681  Economy / Economics / Re: Very strange most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few on: June 25, 2020, 03:00:43 PM
I don't think it is people that don't like buying things with altcoin but rather the type of coin allowed on the shopping site. Most site that allow payment with crypto prefer bitcoin than other crypto. Generally, I prefer using altcoin to make transaction because of low fee compare to bitcoin. However, some site such as bitrefill allow users to be able to pay with multiple crypto currencies which give an edge of paying with altcoin
682  Economy / Economics / Re: What if this pandemic persists till the end of the year? on: June 25, 2020, 01:35:16 PM
Aside the trial conducted by the oxford university, there has been numerous research also by many nations and according to research and news online, it is very likely we have the first proven vaccine ready by the end of September which is still far, however many countries are already trying to mitigate the effect of the pandemic on the economy which has resulted into partial opening of some business through the countries. The same with schools. A lot of college have started planning to resume taking prior measure to reduce the spread of the virus
683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't this the best time for Bitcoin? on: June 25, 2020, 12:14:48 PM
Unless your are living where local store accept payment directly in bitcoin, there are limited things you can buy with crypto and this is exactly reason why we are all clamouring for more massive adoption. Take for instance, during the pandemic items such as sanitary material facemask are always required for use and are selling fast. Such materials when you ordered for it online through international shopping site might not get to you easily. However, there are other digital currencies are more widely accepted which can serve same purpose such as PayPal
684  Economy / Economics / Re: Akon City: $6 Billion Cryptocurrency City Set to Begin Construction on: June 25, 2020, 10:07:45 AM
I'm categorically have an interest in that akon coin and if this really drive the market, I'm very sure there will be other initiative. I know of dominion project that created DOM token. They are doing something similar to this, they are based in Netherland. However constant burning of the token is what I believe will also help strengthen the price of the akon coin. I hope soon akon will also invest in other African countries especially Nigeria, the most populous black people nation in the world
685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Cryptocore Cybercrime exposed on: June 24, 2020, 09:55:58 PM
According to a Cybersecurity company named "ClearSky" A cybercriminal group "Cryptocore" has allegedly stolen around $200 million from cryptocurrency exchanges over the past two years. Targetting around 10 to 20 victims around the United States, the Middle East, and Asia. The hackers used spear-phishing threats to get access to the wallets of crypto exchanges. In certain instances, they might have the direct email addresses of selected individuals.

The article reveals that "typically" spear-phishing attacks are performed by imitating employees, mostly those of us with a high-ranking position within the organization or from another organization such as the advisory board.

