681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invitation to teach Bitcoin in a school on: September 21, 2022, 01:42:03 AM
That's a good initiative taken by the school to make the kids aware of bitcoin and crypto currencies. Hope you didn't get too much into complicated aspects of crypto currencies.

By the way, volatility isn't a feature of bitcoin. Probably a feature of "any" market, but not specific to bitcoin. Also, if you lose your "password" you don't lose your coins as long as you have access to your private keys or the phrase.
682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Real most rewarding Crypto Casino? on: September 10, 2022, 04:24:51 PM
You have to do all the calculation by yourself to find of the most "rewarding" crypto casinos. But don't always go after those casinos. Choose a casino that has a good reputation, is easy to play at and has an excellent support. Look for casinos that rewards long term users that regularly places bets such as loyalty program. Don't go hunting for "free rewards". Most of the time you won't be able to withdraw those rewards since they have absolutely insane requirements. Even if you do manage to meet those requirements, if you win big, the casino will find every excuse to deny your withdrawal request if its a bad casino.
683  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Binance giving more Apr in fixable staking (saving) than locked staking? on: September 10, 2022, 04:15:16 PM
Flexible staking is one that I can withdraw whenever I want, and locked staking is one that is locked for a certain period of time to earn interest.(USDT,BUSD)
Now my question is, is there any risk in flexible staking?
Flexible staking is also a benefit for us, then why are they giving more APR on it?
Most of the time it is "promotional". You will see that the flexible staking APR will go down in few weeks. They increase the rate so more people stake their coins which they can use it for lending it to other traders.   Once they have enough coins staked, they will usually lower down the rate. I mean they have some internal quotas of their own. They change the rate based on this quota. So make sure you keep an eye on the APR. When it drops, it never notifies you (and you agree to those terms when you start staking).
684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Terra Classic recovered? on: September 10, 2022, 03:24:59 PM
This is a coin that can never "recover". Literally has no more use case. Has no utility. As far as I know, all project developers moved on to luna 2.0 or just abandoned their projects. The recent "pump" is because of the introduction of staking and the burning mechanism proposal. People are hoping that the burning mechanism will reduce the supply and bring back to the price to where it was before. Hence people are joining the hype train and FOMOing. Look at the market, it is already crashing. Down like 15%+.
685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spreading Bitcoin and its basic concept on: September 10, 2022, 06:36:51 AM
That's a nice way to let people know and promote bitcoin. And you are right, awareness is the first step for making bitcoin a legal tender or at least make business accept crypto currencies in your country. Just make sure to keep everything simple. There is no need to go deep into bitcoin when teaching them. If you do so, they will end up thinking it is something very complicated for them and will lose their interest. Teach them the basic, like how to create a wallet, how to keep them safe, how to make backups of the wallet, how to send/receive coins and how to buy them from exchanges or p2p method. These are actually enough for casual transactions that we do everyday.
686  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WARNING! SCAM SITE on: September 10, 2022, 02:30:13 AM
I am creating this thread to warn about a casino scam. It's called BIT555.IO It is a clone of BC.Game.
They require you to deposit a minimum of $10 in order to withdraw.
However, if you start too much, they block you claiming that you violated the site's rules.
1. Create a proper scam thread using the proper format.

2. You knew it was a clone site of BC.Game. Then why still play on it? If it is a clone site, then there is a 99.99% chance that they are here to scam you. A casino that can't give an effort to build their own design has no intention to run a legit casino.

3. You needed to make a deposit to withdraw? I guess you were using their free coins or something. Always read the Terms of service before playing in a casino. Most casino won't like it if you withdraw free money.
687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LUNA PUMP on: September 10, 2022, 12:04:24 AM
Am I missing something in the market news?
I was Airdrop 10.5$ worth of btc for a task I won in twitter used the money to buy the new Luna on Binance which was less down 48hrs now.
Just logged in my Binance now and am seeing a massive gain. 10$ is currently worth 28.7$.
Were is the pump actually heading to, should I take profit now or hold?
Just asking out of curiosity, u really don't trust this Luna again despite how small the initial capital is.
Probably just a pump and is going to get dumped soon. There hasn't been any major announcement that would have caused the price to go up a lot within few hours. Most likely due to the pump of Luna classic, Luna is getting pumped. Both will get dumped soon, which I am also sure. Luna classic is already getting dumped. Both are very risky to hold.

