I send method       transfer 0 Addr amount Payment_id

how to chance transaction fee ?

Why do you want to change it? The transaction wont get through except if some miners are still mining with very outdated software...

ı fee very low my transaction not confirmed

Have you downloaded the latest software? You may have a 2-3 months old one which had smaller fees and transaction arent going through anymore..

Not work, why?

Error: transaction ....is too big.

It's amazing.. a coin where we can't transfer the money.... seriously this coin is dead.

You probably have too much dust from pool mining (a problem solved some months ago) or your want to transfer many XMRs.

In either case try to send lower number until you dont get the error. Dont be suprised if you cant even send 1 and you need to send like 0.5 or lower. It is the fixed pool dust problem which also bloated the blockchain. In reality you can send thousands without an error...

P.S. please sell them at polo. I have a few small orders Smiley

Thanks it work.... But seriously, this coin is in alpha test? or something lower than alpha?  Roll Eyes

 Smiley

You can always help this coin to get better. You will probably receive donations too or ask for a bounty etc...

guys i downloaded blockchain 5 days old

what command in bitmonerod to sync this last 5 days more ?

it is syncing by itself. It should give some messages already but try to type   set_log 1  and see what it says...
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: August 19, 2014, 04:27:37 PM
Check in the block explorer. Just paste your address and find the right tx ID.
http://monerochain.info/

Moneros anonymity works. You cannot just look up all transactions to and from an address.

This. Also monerochain.info doesnt work. You can use chainradar.com instead.

If you want to find the tx check the simplewallet log.

This is interesting.

I am waiting to see when merged mining is out and when multipool is out. Any time estimate to see that?

Hi folks!

I got sick of all the altcoin pump and dumps around and dismissed all altcoins for 6 months and focused on BTC. But now i feel/see an increasing demand in alts with anonymity as a key feature.

I am sure you have done a lot more reading / researching on this matter.

What makes monero stand out in comparison to other alts like DRK for example?

cheers!

DRK relies on masternodes, which is as centralized as it gets. Monero doesnt need masternodes.

That one is pretty much enough but there are many pages with the whole list...

Guys!

We've added cryptonote-based currency - Monero (XMR).

It seems we are the first lottery who really did.

Go to Fairproof.com and spend your Moneros.  Grin

Nice Smiley Is there any thread to check about this website being legit?

Beats me.  This is the point where Mulder walks in and says "the truth is out there!" and the aliens start grabbing people...

I wonder if in the future someone from bytecoin/cryptonote will come out and reveal what was going on...

lets make a bounty for whistleblowers Tongue lol

Ok so now it passed that error but i got another mentioning once_atomic somewhere on boost folder being undefined... i cant copy paste right now...

We haven't seen this error.  You're on the latest github source and building on Linux?  Are you trying to build the daemon alone or the QT wallet?  Can you remove your tree and start over and paste any error you're seeing when you get a chance?  Several of our machines are debian based and we are able to cleanly build both QT and the daemon on there.  What distro are you using?

I am on the latest github source and building on ubuntu 13.10. I am trying to build the daemon.

I am getting this:

obj/bitcoinrpc.o: In function `call_once<void (*)()>':

monerochain.info looks broken for days now. Maybe you should start taking values from another blockexplorer like http://chainradar.com/xmr/blocks

634  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could BTC-E dump be the result of a mistake? on: August 18, 2014, 05:39:08 PM
I am thinking about why he didnt send to other exchanges too in order to sell at better price and instead dropped the price to 309 when other exchanges stayed above 460...

That makes me think it was a mistake or an error or something but who really knows...

We've added another node and increased the number of connections of each, since they were at capacity.  For those affected, connection problems to the nodes should no longer be an issue.

wont compile on linux. check the thread... it is asking about laqua or something...

This was fixed a while ago.  Give it a go, or download a binary.

I tried again and i had the same problem. I will retry now. But still you havent uploaded a linux binary...

I'm starting to think this is a great time to buy some Monero. The long term prospects are very good as this is certainly the best of the Cryptonote coins. The question is, is today the day or does it have farther to fall?

Put some orders a bit below 0.003 and maybe they will be filled especially now with bitcoin/altcoin crashing...
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rpietila Altcoin Observer on: August 18, 2014, 02:15:48 PM
You've got to ask yourself why would a group that was sitting on a revolutionary breakthrough in crypto-currency shoot themselves in the foot with a scam.

One possible explanation is there was infighting.

But I find the more plausible explanation to be they were smart enough to realize one-time ring signatures don't scale, and thus it was going no where in the end.

I'm not surprised how many people have rationalized away this fact for Monero. Investment pumps just need cheerleading.

Bytecoin was a test coin and got out only to milk some BTC. It was doomed to fail with such premine but earned them a good pay.

Then they created bitmonero and with  on purpose slow miner so they can still have control over the currency. Only they didnt manage to control it because "open source" and because they seemed extremely retarded when it comes to their social skills. They may be good programmers or mathematicians but act like children when it comes to interacting to others.

Finally they dont seem to be that many as people might think. They tend not to have enough time to support their coins....

Thats what i believe.

According to Lawrence Krauss and quantum mechanics the universe can spontaneously be created from NOTHING (nothing at all) and it simply doesnt need a creator...

Now of course those are difficult things to grasp and many will argue that well, in order for quantum mechanics to work something/someone needs to make the laws of physics so there was something before nothing and who created that something and so on...

So its quite personal but only at that level. Bullshit stories from ancient books should not be given much respect especially when they try to regulate how humans should act and most times by doing it totally wrong...