686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why did dogecoin survive? on: June 24, 2020, 08:35:48 PM
The price might be getting low but it is still preferable more than many coin that on exchange today. This is because being one of the oldest coin, It has gain much popularity than many of the available coin today. It has become part of default coin that is supported on any platform which thereby give it more attention. It might get lower trading volume but I am very optimistic it will never get to a point whereby we shall see dogecoin having zero trading volume.
687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Overcoming Systematic Racism with Bitcoin on: June 24, 2020, 06:02:22 PM
I still don't understand which role you want bitcoin to play about racism. Bitcoin is universal currency. It is used by everyone irrespective of the race. The only thing you can do is to support donations that fund project that fight against racism such is the black live matters you have mentioned. I saw people making huge donation through the popular website gofundme. Similar platform that accept donation in crypto can also be used to support the movement
688  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Could you recommend some advertising platform? on: June 23, 2020, 05:05:35 PM
Which part of the Facebook marketing do you explore ? I've been working on ads for almost a decades now and I can categorically tell you Facebook ads is the cheapest with great conversion but the most important thing is to know how to optimize your ads for better result. I will advise you to stick with Facebook ads and always promote your shared posts for at least 7 days duration. You also need to specify your nichie so as to further receive more review
689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possibleTrump Will Prohibit Bitcoin? on: June 23, 2020, 11:40:40 AM
There are many things that is bordering trump for now. Even though I'm not disputing the fact that he doesn't like bitcoin but banning and ceasing bitcoin is out of it and I do not think he can do that for now. I understand American have huge influence in banning crypto especially those that have exchange on centralized web based platform hosted on .com but when things are getting intense I will advice american users of bitcoin to transfer their asset to decentralized wallet
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miners are holding, small miners are out, supply declines, what next? on: June 23, 2020, 06:49:25 AM
This has been predicted even before the halving and the recent post halving have confirmed that. Many miners will not be able to afford the mining cost which will drive them into seeking for other means they can use to lower the cost. So for the main time the number of miners might be reduce until they figured out some other sustainable way to optimized the profit from mining. The effect of this on bitcoin price include lower trading volume and less volatility. Big miners will continue to dominate for a while. This is also a room for mining improvement and don't be surprise we may see another improved mining device with low energy requirements
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The list of bounty projects that end in a scam on: June 22, 2020, 02:22:11 PM
I participated in bluenote and also invest in kick city project. The latter is the one of the greatest scam I have ever being a victim of. The token sales was conducted when there are huge investors taking part in token sales but kick city team refuse to get the token listed stating the fact that they need to keep on working and always given excuses. Bluenote was listed on Dobi but the project team dumped the token themselves. I didn't see subaj on the list. It is also a scam
692  Economy / Economics / Re: Why I am quitting ICO's on: June 22, 2020, 01:41:11 PM
I checked most of the reason you stated for stopping investing in ICO is still valid till date and things are getting even worse. Despite the fact that many ICO scam  was the reason why many investors were quitting investing into ICO, the advent of alternative which is the IEO has shown no improvement. Generally most projects find it difficult to even reach soft cap. If anyone Want to invest in any project now, I will advice to do so after the project token is listed and you see the seriousness in the development
693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taxes on Bitcoins: Unreasonable or essential? on: June 22, 2020, 08:24:44 AM
I am not again paying tax for holding bitcoin but such policy should be adequately be reviewed. Just because people earn a lot doesn't mean they should put on a huge percentage cut of the tax to be paved. 30% is too much. If any country want this. They should work out the modality and make sure equal tax is paid for crypto and fiat earners. And above all they should also help hodlers by making policy that make use of crypto seamless and more generally acceptable
694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just me or has the entry bar become a lot higher? on: June 22, 2020, 04:39:53 AM
You know then, identity theft and AML is not that prolific but now everyone will agree with me that the rate at which scammers are getting involved in crypto is really scary. Centralized exchange are scared of taking risk which might see them being involved in a law suit. Take for instant, bitfinex is being accused of coin manipulation. AML/KYC is now becoming a must in many platforms. You hardly see any platform that is centralized that won't put a limit on amount of money that can be withdrawn unless you submit your identity for verification. That is when you can withdraw higher money. DEX could have actually be the most efficient and comfortable place to have limitless transaction but issue of low liquidity when trading is the major drawback
695  Economy / Economics / Re: Very strange most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few on: June 21, 2020, 09:14:31 PM
The reason is very simple. Bitcoin is widely accepted for making payment compare to any other coin. There are few other services that accept ETH too. Maybe in the nearest future maybe other crypto will be more accepted but now Bitcoin is the king of crypto
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance deserves the first Position on CMC on: June 21, 2020, 04:04:30 PM
The truth is that they do not just wake up one day and decide to implemented all this on the platform. As soon as they acquired the CMC, they introduce a survey which enable anyone that visit the site to make suggestion as regard to what they want cmc to improve about the platform. All the feedback was what they follow to have the new CMC. A lot of people on twitter suggested that they should work on the exchanges by making sure that those that faked volume should not be the one ranking higher. This is what result on the new exchange listing that makes binance to be ranked number one on the platform
697  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the Best Bitcoin wallet? on: June 21, 2020, 02:53:58 PM

698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another bitcoin scams hit Canada on: June 21, 2020, 08:31:36 AM
Bitcoin scam or ponzi scam ? I have seen numerous scams that directly involved in participation in a form of investment that pay in bitcoin being term as bitcoin scam but I do not think this is right. It is a ponzi scheme that collect money in bitcoin. I ready the article and I was perturbed by how people lose their money. This is the reason why it is always advisable to seek for answers before given up your money for an investment. I could you give all your life savings up for an investment that you have little knowledge about. It is very dangerous.
699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH STOLEN BY......WELL JUST LOOK. YOU WILL BE SHOCKED! on: June 21, 2020, 06:31:24 AM
It is better you rather look at how your account was hacked rather than the end point of your money. I know it is very hard for you now going through a lot of stress that figure out all those transaction but I do not believe a mining pool hacked your wallet. Coinbase is a centralized exchange which means it is possible if your login detail is known by third party, you balance can be withdrawn. Do you activate 2fA ? And where do you keep your login details. You have to find out this in order to safe you from other attacks especially when you still have coin in any of you wallet in your computer
700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HAS THE 2020 BITCOIN HALVING LIVED UP TO ITS EXPECTATION? on: June 20, 2020, 09:18:20 PM
I followed Andreas on twitter and he made a post explaining why people should not look forward to seen bitcoin price skyrocketed during the halving periods. Although price hike has been one of the outcome of previous halving but I was made to understand the basis for the halving is not about the price but about the framework surrounding the mining reward reduction. It is obvious the little pump we saw during the process was due to some of the news generated by the event which lead to higher demand for the crypto. I do not want to believe it is because of the covid19 that the price hike was not seen because a lot of people that received money from government to ease the disaster caused by the virus used it for buying bitcoin which led to the rise of the Coin