You can take out your profits dude and HODL an amount that you can lose in Lunc, these profits are caused by the burn that led to a decrease in the total supply. I do not see that the Lunc coin is a good investment in the long term, only in the short term. You can invest in it and get your profits out constantly because it is really a coin that is not guaranteed and there are thousands of people who lost their money and lost their trust in the Terra Luna team, so I do not advise you to risk unless you have additional money excess of your needs.
He is talking about Luna, not Luna classic.
688  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin will always remain the best choice on: September 09, 2022, 09:54:55 PM
The diagram below gives a short and precise distinctive difference between BTC, Gold and Fiat.

-snip-

Gold is divisible too. But like you said, there are physical limits, and it is the same with bitcoin and fiat currency. Bitcoin has the lowest unit, a sat, but you can literally do nothing with that 1 sat. You won't even be able to send it to anyone since the fee is going to be more. The same goes for gold. You can divide it into minuscule pieces, but no one is going to have any use of it.

And yeah, bitcoin is censorship resistant, but most of the people use centralized wallets or exchanges to make transactions. Bitcoin can still be censored if the government wishes to ban any kind of bitcoin transactions. In that case, even if you are doing p2p transactions, you are breaking the law. As long as you don't interact with any fiat currency, you will be fine, but that is almost impossible.

-snip-
with the above explanation it is clear why btc is better and the best choice over the rest. If you are still in doubt it is too bad because you are clearly missing out.
Yes, it is better, but not the best choice over the rest. There are still some drawbacks that soon will be solved.
689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your plan with Bitcoin? on: September 09, 2022, 09:45:31 PM
Hi all,

I started investing in crypto February this year but due to the high price of Bitcoin did not start investing in it until mid June just after the crash.

Since then I have been DCA every week and currently own 2% of a Bitcoin at an average price of £17,900.

My goal is to hold Bitcoin until it reaches £500k - £1m, i know it will take a long time but will be worth it.

I am hoping these current prices last a lot longer so that we can all continue to DCA at low prices.

Just wondering how everyone else invests in Bitcoin? How often do you buy and how long do you plan to hold?
Just wondering if the price had never crashed, you would never have invested since you were waiting for a crash? I don't think you should stop investing because the price is high. Wasn't the price already high during the crash if you compare it with few years ago?

I don't follow any specific strategy. If I have some money lying around that I won't need. It goes into Bitcoin and other crypto currencies. I keep holding as long as I want. Never had to sell yet.
690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto's biggest flops are now pumping ? But why?! on: September 09, 2022, 09:24:06 PM
Terra Luna Classic and Voyager are two projects nobody expects to attract a lot of investors anymore. Yet they're going parabolic ? Right at the bottom of one of the worst bear markets crypto's ever had ??
This is madness.
Because of the community. Go to the their reddit thread and you will see everyone saying "to the moon" and lots of bullshit reason why the price will go to $1 or $0.01 (which is almost impossible). Everyone is shilling and people are FOMOing. They recently announced burning mechanism, so people are hyped and investing in Luna classic. But most of them don't realize that enough won't be burn in few years for the price to reach $1. Most of the transactions and trading are done through centralized exchange. So no burning will take place because of offchain transactions. Do you really think a coin that literally has no utility is going to stay at the top 50?
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Queen Elizabeth and Cryptocurrency on: September 09, 2022, 04:50:16 AM
The longest-reigning British monarch Queen Elizabeth died at the age of 96 in Balmoral Castle. She was born in 1926. During her lifetime money is not at all an issue for her. Being the Queen of the Royal Family of the World could've impacted the market if she have made some statement relative to cryptocurrency. Once she received a blockchain journal and this made discussions of the Royal Family holding bitcoin.

