My vote gone for game-protect and he needs to win this. Give him some honer LOL Can you make a poll for Arse-licker too? Very possible but I have no idea about any of them. In fact why would anyone lick others arse :-P

Exactly :-P It would be fairly easy to force you to restore your wallet.
All jokes aside, this was the whole point.

Not sure. But the concept is nice :-D
Imagine a wallet that will ask to scan your retina before broadcasting a transaction :-P
Now, wouldn't it be easier to steal your coins? One only need your retina to rob your coins /s

I think these sorts of cases will be very rare, but they will probably work themselves out. As vod said, exclusions can be made for people who are no longer active
Not everyone is going to revise their trust list which we are seeing from Zepher's case. How about this? - You must have posted sometime within the last 30 days.
It's one of the criteria of DT1 selection. Theymos can use something like this for someone being in DT2 too. Point is if someone is not active for certain amount of time then despite being in the trust list of DT1, the user will lose their DT2 status. This way their feedback will not reflect as trusted anymore unless they fill up the criteria again.

Atm everyone speculating about his retirement. As Gayle's fan, It's hard to watch him nowadays because he's playing bad and now he's waiting for Board to kick him out. (JK)
The way I see he could announce his retirement before the 300th match so that he could play last game as the farewell match. He's already became the highest run-scorer for Windies so announcing retirement at this milestone makes sense as well, but it's not an option anymore.
Okay, I must messed up here with his 300th ODI thinking as his last ODI match LOL Well Gayle really is having bad time since the WC and I think it started sometimes from the last IPL. Or maybe he's eyeing for one explosive inning for closure who knows. No doubt. May be, he is trying to play some more good innings and then wants to retire from the peak. In fact this is the dream of every player.

In simple terms, Virgin Bitcoin is a term used to refer to any freshly mined Bitcoin that has not been used for any transaction at all.
Does anyone have a tx of a Virgin Bitcoin? I would love to see it :-D

He played his 300th ODI which is a big deal and hence there was celebration for that achievement but never heard about his retirement from ODI.
Okay then I think we will need to wait till the next match. I tried looking online but found nothing about it. It really is confusion for me LOL Not sure where I heard that the last match was his last ODI :-P Am not too sure about this news since he basically reversed his retirement decision recently which is why we can't be too sure about these things. He might still have some fuel left in his tank for a couple more matches.
Yeah it was during the world cup: https://www.bbc.com/sport/cricket/48775479

You do remember India defeating Australia by a comfortable margin too, don't you? Yeah I do and it was expected. India was a better team. India played really well cricket in the whole tournament except in the semi against New Zealand. They were the first deserved one to have the world cup and 2nd was to be Australia. Without Roy England betting line up was a mess in the middle of the tournament. I think they had to bring back Roy early to save their WC mission even he was not fit 100%. My bet is on England or a draw for the 2nd test match. Australia is heavily dependent on Smith currently and I think they might be in trouble if Smith departs early this time around. There are concerns in Australia's batting line up however I think they will win. I will go for Austral to win or the worse will be a draw.

If you know the address then check the balance in any explorer. If they are there then you are stress free that your coins has not gone anywhere.
Now the 2nd part, I see you have tried possibly everything and you do not have a 2nd laptop too. However try the other things also suggested by the other poster and if you still find yourself in a position that nothing worked then continue here.
I see two possible issue: 1. Something in your system is preventing to connect the server despite trying possibly everything 2. Your internet service provider has an issue.
So, this is what I would do: 1. Uninstall the OS and reinstall it then try Electrum with a fresh OS (make sure you have your wallet files are backed up. The best practice is to have the back up of the seeds)
2. If I still see the problem then I will take my computer to a friend who use internet service from another service provider and check from their internet connection.
One should really work from here.

I thought Gayle played his last ODI match in the 2nd match?

~snip~ Why was Starc not selected in the first test match, is it because of any injury if not i am not sure why was that,
He was in perfect shape. It was the team management who decided to give someone else the chance so that they can find a future replacement for Starc. They were almost losing the Test match for that. Good thing that they have come to consciousness. Jofra might be feeling a lot of pressure as he is debuting in Ashes and with his performance in the shorter version there is a lot of expectation for him to perform as they lost the first test and he just want to take an insurance before he plays in the Ashes . He is the x-factor of the English team. He will strike with wicket when England will desperately need one. He proved himself in the WC.

