Got an email today from OpenRigs letting me know that my order is now in the fabrication process.

Just wanted to say that I love the customer service!

683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 05, 2013, 09:22:02 PM
Guys, what is the average BTC/1MH daily profit on Middlecoin, nowadays? Hashcows has ~0.17BTC/MH ... is Middlecoin better?

Thanks!

Do you mean 0.017BTC/MH?

I can hardly believe that they are getting .17/MH...

But maybe I will try them out since I haven't been able to get Middlecoin working lately... only stupid LTC mining lol

Some misunderstandings here - when the mobile SHA-256 chips arrive, a single phone will do well in excess of 1GH/s. They will be effectively little 14nm (or less) ASICs in their own right.

iOS cannot be used. (At least, not yet.) The mobile app is based on the Android version of BOINC - which is already coded and in use. With almost 2m Android devices being activated daily, the potential hashing power is way beyond terascale.

This is not "just a mobile mining app", far from it. It's an existing - and successful - global grid computing platform which is about to expand to mobile devices - and which will be harnessing mobile SHA-256 chips as soon as they arrive, creating a significant mining operation.

Cheers,

Definitely seems interesting and I hope to read about your future success!

My pockets are nowhere close to being deep enough to invest though Cheesy
686  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer - User: r3wt (Attempted extortion, sockpuppet) on: December 05, 2013, 08:36:00 PM
i got a family. I'm going the legit way, according to Vern running an exchange is extremely profitable. I would rather have a stable income than pulll off a multi million scam and look over my shoulder forever.

Of course it is extremely profitable.  Everytime anyone makes a transaction you make money.  No clue how many transactions Cryptsy has each day, but it's gotta be making Vern quite a bit of money.

almost 25,000 USD a day in fee's, of course, running the site, paying lawyers, and staff takes a sizeable bite out, but he's definitely not starving. i'll be happy if i can get to a point where i can have my own apartment, pay my bills, eat good food, and provide for my family better than what i am presently.

Well good luck to you!  If you know how to get it accomplished then it seems like a very good start-up that is legit.

If you ever need help with the business side of things, let me know.  I have an accounting degree and tons of experience with the books.
687  Economy / Lending / Re: Investment Opportunity *ENDING SOON* [maybe a not-so-stupid idea] on: December 05, 2013, 07:56:17 PM
All cubes are sold out now.

Guess no one wanted to get some free money Cheesy

Time is running out.

Posted a few minutes ago from the Group Buy

"As of now, 7 cubes are available.  this group will close shortly."
689  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Cube Setup on: December 05, 2013, 07:10:53 PM
I've had luck with running two cubes on one Corsair TX850 and three Cubes on two CX750's.  Of course a single Cube will run on either of these PSUs.

This should be more than enough to run one, yes?  Just trying to make sure I have everything ready to go so I can start mining as soon as the Cube arrives...

you speak the truth, but that doesn't make me  saint. i really was dead set on ripping people off when i arrived here, mostly out of frustration that i couldn't mine anything with my cpu

At least you are honest.  That makes you better than a lot of people who have started down a similar path.

Plus, you can code, so you are a valuable asset... should also help make you rip people off easier in the future if you want to go down the TradeFortress road.

Not saying you could pull off a multi-million dollar scam, but you should set your sights higher than a handful of premined shit coins Cheesy
692  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer - User: r3wt (Attempted extortion, sockpuppet) on: December 05, 2013, 05:54:36 PM
I don't think your rep on here is very tarnished.  You really only "scammed" people who were trying to make shit coins to rip other people off... and you paid them all back.

You are good in my book, I just like bustin' your balls.

Good deal, man.

What's the next scheme?  Cheesy
694  Economy / Securities / Re: Next generation 14nm mining grid on: December 05, 2013, 05:15:32 PM
Besides, just how many phones do you think are needed to even generate 1 GH/s?

I would say an iPhone 5 probably can do between 10-20MH/s, so if the got a million of those hooked up and mining, it would be about about 10-20 TH/s

That's a tall order though...

Getting tired of morons that think China banned anything today.

No kidding.  Seems to be all anyone is posting about...

What other Bitcoin "news" should supercede it?  I am interested to hear.

Ron Paul says that Bitcoin could "destroy the dollar"

697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons a business should accept bitcoin on: December 05, 2013, 04:49:49 PM
Huh? Accepting BTC is 100% safe, unlike every other payment method.
How is it 100% safe?

Because once it is received to an encrypted wallet, *no one* can take it without the password. You cannot get any safer than that. If you cannot keep a password secure, then you have no business being in the money management position at a business. You can't fault bitcoin for *your* failures.

This... your employees should never have access to your private key.  They should just have a QR code that sends to an address they can't access, but can confirm transactions through the block chain.

Or you could use Bitpay...

Is that normal for this pool, with a speed of 400 KH/s

diff is 512 so if this was baseball your card is getting elephants thrown at it.  Every couple minutes you actually manage to hit one back and those accepted shares count for more

*anxiously awaits the difficulty debate to spark up again*

How loud are these?  I just ordered one, but kinda forgot that I am going to have to keep it inside since I don't have an easy way to run an ethernet cable outside... although Canary did point me in the direction of something that might work around that, I don't know if it's something I want to try just yet.

...not loud at all.  It uses a 12cm fan.

Good deal.  My wife shouldn't be upset then Cheesy
