701  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why gun is easily available in US? on: March 30, 2017, 03:54:22 PM
Studies prove, in places where the ownership of guns are highest, crimes are lowest.

I don't think that I could agree with that post. Normally, gun ownership is higher where the crime rates are also high. If the crime rates are low, then there is no need to purchase firearms (that said, in some of the US states such as Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire, the gun ownership is extremely high despite the very low crime rates).

That is quite a speculation on your part, Sithara.

It might be, that prevention (or gun carry in this case) is cultural  Wink in Germany you will get fined for carrying pepper spray, despite ever increasing crime rates, the laws dealing with personal defense did not change at all.

To all those who are sure an intermediate drop or even a reversal is not possible: please explain how scaling will be resolved smoothly? Seems to me the best-case scenarios for this chronic problem are thin on the ground.

The TA in this thread seems to go quite nicely with the rate at which the percentage of Bitcoin Unlimited blocks are increasing.

When will the scaling happen? Do we have a firm time frame?
703  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are all american racists? Do they hate all outsiders/immigrants? on: March 13, 2017, 06:17:22 AM
The whole idea of racism is stupid. It is designed by Government to take freedom from people.

Cool

The problem with racism is that allegations of racism can only be pointed against white males. It can never be alleged against Africans, Muslims, LGBTs, Japanese, Koreans.etc despite the fact that many of these people are even more racist than the whites.
That's because white people have always been above it and didn't care. Would you feel insulted if someone called you a white? You pale man, you white flour! You christian! Grin
Imagine walking in the street with a sign "I hate whites" - nobody would care. Do the same with "I hate blacks" and you'll get shouted at, maybe assaulted. Now try doing the same thing with a sign "i hate muslims" and you'll be spit at, possibly stabbed and killed. Groups that feel most insecure will react most violently.

I think you are affirming position of poster before you. White people have been victims of hate crimes at increasing rate "because they are above it", so it doesnt count in media  Smiley

Yet, certain minorities reaffirm violent stereotypes with their own insecure, psychotic behavior towards all outsiders.

Indeed, this has been supported by double standarts of media and government. Nobody else is to be blamed for it.

I don't think that this scenario can continue like this in the long term. There can be two outcomes. Either the white majority will accept its fate, and exterminate itself through race miscegenation. Another outcome may be a violent resistance by the whites against the ongoing ethnicide.

I dont think power elites support this hate cycle through some anti-white conspiracy. Rather, they may like Catholic Church of the past seek power through guilt shaming. White people are not only majority, but have historically held viable assets. Easiest way to gain someones assets is to "ask for them".

What I am trying to say is: Once this race mongering will stop beind profitable, power elites will turn public attention against somebody else. I agree with you, though, that reaction from white people would be both safer and quicker. For everybody.

EDIT: You can also observe, that while media shaming is targeted against middle class. Upper echelons of society have remained remarkably homogenous ie. white. Further pointing to the fact, that all of this is form of class war of controlling masses.

Criptix,

I find it quite interesting, that person, who has been around bitcoin forum doesnt even know what acronym GPS means.

GPS is form of radar.

Since you are so educated on the subject, you probadly already know, that both Russia and China have dedicated weapons to destroy enemy sattelites from their aerial platforms.

706  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World War III ? on: March 12, 2017, 09:56:59 PM
World War I and II Had passed. All the countries tied in United Nation. However recently there seem grouping countries. They join in the military coalition. Islamic countries have allied. Some comunists countries also take position with the winning Russia in Syria helped by Iran.

US , China and other super power countries may prepare all the possibilities. Will World War III Problably happen? Where will it start from?

Wars have gotten progressively less real as societies develop. The next war will occur on tv.

Remember it has been more than 70 years since primitive scientists first developed a nuke. 20 years later even 3rd world countries had them and not long after that a scientist publicized a recipe for dictators to make a nuke.

So the problem now is not 'how to attack a country', it is 'how not to piss off the mentally ill'. If a country offends too many educated people the leaders of that country run the risk of glowing in the dark.

What is the solution to avoid a stagnating period at this level?