^Australia also doesn't look as tough as they were last WC. Being the strongest team since years, they should keep up their reputation but they have been in controversies for ball tampering with Steve, Warner being involved. Smith and Warner are assets for the team and when the entire team was failing, Smith got them the runs. They have good bowlers but they still lose matches which actually they should have won. Their second innings is what saved them and made England lose.
Australia had a very bad start in the first innings of the first Test. Thanks to Smith to save the innings and also to save the match. It was beyond my intellectual that why did not they take Starc. If Starc was there then job would have been easier for Australia. ~snip~ I can understand what you are saying here, but I feel like you are under-estimating England a bit too much here. They did beat India, Australia and other big teams in the World Cup quite comfortably if you look back.
I am not denying the good performance of English team in the world cup. They were good but not better than India and Australia. In the group match beating India was okay looking but beating Australia in the semi was just a fluke. Australia had a bad day and England took advantage of it. Then obviously winning the World cup was the biggest fluke. Everything had to go in their favor. They have been known to bounce back after losses which is why I am expecting the same in this 2nd test match. A draw is also a possibility. I will be bored if the Test turns out to be an easy win for any of the team so I will hope we see another good Test like the first one. Archer is going to play possibly, Starc will be playing. We are looking forward to a competitive Test match. Those who has strong nerves they will win of course.

- Firstly: in case you're not kidding, and you'll actually invest a lot of money, don't go for a desktop wallet! Go for an airgapped setup, properly generated paper wallets or hardware wallets
I would suggest a 2/2 multiSig wallet. Keep both keys in separate places which only OP will know or he can tell those he trust just in case if anything happens to him. I have seen vulnerability in paper wallets, no complain about hardware wallet though but since it's only the seeds to know, I find it easier to discover than a 2/2 multiSig wallet. So, I would not mind if someone use desktop wallet but a multiSig address (minimum a 2/2). It's more secure in my opinion.

The 2nd test match between Australia and England is starting within 2 days people. This one will be an exciting one in my opinion. England are under heavy pressure since none of their batsmen could perform like Smith did for this team.
I am expecting the reverse this time around. I choose Root and Stokes to score centuries and help England secure a victory here. Lets see what happens.
Nah! I do not expect much from English team. They seems a team who are clueless when pressure is there. The English team was always like this and will be the same. Winning the WC was just a fluke. If Stokes would not click and if all those decisions were not given in their favor then we would see a different world champion. I will actually blame the two semi final results. India played bad cricket in the first semi and Australia also played the same in their semi. The result was England is the world champion.

My eyes are on Test series though. I remember when Windies beat the shit out of the English team in Test, so finger crossed lol.
You really expect something from this WI team? They are not challenging much even in ODI then how come they will play Test match for 5 days? This WI team is so much into T20 mindset that in future we will see the board will ask ICC a special request that to revoke their ODI and Test status. There was a time WI used to shit out of any team, not just England. The glories are not there anymore.

Obviously, The founder of the forum.
Pleeeeeease!! It's surprising how well-documented history can become totally forgotten... Satoshi created the forum on Nov 22, 2009, and was head administrator until almost 2011. Then Sirius was head administrator until 2012, which is when I took over.
Cobra also owns the bitcointalk.org domain name. I consider the forum to be basically owned by or at least dedicated to the Bitcoin community, though; I don't call anyone an owner of the forum.
That wiki article is kind of terrible...
Sorry to quote the whole thing but it was funny. You misjudged the formatting of OP. Here look, Obviously, The founder of the forum.
What do you think now? :-P

@goldentrigg3r I have to admit that I have seen the most creative loan request. Obviously the lender will not get a single satoshi in return. Do you wanna bet? Send whatever amount you are willing to risk to the address I have in my profile. :-P

~snip~
In my case, I haven’t because i’m not lucky when it comes to gambling, before I used to play dice, slot machines and card game but the highest amount of bitcoin that I won is only 0.00003400 and that’s like one time, after I won that I bet all thinking I might be lucky but sadly, I just lost it so now I seldom gamble because I realized gambling isn’t for me and when I gamble i’m more into sports betting now and from the Pacman-Thurman fight I won $20.
Seems like you are not a high stake roller however it's good to see that you do not gamble often anymore. I have seen people around me to lose money in gambling including me. It's an addictive fun. You are paying to take stress LOL Good damn it! I know in every match WI will lose but still I am not placing any single bet in India vs WI series.