After her death, the same is being used as an opportunity and meme coin creators have made 40+ tokens on the ethereum and Binance Smart Chain. Few of which are
  • Queen Elizabeth Inu
  • DogeGod Save The Queen
  • London Bridge Is Down
  • Queen Grow
  • Rip Queen Elizabeth
  • Elizabeth II
  • Queen Inu

Apart from this NFTs too have striked the market. For now few tokens have gained $200000+ trading volume.
Of course people are going to take advantage of the opportunity. There are people that knows what they are doing. They will invest in those shitcoins, take their profit and leave. And then there are stupid/dumb people that will invest in those coins after the price goes up and keeps holding thinking they will make a fortune and get rich overnight. Those are the kind of people that deserves to get scammed.

And then there are people like you that loves to promote scam coins.
692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are all crypto gambling charges expensive when it comes to USDT? on: September 09, 2022, 04:33:50 AM
Base on your screenshot, This is normal for ERC20 tokens since it has a huge transaction fee around 4-5$. It will be inefficient to allow withdrawal that almost 50% of the transaction amount will be the fee. Ethereum tokens has an insane transaction which is the reason why they set minimum withdrawal for that specific tokens.

Use TRC20 network instead if you want to save fee because all tokens that runs on Ethereum blockchain has that kind of huge fee. Does TRC20 USDT has same min withdrawal amount? Other Casino typically set 5$ min. withdrawal amount for TRC20 USDT.

Yes, I didn't notice that right away Sir, I should choose the TRC20 network because its transaction fee is only 11 TRX, it's only around 0.6$-0.7$.

Because I play on this gambling platform most of the time, I can't gamble here using usdt because all I saw was 19$ but I didn't notice that it was ERC20 that's why it's expensive.

Anyway, thank you sir for saying that, I was just thinking about a lot of problems so maybe I didn't notice it right away. God bless you and have a nice day. Cheesy
It is because ERC20 transactions are super expensive + I guess the casino keeps a small fees during withdrawal. We need to wait for ETH 2.0 and then the sharding which will reduce the costs of transactions.

TRC20 transactions are cheap like others said, but they should have also mentioned that its a different network. So make sure wherever you are withdrawing it does support TRC20 network and tokens or your coins are going to be lost forever. If you send a TRC20 token to a ERC20 network, highly likely you will loose your funds.
693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and the failure of El Salvador on: September 09, 2022, 04:29:16 AM
El Salvador hasn't failed. You seem to be supporting bitcoin, but why did you have to set the title of this thread like that? You make it sound like bitcoin and El Salvador, both has failed. You are only spreading FUDs through your clickbait title.

I haven't kept myself updated with El Salvador, but as far as I know, they haven't sold any bitcoins yet. So they haven't lost anything. You are only going to lose if you are going to sell your coins!
694  Economy / Economics / Re: What define your success, "money, fame or achievement"? on: September 09, 2022, 04:25:42 AM
Everyone loves to become a successful being but success definition differs for everyone. Most people see success as being fame and rich. Although money is a huge driving factor for a lot of things and an ultimate measuring stick for whether or not a business is successful but this doesn't fully define success. Success is about claiming and speaking up for what is important to you. Consider these and tell if they are successful

👉👉a rich and a famous man with a broken home
👉👉a rich and a famous man that has failed to impact on others.
👉👉a money corrupt rich and famous man
👉👉a ritualist with great fame.

Although this people are rich and famous but aren't successful at my own part. There is always a shortcut to riches and being famous but success comes through hardwork. There are many rich and famous people who have attempted suicides in their life. If being rich is being successful, then what made them to take such disastrous steps? Sanjay Dutt is a son of a famous politician and is one of the richest celebrities, Sunil Dutt. Still, he is behind lock-up. Is this what we call as success? Many gangstar becomes rich out of crime and corruption but they are not successful in our society. This is part of what causes increasement in crime rate and corruption in the world as everyone want to be rich so as to be called a successful being. A successful man is one who finds his purpose and creates a life where he can fulfill that purpose.

CONCLUSION
Let's stop making money and fame the only measure for success. Being successful is being happy and satisfied with ones fully achieved dreams. Money cannot buy satisfaction and happiness. Satisfaction and happiness is the true definition of success and anyone without this can not be declare as being successful.
I guess success would be what makes you feel happy and complete? You can have all the money, but if you aren't happy, you aren't successful. You might have lot of fame, but if you don't have any money and struggle day to day which will make you unhappy, then you have failed to be successful. The same thing, you got an achievement, but no one recognizes it and you have no fame at all, and if that makes you unhappy, you failed.

