coins, am a bit disappointed about sov being among the list, those who pariticipate in the signature campaign will understand what i meant. Too bad the team where too greedy in my opinion.

Most of these tokens I don't know except a few.

64  Economy / Economics / Re: How much longer until paper money is no longer in circulation? on: January 26, 2023, 10:22:47 AM
There someone who is pulling the shadow behind and that shadow will not let the fiat money extinct and fully replace by digital money. That is the reason why a lot of government today are still not adapting and have laws and regulation regarding the ban of cryptocurrencies. Try to search in the internet the CBDC and the families who establish the banks that priting fiat money. They are the ones who are printing money that came from paper and ink only. That is the real free money out there and those shadows will not let the CBDC to come at end.
We should not abandon paper money. It must always be remembered that paper money is the most untraceable by governments, and digital money allows officials to completely control the financial activities of their citizens. Yes, and in many cases it is very convenient to make small everyday transactions in cash, especially if transactions are made between citizens. Therefore, I think that cash will always be in demand. Their mass will undoubtedly decrease, however, to a certain level. In addition, cash should be kept at least as a backup option, when the use of technical devices for making non-cash payments becomes impossible due to various technical failures and large-scale disasters.
That would be one of the main reasons Governments might want to adopt digital money so that transactions can easily be traced however, from my understanding, I don't think launching CBDC in most countries will necessarily mean the abandonment of paper money because we know there still remote locations where this tech are a problem for transactions.

68  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and crypto and stock is bs, but property is real on: January 17, 2023, 08:50:25 AM
You said Fiat is bullshit but you need it to build properties 🤦

Just listen to yourself mate, if money doesn't make sense to you then avoid doing anything with money, I wonder what you can do without Fiat, Crypto is just making the whole thing decentralized and digital.
Of cause that is typical of some people, lumpsum everything in one. We do understand that our fiat currencies have mostly been affected by inflation worldwide however we cannot discountenance its importance still. Also, we can begin to look into where it is more profitable to invest in, vis a vis ROI hence, whether investing in properties or financial instruments like stocks/shares or crypto is of choice however, the importance of fiat should not be under play in the society because as you said, we still use fiat for these purchases thus far.

71  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did Miss El Salvador cause the Bitcoin price to spike last night? on: January 15, 2023, 12:53:59 PM
The spike was caused by FTX finding billions more in assets. You guys seriously asking this question?
It's normal to ask this question because the same time, Miss Universe happened also and the appearance of a Bitcoin candidate which is from El Salvador made a surprise to the world.
By doing this, Bitcoin did an amazing advertisement again to the world. The announcer also told about how El Salvador using Bitcoin as legal tender and I believe this is a big W for Bitcoin.
Regardless, I don't think that this was the reason Bitcoin moved the way it did because if anyone have been following the chat since the beginning of the year, you would realize that Bitcoin has actually been rising in the immediate short term from the about the first daily candle of Jan. 2023.

72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will not become the world currency. on: January 04, 2023, 11:56:28 AM
Bitcoin is a currency whether you accept it or not and it was never supposed to become the "world currency" it is supposed to be a global currency which it is.

You are right. I believe this is where the problem still lies when people believe that it is only when the government accepts that Bitcoin is a currency that we will understand this. Not all local currencies around the world are globally accepted at the other end of the world and do that not make them currency where they are accepted?
Likewise, Bitcoin as we must agree is been accepted around the world by those that have already understood this and will not necessarily need that Government acceptance, or are they still saying it is not a currency in El Salvador?
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador will be the richest country in the world in 8 years? on: January 04, 2023, 11:46:21 AM
Is it possible for him to become that rich in such a short time

Yes nothing is impossible with bitcoin when it comes to financial investment, El-Savador whole story about debt might have been cleared right before that eight years you thought, one thing with bitcoin as an investment is that it secures the future for you, there's no how you could make an investment in bitcoin over a long duration and never have a reason to smile at the end, it appreciate, its a digital good store of value, its an investment asset, its secured, its anonymous, if you look at the the history from how it all started from 2009 till date then you could get more conviction that El-Savador or you could achieve a big dream with bitcoin adoption and investment.
I certainly agree, and what was the whole excitement about for Bitcoin enthusiasts back then when El Salvador took this step? Apart from we now have a country that has made Bitcoin a legal tender, the belief was also, like anyone that has been investing in Bitcoin from the beginning, making a profit, in the long run, is also the target.
As the article stated if the Bitcoin mining company powered by the geothermal energy of volcanoes are actually operational wouldn't this generate huge profits for the country down the years? I believe your guess is as good as mine, however, whether this will make El Salvador the richest country in the world in 8 years time I doubt but will definitely set the county up well.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We No Longer Pay People Directly on: December 16, 2022, 05:56:56 PM
However, we know that somehow in the future digital transactions were much be in demand than having cash. So, it will be better if we can adopt now and learn how to use it than be left out.
It makes much more sense for us to hope than to think anything about the statements of the government or people who think negatively about this decentralized currency. Bitcoin is expected to become the most popular currency in the future for daily transaction needs, but I will still think about regulation or legality because it is clear that the government will try to reduce the adoption rate by issuing CBDC. They will have their own centralized crypto, so regulation will remain a barrier for decentralized currencies like bitcoin.
Can CBDC be really referred to as Crypto? I noticed in a couple of threads that some have referred to CBDC as crypto is this not misleading or am I the one that doesn't fully understand?
Anyways, I believe a digital transaction is where most countries are headed hence fewer cash transactions. My country just passed a law of reduction on the cash you can withdraw from your bank account weekly/monthly OTC or ATM because they are trying to encourage cashless transactions even though they still have restrictions on Crypto transactions, so at the end of the day, the Government will eventually be a determinant whether the use of Bitcoin and other cryptos will be used regardless whether we want it since some are strongly promoting their CBDC.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB Coin Hit $300 Mark in 2023? on: December 10, 2022, 11:24:58 AM
I guess maybe 3000? Because you know, 300 is not that weird, it's literally 10 bucks away, it could happen 10 minutes from now, that’s not really a question. Even one big whale could do that and that wouldn't be a shock, even in OPs message it says 289 and that’s not really that far off.

