6741  Other / Meta / Re: I think trust system default should be set at 3 on: October 22, 2014, 11:21:08 AM
This trust systems sucks and it should be deleted.
Some trolls and wannabe cops who came in early can easily destroy reputation of new users and nobody can do anything about that Angry

Almost all of them will help the user, if the -ve trust was made for no reason. If you find any -ve trust which were put for no reasons, you can make a thread about it. If it is a person in DefaultTrust list, he can be removed from it. Thus, that -ve trust will not be shown is Trust scores unless a user add him/her to his DefaultTrust list(very very rare). What you said is just a misunderstanding. Roll Eyes

The lowest amount I use is 1 uBTC. We can save our BTC, but because of miners, TXs are confirming, so it is better to send atleast 1 uBTC and if you can 0.1 mBTC. Smiley

P.S. When I looked the TX, all the tx were above 0.01BTC, so it has more chance to get confirmed even if you didn't send any fees. I think that is why, it confirmed in a short period. Roll Eyes

6743  Other / Meta / Re: Why no +1 button? Does the Simple Machines Forum software support this? on: October 22, 2014, 10:52:55 AM
It can be very helpful yea
I heard that would be a new update (like adding avatars back) on Feb 2015 . but not sure what are the changelogs
Yup, Vod told i think so that there will be updates in Feb 2015. Lets wait for it, nothing else we can do Smiley

In practical, it isn't really an update. It is being built from the scratch, everything will change. And we can hope this will come on February, atleast according to theymos. Smiley They maybe pretty busy to complete the work.

I've decided not to create an official announcement thread today. But I will answer some questions.

When will the software be finished?

About one year from now.

Bump. Please lock this thread OR @Mods : please add the link of the doc or link of this post in  John (John K.)'s thread.

Off topic : Is bumping this thread wrong? I just want to know so that I can avoid doing it in future before I get banned. Roll Eyes

6745  Other / Meta / Re: Unable to reply on: October 22, 2014, 10:44:56 AM
Everything gets saved in draft and it says to wait for 360 seconds. There after the wait when I resubmit it says post has already been submitted while it doesnt appear.

You went back to the reply box by clicking the 'back arrow' or by pressing backspace. If you want to post, then go to the thread and click reply and type what you want and then post. If it is a big post, it is better to go to the drafts(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=drafts - you can go here by clicking drafts under preview button) and copy it and click reply button on the thread you want to post, then paste it and post.

And, the waiting time will decrease when your rank increases. See these threads for details : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0 and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=582736.0 .

6746  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Where do I get free Bitcoin? The maintained list of verified free Bitcoin Sites. on: October 22, 2014, 10:29:41 AM
Start earning from faucet.bitcoinzebra.com and moonbit.co.in. Both of them became partner with Xapo and are paying 50% of each claim, i.e., if I claim 1000 satoshi, then I get 1500 directly to my Xapo wallet. This will end on December, 2014. Good Luck! Smiley

I just played some and I understood that, your BTC will change after you play another game, no matter whether you win or lose. So, if you trust him, play more or just wait for his payment. Smiley

6748  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Online or Desktop Wallet? on: October 22, 2014, 08:56:42 AM
Using both desktop wallet and online wallet, just want to spread out my basket..

Seems wise.  But the risk of online wallets are your online provider will be compromised, while the risks of desktop wallet is that your PC will be compromised.  I do like Armory's "Deterministic" wallet however, where if you print out and save the initial seed, you can generate all private keys without having to backup the wallet every so often.  However, storing your coins on your desktop wallet does make you vulnerable to hackers, as evidenced every few days on this site when you get a user who logs in to post, for their first message, "I lost all my bitcoins due to [keyboard logger], [hack], [browser redirect, especially in Tor], etc etc etc".  Seems to me, no offense to diehard believers, that Bitcoin is still in the beta stage maybe even alpha stage.

Bitcoin is neither in Beta stage or Alpha stage. You are mistaken. If you really want a secure one, then you can use hardware wallet like Trezor or BTChip. OR you can use Bither wallet, and use Bither cold wallet on a cheap android device and then send all the BTC into the address generated. Then, install Bither on your mobile(Android or iOS) and select Bither hot wallet. Then just create watch only mode wallet on hot wallet for your Bither cold wallet, then you can make unsigned tx and then scan the barcode with Bither cold wallet and it will sign that tx, then again scan with hot wallet to push tx. Now your private keys isn't compromised here. Now what do you think about BTC?

