701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BBR] Boolberry: Privacy and Security - Guaranteed[Bittrex/Poloniex]GPU Released on: January 10, 2015, 05:02:49 PM
Bittrex delisting warning for BBR:

Quote
It may be removed on January 16th unless the average daily trade volume for the last 7 days exceeds 0.2 BTC.

May want to consider doing some buying/ selling there over the next few days.

Yikes.  I haven't been trading BBR but I'll bump the volume a little I guess.

I am looking at the map and continents and I just CAN'T BELIEVE. There was one american singer who said in one show that Europe is a country... are you relatives?

I thought that was sarah palin who thought Africa was a country
703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) on: January 10, 2015, 03:05:52 PM
Why all the Darkcoiners started gradually selling Spreadcoin and buying Darkcoin in last couple of days? Are they hoping for some major price increase for the 1 year anniversary of Darkcoin? I woke up to find yet again around 5k SPR dumped just this morning  Angry Angry Angry

It doesn't have anything to do with darkcoin.  There is obviously an optimized miner being used by someone and they're selling what they mine.  It's been going on for awhile now.  There was someone on this thread just recently talking about making improvements that is very capable.  Not too hard to figure out that they were successful.
704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 2015 on: January 10, 2015, 10:11:51 AM
good presentation  Wink
im interest , i  monitor it

Just registered yesterday and now pumping this shitcoin.  Too funny.  This is so pathetic.

I wonder who's going to fall for this scam.

705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 2015 on: January 10, 2015, 10:02:13 AM
will watch this..

Why?

It's just a bunch of fluff.  Nothing will come of this. Just more junk to clutter up the forum.
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 2015 on: January 10, 2015, 10:01:52 AM

Sick geography bro.

Yeah Europe and South America, and Africa mixed up.

This is just some graphics and nothing more.  How can people fall for this crap?

Any takers here?
No joke. I've had it with my 950 kh/s crap-miner.

JL

Just doing a quick guestimate here so don't hold me to this as 100% accurate.

But why would some one do that when they will make about 3 times that? That figure was just with your 200 Mh/s in the thread.

You make a good point. Anyways, the AMD miner could use some work, it looks like.
Is it possible that some one is mining with improved GPU miner? say 2X or 3X speed as the miner on the op
Dunno yet. Haven't messed with it. Seems to have room for improvement, though, so I have very little doubt someone is mining with a faster miner.

Yeah it's almost guaranteed.
708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NectarCoin | (Try the Alert Demo) Skype + Slack + Intrade + Market Alerts on: January 06, 2015, 11:04:51 PM
Pure IPO?

A crowdfund - we're proposing to build a commercial-grade application for mainstream use, and the kind of development involved as well as other costs like legal and community management have to be funded to be sustainable and done right, though we've always been open to suggestions on how to best do that.

Note that we've proposed a strictly milestone-based multisig escrow release plan, where funds are released only as we deliver on the key components, shielding coin buyers from non-delivery and exchange risk. You can find more details here

I don't get all these IPO's.  You have nothing yet but if people give you money then you will build it.  That's like going on an interview for an engineering job and when asked if you have a degree you say not yet but if you hire me I'll go to school and get one.

Hell, if I had the kind of money you guys are probably asking for I could build a "commercial-grade application for mainstream use".  You're not doing anything special.  Everyone has ideas.  Rarely do people follow through with anything.  This "give me the money now and I'll build it" is getting old.  Crypto is the only place where money is raised with nothing but some buzz words, fancy graphics, and promises of things to come.  In the real world people investing at least know who is getting their money and they expect to typically see something tangible like a prototype, working demo, anything.  In crypto people just hand over money to complete strangers that they will never be able to recover their money from when things go bad based on a two paragraph ANN on bitcointalk.  It just insane.

I'll be honest.  I don't think you'll ever complete what you say your setting out to do.  You have some conceptual design graphics for a wallet that you made in Photoshop, a worthless POD, and some fancy words.  I don't see anything different from the last 100 or so IPO's launched in the last month or two.  All a person has to do is look at all the worthless coins launched as IPO's worth much less than their selling price, no volume, and a bunch of bagholders.  There are dozens of them on C-Cex, Bittrex, and other exchanges that have been delisted and more that will be.  Why will this one be any different?

Your anticipated adoption cycle is meaningless.  There will be no widespread adoption of this coin.  Words are just words.  There are crypto's already with massive amounts of money behind them that are struggling for relevance.

Everything you talk about Skype, Slack, market alerts, messaging, etc...  Already exists.  People are not going to switch to your all in one thingymajiggy.
709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) on: January 06, 2015, 05:57:59 PM
Hmm, one miner has 24% of the hashrate.  Interesting.  Looks like we found the dumper.

Nice chart by the way.
No, 24% is just within this top addresses.

