Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NR 1 Reason why Bitcoin is safer than cash

Forget government control, price, mugging...bitcoin is safer than cash because of lot of reasons but one is nr 1. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/dirty-money/A recent snapshot of the U.S. money menagerie is also disquieting. In the last several years New York University graduate student Julia Maritz and her colleagues at N.Y.U.’s Center for Genomics and Systems Biology analyzed genetic material on 80 $1 bills and found roughly 3,000 types of organisms, including bacteria linked to pneumonia, food poisoning and staph infections. Never heard of a bitcoin wallet giving you gonorrhoea.......yet I know about allot of businesses that refuse to take cash and are electronic only, businesses in the food sector. Which I find a very nice idea, no employees receiving dirty coins in their hands and then giving you a cupcake with the same dirty fingers. I can see how regulators might want to start implementing rules on electronic cash only in stores where food gets directly handed from person to person due to the hygenical issues.

Probably because at the moment with such drastic price actions there's a lot more activity going on, people selling/withdrawing/depositing and buying. So the network(if I can call it that?) gets flooded and then well you get the scenario screenshotted.

Other / Politics & Society / Re: do you think pedophilic people increase in number ?

on: September 13, 2017, 01:31:46 PM

In my country , At least one innocent child is murdered by an inhuman pedophilic creature. I realize that this kind of murders are getting increase day by day. I cannot find the answer for this increase. I am curious about other countrys' situations. Do you think pedopholia is the most dangerous crime of all crimes ?
There probably isn't a significant increase just more attention to it which makes it easier to notice it. Take the Child refugee's in Australia I believe 40's/50's.. lot's of reports coming out a decade earlier or so about child molestation and abuse but it's been over 50 years. It's just easier for media to report stuff like this. I hear about train crashes in the USA and honestly I think to myself why I need to know about this but it's an example. 30-40 years ago maybe even 25 years ago I would never have heard such things.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for alt coins at 1 satoshi with high potential of being big

You can take a look at Campuscoin CMPCO. The team left and there's only the founder left who said he would continue the project but won't meet their targets. I think it's value is even less as 1 sat.
If I we're you I'd do some good research into ICO's or existing coins that have a potential of going huge because what they do actually makes sense. Else you might want to hit a blackjack table or put your BTC on a single digit number on roulette.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: China to allow ICOs again

on: September 13, 2017, 12:21:21 PM

Everyone seems to be going like oyeah great news China, and I'm sitting here like... ''Totally didn't see that coming.'' Unethical immoral move causing allot of people to lose money for their own benefit. Manipulation at it's finest. In my opinion they could have kept their ban on ICO's it would only stimulate the crypto envoirment to find ways around this and develop even further beyond government regulation and laws trying to control it.

I would like to add though that the whole china bans ICO's and exchanges thing might not be something for the long term. And that Korea is in a positive stimulans towards the crypto scene. I don't actually get why China doesn't aswell because they could potentially shift the economic balance but they also risk losing their grip trough that.

I bought 79 coins at $30.7 like a dummy... Anyway I'm down quite a large amount. I'm not hoping to sell and take the loss, but I may if things don't look up. I am hoping if anybody can give their insight as to whether or not NEO may bounce back.
I was thinking it would bounce back to at least $28 range if China brings out good news this week, but no sign of that as of now.
Any opinions?
I think like the rest of the comments that It's not going to generate you a profit, If I am correct though NEO generates GAS and there might be a solution to your loss there. Though I don't think that your 79 NEO will generate enough GAS for you to recover the losses quickly.

Other / Politics & Society / Re: What would be the ideal regulations to make a country crypto-friendly?
|
on: September 12, 2017, 01:53:33 PM

I think it is almost impossible, the best I can think of for now is not banning exchanges/currencies etc. But honestly it's supposed to be decentralised and it's gonna be tough regulating something that has no actuall organisation where you can begin. If you want to regulate fiat, you go to banks. If you want to regulate a product you go to the manufacturer. If you want to regulate politics(constitution) then you go to parlement.
Because there is no centralised organ, there is also no regulation it is also why most people know bitcoin to be so popular as a shady currency you go to with on the deepweb and buy your Ak's and drugs.
The best thing at the moment what any regulator could do is go to the exchanges and offer some kind of backing service or insurance. Being able to compensate for theft.
Maybe that's a profitable new idea? Wallet insurance.. (inb4 fraud)
If you want to stimulate crypto then the best you can do is start negotiating to implement blockchain technology on governmental and medical services.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment?
|
on: September 12, 2017, 01:40:35 PM

I'm not really sure about Gulden as it is a currency that focusses itself nationally (The Netherlands). I'm not sure why retailers would not use Bitcoin or ethereum instead. It's cool to own some Guldens again though. They sure do have a great team working behind it though and it could become very succesfull in local stores. I definitely think it won't flop but I wouldn't expect this to be some crazy investment where you can see huge returns.

Economy / Trading Discussion / Advice & Tips
|
on: September 12, 2017, 01:15:59 PM
|
I thought it would be helpfull to just start a thread where people can give advice & tips without others needing to ask. I'd like to see this thread going with just posts giving advice and no actuall questions so people can quickly scroll trough what others have to say.
So I will start with my advice:
1. Ask questions about coins, lots of them (to yourself, someone else or both) 2. Do your research, know what you're getting into. 3. Invest what you can spare and are willing to lose. 4. Investing/trading is basically being your own boss, act like it! Be disciplined, don't worry about missing a boat there's tons of them and even a ferry! 5. Be willing to learn and have fun doing it.

Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading

HI, i'm new in the cryptocurrency world and i would like to know some things: 1. Where do you trade altcoins/bitcoin and why? Bittrex/Poloniex? 2. Where's the best place to change bitcoin/altcoins into FIAT with the lowest fees? 3. What's your strategy in trading and how much do you invest in it? Thank you so much for all your answers!
1. I use Bittrex and I will probably also use Poloniex in the future as not all exchanges offer all coins and it can vary, depends on what you'd like to invest in. 2. I haven't withdrew yet so I wouldn't know I'd probably give Litebit.eu a shot first 3. I look for something that actually adds value to the envoirment of crypto or businesses. I like to see coins that have potential actually providing a service or be a good alternative to BTC/Ethereum. Also I threw some bucks into a coin that I honestly have no clue about for the fun of it. (suprisingly doing well.) I invest what I can spare. If I had more my portofolio would be larger as it is now. I've thought about taking up a loan as my budget is rather small but it would be contradictory as I'm trying not to have to take a loan EVER trough crypto. Set some goals on what you want to accomplish, one of my goals would be to purchase myself a tiny home. Welcome to the crypto world, learn some stuff, have some fun and best of luck! Most important advice I could give you is you can never ask too many questions!

Well there are plenty of online vendors you can try. Here's one for starters:
Litebit.eu
I don't know if you're looking for a specific big holder or something though. Welcome to the crypto envoirment though as I assume you're a new big investor.
