Nuggets did not cover the handicap. When they are matched with the best teams, the Warriors can step up their game and nobody can take them for granted. I learned not to wager when they demolished the Boston Celtics last month.

But the Nuggets won by three. Nikola Jokic hits a buzzer from 40 feet behind. The pro Warriors audience was briefly taken in silence by their disbelief that the match just ended without overtime.

What an incredible match! The Warriors have missing members of the squad however they played well and took us by surprise.

This Warriors team season is done so far Steve Kerr remains their coach, man! he's philosophy is literally out of place, he ships their best young scoorer out Jordan Poole, that was fair enough, but what's with having Kuminga on the bench for the last 18 minutes of the game ? having already won the 3rd quarter by 20 points differents, he just doesn't trust these young guys, despite the fact that they his best assest other than Curry right now, Pod, Trayce and Kuminga would be having more time on any roster in the league right, and he should take a deep look into the toping the league and looking how many minute their young lads are playing either as a starter or of the bench, he's the main reason of Team USA woeful under performance in the FIBA too, I just don't know why it's taking the Dubs too long to understand they need a big change.

It is not the same in all groups. Serbia is for instance in "poor" group. They will destroy opponents there but not all teams will pass from there. Still not 100% sure how it works since I just heard it while watching Croatia. I guess there are some groups for seeded stronger countries and Serbia just ended below the cutout line due to some bad result.

Lucky you to be riding on a delicate lead on our friendly, courtesy of Girona's continued brilliance to their la liga season, I will probably the nex few game week to watching them I've only watched about 2-3 times this season, and those were the matches they didn't meet up to my expectation of being the league leaders and felt like they were just the joke of the season, I guess I might be wrong.

I will deserve the right to pay the rest to your wallets immediately or next week depending on mempool state on Sunday.

That's a perfect solution imo, and I'm opened to that option.

It shouldn't be an issue for anyone that is on the same sig campaign and wants to participate in this Pool.

Barca and Girona to decide my round with Chi20, and yes, I'm fully expecting Atletico to stop the La Liga leaders in their tracks, while Barca find their way back up.

Our opinions on both games are aligned, but so does that of Trofo my friendly match opponent, it's quite hilarious how many answers we have in common, but there sure are some deciding factors down the week for us.

Isn't Jordan Ayew also headed out for AFCON duties with his country ? Edouard would have been Ayew replacement for me, but I've got the perfect selection option I want for my forwards and Ayew leaving for International duties would make Eze and Oliseh play a more advance style as Palace major scoring options, perhaps Mateta could be worth a look too, but as I've said earlier, my forward line is complete.

Lol I thought those our noisy neighbor " Ghana" missed out. I'm currently with only Ghehi from Palace.

They will be a trending topic in Twitter Nigeria right now if that had missed out Grin

That was quite a great week for me, I'll be getting over 100 Points in total once my autosub comes into play, I really can't even remember the last time I was close getting such points for a game week, pheew!

Free for those particpating in at least two Sportsbet pool or $50 is also fine by me, I'm not just so sure about how engaged I'll be with this as additional pool, but you I'm always down for whatever and whenever.
I remember Tomahawk9 being a very active participant of the last AFCON tournament, but it's been quite a very while he was active on here.

agree that free category should be properly defined, maybe should be free for those that are participating in three pools, not two (not sure what difference will make now, but will probably make it in the summer to have more participants in La Liga and Calcio pools Smiley)

yeah, tomahawk9 is not active anymore, hope that he is ok

I strongly agree on the 3 pools or more, because giving it a second thought, Sportsbet have at least 4-5 active sponspored pools, and there but a few people that join just one or two, I understand it could be down to interest and personal decision, but having a free pool for users playing in 3 already paid pools once in a while like this should drive more participants towards the upcoming seasons, that being said, I would also like an all inclusive pool, so if there will be a fee for others it should be highly moderate, maybe something in the range 0.5 mBTC which is currently a bit over $20, or around ~$30 would be fair, given that it's the start of a new year and quite a number of us (myself inclusive  Grin), might be on a tight budget for this month.

