661  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the king on: December 27, 2021, 03:55:49 PM
Today I took my time to go round the market, there are more than 9000 cryptos in the market, but bitcoin is still the king. Now that many other cryptocurrencies are seriously pumping can they take over from bitcoin? If they take over from bitcoin can they last in that position like bitcoin?
What is your opinion.

Out of these 9000 cryptocurrencies you see on CMC, 96% are nothing but shitcoins. Only handful are worthy to be called as cryptocurrency like etherum, monero and so on. Bitcoin is king in terms of marketcap, daily value and most importantly value. There is only one coin aka eth that is somewhere close to bitcoin but taking over bitcoin is not possible by ethereum.
662  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Bull Market will Start on: December 27, 2021, 03:49:29 PM

As much as possible if we were able to buy it at price that seems low from its ATH then buy. Bitcoin is too volatile to predict when will the price go high and up to how much it can reach. What’s good about it is the price is able to go higher whenever there is hype or bull market occurs. The price increase depends on the bype crypto gets from personalities and economy so if we have some to save and plan for long term buying it and waiting for bull market  make us gain profit.

Last week bitcoin went down to 45000 usd and IMO it was a reasonable price to buy but irony was we start seeing posts like "are we going in bear market like that of 2018?" Bla Bla. Today after a week bitcoin is standing firmly at 51000 USD. The point is when bitcoin  goes away from its ATH, majority start running away from it.
663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Crypto Christmas; Using Bitcoin to help feed the homeless on: December 27, 2021, 03:08:55 PM
This project is very good, but I always worry that things like this is scams. I have seen some terrible "behind the scene" footage of illiterate people holding up posters for something that they do not benefit from and then scammers taking the proceeds of these scams. (Important Note : I am NOT saying this is one of those scams)

I hope this is not one of them and that the proceeds of this goes to the correct cause. (You are 100% correct... Christmas has been over commercialized)  Angry

There are many people who are willing to help needy people but due to so much scam around us people are fearful in donating money to projects. As far as Christmas is concerned, people spend too much on it along with new year. We can cut down expense on Christmas and donate same to needy people. That is true spirit of Christmas.
664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin upgraded my financial life on: December 27, 2021, 03:03:30 PM
Congratulations OP for having most out of the bitcoin. According to world Bank there are approx 2 billion people out of banking system due to different limitations. Bitcoin is a saviour for all such people as its ecosystem is open for everyone on this planet. Bitcoin is a financial heaven sprcially for underdeveloped region who can do jobs and get paid through Bitcoin. PayPal and other such services are not available in every country.
665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If I had bought bitcoin 10 years ago, I would have been a millionaire: Not true on: December 26, 2021, 10:39:22 AM

This just goes to shows that anyone can become a millionaire if they invest wisely in crypto and bitcoin. People normally waste their investments by selling it too early and are happy with few X profits when they could literally make much more than that. There are many coins which can still make us millionaire, but we need to invest wisely.

In crypto we dont know wts the top and wts the bottom, in fact we cant say this in any form of trading. I say about myself, I set a target price on which to sell the coin usually its about 20 - 40% gain. We cant hold a coin for indefinite period of time since we have invested money and need profit for our living. IMO there is no point in hodling coin forever.
666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There are no decentralized cryptocurrencies on: December 26, 2021, 10:29:39 AM

When we start ignoring all the services which are asking to clear KYC, we could solve this. But, in this busy world everyone (including myself), goes for KYC mandatory services (for exchanging, gambling, etc) for quick and ease access and killing the true purpose of bitcoins.

We must develop community based P2P exchanges to skip centralized exchanges and should support only gambling services which are promising about No-KYC-forever. I guess we cannot lead a life without dependent on any of centralized services but we could stay anonymous by  protecting our privacy/identity to ensure the decentralization.

Bitcoin itself is fully decentralized as it was created for peer to peer cash transfer. There are coin like XRP, USDT, BNB that are created by centralized institutes and they have the control to manipulate the blockchain. While nobody can control or manipulate the BTC blockchain. Exchanges that require KYC are not part of Bitcoin decentralized ecosystem.
667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need a bull market blow off top ? on: December 26, 2021, 10:23:35 AM
people that bought at say $50k-$65k want 2 things.