Success isn't tied to anything, but your own happiness.
695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That's why I really like bitcoin :) on: September 09, 2022, 04:00:10 AM
-snip-
You don’t have to physically carry it around. You can gutter the paper or plastic and free up your precious fund space.
Well you do have to carry a device or something if you want to make payments with bitcoins. It's the same as carrying your card or your phone to make payments when buying anything. With fiat system you can go cashless if you want.

-snip-

Bitcoin is like a bank that’s in no way closed, this currency is moving and available 24/7. Further people and places are starting to accept it, from coffee shops to real estate possessors, this is a currency gaining traction and seems to be gaining worldwide acceptance.

Available 24/7 if people are using non custodial wallet. But sadly most people use custodial wallets and exchange to make transactions.

-snip-
The Bitcoin community has quality memes and GIF games.
Worst way to promote bitcoin. Don't mix bitcoin with memes. It's a "serious legit" currency. You make it sound like bitcoin is just another shit currency that is living all because of the memes.
696  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stressful crypto market on: September 09, 2022, 01:52:01 AM
Previously, many people could not buy BTC for the reason that it was expensive and the amount was small. Is this already on the verge of Dropping Deadline???
Bitcoin can never be expensive. Anyone can buy and own bitcoin.  You don't have to buy one whole bitcoin. You can buy fractions of the coins and still make some profit. If you have $100 lying around, then invest those  $100. Keep investing slowly and one day you might own a one whole bitcoin.

People didn't buy bitcoin not because it was expensive, because they thought that it was a scam or has no future. Most of them thought it was a ponzi scheme. Not all of them regret for not investing and right now trying to trash talk as much as they can about bitcoin.
697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does altcoins actually have the potentials of generating benefits to investors? on: September 09, 2022, 01:28:32 AM
Altcoins are more volatile than bitcoin. It has more risks when compared to trading bitcoin. Trade one wrong altcoin, and you might end up losing everything you invested. Don't invest in those altcoins that are being pumped and dumped. You will know what those coins are when you see the trade volume and the sudden rise of the price in few minutes.

As long as you are investing in "legit" altcoins, you will be making profit. You can also hold them for making long term profit. Just don't go after coins that you think will go to the "moon soon" or some shitty meme coins!
698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Terra Classic scam? on: September 09, 2022, 12:53:18 AM
It is not a scam. Just a useless token with no utility like it once had. Right now it is trending and trading only because of the community support. To be honest most of the people are trading and investing in altcoin with the hope of becoming rich real quick. They all believe that the price can reach $1 (being delusional)  or at least $0.001.

Right now I think they are going to implement some burn mechanism. People thinks that this burn mechanism will help the price reach $1, but that isn't going to happen anytime soon since most trading and transactions are being done in centralized exchange.
699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 Bitcoin Traders Arrested Due To Illegal Trading on: September 08, 2022, 11:49:43 PM
Bitcoin was illegal in their country. They knew about this. They were still using bitcoin and trading with it. They are breaking the laws, so they were arrested. Based on what you wrote, it looks like they were also scamming people through dating sites and was using bitcoin to hide those money and launder it. So it looks like they were actually targeted for committing mass scam, not trading bitcoins.
At least they got caught when they thought no one could catch them if they used bitcoin!
700  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin do $19k again before a bull market? on: September 08, 2022, 04:30:39 AM
I usually don't bother my self about BTC price but always keep update with news. But yet I decided to take a look at the price chart, then I saw that BTC price has broke the support for $20,700, the direction of the market has turned bearish and the next support should be seen in the $18k / $19k  area. There may be a continuous downward movement this weekend. Trade with mindfulness and add a stop loss in all trades.
If it happens that Bitcoin goes down to $18 or 19k, that will be the last time it will go that low this year, what do you guys think about this (Bitcoin experts in the forum)?
Why do people ask questions that no one can answer? There were predictions that the price would go below $10,000 but it never happened. The market is very volatile and unpredictable.
Based on current market, it does look like the price might go below $19,000 and has already happened yesterday but quickly recovered (like I said, very volatile). No one knows when bear market will end or when the bull market will start. All you can do is either take advantage of this volatility (too risky) or sit back, relax and let the market take its course!