The only solution is to study the psychology of wars and realize that it is only physical space that makes safety. So the solution will come with the expansion of real estate markets into outer space.

You make some good points, but more should be said.

Indeed, enough resources are prerequisite of peace - if youve got like minded people. It was not starvation that started civil war in US and countries such as Russia had very turbulent histories despite the fact, that they span vast areas. Proper resource management makes standing social order stronger, but it wont amend differences among societies that have different ideologies. It is in human nature to consider evil those, who have contrarian values.

The fact, that most westerners dont feel effects of wars that concern them is not progress, it is quite peculiar trend it will be one day over. 18th century european warfare also saw limited conflicts, that for the most part left civilian population alone. Since elites which waged those wars had common conduct and values.

Not long before that, ancestors of the same people were ethnically cleansing each other in thirty years war and not long after they were cleansing each other again for minor differences in nationality and race. Same was before experiend by ancient world and also middle East.

So, no, we dont live in utopia, but bubble, that will one day burst. As it did so many times before.
707  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The international court of justice at the suit of Ukraine to Russia on: March 12, 2017, 09:43:28 PM
Ukraine and Russia are two Slavic friendly people, they can not fight each other. All claims are simply meaningless.
Open your eyes and look. Russia only pretends to be a friendly state. In fact, this aggressive Imperial state which considers a neighboring state as a target for expansion of their territories. In the Donbass now there is a real war of Russia against Ukraine. Crimea is Ukrainian territory occupied by Russian.

Since when did Crimea became Ukrainian territory? In 1954, right? Two hundred years before that, the territory was under the rule of Crimean Muslims, who used the ports of Crimea to ship Russian and Ukrainian slaves to the Ottoman Empire. The slave trade came to an end when the Russian Empire annexed Crimea in 1783.

Good point, Sithara.

Ukrainians have this national legend, that it was communists who destroyed the country, yet it was precisely evil Soviets, which formed country in its pre-2013 borders. Crimea was never part of any local state, sans slavetrading Tatar muslim Khanate.
708  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is US election really get hacked? on: March 12, 2017, 09:38:16 PM
How can anyone claim that US election get hacked? Did Trump really won by hacking? Isn't that was a fair election? If it really get hacked now what steps US will take place for it? Do they again have election or Trump will be the next President?

I remember that in case, where Democrats/Greens forced recount, "surprisingly" Trump thereafter won by even larger margin. Nobody can guarantee this wouldnt be the case in national recount. So I highly suspect, that this part of smear campaign aimed at new administration by old power elites.
709  Other / Politics & Society / Human Rights aka New Church? on: March 12, 2017, 09:35:53 PM
It crossed my mind recently, that (trans)human/animal rights in certain regions have long ago ceased to be aimed at defending interests of common men and nature. Instead they became increasingly selfserving and often work side by side with corporations and governments as their "soft power" appendage.

May it be possible, that indeed, NGOs are turning into sort of Church, with Karl Marx their Saint and cultural marxism their doctrine?

Corporations as the new aristocracy, NGOs as the new Church, population enslaved by guilt shaming and ever rising taxes and work hours.
710  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who is stronger the government or the president? on: March 12, 2017, 09:30:25 PM
Sorry not knowing this kind of stuff, its just i wanted to know who's the strong one of them because some of my friend told me that the government is strong because they can decide to impeach the president and also i thought that president is more stronger than the government for that the president is more likely  has a bigger rank of his country.. so i need your opinion on this one and teach me Cheesy

Your question could possibly be more vague  Smiley

In coutries such as Russia or Turkey, president is effectively head of the government aswell, in other euro countries (s)he is merely a figurehead for ceremonial occasions. United States and France fall somewhere inbetween those two extremes.

To be sure, you would have to actually read constituion of said country, as constitution clearly specifies who holds what powers in executive branch.
I disagree with you. The reading of the Constitution will do nothing. In Russia or Ukraine, for example, Parliament is an independent branch of government, but in fact it is not. Especially in Russia. It is a dictatorial country disguised as a democracy.

I wonder how do you define "dictatorial" country, that label is awfully popular today.
If you mean that either Ukraine or Russia is ruled by one dictator without limits, then that is blatantly false.

