661  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Holiday Crisis on: December 10, 2018, 07:22:16 AM
When the prices dropped after Bitcoin cash war we said it was due to thousands of bitcoin being sold by someone and that caused the price to drop very quickly. When the price dropped afterwards we said black Friday and the insane discounts caused people to sell their coins and get those items for cheap. Now that bitcoin is dropping again we are saying that the holiday season is in and people are selling their bitcoins and altcoins to cover for the expenses.

I am sorry but I am not buying it anymore, last year on December and late November bitcoin went up historically and made a $20k run, that was a holiday season as well, holidays doesn't justify the drop in the price anymore. I fully believe that people are losing their interest and hopes for bitcoin and that is the biggest reason for falling.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: please recommend some Altcoins on: December 10, 2018, 06:50:09 AM
In my opinion, it's not a bad time to invest now. Some coins are really very cheap now and I believe the market will recover in the near future.
I want to invest some project such as, Tezos, Cardano, NEM, Dash, Maker, NPXS, Lisk, OmiseGO, Zilliqa, Komodo, Status, Waltonchain, Elastos.
It that a good idea to do it now? Any comments are welcome
Honestly the way market works you might have a chance getting any coin you want unless its some small scam coin.
If you get any of the big ones you will be basically getting all of them at the same time.

I know some of them goes higher but generally speaking when the market is going down all of them goes down and when the market is going up all of them goes up hence creating a no trouble state for long term investors. Get dash, get nem, get btc, get eth, get xmr, get xrp doesn't really matter which one you get, all of these will go high if the bull eventually comes and all of these will fall together hence making "which one should I get" really irrelevant since you will be getting the same results from all of them.

Yes, there are some small differences but none of them would have a difference big enough to really matter.
663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Put 100$ per month in Crypto currencies on: December 09, 2018, 12:45:15 PM
I want to put 100$ in crypto currencies every month. Which coins in general would you recommend for mid- to longterm investment? Which coin should I choose this month?
I already have some of these coins: Waves, VEN, SRAT, SNGLS, NEO, ICX, DBC.
This is exactly what I am aiming at (excluding campaign but only from trading and airdrops and few other affilate programs). This is a great idea and I have been trying to achieve this for a long time.

I of course fail because I have been making less and less money but in the end I am trying to save as much as possible, it could be 100 dollars or it could be 50 dollars it doesn't matter as long as you are capable of putting money into bitcoin and ethereum there is a huge chance that you will see profits rising in the future when bull run comes. The point is to average down your loses and profiting once instead of losing once.

If you get in all at once there is a huge chance you lose most of your money but if you get in 100 dollars (that number can change according to your money) that means all you have to do is wait for one time when bitcoin is high and sell them all.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Flash crash to $13 observed on Coinbase, is history repeating its self? on: December 09, 2018, 12:12:13 PM
I was thinking maybe it was a trading bot. I mean they are known to make these kinds of mistakes and buy or sell at the wrong prices specially when they are being developed for the first time. The old ones that people already know about and use probably don't make that type of mistakes but there are bots developed here and there all the time and maybe a new one was trying to get some beta tests done and created this trouble.

Obviously, we will never know why this happened and what caused it but a trading bot making this mistake makes more sense than a person making it, people are more careful and usually try to double check everything whereas trading bots do thing a lot carelessly because they do not have any emotions, just rules they follow and if badly developed they can cause these type of problems.
665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why crypto currency prices continues to dip on: December 09, 2018, 10:51:07 AM
My answer is simple, most crypto enthusiasts are low income earners. They all need money during this period to do shopping and buy stuffs
So, the preaching of hodl does not have impact on them. They need cash at this period. So dip must continue until February...

Those that have the strength and confidence to buy more at this point too are middle income earner, they don't have enough to pump the price.

Meanwhile those that have enough to pump the price are still watching on when to buy, they have the money and they are willing to buy at the lowest price...
So, crypto will continue to dip at least till after New Year celebration.
So, don't panic, the price will continue to dip...
The idea that bitcoin is for low income people is highly misleading. We are living one of the lowest volume times in the recent past time and even that is over a billion dollars in trading.

Just small investors getting together combined can't reach for those numbers and we have reached a lot higher to 10+ billion dollar numbers on daily volume as well. Of course there are a lot of people who are low income and deal with bitcoin, that is normal but there are middle class people who are into bitcoin as well and there are certainly whales to deal with bitcoins too.

