I think that a time machine can never be made. Because if one day the time machine is made, then maybe a LOT OF PEOPLE WHO COME FROM THE FUTURE VISIT. But in fact, until now there has never been a future "time tourist" who returns in time and visits us. That means, the time machine can never be created.

Actually it could very well still exist, ever thought of the idea that it might not be possible to also interract with the timeline? Solves the whole problem of ''future tourists'' ''Grandfather paradox'' and more.
622  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Which is the best/most badass God/Deity of all time and why? on: December 10, 2017, 12:46:30 AM
Could be Roman, Greek, Indian, Norse or whatever, what makes him/her the best/most bad ass and why?

eg. Dionysus, cause that dude could party! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dionysus

Dionysus was a deity/god? Think he was just a guy that jerked off to much in the streets of Athene and was probably the only one with enough balls to insult Alexander and convincing enough to actually make Alexander belief his insult was truth.

But I would probably go with... Vishnu.. ''Now I am become death, destroyer of worlds'' - Bagvad Gita
Can't think of a more perfect line in history.

Dionysus was a bit extreme in my opinion, but he sure did convey his principles and ultimately thats what a philosopher wants to do, Set an example.
623  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Resource Based Economy on: December 10, 2017, 12:42:00 AM
Was sure I heard of this before, then I see it. ''Venus project'' unfortunately it assumes that man is not inherently greedy by its nature, that man is not selfish. It's a cool theory, but I think thats what it will always be, a theory. Also some places are just naturally more abundant than others. Take Japan they basically got nothing and have to import everything. It's like the idea of unconditional giving/sharing, works only if you assume it goes both ways. But likely someone will take advantage of another before we see peace on earth.

People naturally compare themselves to others, their productivity and welfare. This theory doesn't account for any of the psychological factors which capitalism actually does. It recognizes that we are competative and tries to leverage that to get the most out of humans. I don't necessarily agree with capitalism but I also don't necessarily agree with communism. All these theories are great on paper, capitalism, communism, resource based economy. But practically they seldom work out well because being human is more complex than economics and ideology.

Japan certainly has many good things to offer, like any other country. Everybody has at least something that someone needs.

Sure, they're tech savvy but its one of the reasons I pointed out. Looks great on paper, works horribly when practiced out. Just like everything. I think the best thing humanity had ever going in terms of politics, economy and hierarchy was tribal life, everything after that went downhill.
624  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Some ideas about rights on: December 10, 2017, 12:29:05 AM
Each person and each group should and do have the right to form their own system of interactions, whether that is religious, political (or lack of) or anything else, providing they do it at will.

When a child gets brainwashed by their parents, it is against their will.

I believe in order for something to be against will, you have to have a will? Just saying, these children don't have a will when it comes these things, most likely they don't even really know what that stuff means, but they understand the emotional charge but it will take repition for it to click. So how's it against their will when they haven't got one in these matters? They naturally listen to their parents cause thats what they biologically understand, so if anything it's in their wills approval if they had one.
625  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Quantum Theory on: December 10, 2017, 12:23:47 AM
So you believe everything is random?

Nothing is accidental.."small causes can have larger effects".

I could still accidentally break a vase, the owner of the vase gets mad at me and I might then take out my frustration on someone else who had a breaking point and commits suicide.
Still started with an accident, don't care how metaphysical you want to get. It wasn't intentional and therefore it was an accident.

628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Help] Easiest way to get Iota? on: December 09, 2017, 06:42:03 PM
Hello everyone,

I'm an old investor in BTC who is recently getting back into it, however I'm now turning my attention to some alt coins that I think have potential.

I am looking to purchase around $100-$500 worth of Iota the simplest way possible, how would I go about doing this? The most comprehensive answer that best fits my needs will receive a small tip in Iota once I've made my purchase.

Thanks!

- Parodium

Oke register on Hitbtc.com or chose an exchange to your liking https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/iota/#markets
Deposit BTC (click balances/wallet and it should be quite obvious)
Once BTC arrives you go the the markets and enter the ticker for IOTA which is MIOTA
Purchase the amount of MIOTA you would like
And there you go.

If this was helpfull you can keep the MIOTA.

630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Amazing profits from ICO’s? ✅ on: December 08, 2017, 10:55:02 PM
Hi,

I think some people need more patient with their investment in ICO.
Check www.icostats.com. The profits are amazing!

You also need to have a good project for profits..

NXT its top performer was a hodl of over 4 years though, and that list is only a handfull in comparison to the amounts of ICOs we're seeing and are upcoming. You either will have to really know what you're doing and do massive amounts of research finding that one thing you're looking for or become really lucky. Seems like platforms and chains where dapps and other chains can be built on are most succesfull though.