I do not think that it could be 3000 by the way, that is way too much, in order for it to go 10x higher, then the whole market should be in a huge bull run and I am afraid I do not believe that it will happen. Of course, this is just a guess and maybe I am wrong and it can do 10x and reach 3000, but that means bitcoin should be somewhere above 150k, ethereum over 10k and in that case bnb could be 3k as well.
It could be that that was what OP wanted to say Grin instead of the $300 he stated. Anyways, I believe that we might be looking north of the $1k price for BNB in the next bull market and it could even be around that price of $3k cos we never can tell what could play out for BSChain in the next Bull run.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do in this case? on: December 10, 2022, 11:15:43 AM
A well known crypto newbie contact me about two crypto project he his currently holding, Mina Protocol and Fuel, the problem is Alameda and FTX are big investors of these two projects, he is asking if he should sell his bag and replace with other altcoin?

Is this a good reason to sell off your coins and replace with another that Alameda and FTX aren't involved? Pls drop your idea .

What will you do in this case?
I wouldn't advise anyone to keep holding any crypto project related or that has any affiliation with FTX and its associate because the FTX news as we saw dropped the market by about -26%, what do you think will happen to the crypto project that is connected to it? here are other good projects to invest in instead of taking the risk of losing everything down the road.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should be my fear? on: December 08, 2022, 09:23:54 AM
As a newbie who has a little knowledge of cryptocurrency but much interest in purchasing bitcoin for a long time Hodl, since the purchasing capital is not included in my spendable budget and the price of bitcoin is not very high at the moment 16k, what should be my fear?

Pls, advise me.

I understand your feeling. So if it's the first time you join the market, please put in the market as little as possible. For example, an ice cream cone a day.
I believe if OP already has an interest in investing in Bitcoin and for the long term too, then there should naturally be nothing to fear. Why the little put-ins too? I understand DCAing to the market but if I had extra money for Bitcoins investment now, it would be all in cos I am doing this for the long term. Most believe the market will still drop, yes may be so but I don't think that will be a lot as compared to where the market is coming from and we might also miss out too buying at these prices because of hoping it will further drop. Every other thing is based on what you can no longer control, act of God, whether BTC will collapse or your Government will tear it down  Wink
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will support Elon Musk if he creates a stablecoin for Twitter on: December 07, 2022, 04:39:50 PM
If elon musk creates stable coins, of course this is a good thing to make cryptocurrencies even more popular, the presence of stable coins is the right solution when people want to park assets, moreover, elon musk has big ambitions to make cryptocurrencies shine even more, we hope he uses the new network a stronger and cheaper one like Fantom or MATIC.

I know this will be interesting, but Stablecoin? I do not think so. My guess is Doge.

I hope Twitter becomes a news platform for crypto and opens up the floodgates of ideas that challenge the mainstream narrative.
And thanks to Elon for cleaning things up on Twitter.
Amazing what a bit of freedom can inspire isn’t it...

Right, that was what most people thought it would be, Dogecoin. At least we know how much Elon Musk promoted Dogecoin however, I think there might be a different coin cos just today I saw this video on Youtube of The Moon and Crypto-Kid talking about how someone had posted a thread they discovered on GitHub of a likely tweeter coin and also relating that to Elon's tweet some weeks ago about payments on tweeter, So it is really likely to see a tweeter coin some time down the line whether it be Dogecoin or a different tweeter coin but I don't think it will be a stablecoin.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Governments will issue "stablecoins" on existing main stream blockchains on: December 07, 2022, 04:02:23 PM
Using existing blockchains such as Ethereum and maybe one day Bitcoin they will bypass the banking systems completely and create a fully digital form of the dollar, hosted on blockchains.

Bitcoin better get ready to support more functions, though moving at a snails pace you can little by little do more with Bitcoin than people know.  Wink

China failed at creating a global digital currency, they didn't use the blockchain and its centralized.

Sure, we hate printing of money, but at least we can more actively see the MINTERS of USDs and what happens to that money.

Physical cash is a MASSIVE waste of power and resources. From the materials its made out of, to the machines that create it, to the endless agents who have to find counterfeiters, to the banks hosting money on centralized ledgers, the list just goes on and on.

It just doesn't make sense to have a stable coin "linked" to a bank somewhere. Defeats the real purpose of crypto and Bitcoin in general and then who trusts this auditor?

FULLY digital dollar coming to a block chain near you!

I don't know how I feel each time I see someone writing stuff like this. I understand you are just imagining things that you think would possibly happen but, why would the Government, any  Government create their digital money on any existing blockchain? are they going to take over the chain or will they leave the control of the country's money to the dev of the chain? You do understand that this is one aspect they are fully in control of. So what happened to all the CBDC? Isn't that their so-called digital currency? It is not happening.

80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB Coin Hit $300 Mark in 2023? on: December 06, 2022, 10:05:58 AM
I believe most Alts follow the BTCitcoin market trend which BNB might also follow, so if the market sentiment is still in a more Bearish trend, BNB might be on the same trajectory unless there is some Bullish news with BSC chain that might impact the BNB coin positively as we have seen occasionally. However, I don't think the $300 price is unattainable for BNB in the coming year 2023