Russia has quite peculiar power elites, that struggle against each other in the Moscow and Petrograd. Not unlike power elites do the same in Washington. In both countries, president has to expend quite alot of energy on mediating interests of different cliques.

Ukraine is even more complicated as politicians blend with oligarchs and western agents, who keep pumping free money in the country.

Atleast in the first case however, rule of law is formally followed, when power balance requires it, the law is changed. So, take your time and read it  Wink
LOL. Is Russia ruled by law? What wars elite? What are you talking about? Without the approval of Putin's Russia, nothing is done. All the opposition was killed. What is this if not a dictatorship?

How old are you? You know, Russia was around before you were born. It was around before Putin was born also. Heresy, I know, since Putin is Russia and Russia is Putin according to your favourite television news network.

Modern russian politics is not that different from early Roman empire, or before that Macedon - that is if can take post-communist era as a precedent. Ruler appoints successor, which then has to gain popular approval. Laws are made, amended or eliminated to reflect shifting power balance between different groups in Kremlin.

I dont think you are going to understand, since your perception of politics started and ended with work of Tolkien.
711  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Iran announces successful test of $800m Russia-built air defence system on: March 12, 2017, 09:22:11 PM
In a case of total war the US would just nuke everyone down with a first strike.
And right now the balance of the MAD doctrine is not secured.

http://thebulletin.org/how-us-nuclear-force-modernization-undermining-strategic-stability-burst-height-compensating-super10578

Btw from all studies i read the s-400 is not the wonder machine most of the russians trolls want it to be.
The US has enough forces and the means to destroy russias c4isr infrastructure which would make most of russias defense useless.

The biggest problem is that russia doesnt own a space based radar program (or rather they just started one because they realised themself).

So if anybody disagrees with official US narrative it means they are "hired russian trolls", huh? No, wonder, that such ill informed people make bad decisions then.

To correct some of your bad info. Russia (or rather Soviet Union) formed global space sattelite program, originally planned in 1976, it was completed and fully functional by 1995. It is why it was able to overturn war in Syria with merely forty warplanes. It is called GLONASS.

S400 is by its designation not meant to by the ultimate weapon, rather it is a tool that will prevent enemy air strikes to destroy infrastructure. And given all the attention of media and "experts", Id say it works.
712  Other / Politics & Society / Re: North Korea fires four ballistic missiles into sea, angering Japan and South on: March 11, 2017, 04:40:08 AM
This guy (Kim Jong Un) seems to be mentally handicapped. But even more alarming is the fact that he is commanding an army of close to 4 million people and having multiple nuclear weapons in his possession. Is there any solution to exterminate this rabid dog?

So far he seems rather shrewd, if you understand that NK is form of absolute monarchy and the monarch himself by all accounts spends most of his energy at trying to balance different cliques at his palace.

Extermination? For what purpose? Do you want millions of NKs go mad and pour over the borders? Because thats how 18th centure French would react, if you flat out murdered "king of the sun".  Wink

Indeed, from western point of view they seem positively insane. We learned to leave insane people alone, in isolation, not "fight them for their own good".
713  Other / Politics & Society / Re: North Korea fires four ballistic missiles into sea, angering Japan and South on: March 11, 2017, 04:36:15 AM
Kim is trying to show off again. He must be bored.
This won't lead anywhere, countries don't have much to gain from a war with that poor country beside land itself, but that fanatic might push them to it. If a conflict starts it will end within days because half of Kims army is just waiting for an opportunity to defect.

Exactly. It is posturing, more aimed as show off strength to native north korean subjects than rest of the world. Pyramid like society such as that of NK is by nature inward looking.

For the same reason, US and Soviets once sent rockets to outer space. Not to destroy the world or advance science but to prove to taxpayers that they are number one in the world.

Neighbours are wise to be wary and prepared, but there is no need for overreaction. In a fact it is but an immature gesture of how the NKs are letting off steam, reassuring themselves, that they are military superpower...
714  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UN drugs board slams killings in Philippines on: March 11, 2017, 04:30:26 AM
In the Philippines Duterte gave full legal nihilism. Now he kills drug dealers, and then will kill disagree with his regime.

