7523  Economy / Digital goods / Re: How much will Bitcoins.com sell for??? on: August 06, 2014, 05:50:27 PM
I'm going with $400K as that's what it is worth. Not $2.3 Million lmfao

another domain, btc.com was sold for 1.1million, you're looking pretty stupid now arent you.

IMHO, "btc.com" has a better value than "bitcoins.com".
And so I guess (just a wild guess) the bitcoins.com can be sold for slightly less than a million. Smiley
It was already sold, no? Who knows the ammount?

I don't think it is. Was the auction approved? See http://www.coindesk.com/auction-bitcoins-com-domain-halted-us-court

7524  Other / Archival / Re: Promotion STELLAR NEW COIN [0.016 BTC giveaways] on: August 06, 2014, 05:35:20 PM
I don't believe in this crap coin send all your coins to dangered and he will burn them for you

I have sent you 1001 stellar. Hope they are not lost...

At first transaction, you will get the stellars you sent back. Don't think he is sending the stellars. Roll Eyes Just search in internet : stellar giveaway. You will get many posts, in that you can find two posts, in which you will get 500 stellars back ( in addition to 1000 stellars you recieve automatically ) or $1+ back as BTC or paypal ( your choice, BTC recommended ). Try to do it than this. This is not profitable. You are just earning some stellars and he is getting some free. I am not against it as it can be considered as a tip for the knowledge.

I understand what you meant but I don't think they have the power to track down every fakes. Fakes can be created easily by law-breakers. I am not telling they have no ability but every fakes can't be banned.
Kindly,
      MZ

Well of course they aren't going to track down every fake that they are unsure of...That would take forever, but once someone claims that they were scammed by a user, they definitely look into the issue.

Yeah! I agree. Even though most of them know/think pbmining is ponzi knowbody is willing to report against it as pbmining is paying correctly. If there is any person who's business went down because of them, he might report. Roll Eyes

In 6 years never had a bad experience. From my point of view they are totaly trustable.

We aren't telling that paypal isn't trustable. We told that, person who send you paypal money can be taken back by them easily. So you will loose both BTC/cryptos and money. Anyway if you want to sell, try to withdraw money into bank account as fast as possible, best to withdraw instantly after you get. But there is a likely chance to lose the same amount of money you got from the person, if he reports. Sad

you think they used their real name on ebay?

You really don't think eBay doesn't have the power to track you down if you used a fake name...?  LOL

7533  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New to Bitcoin need rig for college (don't pay electricity fee) on: August 06, 2014, 04:44:11 PM
Thanks for the reply's everyone!

Plans actually changed, i'm now living in a apartment (on campus) with a shared living room/bathroom and 3 separate bedrooms inside the apartment. (I'm just wondering if considering it's not actually a "dorm", if the ampage in the living space will be larger?. Hmm

I'm capping my limit on a ASIC to $2.5K. I'm just curious on how I could be careful with my power output. I've been looking on Ebay and I came across some 1.5TH/S KNC Jupiters///Avalons///S1 Antminer farms for sale. Just curious on people thoughts about buying on ebay, let along these rigs.

Now i'll keep more up to date considering it's my last week to decide on what to do@!

All input appreciated!

If you buy BTC now with the $2.5K you'll get 4.32BTC.  If you purchased a fleet of S3s and psus you might have about 4.6-5BTC after all the costs.  Buying the above noted eBay equipment will give you more hash but will cost you terribly with electricity costs and the resulting heat from the inefficient old beasts.

If you have the tolerance to mine go with S3s, otherwise spend 1-2 days circling an exchange like a hawk and buy BTC on a dip and then enjoy school and not have to worry about heat and noise.

Is this site legit? I will be ordering this week if it is!

Yes, it is! You can buy from it. Buy carefully as there is cloud mining option. Smiley

Dear Friend,
I have recently sent you 100 Stellars and received back 100 Stellars only.

I think the rewards have changed there... But still would like to say that if this reward thing is daily and if you haven't sent them yet, can you send me 1000 Stellars and receive back 1000?

If I'm wrong somewhere, please correct me, I'm saying this because I haven't yet completely understood this concept... Smiley

Also, if you decide to send some, just send them to username gkv9

Stellar reduced their giveaway because of the rapid boost in signups especially from fake fb accounts and you can only get stellar you send on the first transaction.

7536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: August 04, 2014, 03:57:01 PM
Armory.

I would store it in armory. It support cold too. Splitting them by multiple of 5 into addresses. So that nobody knows how much addresses I have, thus can't know my holdings. Making many wallets and making many addresses are same. Making one or two paper wallet would be great too.

7537  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - innovative professional cryptocurrency cloud mining service on: August 04, 2014, 03:43:35 PM
splitting the site in 2 was the worst idea ever IMO, earnings got a LOT lower ... its a win only for NH not for sellers ...

Yes. If it is combined the hashes would be greater and can buy more hashes. Anybody know why it was splitted? Can you make a short notice and can you combine it? At least make it as a merged pool, so that both the hashes on westhash can be on nicehash too?

Don't think this was posted before. A good tool to check for your password strength (includes english dictionary and patterns):

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/209/zxcvbn/test/index.html

Thanks for the link. It really is useful.
Password : You can make harder pass with some sentences too. Eg:- My Name Is Zakir . Take first letters of all the word, i.e., MNIZ . Try to use some signs instead of letters, i.e., /\/\|\||$z . Try not to use any phrases or words. Use random letters - both uppercase and lowercase, signs and numbers . You can use Bitgo for checking password strength too by clicking sign up wand entering the password but it is better to use the link given by Newar as it gives more details. Don't ever store your password in any digital things, store it in any book and try not to give any headings or something like that, which can will lead a person to think it is a pass. Try to write it as you write other contents in it, in a usual way.

7540  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HOWTO: create a 100% secure wallet on: August 04, 2014, 02:48:42 PM
There're many cook books how to prepare secure wallets, usually with 20+ points about how to install bootable USB with Linux and Armory on USB token.

Or you can

Armory is very secure than other wallets but for newbies I don't think it would be good option as they need to download whole Blockchain data unless they have good internet connection. Electrum would be better if you don't have a good connection, IMO.
