Would be cool if they would add Nem to https://wirexapp.com/ (debit card to fiat and bitcoin)

Someone should ask them! Smiley
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2016 and WHY on: September 04, 2016, 09:03:31 PM
Monero is going up consistently for two weeks now so I think it would be a good investment. It already surpass the trading volume and price of Etherium and Etherium Classic which has been in the top for a long time and more trader are getting in the game so I think it would continue to go up for now. Factom and Maidsafe Coin is also going up and down in terms of trade volume so I think it would be a good investment also profiting in the fluctuations.
XMR is doing brilliantly, I think the price will not drop, shame I sold most of mine at 0.14 - Im' now mining some more of them to make up for the loss =)

How profitable is CPU mining?

Wish i mined more at the time.
For me its profitable with certain coins but it depends upon your hardware and electricity costs. I have a low power system and GPU, and we will eventually use the profits to get solar panels installed which should increase profits further. I dont calculate too hard as the trading makes the most profit.

I was referring to mining monero.

I could have done really well if i mined darkcoin at the start but i was too distracted with doge lol

@yelllowsin. The Monero development team will argue with you on that one and at the same time the vcash development team will argue with the Monero supporters for their choice. As an innocent bystander, how will I know who is telling the truth. My technical understanding of cryptography and programming is very limited. I do not understand most of it in fact. The people who are qualified to comment here are very quiet except for iamnotback. I wish he will comment with this issue. Or maybe he already has so it might be good to check his post history.

I see that this poll has many vcash that voted. Are there many silent vcash supporters here?

Might pay for me to start a new poll lol

...
Is there any good news coming, because market always react to good news for the price to rise that much

I belive they are on roead map there are ongoing high value work like catapult IMO that is most challenging one which should take Nem on next lvl of performance.
But that one can take some time like year IMO, probably in backgroud guys are working on deals and when it will be done then we will know.
Personally i like that ninja lunches usually coins that are overhyped before price final cause mega DUMP on release stuff date.

I know that waiting is not fun but so far i don't have anything to blame devs they are delivering high quality job and not over hype project.
In long run if nem blockcahain maintain top possition in blockchain technology we will go on next level of price as whole crypto.

And very good for crypto is many different technologies evolving all the time all people will find space for them.
I wont give you date sorry from my view it can take even year or two before that major technology comes out.

Couldnt agree more!

An idea regarding marketing
Meanwhile XEM-price allows to mint silver/goldcoins.
If we reactivate silvercoin (goldcoin) issue, coins should have a great design. Coins should come in a coin case (may be transparent) and include an amount of XEM (in paperwallet or similar).

These coins can be offered to the community but we can also try to sell it via Ebay-Amazon etc.
This means we have worldwide platforms to promote XEM with nearly no costs for ads/marketing and make XEM more popular.
Any comments?
I reckon it will be possible to issue real gold coins to all genesis accounts still holding their XEM from launch! Cheesy

Poloniex are also removing other coins they claim are shitcoins...
668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: September 02, 2016, 12:54:47 AM
All i know is all the XMR i mined is totally worthless to me because of the micro payments made to my by the mining pool!  Embarrassed

This pool pays out in 1xmr chunks so less fees

http://mine.moneroworld.com/#

or maybe your machine is to slow to bother Grin

edit: bet me by a second Smiley

Main problem for me was that i mined back in the early days with a CPU.

The pools back then were paying in small amounts.

I never knew this was an issue until later.

Dont know why the fees are so high to consolidate the wallet.

Is there any way to reduce this?

Seems a big flaw, as this defeats the use of micro payments, especially if the value increases.
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: September 02, 2016, 12:29:22 AM
why Apple removed Dah from the App store?!

They think it has a security flaw.

I think Apple is crap anyways.

Apple sucks and always will, dont know how they sell so much crap still.

Jobs was the only guy who made the company successful, now he's gone, i doubt Apple will be around for much longer.

NEM's Twitter account is https://twitter.com/NEMofficial.  There is another Twitter account pretending to be NEM https://twitter.com/NEMofficiaI.  Those two accounts look identical.  The difference is the real Twitter account uses small "L" as the last character and the fake one uses a capital "i".

The fake Twitter account has offered users for discounts on XEM in private messages.  Please do not respond or make any deals.

The real NEM team NEVER makes offers via Twitter, Facebook, or any other social media. In the past when we did so, it was publicly announced on the forum.

Thanks for the warning, I think most people should figure this out, but its probably not a bad idea to post a warning on the official site and facebook page etc too Smiley
673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DASH Collapsing Monero UP on: August 30, 2016, 09:53:48 PM
Monero is the clear winner for anon crypto.

And if you want an alternative to DASH with fair distribution and better features, check out DARK SILK.

LOL, epic monero pump, wish i mined it for longer.
Ironic thing is that all my mined monero is useless because of all the micro payments made to me in the pool Sad

BTW... The volume is now nearly $47 million!
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DASH Collapsing Monero UP on: August 26, 2016, 09:11:33 PM
Sounds like recent Monero pump is due to darknet markets adding it?

679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next $1 Billion Blockchain? on: August 25, 2016, 08:05:07 AM
When the news came out that the darknet will accept XMR, it suddenly became a good candidate in my opinion. Maybe we will see the 2nd coin to reach $100 in 2 years? I believe so. The darknet has one of the fastest growing markets that could be in the billions of $ in the coming years.

As far as anon coins go, i would say that XMR is the most private. Doesnt necessarily mean that the marketcap will grow much bigger though, but it will have a niche use for privacy.