If you really believe you got a golden ticket, sit on it for 5 years. 5 years is a long time though in crypto and you could potentially miss out on other very lucrative ventures such as sticking with BTC instead.
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Universa be bigger than Ethereum, NEO, and waves? on: December 08, 2017, 10:50:17 PM
I could see it become a multi-billion dollar company but it will take a lot of time. It is attractive though to move away from Ethereum for a company and start with other blockchains. Ethereum isn't bad but its getting crowded and for now doesn't scale, probably will in the future but you can't really wait for that when you want to move forward with your business.

Don't really expect Universa to become any bigger but with enough time it could. But it will take alteast 3-5 years or possibly more, I do feel crypto is kind of stuck with these high priced coins and doesn't feel like they could be replaced, which is a very wrong way to think. For now we haven't really seen any existing big companies moving towards these projects, just start ups. But once they do they aren't gonna settle with Ethereum just because its known and has a high marketcap, they will likely settle with NEM/XEM or other blockchain projects that have better tech and are faster and scale better. Don't really understand why NEM isn't already bigger than ETH

633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LUXcoin - Beware! Scam! Next Signatum is in progress! on: December 08, 2017, 07:37:02 PM
Seems like there's  coming out a lot of news from media outlets that are pretty positive on this coin, I'm in it myself and the community is growing and quite nice.
There's always that chance that it is a scam but same goes for everything else in crypto. The premine doesn't really bother me, you got plenty of ICOs raising millions of dollars, more than this premine, without a product and just a ''vision''. Plus this stuff costs money, I personally kind of understand it but I can see it's quite frustrating when you want to get invested and have to worry about the devs dumping or not. But there's a lot of support for this coin.

But overall it seems like its getting picked up more and people are eager to see and hear more about this coin. Time will tell.

"Duurzaam" minen...  Huh Dat is toch per definitie een tegenstelling...  Roll Eyes

Just saying.

635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Andreas Antonopolous - credit where credit is due on: December 08, 2017, 05:09:48 PM
It's nice to see one of the nice guys rewarded, he seems to come across as a very humble and kind man and it's nice that the community are willing and able to help him in such a way! A few million is perhaps a little excessive but so what, now he can be a real voice and won't have to worry about the financial implications of his activities/beliefs.

I think he deserves it, might be excessive but not in my opinion. He was early but due to circumstances wasn't able to go forward with it, but he devoted a lot of years into it regardless. It's really cool to see that the community supports him in such a way. I think a lot of people we're heavily influenced by his speeches.

I have learned so much about bitcoin only because of him and his videos. I always used to see his updated videos in YouTube.

Yeah me to, he offers a fresh perspective on money. Got me thinking different on it.

This must be the single best move I've ever witnessed in a community.

https://qz.com/1151233/andreas-antonopoulos-got-2-3-million-in-bitcoin-donations-after-roger-ver-bitshamed-him/

Quick rundown of the article:

Roger Ver tweeted how Andreas was poor and if he had invested he'd be a millionaire

Community is baffled by his tweet and finds it innapropiate

Anreas replies how he did invest but needed to sell to pay the rent and support his family, he recently got out of debt.

Bitcoin donations start running into Andreas Bitcoin account

Andreas is stunned and needs time to process going offline for a few days he says.
638  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: BITCOIN ETF's on: December 08, 2017, 12:30:59 PM
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ✅ BLUNNER | ✅ AI ✅ WEBDESIGN ✅ MARKETPLACE [ANN] [BLUN] on: December 08, 2017, 12:53:13 AM
A few questions: with a total supply of 650 million and those trading on the open market, altough it is highly unlikely, lets suppose all investors start selling their tokens at 5 dollars per coin. For all these tokens to sell out Blunner would need 429,000,000/12=35,750,000 million customers. Or 7,15,000 customers over a span of 5 years. This will likely be a popular tool but I'm doubtfull it can give the returns assumed on the website. Wouldn't it just be far more simpler to just allow fiat currency payments and issue the token as a dividend mechanism and possible buyback in the future? If this is not the case then I personally wouldn't invest. It's highly unlikely that there are enough paying customers to satisify all investors/token circulation with extra tokens being given out to advisors and whatnot with the only purpose to pay for services offered by Blunner. I'm can see this become a success, it's very inovative and this space needs something intuitive you can use to create a website. But it's not very attractive to invest in.
640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Binary-Chain - VeriCoin and Verium - The First Dual-Blockchain Protocol on: December 08, 2017, 12:23:24 AM
But what exactly are the technological implications of this? Is this a platform with a currency, is it designed to operate as a currency only such as Litecoin? I checked this project about 4 months ago for the first time and I find it interesting, something I believe Soferox launched an ICO for. But I'm not tech savy and all this announcement isn't making me any wiser on what exactly is being developed? Will this be applicable to other chains? I'm looking hard to find something here that I'm missing. Can someone guide me?