1. to get the price up (more bull) to $100k-$130k so they can profit and exit
2. to get the price down (a bear) to $25k-$32k so they can buy more at 50% discount than initial purchase

IMO its still possible to get profit from BTC without even if it didnt hit 100k. On 20 Dec 2021, Bitcoin went down to 45k and now after 6 days its sitting at 50k. So there is still margin of earning profit if you keep an eye on bitcoin price. You need to be brave to invest when everyone running away from buying.
668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 26, 2021, 10:16:20 AM
India won the toss and elected to bat in the first Test against South Africa. They have collected 72 runs without losing any wicket. My prediction about this match is that India will win this match without any major obstacles. I don't think the South African team is too strong now. . Their performance is of average quality. On the other hand, the Indian team is very experienced. The match between India and South Africa is likely to be more competitive than the one-sided match between Australia and England.

Though SA is not as strong as India but they will defiantly fight better then what we are seeing in Ashes. Indian team was not in form but its just the right series for there players to get back in there form. First session of this match belongs to India as they scored 83 without losing any wicket. SA so far tried 6 bowlers but no success.
669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 26, 2021, 10:09:16 AM
Pakistan's youths against Indian youth played very well and won. After a long time, Pakistan won against the young team of Indian. For some time Indian cricket is going bad time. Their national team performance and not very good. The players of this young group of India are very talented. They thought it would be defeated.

If you are referring to current U19 teams match b/w India and Pakistan then I would say both teams have performed very well and it was Pakistan who take away the match at very last ball. Virat Kohli was also once part of U19 team and now Captain of Indian team. Defiantly many of these players will come to there national sides in coming days.

671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 24, 2021, 11:46:05 AM

Revenues around the world of cricket are split entirely based on the viewership and popularity, in this case, also it's basically the proportion of salaries of players that the boards are earning, as we all know it's primarily the Australian and English players who dominate IPL it's obvious that they are going to get a much larger chunk as compared to others, Nepal board is lucky that they are having that one player because of which they are getting even this much amount because there are many boards which aren't really getting anything. But this type of revenue sharing with boards would ensure one thing that the boards would avoid keeping any international fixtures at the time of IPL to ensure that their players play in IPL.

Sandeep Lamichhane of Nepal remain unsold in ipl 2021 and that makes no associate country in ipl for the first time in 5 years. Cricket is not regulated like other sports football, basketball. Its big 3 that decides most of cricketing matters. It's ICC that closes its calender for ipl, so he must check how it's governed.

It's just a sham. In no other sport this can be seen. They call themselves as the UAE national team, and didn't had a single citizen of UAE representing them. The same with several other teams like Kuwait and Oman. Foreigners playing for T20 franchises is OK, but how can a national team be entirely comprised of foreigners? That takes away the whole idea of "national cricket team". The end result is that more deserving teams like Nepal and Malaysia (which are entirely comprised of natives) lose out to these mercenary teams.

I searched and found that UAE T20 team captain Ahmed Raza was born in Sharjah but still I am not sure whether he is citizen of UAE or an immigrant. If ICC cant do anything to stop this humiliation to cricket then team like Nepal and Malaysia will continue to suffer and we wont see new countries joining in.

Even right now no one can compete with Indian craze but sometime quality also matters in West Indies series mostly peoples were already predicting this series is going to be whitewashed so just because of this there were no interest and secondly Covid-19 restrictions are still having some big impact just because of these factors we have very fewer fans, but peoples still love cricket and enjoying. In Pakistan now mostly peoples love to enjoy at home with family which is also now very good way of enjoying and having some good time with family, hopefully in near future things could be better and more peoples will be able to watch games in stadiums.