Look at whalealerts at twitter and you can see there are a lot of money exchanging places every single day and that is caused by whales of this world. So, the price didn't dropped because poorer investors needed the money, that is insane, it would require millions of people selling at the same moment. It was caused by the bitcoin cash hash war at the time and it broke all the hope people had for it and without hope the price just went down and people said "enough of this shit" and left.
666  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is not going UP anytime soon and here is why. on: December 09, 2018, 09:40:32 AM
2019 suppose to be a big year, I mean not because of what happened in 2018 but because what could happen in 2020.

First of all, we saw that there is no more trusting to miners, since the miners were the ones that caused all of this chaos to begin with and when the difficulty drops a lot we see that the cost of bitcoin mining drops with it and when we said bitcoin will be stable at $6k we said it because that was a bit above what the cost for mining but now it dropped as further as $3.4k.

So, why trust the 2020 halving but that is also a valid point for increase since even that $3.4k will become $10k or even higher and there is 2 more years for that which means the difficulty will eventually go higher as well. There will be ETF's probably and there will be traditional investor coming in too. It would be really difficult for 2019 to go low when you combine all things that will happen.
667  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crucial time for bitcoin! on: December 09, 2018, 09:00:29 AM
So probably some of the investors who use to believe bitcoin are now decided that bitcoin is scam bynselling their bitcoin holdings. Many are dumping already starting to believe that bitcoin will going to end soon. Just basing on my experience I bought high when BTC worth 6K USD expecting that it was the baseline for its market price. However, it was wrong when it has drop for more  and now bitcoin has gone crucial times and it seems that scamming activity is mostly like to happen. It has not been adapted for widely use also globally so we could notnexpect something to happen for bitcoin like speculated bull run. This is just a work of a scammer that is so rich now! What do you think?
We are not moving at the pace we should be doing. Every time there is a bad news it goes even lower, right now it dropped once again to $3400 levels and it is really looking like the recovery will not be here anytime soon, not the recovery back to $4200 (which I assume could happen or not) but the recovery to over $6k once again.

It is shocking and very disappointing that we are really hoping for the price to go back to $6.5k levels once again whereas we were talking about how it should go above $8k back when we were there. The lower it gets the lower our goals become as well. Honestly, I am scared about bitcoin lately, it has been a very difficult challenge for all of us to just wait and hold and hope for bitcoin to go back to better prices.
668  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Is Guarantee For Increasing BTC Price? on: December 09, 2018, 08:36:24 AM
There is no guarantee for bitcoin but it is just common sense. I know for the year 2018 it looks like the price may never go back up but any person who has been around for couple of years will tell you that bitcoin could go wrong for a long time but eventually it always comes back to its own.

Every year it has provided us with better and better stuff to be hopeful about and this year even if the price was horrible for the whole year, the companies that started to use bitcoin/blockchain, the agreements, the G20 talks, the ETF with nasdaq and many more showed that bitcoin still had potential.

Basically what I am trying to say is that bitcoin has always put on top of itself and moved forward regardless of the price and that always reacted to the price as well. It will eventually go back up, maybe it will take another whole year, maybe 2019 will be bad too, maybe we will go back to 250 dollars who knows but eventually I know that bitcoin will break that 20 thousand dollar ATH price one day.
669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fiat or crypto betting in bear market? on: December 08, 2018, 04:18:45 AM
why you do not bet with cryptocurrencies in a direct way? To me it seems like you are just adding some additional steps that the only thing that they do it is to eat away your profits, the only reason of why you should stop betting with cryptocurrencies is if you are a long term holder and you are a long term loser when it comes to gambling.
Does betting on cryptocurrencies in a direct way require same level of skills and strategies for betting on dice or sports ? As far as I have concerned betting on cryptos is very much similar to trading. If that is true then how his actions will be "adding additional steps while collecting cryptos" ? I understand that you are missing out something most probably Wink. Making use of profits from gambling to buy cryptos must be a greater way to support this space. I always appreciate that.

you will lose money not only from holding your coins in this bear market but also you are losing money from the reduction in the number of coins that you have because of gambling.
Obviously when we touch our cold storage or any holding simply, which may lead to reduction or addition based on our performance. But, the value of our holding is purely based on market conditions, our gambling activity will have zero effects on that.
670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you play at a casino where payments are delayed for days? Why? on: December 08, 2018, 03:48:22 AM
Ever since I gambled at cryptocurrency casino's that offered instant withdraws, I haven't used any other online casino that imposes 'reviews' on payouts.
I'm wondering if other people still play at online casinos where they have to wait for days before their withdraw is processed.