Eh, my bench choices ruined me, lost 11 points just for thinking Raya would have an easier time than Ederson, etc etc. 1 point off the average and I'm taking another transfer penalty to offload AFC peeps, but I'm really here for the ride at this stage.

Am I dumb for inserting Palmer just because he seems cheap? (yes).

Palmer is an absolute steal at £5.6m at this point in the season - he's in form and the second U21 with the most goal involvement in 2023 after Bellingham. Sometimes I marvel how we were able to persuade City to sell at such a low price given his potential.

Another absolute steal that I was considering was Michael Olise, but it seem he's pick up a bit of knock too, I don't he's completely fit for long term have, but he's had a monster haul in the last for consecutive games for a player of his calibre valued just under £6m, for now, and after their fixture against Arsenal, Crystal Palace seem to have some good fixture to have him and/or Eberechi Eze for.

I had him early in the season and took him off after the first injury. This is not a viable option. Eze and Ayew seem more logical.

Another man to target now that Salah has left for the AFCON is Jota, but Liverpool fans aren't providing us with enough information about him.

It's quite interesting to see that we have some Tennis questions again, it's going to be an interesting end to this BSFL season, I reckon. I really have not figured out my answers yet, but since it's friendly match against a mediocre team Trofo, this should be a walk in the park for my team  Grin

Yes, yes, 1 mbtc to you. I hope ETH stays forever and relegates with United.

I loved the game tonight. Sure, we allowed 2 goals but the energy levels, wow. So good to see Jota back properly, Gomez surprising me again and again with how capable he is filling in for Tsimi/Robbo. Sure, City's chasing us down but we get to meet them at Anfield, bring it on!

Newcastle were awful, they surely can compete this season, both of their goals were just rather not convincing as that of a good team ready to compete, except for the first goal, the pick out pass was awesome, and the finish from Isak even very classier and top notch for striker. I just wish Darwin Nunez would learn from that and produce a stellar performance in Salah's absence, but all will be well so far Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota + Cody Gakpo are all fit.

...how do you throw 6 points down the drain in a space of few days and expect to win the league, when the likes of Liverpool and Man City will probably just starting having their best run of form.
Well City had a bad run of form few weeks ago. They dropped lots of points within a couple of games, Arsenal have been bad, but not worth all the criticism.

Better to drop points now than during the season run-in.

- Jay -

1. It's not criticism, it's just stating an obvious fact that happens with Arsenal year in year out in the last few season.

2. It's January and the seaon have already begun, just so you know, every team are now very consicous of every single game now, and any point lost now could make or mar any team's potential success for the season.
634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 31, 2023, 04:53:26 PM
Second loss in a row for Arsenal.

We really need the January break, with less matches to just reboot and find that cutting edge. Arsenal have not been playing good: creating little chances with Odegard and Saka really out of form..
I am confident we can find out feet again and I hope when we do the rest of the park are not too far away.

More gutted that Tottenham won comfortably.

- Jay -

That’s like Arsenal tossing 6 points in the way of Liverpool and Man City, how do you throw 6 points down the drain in a space of few days and expect to win the league, when the likes of Liverpool and Man City will probably just starting having their best run of form.

I'm also in for a friendly match if anyone is interested. Being eliminated early I have nothing to answer for on the next round. I just don't want another "winner takes all' competition, but a friendly game against someone.
If by friendly you mean to make a bet. I am in and I will let igebotz answer harko challenge and save our reputation.

50$ paid in USDT or BTC? Rules as I have written above (all 10 questions + second penalty if needed). Quote and you are on

Yeah, @Trofo I’m in!

I’m in against you for $50 bet paid in BTC, all 10 questions are considered bar the first penalty, and the 2nd penalty question only comes into play if there is tie after all other questions.

How about a friendly match for those are eliminated from the Cup already ? I’m sure Igebotz and Trofo would be eliminated already, I don’t even need to check to fixture to be sure 😂
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 31, 2023, 01:34:35 PM
I had Pistons to win last night on my betting ticket alongside 76ers ( who ruined my entire bet ) , Mavs and Wolves and I swear whenever I pick 76ers to win , they lose and vice versa...so I think it's safer for me to simply forget 76ers are in NBA  Grin Grin. Overall , I should be happy for Bulls but I'm more happy for Pistons to finally get that win because no one wants to suffer to many defeats in a row ...especially for the mental health.

