7021  Other / Meta / Re: How to remove specific users from my trust list? on: October 01, 2014, 01:28:10 PM
Thanks both! I want level 1 deep for DefaultTrust and others I add 0 level deep. Any idea on how to do it? Smiley

  ~~MZ~~

Select depth to 0 and add everyone that is trusted by DefaultTrust directly by hand. Check weekly/monthly if DefaultTrust was changed if needed. I dont think its possible to do complex rules to automate this.

Thanks! It is good though a little bit of work is needed. Wink It would be good if a box to add usernames is there next to box to add users to our trust list, so the users in the box2, will be removed from our trusted list. It would be a bit more easier but I think it would be a little hard to implement. Any comment on this? Shall I suggest it to 'New Forum Software'? Roll Eyes Huh

Actually what meaning of NSFW content ?
Can explain to me  ??
Smiley

Not suitable/safe for work (NSFW) is Internet slang or shorthand. Used as a warning next to web links that go to a web page with images or video that wouldn't be appropriate for workplace viewing (pornography, naked or near-naked people, graphic photos, etc.)

7023  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Vs. Paypal on: October 01, 2014, 01:21:16 PM
I'd say Bitcoins, but Paypal has more "audience".
There are much more people that using Paypal for payment instead of Bitcoins, it's like Paypal is more "user friendly"
  Smiley

It's not 'PayPal is more user-friendly', it is that people still haven't heard about BTC. BTC is being accepted. Once it is accepted widely, most of the users will start using BTC more  than paypal like now as it offers least fees, more security and IS more user friendly than PayPal! Roll Eyes

7024  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: October 01, 2014, 12:44:59 PM
Excellent. I was looking for this post/details. Now I know the rankings in BCT.

We need a way to tag scammers, as in a title called scammer.

Do -ve trust reset after sometime?

Scammer tag was removed. I don't know whether it will be implemented in new forum. -ve trust won't reset. The user who put -ve trust should remove it, to decrease -ve trust or to make it neutral. Roll Eyes Smiley

I think a new problem has been arisen. So have you done that? Did you forgot about the license agreement? Huh OR is voisine wrong? Huh

What do you mean by "Bither is a server trusting wallet"? Huh Please check carefully and please don't spread false news! Roll Eyes Smiley

You are correct. My apologies. I mistook the code that connects to the bither server api for the code that handles transaction and balance data. The bitheri library appears to have copied large portions from the breadwallet source, and is in violation of the MIT copyright license I published it under. Sad I've submitted a github issue requesting they retain my copyright notice in compliance with the terms of the MIT license.

Thanks, this will be handy. Out of curiosity: how can I calculate the version of a coin? As far as I've read, it has to do with the public address... but can't seem to find a way to see the version of a specific crypto.

I think, if you go to coin's repo, you may get it(most of the coin uses github). Try to search there and you may want to search in discussion too. If there is any other possible ways, it would be very helpful. Smiley

Is there any way to remove specific users from my trust list? If I decrease a level, then all the users in that level goes from my trust list. So is there any way? Huh

Thanks! I think the wallet got some attention from users. I think you have saved 1mBTC . Wink So how many days will apple's review take? I think for Bitcoin, it will take a bit more. Have you published for reviewing or are you going to publish? Smiley Sorry didn't look carefully! Smiley

7032  Other / Meta / Re: MagicalTux & DefaultTrust [ Why ?] on: September 30, 2014, 06:17:29 AM
It doesn't really matter if there is a scammer in the DefaultTrust list. It only matters if they leave feedback that someone disputes.

Being in the DefaultTrust list only means you leave accurate feedback, not that you are trustworthy.

Absolutely wrong! Being in DefaultTrust list means you are trustworthy. Only trustworthy users will be in DefaultTrust list. Roll Eyes

Is there any possible way to un-ban a profile?

If the user prove that he didn't deserve ban, theymos or Badbear will unban the user.

  ~~MZ~~

Where should I contact now?

Send a PM to theymos(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=35) or BadBear(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=41911) if he didn't reply! Smiley Remember, if you can't prove you are inncocent he will not reply to your PM and he may avoid your future PMs too. Roll Eyes

P.S. Try to read this before sending a PM : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

7037  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which Bitcoin wallet is the most secure? on: September 29, 2014, 02:48:26 PM

 =snip=

Regarding address import, regular users don't understand Bitcoin addresses anymore than they understand ip addresses. It would be a bad experience if they imported a key without sweeping, then the phone was lost and they restored on a new phone, and some of their money was gone because the imported key didn't get swept into a wallet key that was deterministically tied to their backup phrase. With breadwallet, users don't have to manage their addresses. The wallet does that.

Okay! Smiley So does this mean that the private key will be imported at the same time the BTC will be swept or only BTC will be swept? Huh Can you implement an option to stop 'Address Rotating'? It would be good too! Smiley

Same here but it's working when checking the "Keep me logged in" checkbox.

Thanks for telling! So why does it automatically log out? Can we change it in setting so that we don't want to use the  "Keep me logged in" feature? If it can't be changed, it will be good if it is displayed in the login page. Roll Eyes

7039  Other / Meta / Re: Thank you tomatocage on: September 29, 2014, 12:58:46 PM
Everyone can see it, its not very well displayed but look at the timestamps of messages, if they have a dotted line under them it means the post was edited, hovering over the timestamp will also reveal when it was last edited and by who.

Holy crap, I did not notice this feature, and I bet most people do not as well. This feature was never mentioned anywhere. I do remember the old forum a couple years back shows the edited post time stamp right under the post, but was removed a while ago.

I've never noticed this either, and I've seen several posts telling people to check a mirror of the forum when they want to know if a post was edited; it's certainly a well-hidden feature, but quite useful. Thanks for pointing it out!

EDIT: I might as well make this post an example, it could come in handy later.

Me too. Thanks MiningBuddy! Smiley But why wasn't there any post on this feature? Huh

Edit: Are there any other hidden features which weren't announced? Roll Eyes

Good going! Are you using any other servers for transaction? Like Blockchain.info API?

Bither has a nice looking ui, and their android version looks like it's using bitcoinj, so it's a real bitcoin client using SPV, however I checked the code and the iOS version is a "server trusting wallet". It trusts a server for your balance and transactions so if the server gets hacked or goes down, you loose access to you money.

Good going! When will the next update for iOS coming? Roll Eyes