In India film industry is so successful because people goes to cinema halls to see the movies. Same for cricket, people loves to go to cricket grounds to see the match. This attracts sponsors and revenue generation goes up. In India even matches of domestic level has more crowd then what Pakistan wee in International matches. Had this WI series in India, we will still see a jam pack stadium.
674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 24, 2021, 07:35:46 AM

LOL... after such pathetic performance from England, you still expect them to win? You sure that you are not being overly optimistic? And I would say the same for India vs South Africa as well. The tracks are going to be bouncy, and supportive of seam bowling. I heard that Nortje is injured, but there is no dearth of pace bowling talent in South Africa. Still, it would be interesting to see how the South African batsmen fare against the Indian seamers (especially Quinton de Kock, Temba Bavuma and Aiden Markram).

Meanwhile there is new entry in Australian squad for third test, Scott Michael Boland got a chance after Pat Cummins' close contact with a Covid-19 positive person. He hasnt played any test so far only ODI and T20I so far for this guy. England need to come back strong to win or either draw third test to keep series open, though chances are rear.
675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 23, 2021, 01:42:12 PM
Lets see how things will develop over the month and how many players will be pulling out citing injury  Cheesy. Pakistan wont be earning much of the ticket revenue if the match is played outside Pakistan soil and all the ticket revenue will go to the UAE Cricket board, but they still have the broadcasting revenue. I am not exactly sure how much they are earning selling the broadcasting rights but BCCI is always ahead in this aspect and that is how they are earning the majority of the revenue.

BCCI revenues are ahead of all boards because 1.3 billion people in India are crazy for this sport while same craze is not seen in Pakistan. Tim Paine was the first one to pull out of this tour and later pulled out from Aus squad. Let's see who other is not willing to tour Pakistan. I am sure PCB won't play this at neutral venue.

@eaLiTy that’s the key factor if big player’s of Australia pull out of this series then fans won’t turn up in stands, and won’t even watch the match on TV which will further hurt PCB finances. However if all big player’s participate, then PCB should get handsome returns from ticket sales and broadcasting revenues.

PCB need home series and lots of them in quick succession to make up for the losses incurred in last one decade. It doesn't matter big players of Australia are coming or not, as long as Australia and other countries (SENA) are coming to Pakistan PCB will be happy with that. PSL right now is also having players of few countries, if SENA start coming to Pakistan it will beneficial for PSL.

I am not surprised. Ajaz managed to pick 10 wickets, only because the match was being played in a dust-bowl, and the other two spinners (William Somerville and Rachin Ravindra) were out of form. I don't think that he'll be much effective in the green and bouncy tracks in New Zealand and IMO the selectors did the right thing by dropping him. Personally I still think that Mitchell Santner is a level higher than Ajaz Patel (Santner also didn't managed to find a spot. The spin bowlers are Rachin and Daryl).

That's how you pay tribute to someone who made a unique world record? There are only 3 players till date who have taken 10 wickets in an innings and Patel is one of them. Out of form Rachin is still included in the squad. This news is the headline of every sports website.
677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 23, 2021, 01:26:45 PM
Not a single local player and 99% of players in UAE squad are Indians. UAE cricket association looks like big scam and joke to me. They along with Asian cricket council making mockery of Asia cup. Only valid reason of this quackery i can think of is, illegal satta market, that's it.

Not only in UAE, the whole gulf cricket teams compositions are like that. See Oman cricket team in last T20 WC coming up with all players from South Asia. If gulf countries have no interest in cricket then why ICC allowing them to make fun of cricket with such team composition.
678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 23, 2021, 01:18:16 PM

India has a population of 1.3-1.4 billion, which is almost 8 times that of Pakistan. It automatically means that the market for cricket there is much larger than that in any other country. Even if the PCB had launched PSL at an earlier date (which I really doubt whether they could have done, given the lack of interest from SENA players to visit that country), I don't think that it could have overtaken IPL at any point. IPL is entirely another level, compared to the other leagues such as BBL, Hundred, BPL, PSL, CPL and SLPL.

I once saw an Indian spectator holding a board saying " indians have three Gods. Cricket, Cinema and Bhagvan". Indians are two much crazy for cricket and when when 1.3 billion people get crazy for something it's market automatically go up. You can see craze of cricket in Pakistan in recent WI series. There is hardly any spectator in the ground.