You had parlay? Sorry mate if 76ers ruined it. But honestly, I would not bet on 76ers without Joel Embiid, although I can say they are still good but the problem is the consistency, missing their best player is really a problem compared to the Bulls who gets better losing Lavine (one of their best players).

Yeah, the Chicago Bulls are slightly better with Zach Lavine sidelined, I'm not saying this makes Lavine a terrible player, but maybe that's not just the team he's meant to be in, while there is a very huge speculation of where he would end up, with a high chance of him getting traded, Raptors were one of those team, now I don't think Raptors is a possible destination after just trading for RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley, the other in question was said to be Miami Heat, while the Heat look to have gotten some significant piece from draft picks and a couple of veterans, addition of Zach Lavine wouldn't be a downgrade, neither will it disrupt whatever chemistry they're trying to build now.

Mamchester Losenited at it again, this time it's against Nottingham, how a lot of people are still very convinced that Ten Hag would finish this season as Man United manager is something I don't understand, tbh.

This is his first bad season, so I don't see why you're already asking for his head; after two bad seasons, some of you were clamouring for Arteta's sacking; if the Arsenal board had listened to the mobs, where do you think the club would be now? What United lacks is quality; I doubt anyone will survive with the present squad.

If you think he'll be fired before the end of the season, I'd like to place a side bet with you.

Any coach could have bad a season, and their current run of form isn't why I think he will get sacked before the end of the season, but his tactics is my main point of concern, and when a team isn't playing really well and the coach look short of ideas every second on the sideline you don't expect club owners to stick around with them for too long, and he would soon fall out with another fan favorite player and blame him for their poor form, Maguire was at some point a scape goat(yeah Maguire was indeed awful, but has gotten better), Ronaldo, Sancho, and I really think there some dressing room trouble, Rashford and Bruno have lost their mojo, perhaps, every player does at some point, having played incredibly year in year out under different managers. However, the lack of hunger or sense of urgency from the team best players for only God knows why, and again, regardless of their performance no proffesioner player likes their coach getting used to finding scape goats amongst the team when the going gets tough.

As I thought that Manchester City would win by a much bigger difference I transferred Alvarez and made him the captain. Even though the score wasn't like I expected I can say that I'm a little relieved by Alvarez's scoring a goal. The players who keep Palmer in their squad this week have caught a really big advantage.

Palmer is a must have right now, he's the best assest from Chelsea right, one of the best in form FPL midfielders and he's for a price bargain, the cheapeast in terms of points per game in relation to player's value.

Nkunku would be another another gem to behold, especially with Jackson inminent departure from the club for AFCON.

forgot to make some changes to my team before deadline
festive season at it best

not sure what I would do, so it could be a good thing after all, since Haaland doesn't play from start and wouldn't onboard others from City, will be interesting, and 2 transfers next week

Haaland is ruled out until January 13th according to the FPL site injury status, it's going to be very interesting to see how people will select their captain without Haaland, Salah, Son, even the currently red hot Kudus and Chelsea's Jackson too are going to be on the leave for international duties.

These are times that will really differentiate between good FPL managers from the nothing but just trend-bandwagons.
Not really, there isn't a single manager out there that can predict things perfectly for one GW. Really good managers make good decisions whole season and towards the end it tells, since majority of their decisions work out ok. FPL is just a game of numbers and it all sort of comes back to the mean sooner or later.

In any single GW variance is just too high and nobody can predict that other then bet on easier fixtures and top players.

Yeah, I understand and the point trying make is that those fews that these top players with be out for will determine quite a number of things, just take look at how yourself and Morvillz7z manage your teams, you know that either of you might not win a single game round as the top point scorer, but you'll fancy you chances over a 38 games period for no other reason than the fact the logic will eventually pay off in a long term approach over just luck, no illogical manager will be lucky for 38 games, while no logical manager will be unlucky for 38 games as well, so If we put the former and latter manager together, in my opinion the logical manager will always have the edge in a very good ratio, compared to the other.