That sounds awfully judgmental for person, that presented but a single idea how to deal with armed gangs subservient to drug barons.

Do you wish to live in state that is policed by militia of drug lords? Inside Rio de Janeiro favelas perhaps? Or are you rather Detroit urban type?

The men that are being hunted down in Phillipines today are not your neighbours kids trying to get rich by selling marijuana at local high school. They are organized, armed, killers and traffickers. It is shameful, that instead of assistance the west scolds Phillipines for fighting back against these cancerous tumors.
715  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Intervention Theory: An alternative to Darwinism and Creationism on: March 11, 2017, 04:23:41 AM
OP,

so the "intervention" is basically way to abridge differences between Darwinian and creationist theory? Well, it is seems possible. Afterall, those are all merely theories as they cannot be verified by reconstruction. Possible yes. Thank you for this fun topic and do not get too worried about local trolls pretending to understand Darwin.
716  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World War III ? on: March 11, 2017, 04:20:49 AM
If World war III happens.

Bitcoin price 1M$ ?

If all out global war somehow broke out, you can bet your speculating arse that publicly available internet and broadcast will be its first victims. Bitcoins are only as strong as men who own them, through network that is also dependant on frail men.
717  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World War III ? on: March 11, 2017, 04:18:03 AM
No, no, I don't want the world III to happen, at least not in my lifetime.Where drums beat, laws are silent.
I agree with you, I don't want to face the big WW III. Only Greedy  and arogant people who want to start war in this world.
The war of many feeds. Many people earn big money, while others die, thinking that they are fighting for a gallant cause.

Indeed dear sir. Some wars are fought for just causes.

Freedoms we take for granted today, were hard won privileges by our grandfathers.

Likes of Hitler and Napoleon were not defeated by flowers and protesters waving their signs. Nor by online petitions. Their evil deeds were stopped by valiant men, who fought and died  to keep their loved ones safe.

So the just war, isnt a myth, it is emasculating and factually wrong to believe so.
718  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The international court of justice at the suit of Ukraine to Russia on: March 10, 2017, 06:10:22 PM
In the International court of justice decision on the claim of Ukraine against Russia will apply to breaches of the two conventions, but will not affect the most important question of the armed aggression. Why not consider the ultimate question? In your opinion.

Good job. Youve opened can of worms.

To answer you question straight up, however. You could then take to court any major power in existence. Ie. any armed attack started by any country without UN approval. Which would mean that court would be too occupied by accusations from all over the world against United States and Britain to deal effectively with real politik of Russia.

So, no Russia is not going to get even more roasted, because it would undermine the international court.

Seems to me like both people who were short and people who were long were burned on Bitfinex. Feels a little bit too kind of "insiderish" for my taste.

Anyway, I cant wait for next week. Price development will be without doubt exciting.
720  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sweden returns a call to the army in connection with the threat from Russia on: March 10, 2017, 05:58:49 PM
Nothing causes such damage as a betrayal. Your people always know our most vulnerable places and gladly turn them over to the enemy. It's terrible, but there is no protection from this.
There is a protection against betrayal and defection! Pay your soldiers good salary and promise them generous Google-like benefits (free gourmet food, health insurance, pension, free education etc), so they will be motivated to fight bravely and defend country. Soldiers must to understand that if own army loses, they will also lose all promised benefits.

You know what? World is large and wide and not everybody will fight and kill for green paper and extra week of vacation. Men are by nature quite tribal. And proud.

Since we are talking Sweden, I have my doubts, that state spending vast majority of its budget on welfare and transgender propaganda will offer that kind of paycheck to hot blooded men, who have tribal and religious links to potential enemies of state.

Afterall we did not manage to bribe Russia into cooperation and Turkey keeps rising the stakes, despite "benefits" they could have if they stayed in line. So you are not able to bribe your enemies, you formed society which scoffs at patriotism and now, you are dependant on mercenaries, who will only fight as far as paycheck is concerned. Exactly like late Roman Empire.