Why would you even play at such a casino?
They usually even encourage you to cancel your withdraw, to keep you playing. Seems somewhat manipulative to me... Why would anyone support that?
Cancelling withdraw for "whatever" reason must be one of the "masked" way of scamming. We should not support them. Fortunately I did not get into any such gambling houses but really got such experiences with few Forex brokers. I stopped using them eventually after the very first bitter experience. Making money itself very hard one and then bypassing those scammy people is another big headaches. We must ignore them so that they will realize their mistakes when their business model gets collapsed.

But, I believe there will be no problem to continue with a house which is having concrete set of norms like "your withdrawal will be process after 24 hrs or 48 hrs or only between 17.00 to 22.00 hrs of GMT" like anything similar to that. Making stupid decision for each player must not be tolerated and those houses should be avoided.
671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble or think it's a waste of money and time? on: December 07, 2018, 03:46:28 PM
As long as your having a good time it's not a waste of money.  Look at all the hobbies people spend money onL video games, movies, cars, fashion, etc.  I just see gambling as entertainment so even if you lose money it's not a total loss.
A loss is always loss, you cannot argue like most other people are spending/wasting their money that is the reason I am also wasting Tongue. When you can find your entertainment for free of cost why not you should keep spending for that purposes. It is a slight indication of your addictions. Yes, I mean spending something which is available for free definitely due to the reason of addictions.

A waste of time? that is debatable, some people think life is ultimately pointless so nothing you do really matters.
Is not waste of time when it costs nothing to you. I mean if you are finding some entertainment then you are making use of gambling by getting some relaxation out of it. When the benefit is more than what you are giving then definitely you may go for it.
672  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxes from the crypto industry will go to combat pollution. on: December 07, 2018, 03:14:18 PM
Every day our planet becomes more and more polluted by human activity. And what if the advanced blockchein technology is focused on pollution control. All governments and international financial institutions that are willing to accept cryptocurrency will tax all cryptoexchanges, ICO projects, and other areas that use cryptography. These taxes are used with blockhein in projects to clean and protect the environment. Share ideas. How can this be done?
Not "will", you are talking about something you think should be done however the topic name has WILL in it which means there was some sort of news that talk about how a government made a decision on making pollution stop with the money funded from the taxes of crypto industry.

This is more like "taxes SHOULD be used" not WILL go to. I don't understand why people make these kind of false claims, yeah you get the click and we are all here trying to understand which country really wants to stop pollution and use crypto money as funding but here we are with no link in sight and no news that shows which country does that.

I feel like USA could be one of the first ones to do that, use crypto taxes for something crypto related so you give back to the community.
673  Economy / Economics / Re: The mining downward spiral FUD was predicted months ago on: December 07, 2018, 02:36:30 PM
It is only logical since there are more and more miners moving towards bitcoin cash as well.

It is not only about bitcoin price going down and some miners closing their shop, that is not the biggest problem bitcoin has because small miners were never interested in bitcoin anyway.

Nevertheless, the trouble is the biggest bitcoin miners are also people who are aiming at mining other stuff as well and during a time where mining really helped the bitmain dudes for bitcoin cash it was also the same time mining bitcoin cash was more profitable compared to bitcoin itself.

Hence, there was a lot of mining power moving towards bitcoin cash instead of bitcoin, hell the hash power even passed bitcoins hash power for a while. Basically all of this is caused by bitmain and that is not a big trouble considering they will come back eventually in near future once those forks got dumped and bitcoin will finds its way toward new peaks.
674  Economy / Economics / Re: All times are good to enter crypto - Tim Draper on: December 07, 2018, 01:07:24 PM
I specifically said this exact same thing any time bitcoin went down but nobody really cared and even many people don't care about Tim Draper neither. I mean this is not some really smart over the top reaction. It is quite understandable that bitcoin will be really valuable in the future. The more people who would like to be in bitcoin world the less share each person will have in it.

There is 21 million bitcoin even at the last one mined and considering there won't be anymore, there will be a shortage of bitcoin and that would cause the prices to go up. It is simple supply demand mentality and years do not really hurt bitcoin, no matter how much the price drops the fact that more and more people get into bitcoin stays. That is why there is no wrong price to get bitcoin at all.
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to invest or wait ? on: December 06, 2018, 06:31:57 AM
What should i do.

Invest in right now,
Should wait,
This is the question being asked in every board of this forum but the simple answer for your dilemma is, you may go for investing right now ONLY IF are ready to hold and wait. You must have enough patience to buy now. Yes, for both the case of up trend and down trend in coming weeks, you must be ready to keep on holding. If you are ready for this challenge then you may start buying right away for the cheaper coins.