6749  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for signature Campaigns on: October 22, 2014, 07:31:35 AM
What is the most reliable signature campaign for newbies ?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=751056.0

try this. I dunno if they are still accepting. Have already received my payment for last week.

We are accepting 150+ people. Many slots are available now.

I've been looking for some signature campaigns, but so far the ones I've found are either full or I don't qualify for yet. Anyone have any recommendations for good sig campaigns for Jr. Members?

You need at least full member to find one, better still sr-member.

It isn't really true, you can also join campaigns which accept <FM but if you want to get nice amount and to enroll in most of the campaigns, you need atleast to be FM. Smiley

6750  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hi guys! :) on: October 22, 2014, 06:35:49 AM
The faucets suck, for making money. The electricity you spend on these sites, is equel to the amount, you would have earned.

Go to the service section, under the Market and sell some skill you have.

And later, when you reach a higher level, you might be able to join a signature campaign and make some real money. ^Laugh^

True and true.
And in fact, some signature campaigns accept newbies as well, just that the payment rate is a lot lower (but still better than faucets IMHO).
If you are interested in joining one, just check https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0 regularly. Smiley

And, check 'Games and Rounds' sub-forum, you can win BTC from there too : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=71.0

Please try to read stickies on the forum, i.e., posts which are fixed on the forum which you can see at the top. If you are asking loan, please provide collateral, otherwise, you will get negative trust. Don't post spam to increase your rank, try to read posts before posting. You can report to moderator, if you think a post is a spam or uses abusive languages by click 'Report to moderator' which you can see at the bottom-right of each posts. Best Of Luck! Smiley

BTW, Welcome to the forum! Grin

I really need something different, depressing every time I see it

You can remove your picture if you don't like it by PM'ing theymos or Badbear. Hopefully, when New Forum comes, we can change/add picture.

I mean, itīs repeated here constantly ad ennui how PBM must be a scam because they canīt make a profit at .0016. How does Hashnest turn a profit at a comparable price given the fees.

I don't agree to that statement. I conclude it is a scam as it is neither giving any proof nor we could find any atleast a block which they mined.

   ~~MZ~~

So why do you suppose none of their competitors have exposed this scam. I mean itīs a dog eat dog marketplace. Competition is very fierce. Theyīre just content to let a scam take business from them?

I don't think there was an incident like that. Even when PBMining came, no business went down. If you know any, please provide proof, something like website link, project name, it would suffice. Smiley

Even with fees, the price should be comparable.

So, how do they do it ?

If you really want to know, it is better to ask this question to them. It might be a business secret which they might not disclose that easily. Roll Eyes

Hashnest sells GHS at 0.001125 BTC.

If PBM canīt cover the costs at .0016, then how do you guys figure Hashnest does it?

Or are they a scam as well ?

I haven't used it. But from what I read from the website, they are charging fess and it is a peer-to-peer exchange. So it isn't like PBMining. I don't think it is a scam too. Smiley

6758  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain wallet trouble. Need help. on: October 22, 2014, 05:48:10 AM
Every time you refresh the 2fa code changes, so you have to enter in the latest one. Another on-line wallet you can use is Xapo.

He said, he didn't used 2FA and there is no column for 2FA. Please read correctly. And, I think you can not access to private key(s) of the address(es) in Xapo. So it isn't a good choice as you want to trust them/3rd party. Roll Eyes

The guy stole 1 btc from me too :/, if anyone got some advice on how to handle this please let me know then

I contacted blockchain and asked for my coins back (dont think it will happend tho)

Blockchain can't give your BTC back. It is just a wallet like others, only the person who knows the private key of the address can give it.

Online over desktop cause I dowanna download the whole blockchain, it takes like 100 hours for me..
agreed, take so long to syncronize/download blockchain, i choose simple transaction using online wallet :/

You can use HD wallets like Electrum, MultibitHD(Beta), DarkWallet(Alpha - But its good!) or you can use KryptoKit.