To clarify, people brought up the concern that some miners aren't taken into account due to their blocks being sent to a new address each time.  Is this correct or did you find a workaround for that in this chart?
The blockchain dont know which addresses are in same wallet. We can just infer that, after he assemble that coins. like Sfxc14Aj5FHA7cwLqxZyMxdus5CgVxr9Mw.

My mistake.  I thought that address currently had 24% of the hashrate.

710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ALTCHECK - FRESH - COINS SOURCE - POD - LONG TERM ICO on: January 06, 2015, 04:39:36 PM
C-Cex rules does not mean anything to any serious person in here. I personally don't believe that they will exist in 6 months.

exactly

As far as anyone knows C-Cex is who is behind this coin.

CoinSource verified is meaningless.
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) on: January 06, 2015, 04:19:20 PM
I'll put a 300 SPR bounty on a miners hash chart.

Here is 2 miners chart: http://104.36.83.126/spreadcoin/
  • network hashrate
  • top miners pie chart (>1000 mined coins)

Hmm, one miner has 24% of the hashrate.  Interesting.  Looks like we found the dumper.

Nice chart by the way.
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ALTCHECK - FRESH - COINS SOURCE - POD - LONG TERM ICO on: January 06, 2015, 04:14:50 PM
250000 ACHK at .03 btc = 7500 btc = $2047500

Is this correct?

Yes this is correct, and will be fully explained in the commercial roadmap. One of the major barriers when using cryptocurrency is the trust on something you cannot see or touch. In order to gain acceptance from local commerce, Altcheck plans to release ATMS and mobile printers to allow users to print a "check" directly from their mobile wallet, giving you the security of crypto but the acceptance of fiat. In order for this to work we understand we must work very hard to gain acceptance, and make a reputation for ourselves. We don't expect everyone to run off now to c-cex and invest, instead we expect questions for which we must provide answers. If you are not comfortable, don't invest until all your questions are answered. We want to set the standards for transparency in cryptocurrency.

Well for the amount of btc you are trying to get don't you think the roadmap should be the first thing you release?

714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange - The truth about exchangex and info about satoshi. on: January 05, 2015, 11:47:14 PM
Maybe they all end in "ex"  because they are all EXchanges.

Just a thought.
are you saying that cryptsy , hitbtc etc arent exchanges then ?....

No I'm not saying that at all.  I'm saying that many of the exchanges have "ex" in their name because they are exchanges.  There is no requirement to have "ex" in the name but apparently many exchanges do.  Kind of like many stock trading sites have trade in their name like E-trade, Scottrade, TD Ameritrade, Firtstrade, tradeking, trademonster, etc... but not Fidelity, Sharebuilder, Schwabb.

May I ask if you've been drinking?

you've offended me  Angry

Sorry, that wasn't my intention.

All of extremepools pools are down.  The web frontend is still up but that's it.  Been that way for awhile.

Zoidberg just needs to come and say hi and now BBR is back on the first page

#100

Why dont u guys do bimonthly boolberry basket?

How about the Slice?  In reference to pie as in Boolberry pie?  Some people make fun of the name.  That can be used for advantage.

Someone already did a bacon coin, which is extremely similar to pork coin.

With the old animal coin craze a few months ago, I'm surprised that nobody has bothered to make a "Pigcoin" yet.

Ya can not deny the fact that most of Chinese coins are shit and scam, right?

I could be wrong but isn't the creator of Litecoin - coblee, Chinese? Google doesn't reveal much but I think "Lee" is a Chinese name and his brother is the president of BTC China.

They are US citizens born in the US of Chinese descent.

You must have missed piggy coin

I have talked to Scruffy in Skype and he is an official dev. Zoidberg alluded to it in a post a few weeks ago to make it more "official", what a few of us knew for a while. Albeit it was zoidbergesque  Wink Grin

ATM scruffy is working on BBR new wallet version since i want to have second developer who familiar with BBR code, so this took more time that i expected, but this is need for project safety, a lot of people were talked about it before in this thread.

Zoidberg

Having said that, the feedback from everyone should surely resonate with the more formal approach that we expect from devs and Scruffy sure seems to be on board. I suspect he was enthusiastic to get testing going having worked on it for a while and didn't really mean any harm.  I know clintar may not necessarily have the inclination, but he is also a prime candidate to be an additional dev imo.

Great to see the community behind the two major CN coins - Monero and BBR. I know everyone is swimming uncharted waters and speculation is rampant, but the odds of CrtyptoNote making it where no coin not named Bitcoin has ever made it, are quite massive.

Monero and BBR are the future of cryptonote.  If BBR and XMR combined can get close to the market capitalization of another non-btc protocol coin like NXT within the next year that would be an accomplishment.  There's no reason it can't happen.