Should i just put my money in some other industry like Real estate ?
My humble answer (and request) is a BIG NO. Yes, believe into cryptos and make huge returns in coming years. Real estate is also a good option but no sure it will match the returns how cryptos did in recent past years. It would be good to go for real estate only if you want to diversify your portfolio.

invest in the right project, if you want to trade buy popular coins whose prices are now down. It is better
All popular coins are not surviving for years. There needs to be few other criteria too we need to apply before choosing a coin for long term investments, just being popular will not enough to invest right. Investing needs lots of researches hence simplifying it with the criteria of being popular will not produce desired results.
676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you dreaming to launch your own coin? on: December 05, 2018, 05:26:52 PM
Are you dreaming to launch your own coin and ICO?

How would your project look like? Which problems would be solved?
How would you call it and which abbrevation? (like Bitcoin (BTC))

Would you do a big Bounty and Airdrop to make your project famous?

I'm curious about your plans of creating a new ICO project and your own coin.
I do not plan on doing it ever but I do dream about it time to time. I dream of starting a crypto startup that does every crypto business in the world and having one central coin between all of them. I dream of a company that basically does mining, casinos, games, exchanges and all that crypto startups we hear about that makes a lot of money, even a decent faucet as well for people who want to get free my coins as well.

However, that is impossible for now since all those companies require a lot of expertise let alone the amount of money needed for them. No coin I start will ever reach those prices and I will not have funds to hire the people needed for that many stuff. The best I can hope for would be the faucet one and that wouldn't worth anything all by itself.
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it possible that ETH will recover? on: December 05, 2018, 04:32:22 PM
This continuous quarrel about ETH makes me think deeply about it. There are, not sure but I think, over 6000 cryptocurrencies over there and the significant part of them ERC token. This means there is a strong base coming from ETH. However, these projects create a dumping point for the ETH since their ICOs and sales are making with ETH. Is this going to be a strong ground but lower price vicious circle situation? Will there be a chance for ETH to rise beyond its ATH?

I personally don't think any token or coin will replace ETH soon but... There is a strong but here.
There is no scenario ethereum stays this way for a long time. Ethereum is used in so many things in life right now and the blockchain is even more heavy because of it than the price suggests.

Right now, there are games based on ethereum blockchain (the most known one is oddly enough cryptokitties) and there are insurance companies who started to use blockchain of ethereum, there are companies that did a contract with Caribbean countries for identification things basically a government contract, there are many more stuff that the blockchain of ethereum is basically used for. Hence, ethereum can't really go away or become less important any time soon and no other coin can rival the utility of ethereum for any time soon. Hence the coin will be better one day, when will it happen I have no idea.
678  Economy / Economics / Re: If the stocks market will crash again like 2008, what will happen to bitcoin on: December 04, 2018, 06:26:19 PM
I believe that question has been answered with the insane drop in the bitcoin price in the past month when the market has been doing a bit bad as well. I mean I have talked about this before but honestly when the market is going down people are losing money and it is much more sane to sell your crypto assets first to get some cash before you start selling your stocks.

Stocks are there for the long run in peoples minds to this day whereas crypto is something new and more dangerous and more mysterious so people do not trust them as much as they trust stocks. Hence when the stocks collapse and something like 2008 happens the first thing people will do is sell their crypto assets in order to create some cash help and with that injection of cash probably get more stocks to drop the average down.
679  Economy / Economics / Re: Government Exchanges on: December 04, 2018, 05:51:53 PM
You think the current exchanges are any different? I mean right now we have private organizations that help you basically trade with other people without actually putting up any money and when the ETF comes out it will be about the same but by a governmental organization however if you take a look at the KYC rules almost everywhere you can see that governments are already in this business.

Not profiting from it and not giving you the trust any government can provide because its still private but every single private exchange out there is cooperating with governments to provide your personal information to them (sometimes even pictures) and use that to follow up on what you are doing with crypto world. Hence the governments are maybe not running the exchanges just yet but they are in it as much as the organizations itself.
680  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin even work in our current system? on: December 04, 2018, 04:37:27 PM
Maybe it won't ? Maybe the system needs to change to make people more reliable with the blockchain system ? Maybe the fact that there are more debts in the world than there is money is already stupid enough and this way people can take back the system instead of some banks running the show ?

I do not think bitcoin was created because it wanted to apply to the current system. I think it was created because it was suppose to kill the old system and create a new one. With bitcoin there could be so much things that could change and if people only stopped caring about what the price is and started to care about what could possibly happen if they just used bitcoin and stopped using fiat all together only than we can see the true potential of bitcoin.

We don't need the current system at all, it is obvious that its not working as intended, so maybe bitcoin will be the new system.
